Sasuke: Sakura, Do it now./Sakura: "I know he feels a certain weakness with me because convincing him to come was not easy"
Sakura: "the same as on the night of the party. Just like when it was my support shoulder in the death of yuyori. And tonight with dad and come here."
Sakura: "But I had to do something...We had to do something."
Sakura: "Now I understand his words from that night: <things are happening around you more important than these>"
Sakura: I...
Sakura: Deidara. I can walk by myself, so stop grabbing me.
Deidara: I prefer not to take risks with you.Sakura: what? Do you think I will falls on you like a spider monkey? I do not believe anything you say, it can be a code.

Deidara: I'll be right back, do not come out until I tell you

Sakura: he's just talking to another man./ Sasuke: how many do you get to see?

Temari: I warned you, deidara. I fucking warned you!
Temari: I told you to leave him in peace!
Temari: that garbage did not have the sight of a laboratory and because of you Gaara is dead!
Deidara: You have to understand something. I didn´t kill your brother.
Deidara: he was just stupid enough to consume it. He could have said no to drugs. Is not that what parents teach their children? Oh sure, you are orphans.
Temari: You...
Temari: You dont know anything!!!!
Deidara: And I told you...
Deidara: to not play with me. Did not it become clear to you?
Temari: You speak as if you were the pioneer of this dump, poor inept. You are just another pawn
Temari: and I will destroy this vicious board
Temari: only with a spark the thing you are so proud of will be reduced to ashes. The place is full of gas
Temari: How does it feel? Stay in the other side of the line.
Sakura: "NO! THEY WILL BURN THE EVIDENCE" *Open*
Sakura: I can´t be outside...
Temari: What the hell, Kankuro?
Kankuro: gaara was an idiot always drugged, you know it. and now you're being a pain in my ass./Temari: But he was...We are your brothers!
Deidara: nothing better than family to do bussiness. Is not this beautiful?
Temari: Rot all!
Deidara: I'm afraid that I should draw the line you mentioned before. the position where you and I are
Sakura: Got damn!
Deidara: besides chess, Russian roulette is one of my favorite games
Temari: you are sicker than...!! //Kankuro: Did you bring someone with you?
Deidara: What?//Sakura: Shit, shit...
Deidara: *Sigh* Why do things have to be this way?
Deidara: Sakura, why did not you stay at home today?
Kankuro: Temari, you can´t run away
Sakura: if sasuke was here he would tell me to run...But I...
RUN
Sakura: I...
*Beat*
Temari: RUN DAMN IDIOT!
Sakura:"we are all very still and expectant.the sound of the shot for me was as unreal as in a movie"
Sakura: But the truth is that that shot was real
Sakura: and one of the three could have been the target
Sakura: I had heard that when you get a shot you do not feel anything at the moment. the pain comes later and you feel that you burn inside
Sakura: so I waited for hell inside of me´. But It never arrive and I feared the worst for others
Kankuro: What the hell, man?
Temari: You are fucking crazy!
Deidara: I am not the one who was about to set on fire this place!
Deidara: I will say this just one time an I hope you understand, ok?
Deidara: the next time I will not miss the shot
Deidara: so do not try anything
Deidara: Sakura come closer, we came to this after all
Deidara: and do not forget who of the two is armed
Deidara: Come on honey, you're safe, you have nothing to fear. She? I do not think so
*step*
Sakura: so this is what we came here for. to commit a crime, Deidara?
Deidara: are just setbacks, the purpose of this trip is still the same. so tell me, what do you think is in there?

THE BEST TIPS TO HELP YOU EXPERIENCE "ASTRAL PROJECTION" FOR YOU - Duration: 9:00.
THE BEST TIPS TO HELP YOU EXPERIENCE ASTRAL PROJECTION FOR YOURSELF
BY KALEE BROWNNOVEMBER
Imagine this: Youve gotten into bed and shut your eyes for a moment, and then all
of a sudden, when you open them again, youre hovering over your body.
Youre conscious, but its not the you you typically identify as, the one with a
face and clothing and jewelry, but the real you, your soul.
Youre looking down at your body and you realize you can move, almost as if youre
flying.
You say goodbye to your body and begin to travel around your room, down your stairs,
out your door, and then you wake up.
This is a form of astral projection, commonly referred to as an out of body experience.
Some people have reported astral projecting during a dream-like state, while others have
experienced this same thing when they had a near-death experience.
Some find the experience terrifying, and others find it humbling and exciting, knowing they
can travel throughout the physical plane using only their astral bodies.
If youve ever wanted to try astral projecting or wish to learn more about it, this article
is for you!
What Is Astral Projection?
Astral projection is an esoteric term that describes when the soul exits the physical
body and enters the astral body.
When astral projecting, you are consciously aware of it.
Many people will look at their physical bodies and recognize themselves while theyre in
a sleep-like state.
It is said that astral projection is an out-of-body experience that can be achieved either through
dreaming, deep meditation, or even when youre awake.
As far as I know, most people who astral project will simply explore the physical plane as
they know it.
However, it is said that the Akashic Records can be accessed from here and one can travel
through timelines and even communicate with other beings (sometimes even other projectors).
Its important to note that most people dont experience the same third dimensional
physical constraints when astral projecting.
For example, most souls are able to travel while projecting out-of-body by way of flying
or floating.
Astral projecting is very different from dreaming or even lucid dreaming.
When youre dreaming, youre unconscious.
When youre experiencing a lucid dream, you are usually conscious of the fact that
youre dreaming, and thus you can manipulate scenarios and control your dreams.
However, when youre astral projecting, your soul literally exits the body, but you
are consciously controlling it.
Techniques for Having an Out-of-Body Experience
Though many people dont consciously plan to astral project, it is said that you can
use certain techniques to help yourself astral project or have an out-of-body experience
(OBE).
If youre interested in trying to astral project, give the following techniques a shot:
The Rope Technique
This is actually the only technique Ive tried, and I sort of had success!
Though I didnt have a full-blown OBE, I definitely felt it coming on and left my body
for a few moments, until I got too scared and decided to stop.
Basically, all you do is envision an invisible rope hanging from the top of your ceiling,
directly over your body.
You then imagine that youre reaching out your astral body hands and slowly pull
yourself up the imaginary rope.
You may feel dizzy, which is completely normal.
Keep concentrating on climbing the rope, hand over hand and very slowly, and dont stop
until youve freed your astral body.
Watch Yourself Falling Asleep
This method requires you to be very diligent as you begin to fall asleep.
Tell yourself that youre going to watch yourself fall asleep and actually stay conscious
during the entire process, including when you enter into the dream state.
Recognize every sensation you experience as your physical body falls asleep, as this will
help you remain conscious.
As you fall deeper into a dream-like state, you may experience some buzzing and heaviness.
Use this to help yourself stay conscious and visualize yourself floating above your body.
Continue to visualize this until you hopefully reach the point of OBE.
Wake Back to Bed Method
Though not very enjoyable for those of us who enjoy sleeping, the wake back method
is very popular to induce astral projection as well as lucid dreaming.
Set your alarm for a few hours before you usually wake up, but dont get up when it
goes off, simply shut it off and lay back down once your mind is awake.
Ideally, you want to keep your alarm close by so you barely need to move your body to
shut it off.
This way, your body will be close to falling back asleep but your mind will be awake.
Now, start to envision yourself astral projecting in the same way, while also allowing your
body to go to sleep.
Try to remain conscious but allow your body to get heavier and deeper into a sleep-state.
Continuously focus on floating above your body until youre astral projecting.
My Experience With Astral Projection
To be honest, I wasnt really sure if I believed in astral projection until I actually
experienced it myself.
I had had tons of lucid dreams before, but still the thought of projecting my soul out
of my body and consciously hovering over it didnt seem realistic to me.
That is, until it happened one night last summer.
I was sleeping with a friend and, despite having slept there multiple times before,
I was having a lot of trouble falling asleep.
My mind was racing for a period of time but it randomly shut off, and then I kept hearing
this buzzing sound that didnt really sound like any vibration or frequency Id heard
from his house before.
I remember closing my eyes and immediately when I opened them, I was shocked.
I was still staring at the ceiling, but instead of being 10 feet away, I was only a few inches
in proximity.
I immediately recognized that I couldnt be lying down anymore and remember thinking
to myself, When did I stand up?
To my dismay, when I looked down, I saw us sleeping.
I then looked out the window and had somewhat of an internal battle on whether or not I
should leave the bedroom.
Though I wasnt using any words or thinking, I intuitively knew that I was struggling to
decide whether I should explore the night sky or stay in the comfort of the bedroom
near my physical body.
I remained looking out the window for a long time until I finally woke up, shocked that
I had actually astral projected.
Though many of you reading this may feel as though I was simply having another dream,
I know I wasnt.
I was confident that my soul had left my body, especially because everything in the bedroom
was so clear, and I had a strong sense of Self throughout the entire dream.
Ive also had numerous extremely realistic dreams, so realistic that when I wake up,
Im shocked it was a dream, but this was very different.
It was as if I had finally broken free from my shell, and though it was invigorating,
empowering, and somewhat comforting, it was also slightly terrifying.
Its experiences like these that make us seriously question our individuality, our
uniqueness, and our personalities that form our identities on this planet.
We are not our physical bodies; I am not Kalee, and that can be a scary reality to face (especially
when youre literally staring yourself in the face, soul to physical body).
However, although astral projection can shatter your identity, you dont have to abandon
it.
Yes, underneath it all, you are not your physical body, nor are you your experiences and accomplishments.
However, that doesnt mean you have to give it all up!
We are on this planet to experience and to feel.
Though we are not our emotions at our cores, that doesnt mean we shouldnt have them.
If its on this planet, its existence serves a purpose.
This is the heart of detachment knowing your attachments (or what many consider
attachments, like emotions and people) dont define you, because eventually, after death,
you will no longer have them.
If you have any experiences with astral projection, feel free to share them in the comment section
below!

Cafu - Final Draw Challenge - Duration: 1:33.
Let's see. If you could choose to replay
one FIFA World Cup game, which one would it be:
the loss to France in the final in 1998
or the 1-7 against Germany in 2014?
This one is very simple: I would prefer to replay the one in 1998 against France,
because I played in that match, unlike the one in 2014, in which I could not
have changed the result. I would have preferred to play and
have the opportunity to change the outcome of a situation for which I am to blame too,
and not for one I am not responsible at all like the 1-7. So I would choose the one in 1998.
Just so you see that this is all for real: but I will not answer this one,
since I already did the first! Let's see You can line up your perfect 11.
Who is the right back: Cafu or Dani Alves? Let's do it like this:
we play Dani Alves upfront, as a winger, and I play as a wingback,
right behind him.
You realise that I enjoy this game, don't you? I am good at answering questions.
See, how easy it is to answer them? All done!

12 Days of Christmas 2017 Day 1 - Duration: 11:48.
hi thanks for joining me this is angie at chic n scratch this is the project
we're making today and this is day one of the 12 days of Christmas not to be
confused with the twelve weeks okay so here are the supplies you're going to
need this is cherry cobbler cardstock that measures eight and a quarter by
five and a half and then we have four pieces of the be married designer series
paper that measures one and three quarters by one and three quarters and
then we have four pieces that measure one and three quarters by one and an
eighth I've got my little created element here library clip whisper white
cardstock for our images okay so let's get off the simply scored scoring tool
and we'll make this box I'm going to place it on the eighth and a quarter
inch side which I call that the landscape side and I'm going to score it
about one in seven eight is that right yeah three and three-quarters five and
five eighths and seven and a half and then turn it on the five and a half inch
side which I like to call the portrait side and score that at one in seven
eight three and three-quarters and five
okay let's fold on the score lines
your instruction sheet will have a diagram on it of where to cut so we're
going to start down here at the bottom the way you can tell it's the bottom is
the top has this half-inch section I couldn't find my words there for a
second and I'm just cutting up to the score line on all these score lines and
then right here I'm going to remove this section okay now let me show you how
this is going to assemble this is going to attach just like that so we're going
to put adhesive on the bottom piece here there's no more cutting okay so usually
we cut somewhere at the top not on this one so I'm going to place my adhesive
right there I am going to use my tater in tight because I want stronger
adhesive for this box the way this one works
it needs the stronger adhesive okay I'm just going to pull the backing off of
the tearing tape and fold this over okay so that's the back of my box so I want
this to be the front so I'm going to put tear and tape here
so fold the sides in just like that fold the back over and there is a box so this
is the front so I'm going to squeeze and here's our box and that cute okay we're
going to open it back up though we want to add our designer series paper I'm
going to use my liquid glue if I still have some I'm getting low I can tell
this adhesive actually works really well this time of year which would be
considered winter right or almost winter
whoops it's a good thing this stuff dries clear right now this one
now we're going to put a piece of unease
and you could do this stop before you actually assemble the box that way it
might be a little bit easier to attach these so yeah attach them when when the
box is flat there's no mistaken where they go in
fact I'll show you a picture of the diagram that way you'll you'll see like
that see DSP okay find in the front of my box again and there we have it in
that darling okay so library clip I'll put the top
back on my blue so we're going to be stamping two images I'm using the holly
berry happiness the bow and then sweet home we're using Mary okay okay I'm
going to be using my stamping mat first I'm going to stamp Mary and I'm trying
to make it as straight as possible because I'm actually going to use it
with the classic label punch okay there's that one
you know what let's give this a second to drying go ahead and we'll go ahead
and make our bows with the linen thread so this time we're making a triple bow
so I'm gonna make about 3/8 inch sections
it could be seven I think it's about eight and then make our bow I should say
bows okay so maybe you need 10 inches this bow will be a little bit smaller
than the other one okay that's gonna go right there now let's cut out the bow
okay there's that now this one we're gonna cut out and then we're gonna
attach it to a post-it note so that we can come back in and cut it again now if
you want it more at an angle you can you can fussy cut it I just know that I am
NOT going to be able to fussy cut that today okay
so we're gonna take this little I'd like to just call them tour cardboard pieces
and I'm going to take a little mini these are where these mini dimensionals
really come in handy so we're going to place that on the back and add it to our
little tag we're gonna take the bow nicely mini dimensional on the back of
it as well okay let me get these pieces out of here okay so now what we're gonna
do is take a glue dot and add our bow to the library clip and then we're going to
take the backing off our dimensional here and add this to the little corner
of the box right here now the final part is how to attach this so here's what
I've done let's cut this stuff is almost invisible which is lovely
so I'm just going to cut about that much that's probably about ten inches and so
you can either attach it under that glue dot which I've already done or we can
just kind of wrap it around the the library clip so let me show you
not it at the top okay see how it's got that little knot and
then we're gonna wrap it over and under
the bow and it appears that my knot is too far up so that's okay we can fix
that in just a minute you got to make it long enough so that you can get it over
all of that now had I attached it before I added the linen thread it it might be
a little bit easier I swear it's like the minute the camera gets turned on
things become a little bit harder to do okay so there we go
so see how the knot is right there we can actually make that knot a little bit
closer oh oh I hear Elvis you're probably going to hear him well you know
what I'm not gonna do it on camera so look bring that knot up about half an
inch because here comes Elvis he's coming to say good morning okay oops
okay have a great day thanks a lot bye
you

10 things to know when starting Total War: ARENA - Duration: 11:39.
10 things to know when starting Total War: ARENA
Hello, and welcome to Total War: ARENA!
Today we'll be talking about the 10 things you should know
before you jump into your first battle.
First, we'll be looking at a few general rules
on how to work on your army composition.
Then we'll be taking you through
how to use the tools you have to work with your team.
And finally, we'll be giving you 3 tips on how to improve your skills,
and yes, veteran players will be happy to know
that we'll be talking about Friendly fire.
Army composition
Knowing your Commanders
"Pay attention to your Commander's Skills to choose your units"
Knowing your commander, and especially their skills,
is one of the most important factors when choosing which units
you are going to take on the battlefield.
As you can see here, this commander's skills
can only be used by certain type of units.
In this instance, the skill Fury of Boudica
can only be used with melee infantry and war dogs.
Therefore, taking other unit types will deprive you
from the usage of this skill for those other units.
You can check if a unit can or cannot use a skill
by clicking on the unit portrait and check if the skill is greyed out or not.
As a side note, if your commander is below tier 3,
the second and third skills will be greyed out.
If the commander is below tier 5, only the third skill will always be greyed out.
So check out your commander before going into battle
to see what unites would be most effective with him.
Knowing army composition
"Don't take 3 different units, either take 3 times the same or 2 identical units
and a third one to compensate for the other 2 weaknesses"
Controlling 3 different units is very hard, and may often lead you to failure.
Using 3 lots of the same unit has the advantage
of you knowing what all of them can do, therefore making you more efficient.
This can also make your units more effective.
3 lots of archers will deal more damage
than if you had only 1 unit of archers, for instance,
however, this will leave them unprotected.
Taking a 3rd unit different from the 2 others
will help compensate for their weaknesses.
You don't have to wait for an ally who might be occupied somewhere else
to take down any pesky archers chipping at your infantry's health,
you can take your cavalry unit and chase them away.
If you're unsure how to change your troops, click on a unit in your squad,
change the tier if need be, then either drag and drop the units into your squad,
or click on the price of the unit you want,
and select the places in your squad you want it to fill.
Remember that the first unit on the far left side
will have your Commander in its midst.
Knowing your playstyle
"Define what you like to play most:
cavalry, range infantry, melee infantry, pike infantry, and/or siege weapons"
Here's a short presentation of all the different units
to help you build a better understanding of how they work.
As you know, you have the choice between 3 different factions to play,
but all factions have different types of units to choose from.
It can be a bit mind blowing at first and we recommend you
taking the time to try them all out to see which ones suit you best.
Range units excel at damaging enemy units before melee combat starts,
but you'll need to master your evasion skills against cavalry.
Roman infantry are your melee experts and have few rivals in that domain.
Barbarian infantry are great at outmaneuvering your enemies to flank.
Cavalry are there to chase fast units that don't perform well in melee combat
and outmaneuver enemy units to break their morale.
Spear infantry are the most solid wall of defense you can find on the battlefield,
if you manage to protect your flanks and your rear that is.
And later on you can unlock pike infantry.
Artillery units are the slowest units but are here to support advancing troops
and force enemy units to take cover to slow their advance.
They can only be unlocked from tier III onwards.
Keep in mind that depending on your chosen faction,
a similar unit might perform or play differently
when combined with Commander Skills.
Also, some units might be harder to master than others.
Knowing how you can spend free experience
"Don't spend free experience right away—play first, spend later.
It usually is best used at first to buy more Commanders"
Free experience can be spent in many different ways:
to quickly upgrade or boost your Commander or a specific unit to the next tier,
to improve your Commander's skills, and to unlock new Commanders.
As the only other way to unlock Commanders is by spending gold,
we recommend unlocking Commanders first with free experience.
Please note that the more Commanders you have,
the more first win bonuses you can get daily,
and the more free experience you will receive this way.
Another good thing to keep in mind
is that you can spend free experience to upgrade your Commanders' skills,
which improves their efficiency in battle.
Playing a team based game
Knowing where to start
"Learn how to choose your starting position—each unit has a specific role
and you should choose their starting point accordingly."
Now for some short but important advice.
Scouting units, such as cavalry and barbarian infantry,
or front row units such as Roman infantry and Greek infantry,
are usually best placed in the first line.
Barbarians who are more effective in forest areas
are usually best deployed near forest points.
Ranged units and siege engines should then go in the second row.
Last but not least, support cavalry can be used to outflank enemy lines
by going on the top or bottom of the map
to arrive in the battle after the first melee engagement.
In the end, there are no bad places to deploy your troops,
if you have the right strategy to go with it.
As a new player you might want to stick with what we just explained
as a safe keeping guideline until you are more comfortable trying out new tactics.
Knowing how to communicate
"Learn to use the communication tools to improve team effectiveness"
In all team based games it's important to communicate with your allies,
and we've designed a few useful tools to help with this.
The first one lets you draw on the map, so you can show
where you'll be going or asking your allies to hold a specific position.
You can draw on the deployment map, the mini map, and even on the battlefield.
By pressing any of the keys from F2 to F7,
you can easily ping specific advice, orders, and requests to your teammates.
The text chat, while being slow, can be useful to convey precise ideas
and potential tactics before the game starts or once all units are dead,
to help secure the victory for your team
by helping them to coordinate with each other,
and calling out for ambushes they might not have seen.
Knowing teamwork
"Don't charge into enemies alone but cooperate with your teammates
by staying close to at least one of them"
Working as a team will often help secure victory,
while being a lone wolf will only allow the enemy team to ambush you
with more troops than you can handle.
This is a team based game, and everything is about how you play as a team.
Therefore, charging head on all alone will very often
result in you being outnumbered, and your troops being crushed.
Charging with an ally or two will help you to match
or even outnumber your opponents,
helping you secure an advantage on your side of the battlefield.
This leaves you with opportunities to support weaker flanks,
or surprise the enemy where they might not expect you.
One of the most important skills in Total War: ARENA
is outflanking your opponent, and creating situations
where you outnumber or can ambush your enemies.
This can give your team the winning edge by getting rid
of a few enemy troops without losing many of your own.
Improving your game skills
Knowing the importance of vision
"Learn to use the mini map and camera to improve your battlefield vision"
Knowing where your enemy is, and more importantly, where your allies are,
can save your troops and give you a huge tactical advantage.
Understanding when and where to be is an essential skill in Total War: ARENA,
and learning how to use your mini map
will be a crucial element to securing victory.
Your camera has a limited view, therefore it is important to play with it
and scan the areas around you and further away as often as possible
to have a better understanding of the action going on.
You can see the amount of troops present in an area using the mini map.
However, you won't know the amount of soldiers alive in each stack,
and there is a difference between 6 mostly depleted units and 3 untouched units.
So going there with your camera
can give you a more accurate reading of the situation.
Rotating your camera can also show you who's behind you,
their status, and if they're moving towards you or not,
while this might not be obvious at first on the mini map.
Once it becomes obvious, it might be too late anyway.
Knowing when to chase your enemies
"Check out unit speeds to see if it's worth chasing it.
Do they have a speed buff skill and do you have one?
Don't let yourself being kited."
It is not wise to chase your enemies as you might either fall in an ambush,
or just be lured away from combat when your team is in need.
But you must also be wary of being kited.
'Kited' refers to a ranged unit shooting at a slower unit,
chasing them around the map without ever being able to catch them
while their health is trickling away slowly but surely.
Checking the unit speeds at your tier is a good idea
to have a better understanding of who can run faster than you.
As you can see in this example,
the Greek ranged unit is faster than the Roman infantry unit,
but nearly equivalent in speed compared to the barbarian infantry unit.
Don't forget to take into account commander skills,
as some may have a boost that will help their unit catch up to your unit,
or have their ranged unit barely escaping your charge.
Knowing Friendly Fire
"Don't ignore Friendly Fire messages in the upper center part of your screen"
Friendly Fire can be a painful mechanic for more experienced players,
as a lot of newer players, and some not so new ones, may not pay attention
to the Friendly Fire message appearing in the top of the screen.
It is usually triggered by range units or pike and spear units.
If you're firing volleys or projectiles in a melee fight
you will hit your allies as well as your enemies.
And if you're in phalanx mode,
walking into your own troops you will end up taking them out.
This is called friendly fire. Avoid this at all costs.
One of the current consequences is loss of silver,
and we are studying what else can be done to discourage this kind of behavior
as well as helping newer players understand friendly fire more quickly.
That being said, at times it can be a good thing.
One easy example is when the enemy outnumbers a small last standing unit,
having them all grouped around your allied unit
is a good time to take as many of them out as possible
while they are focused and staying in the same spot.
You can also avoid doing friendly fire by using the skill Focus Fire,
or by turning off the Hoplite phalanx mode.
That's all for today, thank you for joining us.
We hope you found this video useful

Assemble - Jack Marshall Can't Do This - Webseries - Ep 28 - Duration: 4:48.
So, remember how last time we talked about me leaving to see Olivia?
And remember how Morgan dropped off those blackmail
photos of Olivia and I at the Thanksgiving Eve Benefit?
Well, this morning everybody's favorite handyman delivered...
Kay, yep.
Delivered an official document.
We are getting evicted.
And I just started living here.
Apparently, after Arthur found out I left the county
lines he was drafting a document the next day.
According to Morgan.
I don't know why he didn't just mail them.
I guess having Morgan hand-deliver them
was just too delicious of a just dessert to pass up.
and he probably saved money on postage.
I'm sorry can just desserts be delicious?
It doesn't matter.
I have a week to get my stuff and get out.
Which is a problem.
Yeah, tell me about it
because my aunt's memorial is in two weeks
and it's being held here at the house.
Can you just ask him for an extension?
I already emailed him.
What'd he say?
He said rules are rules.
That old softie.
I just want to know what tipped him off.
Your vlog?
I guess. He doesn't really track of these sort of things.
Yeah, well maybe you misjudged him.
Or maybe somebody's helping him.
House?
Where is he by the way?
He's shopping for more Christmas decorations.
Nice!
No, I didn't, no he thought of that one all on his own.
I think he's giving me the cold shoulder.
Oh, can ice give the cold shoulder?
[Doorbell]
Ponder that as I go answer the door.
I bet it's Morgan back to rub it in our face.
Yes, well I will threaten him with bodily harm.
I think House is on to the fact that I think he's a scoundrel
and also kind of boring.
Hey! It's the man of God.
Hey, hey, Jack, you got a minute?
I'm Paul by the way.
Hi, I'm Donni, Jack's cousin.
I just really need to talk to you.
Look, I'm sorry to barge in on you like this - -
No, no, what is it?
Has something happened to you?
Maybe, yeah, we're getting kicked out.
Kicked out of the house?
Yeah, I broke the terms of the will.
You did? Why?
I'm asking myself that same question.
I left the county to see a girl.
Meredith? Isn't that the girl you were asking about?
Her name is actually Olivia.
Wait, Armstrong?
Yep.
She's in the will. You can't.
That's correct.
But, but you did.
Congratulations, Paul. You are all caught up.
Well, she comes from a lovely family so I can't blame you - -
Oh, I can!
Though you're probably the reason why my office was turned inside out.
I think, I think Morgan did it.
Wait, what? Why would he do that?
I have a few things of your aunt's.
A book and a few items I hide borrowed.
I guess the the search for the missing treasure has expanded.
Well, it hasn't been successful inside the house, so...
Not yet anyway.
So this means the money, from the school?
Arthur's gonna be, Arthur's gonna be coming - -
No, no, no, we will figure that out together. Okay?
It was a gift and I'm not gonna let Arthur come after the money from the school.
Are you sure you are up up to that challenge?
Oh, more than ever.
Okay, well I'm gonna I'm gonna help you in any way I can.
Look, Paul, and this goes for you too Donni,
This is a problem that I created so I'm not gonna - -
Wait, wait, wait, is this your I can do it all by myself speech?
More or less.
Because I did not leave a research team in northern Alaska to be on the sidelines.
I'm in. Dude, I've been in.
Okay, then let's keep looking.
Okay.
Okay, I feel like this is a moment I should be quoting a verse or a parable
or something but nothing nothing comes to mind
so I'm going to say I'm in.
Paul, I'm so happy to hear you say that.
Yeah, me too.
We have an alliance.
Oh and we're on a clock.
And we don't know what we're looking for.
Guys, can you just let me have a moment of victory, please?
Happy?
We'll let you know as soon as we figure anything out
but please, in the meantime, send us whatever ideas you have about the riddle.
Oh and don't forget the hashtag.
You have any more of that?
Oh, yeah. Follow me.

Meta Learning Shared Hierarchies | Two Minute Papers #210 - Duration: 3:25.
Dear Fellow Scholars, this is Two Minute Papers with Károly Zsolnai-Fehér.
Reinforcement learning is a technique where we have a virtual creature that tries to learn
an optimal set of actions to maximize a reward in a changing environment.
Playing video games, helicopter control, and even optimizing light transport simulations
are among the more awesome example use cases for it.
But if we train a reinforcement learner from scratch, we'll see that it typically starts
out with a brute force search in the space of the simplest, lowest level actions.
This not only leads to crazy behavior early on, but is also highly ineffective, requires
way more experience than humans do, and, the obtained knowledge cannot be reused for similar
tasks.
It can learn the game it was trained on, often even on a superhuman level, but if we need
it to function in a new environment, all this previous knowledge has to be thrown away.
And this algorithm is very much like how humans learn - it breaks down a big and complex task
into sequences of smaller actions.
These are called sub-policies and can be shared between tasks.
Learning to walk and crawl are excellent examples of that and will likely be reused for a variety
of different problems and will lead to rapid learning on new, unseen tasks, even if they
differ significantly from the previously seen problems.
Not only that, but the search space over sub-policies can easily be a hundred or more times smaller
than the original search space of all possible actions, therefore this kind of search is
way more efficient than previous techniques.
Of course, creating a good selection of sub-policies is challenging, because they have to be robust
enough to be helpful on many possible tasks, but not too specific to one problem, otherwise
they lose their utility.
A few episodes ago, we mentioned a related technique by the name Neural Task Programming,
and it seems that this one is capable of generalization not only over different variations of the
same task, but across different tasks as well.
These ants were trained to traverse several different mazes one after another and quickly
realized that the basic movement directions should be retained.
Creating more general learning algorithms is one of the holy grail problems of AI research,
and this one seems to be a proper, proper step towards defeating it.
We're not there yet, but it's hard not to be optimistic with this incredible rate of
progress each year.
Really excited to see how this area improves over the next few months.
The source code of this project is also available.
Oh, and before we go, make sure to check out the channel of Robert Miles who makes excellent
videos about AI, and I'd recommend starting with one of his videos that you are objectively
guaranteed to enjoy.

You Don't Know How Toilets Work - The Illusion Of Explanatory Depth - Duration: 11:39.
>> ALEX: You don't know how toilets work.
This thing you use every single day, hopefully, you know almost nothing about even though
you may think you do.
I guarantee it.
Well, actually, I don't guarantee it, maybe a plumber is watching, or maybe you just really
know how a toilet works, but chances are that you think you know how a toilet works, but
you actually don't.
Let's talk to some people, and, I recommend you too answer my questions as we go.
Hey guys, I'm here interviewing some people, let's get technical.
So, on a scale of 1-10, 1 being you have no knowledge whatsoever, 10 being you're an expert
in this, rate how well you understand how a toilet works.
>> PARTICIPANT: 3
>> ALEX: A 3? That's a good answer.
>> PARTICIPANT: A 9 or 8 I think
That is a 3 for me
3, 4 maybe
I'd go with maybe a 2
3.5
I give it a 4.5 out of 10
Maybe 3
3
5
>> ALEX: That's good, solid answer.
So, can you explain to me, step by step, how a toilet works.
>> PARTICIPANT: Well, so there's a handle, and you flush it, and it goes through some machinery,
There's little lever inside the little box that's behind what you sit on, and then it...
I just know there's just kinda pipes, and I don't really know.
The water washes down into the pipes, okay?
There's like pipes going into the top thing, and then you press the flusher thing, and then the water goes all around and it flushes the gross stuff out.
>> ALEX: How does it actually, like, *flush* it out?
>> PARTICIPANT: It goes down a pipe? I don't know.
Water comes out into the bowl, and pushes the stuff down.
>> ALEX: Can you elaborate on that? Like, the pushing?
>> PARTICIPANT: Um, I'm not sure.
>> ALEX: How does the water actually go down?
>> PARTICIPANT: Um, can't wait for the next Technicality video for that one!
>> ALEX: Cool! So, now after you explained it, can you reevaluate yourself? On a scale of 1-10, rate how well you know how toilets work.
>> PARTICIPANT: 2
A 6 or a 7.
Like, 2 or 3.
Like a 2.
I think 2 was maybe pretty accurate, although I might want to decrease to a 1.
I'd put myself on a 1.5.
I don't know, I think I'm still a 3.
Uhh, like an 7. I did better than I thought I would.
I'm gonna say 2-3.
Oh, like 1. *both laugh*
This is known as the illusion of explanatory depth, the keyword there being explanatory,
but we'll get to that later.
The Illusion of Explanatory Depth is when people inaccurately overestimate their knowledge in a certain thing.
You can see this illusion everywhere, because there's so much stuff we use all the time
and people know almost nothing about, but they think they do.
You could just swap toilets from the previous example and replace them with refrigerators
or zippers or locks or bikes or can openers or a lot of other things!
THERE'S SO MANY THINGS!
Leonid Rozenblit and Frank Keil, both Yale psychologists, coined the term back in 2002
with this study: The misunderstood limits of folk science: an illusion of explanatory depth.
Hey, quick post-production note. You may notice I didn't put in a picture of Mr. Rozenblit, and that's because no picture of him comes up when you Google his name, but John Green's there for some reason, soooo.
Among other things, like doing many, many, many tests to prove that this is actually
a thing, they outline four factors that contribute to this illusion of explanatory depth.
One!
Change blindness.
Or, more specifically, change blindness blindness.
Let me explain.
This is a bike.
You probably know that, but, now, close your eyes, can you picture a bike?
Maybe it looks something like this, or maybe this, or maybe even this.
Yea, none of those designs would actually work as a bike.
This is Phil Fernbach.
He has a doctorate in cognitive science and is the co-author of The Knowledge Illusion:
Why We Never Think Alone.
>> PHIL FERNBACH: A psychologist studied this question, he wanted to see if people know how a bike works.
He brought people into the lab. He gave them a simple test, he said, "just draw in where the pedals go, draw in where the chain goes and draw in where the frame goes.
I'm gonna show you a couple examples of what people came up with.
Here's one. Bikes haven't looked like this since the 1920s
Here's another one. If you have teeny-tiny legs, this might be the bike for you.
>> BABY LEGS: Baby legs, here we go!! TTTttttt (I don't know how to put that sound into words)
>> ALEX: That was a clip from his TED talk on the subject.
Except for that Rick and Morty clip, I added that myself.
>> PHIL FERNBACH: I didn't cherrypick these examples, these are good representations of the average level of knowledge of bicycles, despite the fact that we all ride them every single day.
>> ALEX: We, as humans, rely very heavily on information that is right in front of us.
"When people succeed at solving problems with devices they may underestimate how much
of their understanding lies in relations that are apparent in the object as opposed to being
mentally represented."
When the bike is in front of me, of course it's a bike, but when we change that, we
become both blind to the makeup of the bike and blind to the fact that we are blind to
the makeup of the bike.
Change blindness blindness
Two!
Confusion with layers of explanation.
What is this?
Ok, so let's take my phone, for example.
How would you explain my cell phone?
Well, among other things, you might mention that there's a touch screen, a battery,
a speaker, emojis, and a camera.
Ok, so if you're then asked what's a camera, you might mention, well, there's a lens,
a flash, an aperture, et cetera.
Did you just see what we did there?
We just delved into 2 different layers of analysis when it comes to my phone.
The first layer is the stuff that makes up my phone, the second layer is the stuff that
makes up that stuff, and so on and so on if we were to continue.
A problem arises when we gain a surface layer understanding of something, but then think
we know all the layers, creating the illusion of explanatory depth.
Going back to our toilet example, yes, you know that when you press the flushy thing,
the water in the tanky thing empties, and pours out into the bowly thing.
But wait, how does the water actually get from the tank to the bowl?
Where does all that water in the bowl go?
How does the tank know when to stop refilling?
And what other parts play a role?
These are deeper level questions that you may not be able to answer, but because you
know the first layer, your brain thinks "Yea, I know how that works."
And this contradiction is a big
factor in the illusion of explanatory depth.
Three!
Murkiness of Knowledge.
This one kinda builds on the previous point.
Remember when I said that the key word in the illusion of explanatory depth is explanatory?
That's because this illusion really only works with explanatory knowledge, not with
facts or processes or other kinds of knowledge.
It's really easy to know if you know a fact or a process.
Do you know how old I am?
It's a question in the comments that is very very very very very very very very very
very very very very hey we done yet?
No?
Not even close?
Cool cool.
Very very very
>> SPONGEBOB NARRATOR: 2,000 years later.
>> ALEX: Very very very very very common.
It's a fact, and it's pretty easy to tell if you know it or not.
A...
A lot of people don't, apparently.
You just ask yourself, how old is Alex?
And if your answer is I don't know, then you don't know, and if your answer is the
15, then you know it.
Same reasoning for processes.
For example, do you know how to turn on post notification for Technicality?
*weird wink thing*
If your answer is I don't know, then you don't know, and if your answer is, well,
just click the little bell right beneath the video, check "Send me all notifications
for this channel," and click save, then you know it.
So do that--.
However, with explanatory knowledge, that ease simply isn't there because of those
layers of explanation we talked about earlier.
With processes, you have a clear beginning and end, and with facts, it's clear if you
either know them or if you don't.
None of that is true when it comes to explanatory knowledge.
Explanations usually, if not always, have no clear ending because there are so many
layers of explanation you can go into, and, thus, it's not clear if know it or not.
And finally, four!
The rarity of explanations.
Think about the last time you said a fact or told someone about a process.
It probably wasn't too long ago.
However, explanations are much more rare.
You don't often explain how toilets or bikes or refrigerators work, and that's because
you don't really need too.
Thus, we have less familiarity with explanations, making us more susceptible to overestimating
our knowledge.
Quote from the Rozenblit and Keil study, "Although each of these four features may be present
to some extent with other kinds of knowledge, such as facts or procedures, we claim they
converge most strongly with explanations, producing a powerful illusion of knowing."
One of the most important takeaways of the illusion of explanatory depth is that recognition
does not equal understanding.
You know THIS is a computer, but that doesn't mean you know how it works.
And that's ok, if my computer ever breaks, well, I know a guy who can hook me up and
fix it, right?
*long, awkward pause* The Division of Cognitive Labour.
Many many years ago, when we switched from a hunting and gathering society to an agriculture
society, we also switched to specialization.
This means that people who are the most helpful to society are really good at one thing, because,
if we're all really good at one thing, we can all work together to combine those talents.
No one needs to know everything, but if they know a lot of other people, and, collectively,
those other people know almost everything, then we're all set.
This is the Division of Cognitive Labour.
That's why we see kids start suffer from the illusion of explanatory depth at the same
age they learn about which professionals know what, around 3-5 years old.
At those ages, kids learn stuff like how a doctor will know how to make you not sick
and farmer will know how to make you not hungry.
That's why we can get away with the illusion of explanatory depth.
Because we've evolved so that we can rely on others, it doesn't hurt us to not be
able to explain something.
Or does it?
See, it's not gonna hurt me to not know how zipper zips stuff, but can the illusion
of explanatory depth actually have a pretty big impact?
Turns out, yea.
Remember Phil Fernbach from earlier?
Well, in that TED Talk, he talks about a study he did where he brought in participants and
polled them on certain topical political issues.
Stuff that's fairly controversial, like a single-payer healthcare system, and emissions
trading, and GMOs.
Participants were asked to explain how each of those things work, and what Phil and his
team found was that people, even if they have extreme, passionate views on a certain issue,
don't always know how that issue works.
>> PHIL FERNBACH: They think they know how these policies work, when, in fact, they don't. And the attempt to try to explain leads to drastic reduction in the feeling that they get these things.
>> ALEX: Moreover, in another study, they brought in a bunch who people who had all different opinions
on GMOs, ranging from they're great and everyone should eat them to they're terrible
and no one should eat them, and asked participants to answer this question: true or false: a
gene inserted into a food can migrate into the genetic code of humans who consume that
food.
Now, if you're curious, this is false, but what's interesting is what Phil found.
>> PHIL FERNBACH: The people who are most passionate, most vociferously opposed to this, are the ones who most strongly hold this false belief.
Now, I'm not trying to imply that everyone opposed to GMOs hold this false belief.
What I implore you to do, though, is think about it. Do you know enough to hold the position that you do as strongly as you do?
>> ALEX: Woah.
So the next time you're advocating for a certain view, make sure you ask yourself to explain
the topic before you vote or tell the world.
You should, quite literally, check yourself before you wreck yourself.
Oh, and if you're still curious about how the standard toilet works: the water level
is usually low enough so it doesn't go up and then down this pipe, called the trap,
but when you press the handle, the piece covering the hole at the bottom of the tank is lifted,
allowing the water to go into the main bowl, forcing the water currently in the toilet
to go up, in, and down this pipe.
That's why you can "flush" a toilet by just pouring water in it.
