I'm Darren with Akshon Esports and welcome back to another installment of
Akshon Recap, the show where we highlight various stories ongoing within the
esports community. For our first story sold I see have confirmed assigning a
former LW blue player yo gambler jinwoo who will join Toby and Ryu Jae Hong and
support role as the team's 12th member fans of Korean overwatch will know
gamblers one of the top-ranked players in his region and remember him from his
time playing on LW blue up until the team disbanded midway through the third
season of overwatch apex while gambler has many highlight worthy moments from
his time in apex let's not forget about this notorious moment from season 2
during the summer most of his teammates made the move abroad to sign with New
York Excelsior gambler unfortunately remained in Korea but stayed competitive
playing as a member of blossom before being approached by Seoul the following

shock on february 23rd gambler joins a team that is already bursting at the
seams with some of the best support talent in the league so it will be
interesting to see household dynasty manages to make use of this player or if
he like many other overwatch pros will be left on the sidelines as a
benchwarmer but according to head coach Beck the team is already brainstorming
new tactics quote we finally assembled our perfect roster stage 1 provide us
insight to each team strategies and matchup potentials now we are working to
create new strategies by incorporating and coordinating with gambler you can
expect to see us perform with innovative tactics during stage 2 and now to action

what I have to do and we have the same team right I don't have to do everything
by myself we have six player in a team so we just help each other communication

eSports news but I felt I'd be good to talk about the latest teaser for the
next hero coming to overwatch on the official over watched
account a weapon drawing was posted on February 26 called slag a 3.0 with the
design that looks remarkably similar to something that would be wielded by
Reinhardt or Torbjorn looking closer at the picture you can see what appears to
be a pickaxe form of the weapon on the left side whereas on the right side
there appears to be a grappling hook on reddit was also pointed out harden my
pronunciation but slag emetic jaw translates from Swedish to English
roughly as flail with chain possibly hinting that this is a weapon that can
transform these two clues have led a majority of the community to believe
that the upcoming hero beat or Beorn's daughter and reinhardt's trusty
assistant brigitte Lindholm the previous hints dropped by the overwatch team kind
of line up with the idea of brigitte as the next playable character the first
was a message called the after-action report operation white dome that details
the events of an overwatch mission gone bad and revealing where Torbjorn lost
his arm this was followed up last week by a letter from Toby Horne to his wife
Ingrid where he discusses billing a prosthetic arm and asking for Reinhardt
to be Bridget's Godfather additionally Jeff Caplan did mention in
the past that the next hero would be someone we've already seen before in the
lore but I'm a bit of a skeptic about the whole Brigitte idea until the
official reveal for all we know she could be inventing a weapon and some
aged of Talan goes and steals it because knowing blizzard all this teasing could
just be a red herring that distracts us from the identity of the actual hero
what are your takes on all these teasers is it really Brigitte or could we be
getting some agent of Talan or even the person that might be responsible for
taking away torbjørn zarm let us know your ideas in the comment section below
now for our last story of the day NRG esports the parent company of the San
Francisco Shock announced today that their Academy team for overwatch
contenders will be operating out of a team house and training center in
Washington DC this news comes about as a result of the NRG esports partnership
last March with events DC the official Convention and Sports Authority in the
capital of America quote with the overwatch contenders team coming to live
train and play in Washington DC this represents another opportunity for DC to
be positioned as the capital of eSports our eSports initiative will also play a
key role in helping to fuel our growth at the future entertainment and sports
arena in Heights and with an international reach
as well said events DC president Greg Odell in a statement it is important to
note that the team will be playing and living out a DC but not necessarily
playing as the city's representatives NRG esports first match is scheduled for
march 13th at 9 p.m. ET against the philadelphia fusions overwatch academy
