Hey guys! Welcome back to keeping up with the Quebecer! Today, I'll be discussing
about why I started doing YouTube videos.
Last week was the first time I was uploading a video since my filming
hiatus. During that gap, the recent changes in YouTube's policy about
monetization happened. I saw a lot of people on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter
saying ''It doesn't matter. Remember why you started YouTube in the first place.''
And so, this give me the idea of doing a video where I would explain how I came
about to do YouTube videos. And so, here we are! So five or six years ago, I was
watching a lot of travel videos, especially a French guy named Alex.
He wasn't on YouTube but I binge watched all of his content. I was looking to go
do a humanitarian trip. And I liked his style and I was just like ''Oh maybe I
could do that as well!'': document my experience and everything. I was
also a lot into Sick of Sarah's music and they had this YouTube channel where they
would document their life as a music group, from recording music, recording
sessions, to touring. And so, I think I watched also all of their videos and I
was really impressed by people who were filming themselves. So this is sort of my
first experience in terms of watching videos and wanting to do the same thing.
Now fast-forward to maybe two-three years ago.. I was watching by then
ItsJudyslife, Jamie and Nikki, GabeBabeTV.. just to name those ones.. and this is when I
sort of realized that I really, really, really wanted to do this. It wasn't just
like ''Oh I wish I could do that''. No. I really wanted to do the same thing, you
know. I was also looking to go abroad for school. I was looking to do some
archeological field schools. And so I was just like ''Oh maybe I could document it.'' just the same way
I wanted to document my humanitarian trip. I was just like maybe I could record
visiting the place because obviously we can't record anything on the
field, you know. That trip might get done next year, so obviously none of those
videos were recorded.. but the idea is still here. And from that on, two things
happened. The first thing is that my parents and I started looking into video marketing
for the business. We started recording recipes that can be done with some of
the products we sell. That channel is still up and running although it is only
recently that we started really pushing it and giving it the energy that it
really deserves. The second thing that happened is that I started thinking that
maybe I could just start filming my everyday life and build something, an
audience, whatever, so that when I'll go to my field trip, my field school, then I'll
have already something started. I also saw that as an opportunity to be
creative in my everyday life. I come from a background of dance and theatre and so
for me doing videos was sort of a way to be creative because I had to stop
everything when I got to college. So a year and a half ago, I finally started my
YouTube channel. I think it has been one of the best project I have ever done.
I think it brought me a lot of good things. I've mentioned this before so I
won't go on and on about it. I'm so grateful that I've started it. It brought a
lot of things and I've learned a lot of things as well. And I hope I'll
get to do that for many more years. So this is how I came to do YouTube. If you
are debating whether or not you should start your YouTube channel.. I'm telling you:
just do it! It personally took me a while to decide to do it and now that I'm a
year and a half into it, I'm telling guys: do it. Like I should... I know that I should
have started before. And if you already have a channel, please let me know in the
comments why you started doing your YouTube videos. All of that being said,
thank you all so much for watching. Don't forget to hit the thumbs up and
subscribe. Also, make sure to go check out my new second channel and I will see you
guys next week with a vlog. Bye!

Moon and Kim engage in one-on-one talks before summit agreement signing - Duration: 1:50.
We're going to rewind for a bit,... after the leaders held separate lunches, Kim returned
south of the border to continue summit talks.
But before that they made time for a tree-planting ceremony, as well as the opportunity to engage
in talks alone.
Our Kwon Jang-ho has the details.
First on the agenda in the afternoon was the planting of a commemorative tree.
Shortly before 4-thirty PM, President Moon Jae-in emerged from the Peace House at Panmunjom.
He eschewed the red carpet and motorcade and walked to the tree with his advisors.
Meanwhile Kim Jong-un, turned up in a black limousine with his security personnel running
alongside.
After another quick handshake, the two leaders each picked up a shovel, and completed the
planting of a pine tree, with soil from Baekdu mountain in North Korea and from Halla mountain
on South Korea's Jeju Island.
Pine trees hold an auspicious place in Korean history, representing peace and prosperity,
and this one itself was originally sown in 1953, the year that hostilities ended in the
Korean War.
Kim offered a few comments, before they continued to water the tree, again with water from rivers
in the Koreas.
A monument commemorating the occasion was unveiled, with the words, "Here we plant peace
and prosperity."
Then they took a short stroll towards a footbridge, where they looked at an old signpost that
marked the Military Demarcation Line, before they sat down together a table.
The cameramen that had followed them were shoo-ed away, before they engaged in talks
lasting some 30 minutes.
This was the opportunity for the two leaders to have a frank discussion, away from other
officials and the press.
What did they leaders talk about?
That, we may never know.
The two leaders then walked back to the Peace House to continue their afternoon summit talks.

Favourite Beauty & Anti Aging Products Over 50 | 2018 - fabulous50s - Duration: 9:25.
today I'd love to share with you my favorite beauty and anti aging products over 50 for 2018 so far hi I'm
Schellea this is fabulous 50s a lifestyle channel that explores fashion beauty and
lifestyle for women in their 50s okay I've got nine things to show you that
I've picked up this year and I've just learned about this year and they're
really great and I love them okay let's get started first thing I'd love to show
you is the liquid lash extensions from thrive cosmetics this stuff is amazing I
saw a review on YouTube I'll leave the link below I thought yeah that looks
really good so I bought it it came from overseas it arrived in a couple of days
what it does is it builds your lashes as you're layering the coats of mascara and
adds fibers to them so it kind of makes your lashes really expand and it
actually does so if you haven't tried this it's definitely worth buying some
and it's my favorite lash build-up so far and when you take it off at the end
of the day you can feel you can feel like rubbery kind of bits that come off
your eyelashes so you know that that's what's built them up so much so yes it
does definitely build them make them longer and give them a nice curl
definitely worth trying I also purchased this year the hourglass number 28 primer
this is so beautiful if you've got dry skin like I do give this a try because
when you put it on your skin before your foundation and then you layer your
foundation over the top the whole feeling and everything of putting your
foundation on is a hundred times better so if you've got dry skin you know
that adding something smooth and beautiful underneath your foundation
makes a very big difference when I'm wearing this my foundation stays put all
day and my face is continually moisturized
this is beautiful the good thing about this is you can buy a small sample size
to see if you like it if you have dry skin ah it's beautiful
give it a go the next thing I purchased this year was an upgrade in my little
at-home micro needle thing the needles are 0.5 mils and the one I had before
that were 0.25 so 0.25 really is just so that your serums can go in a little bit
deeper and it doesn't really do damage to your skin but when you go to 0.5 and
roll it it does actually damage your skin so that your skin can start
repairing itself and that's where the works done so when I bought this it it
does actually hurt when you do it I think especially around here and I do it
now that I'm more practiced and and easy with it I can do it a lot harder and by
the end of it my face will be quite red but it does take some building up
because it can hurt even if you do it on here you can feel it you can definitely
feel it but since I've got this one and gone up the next level from the 0.25 I
do believe that it is helping so I'll use this at night before I put on my
serums I did buy the neon vitamin C 30% and I really love this as well so I've
been using this for two months now and I find that it is penetrates beautifully
into my skin it's kind of got like an oily consistency and it does tingle and
sting a little bit which is what I like so I've been using many vitamin C serums
over the is but I really like this I was using
the ax bar G 20% before this and I think I'm liking this one better okay and
another thing that I got this year that I love is the EPI Anse medical barrier
cream and I got this to layer on top of my vitamin A cream at night so I'm I was
using the 1% vitamin A at night and I've gone down to 0.05 percent but when I
heard about this one you put it on top and it stops the peeling to a degree my
peeling stopped a lot since I started using this if you are using vitamin A
cream at night this will help you with the peeling for sure it's amazing so
that's a great Buy I've already spoken about my Rey Morris brush but I love
this it was I think a hundred and thirty dollars Australian dollars which is a
lot of money for a brush but I love it I love it and it's a treat and it's just
something beautiful to have and I will have it forever if you're a brush addict
and you love makeup check this out also another really good
find I have found this year is NYX NYX lip glosses I have always used the mac
lipglass gloss on my lips for years and years and years but I think the
consistency has changed let me know if you have the same opinion because they
just seem to be lighter now and they don't last as long and of course all the
colors change and you know you find something you love and then they
discontinue it anyway these are so cheap they're like twelve dollars in Australia
and in the states separately half that but I think they have a very similar
consistency to the mac lipglass and they last as long and they've got that
of tackiness to them that keep them on your lips and keep the gloss going all
day so really cheap and a really good find I think my last thing I want to
show you it's a beauty item but its food so I have just started doing broccoli
sprouts for beauty and you buy one of these and sprout them so these are the
seeds organic seeds and then what you do is you sprout them in a jar with a lid
like this so the idea is to make your own sprouted broccoli seeds and to be
able to eat them whenever you like and the reason I'm doing that is because
broccoli and more so the broccoli sprout has been known to cause detoxification
of the liver enzyme and boost its antioxidant status and that can protect
us against cancer and the sulforaphane that's found it needs broccoli
sprouts has shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells and bad things inside of
our gut so when we have an unhappy gut that's when we look really old in the
face and you know our body starts to resemble pain so everything we can do to
make our guts well will make our bodies thrive and be radiant so this seems like
a really great thing to try it's inexpensive and I'm going to do the
experiment and let you know the results I'll leave some links to dr. Rhonda
Patrick below and she's a leading edge longevity scientist so she's amazing
you've got to watch some of her youtubes she is very very technical and explains
the ins and outs of absolutely everything in a very scientific way but
I'll just tell you in a simple way if you're wet lots of these you are going
to be adding something into your body that's going to be helping you stay
young and fight everything that's bad that's
side of you I'm going to be doing this for at least two months and then I'm
going to share with you the results of what I've experienced since I've been
doing this everyday let me know if you've tried something this year that
you absolutely love and you'd like all of us to know about thank you so much
for watching please give a thumbs up if you enjoyed this video and share it if
you'd like to share this information with some of your friends and have a
beautiful week

SHE'S WALKING! | Millennial Moms - Duration: 3:28.
-Hey BabyLeaguers! Welcome back to another episode of Millennial Moms!
I'm Kelsey from The Wander Family and BabyLeague's Little Wanders and today I've
got some tips to help you help your new little walker.
-Our world has recently been turned upside down because our one-year-old
daughter is now walking. -Yay! -Life can be a little crazy with a fresh new walker so
here are our three tips to help you survive. -Tip number one, babyproof.
If you haven't done this already now is the time. If you thought your little one was
fast as a crawler or a bear crawler, just wait to see how fast they are on their
own two feet. And you'll notice all the sharp edges that jump out in front of your little one.
Tip number two, power up. Learning a new skill is hard work so we
make sure that Juniper is getting plenty of food, taking her naps, and sleeping
well through the night. You'll also want to make sure that you're getting lots of
food so you can chase after your speedy spawn. Tip number three, get out those walking shoes.
Now that she's walking, our little one is constantly exploring
places she didn't know her feet could take her. We try to dress Juniper in
clothes that are comfortable and shoes that offer her little feet support.
We love ikiki's squeaky shoes because unlike most kids shoes, these shoes are
specifically designed for kids. They're not just adult shoes shrunken down to
really small sizes. ikiki shoes are easy to put on little feet because they have
a wide foot opening. They also have a wide toe box so they're roomy for those
chubby little feet. Their high top design also offers extra ankle support.
-Wow. -Then there's the squeak.
This sound helps to encourage new walker's to step heel first and prevent
harmful toe walking. It also helps us to keep track of June. I know what you're
thinking, those adorable squeaks are great but probably not all the time.
Well, ikikis are the only squeaky shoes that offer an off switch.
These adorable shoes are breathable, they offer a soft flexible sole, and they do not use
any animal products throughout the entire shoe. ikiki shoes are also great
for children with special needs, fitting AFO and SMO foot braces and those with
clubfoot disorders. They're also lightweight so kids with low muscle tone
can squeak around too and who can't smile seeing the little piggies chasing
after you. So those are our three tips to help you help your new little walker but
leave a comment down below what are your tips to help with a walking toddler.
We want to give a big thank you to ikiki for sponsoring this video and
if you want to try these adorable ikiki squeaky shoes, then click that link down

ENTER YOUR ZIP CODE HERE TO FIND OUT WHAT'S REALLY IN YOUR TAP WATER - Duration: 7:07.
ENTER YOUR ZIP CODE HERE TO FIND OUT WHATS REALLY IN YOUR TAP WATER
BY ARJUN WALIA
Do you know whats in your drinking water? Probably not. Toxic substances are constantly
found in contaminated drinking water around the world, and its not just developing
countries, but also developed countries like Canada and the United States.
According to the Chicago Tribune, an analysis uncovered toxic lead in the tap water drawn
from more than 70 percent of the homes across Chicago. Substances like aluminum, mercury,
other heavy metals, prescription drugs, and more have been found in other public drinking
water supplies.
This has been a major problem for a while, which is why The Environmental Working Group
(EWG) released a new Tap Water Database that allows people to enter their ZIP code
or their local utilitys name, in order to find out whats in their tap water.
According to Live Science:
The database contains results from testing by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
on drinking water from 2010 to 2015, which includes tests on water from nearly 50,000
water utilities in all 50 states and Washington, D.C. In addition, the EWG incorporated results
from water tests done by state agencies.
So, what did they find? They found that, in total, approximately 270 contaminants were
identified in drinking water across the country, which also included lead and arsenic.
You can access the ZIP CODE based database HERE.
The article published by live science goes on to emphasize how the levels of contaminants
that government regulations allow for are actually higher than what current research
suggests is safe. This is a common theme, and the corporate relationship with government
might have something to do with it. Its not just our drinking water that we see a
lack of appropriate safety regulations, its with many of our products, services, medications
and more.
Furthermore:
For other contaminants, there are no specific federal standards, the EWG says. In the case
of chromium-6, which is a form of the element chromium, for example, the government looks
only at overall chromium levels, and not all types are harmful. Chromium-6 has been linked
to tumors in animal studies, and may also be linked to increased risk of stomach cancer
in workers exposed to the compound, the EWG says. Chromium 3, on the other hand, is
mostly harmless.
This is why in some areas we see chlorine and other disinfectants added into the water
supply, which raises even more health concerns and doesnt really provide an ample solution
to the problem.
Below is a great statement from the Waterkeeper Alliance:
Every day around the world, polluters are poisoning our waterways, and people everywhere
are suffering the consequences. When a coal company discharges millions of gallons of
toxic coal ash into a river, families who depend on that waterway as a drinking-water
source are the innocent victims. When a developer demolishes a forest of mangroves, it destroys
fisheries and devastates the local economy. When hog farms dump untreated waste into a
waterway, people and marine life get sick. These are just a few examples of the battles
that Waterkeeper Alliance fights every day around the world on behalf of the common good
and to protect everyones right to clean water.
When we ponder what the solutions to the problems are, at the deepest levels, the solution is
us; me, you and everyone you know. If we want to change the planet, we have to change ourselves.
Everybody seems to want change, yet nobody is willing to take a look in the mirror and
make that change. Secondly, its organizations like the Waterkeeper Alliance that help to
bring awareness to these issues.
Whether tracking down polluters in action on the water, in courtrooms helping to enforce
environmental laws, or advocating in town meetings or teaching in the classrooms, this
is how they do it.
The water pollution problem of all Earths waterways is one of the biggest issues our
world faces today. I believe Earth is a conscious being and shes been extremely patient with
us. We dont have to be here, we are not needed and weve become a threat to our
own planet when we could, with ease, have a human experience that sees everybody, including
all life on the planet, thrive.
The corporate take-over of our governments, and those who enforce the rules here
dont really represent the people, or a group that looks to preserve and take care
of our planet. If that was so, it wouldve been done a long time ago.
Instead, we let our leaders gather every single year to talk about solutions, but thats
all they seem to do. There is no real regard for humanity, but instead, geo-political agendas
take the forefront.
Weve had solutions to our pollution problems for decades, yet Red Tape continues to get
in the way.
On a more positive note, the amount that the global population is speaking up and creating
initiatives to combat these problems is larger than its ever been. At least there are
huge efforts underway, and I do believe we are living in a time of great change. Part
of this time is to help restore and protect the planet, and thats a priority for many.
Industry, geo-politics and globalization has lead to what we have here today. Id like
to leave you with a quote that Ive used many times before, so if youve already
seen it, I apologize.
Political parties exist to secure responsible government and to execute the will of the
people. From these great staffs, both of the old parties have ganged aside. Instead of
instruments to promote the general welfare they have become the tools of corrupt interests
which use them in martialling [sic] to serve their selfish purposes. Behind the ostensible
government sits enthroned an invisible government owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility
to the people. To destroy this invisible government, to befoul the unholy alliance between corrupt
business and corrupt politics is the first task of the statesmanship of the day.
 Theodore Roosevelt
Oh, and obviously, dont forget to get yourself a good water filter!

2018 Inter-Korean summit comes to an end - Duration: 2:41.
An historic day indeed, and one that ended in spectacular style with the the farewell
ceremony we just watched.
President Moon and Kim Jong-un parted ways just about a half an hour ago.
Earlier in the evening they signed a joint declaration -- the "Panmunjom Declaration"
-- which officially ends all hostilities between the two sides.
Our Hwang Ho-jun has the latest from the Panmunjom Press Pool.
A farewell ceremony for the visiting North Korean leader was held tonight just outside
the Peace House, the main venue for today's historic summit meeting.
President Moon and Kim Jong-un watched a video together... projected onto the facade of the
Peace House;... the theme of the video -- "A New Spring Enjoyed Together."
And with that President Moon bid farewell to his North Korean counterpart.
The ceremony took place immediately after the welcoming dinner hosted by the South Korean
President at the Peace House in honor of the visiting North Korean leader.
As expected Kim Jong-un's wife, Ri Sol-ju, and South Korea's first lady Kim Jung-sook
both attended the feast,... along with high-ranking officials from both Koreas.
The dinner kicked off with a series of performances and dishes from the hometowns of President
Moon Jae-in, the late South Korean Presidents Kim Dae-jung and Roh Moo-hyun.
Even food from Switzerland, where Kim Jong-un spent part of his childhood, and the renowned
Pyongyang-style naengmyun, or cold noodles, were served as well.
But of course the highlight of the day came when the joint declaration was made by the
two leaders,... the "Panmunjom Declaration."
For the first time in history, President Moon and Kim Jong-un held a joint press conference
after signing that document.
President Moon and Kim both declared there will no longer be war on the Korean Penisula
and a new era of peace has begun.
They pledged to cooperate to deescalate military tension by halting all aggression in any form
and to realize a "complete" denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
"Today, Chairman Kim and I affirmed that realizing a nuclear-free Korean Peninsula through complete
denuclearization is our mutual goal."
"Living in such close proximity, we are not peoples of different ethnicities that must
fight against each other, but one people that shares the same blood and must live in harmony
with one another."
The agreement also says the two leaders will seek to make an official declaration of the
end of war within this year; the two Koreas technically remain at war as the 1950-53 war
ended with an armistice, not a peace treaty.
A reunion of separated families will also take place in this coming August 15th.
And President Moon will pay a return visit to Pyongyang this fall.

Moon and Kim engage in one-on-one talks before summit agreement signing - Duration: 1:59.
When President Moon and Kim Jong-un first met this morning, it was in front of all the
press, and their first sit-down discussion included many of their top aides.
But in the afternoon, they got some time to speak one on one.
And they did that while taking a walk around the grounds of Panmunjom.
They also planted a tree together... symbolizing peace... and the mutual prosperity of South
and North.
Our Kwon Jang-ho has more on the events of this afternoon.
First on the agenda in the afternoon was the planting of a commemorative tree.
Shortly before 4-thirty PM, President Moon Jae-in emerged from the Peace House at Panmunjom.
He eschewed the red carpet and motorcade and walked to the tree with his advisors.

What did they leaders talk about?
That, we may never know.
The two leaders then walked back to the Peace House to continue their afternoon summit talks.
