Asia's Next Top Model S6 - EPISODE #8 - Duration: 49:20.
Previously on Asia's Next Top Model.
With Jac's unexpected exit from the house...
Jac is an amazing model, but she's gone.
That just goes to show how intense
this competition is becoming.
The girls' competitive spirits started to come out.
There's two Thai girls.
We just need to cut it down to one.
And then we start kicking each other out.
The alumni mentors reveal their coming exit.
This week, will be the last week
that I'll stay here with you guys.
-Really? -What?
-Why? -No more hand-holding girls!
It's like the model training wheels coming off.
And encourage the girls to stand on their own two feet.
At a Huawei Style Lookbook challenge,
the girls unleash their inner fashionistas.
-I like that. -Some prove less is more.
While others went too over the top
and missed the mark.
And winner is, Team A.
A larger than life photoshoot turned out
to be one of the toughest shoots so far.
Get on your knees, go straight to the camera.
Oh no, don't be flamingo.
I just said stay up, stay up!
Oh my God.
But it was Vy and Mia
who struggled to find their footing.
-Whoa! -What?
That caused them to stumble over at judging.
You lost that spark.
I don't think it's so much Harper's Bazaar,
I think it's a little bit Bitchy Bazaar.
In the end, Dana emerged a giant,
and won Best Photo.
While Vy couldn't stand tall and was sent packing.
5 girls remain.
Who will be Asia's Next Top Model?
Dana!
Oh my God.
You look amazing.
Congrats girl.
Team Thailand, Team Thailand!
Oh yeah.
It feels amazing!
To see my picture up there two times
in the bottom row of frames,
I feel like I'm slowly rising to the top, you know.
I'm like giving Beauty a bit of competition.
She can't dominate every photoshoot.
I'm a slow burner.
Still burning, still going.
I got more!
How do you feel about winning Top Photo?
-Again? -I'd like to thank my mom.
I'm just so in shock, I don't know.
I mean like, I mean a few months ago,
I was going to stop modelling.
You what? You crazy?
A few months ago,
I wasn't sure if I was going to keep modelling.
I wasn't sure if it was 100%,
like, what I'm good at.
So I really doubted for a while what I wanted to do,
what I wanted to be.
And to see my picture up there twice,
I just have such a sense of, like I'm in the right place.
And it just makes me so glad
that I decided to join this competition.
And you did, you pulled it out at like the perfect time.
Like, this bottom row is like, majority your face man.
Dana, Dana, Dana.
Where has this all come from?
I really underestimated her at the start.
So, I need to pick up my game,
and not get too comfortable and to keep on pushing myself.
In a way, I feel kinda guilty for still being here.
Obviously I haven't been doing well,
and I feel like I'm only here
because someone happened to perform worse that day than me.
-And not because I... -You have a photo up here.
I don't have a photo up here. Look at how I'm acting.
-You got to...embrace this. -Okay!
Enough of "I don't deserve to be here,"
"I don't deserve to be here." Cause it really is annoying.
-Yeah! -Really babe.
Someone's gonna be at the bottom.
So this time it's me.
But I'll take this as a motivational slap in the face
and grow from there.
God, one more frame.
One more frame.
Positive visualization.
Love, attraction, come to me! Come to me!
This week is probably going to be one
of the most crazy weeks ever
in this competition because it's gonna be
the last frame on the wall.
So my game plan for this week is just to enjoy it,
live it like it could be my last.
And just go from there.
Hey girls.
-Hi! -Hi girls!
-Yay! -Oh my gosh,
one, two, three, four, five!
Congratulations for making it to Top 5!
Thank you!
We are so proud of you.
And now it's time to do our one last team huddle.
I've been very lucky to have Tu holding
my hand through most of these weeks
of the competition.
So now, time to say goodbye.
But I want to say that I really enjoyed
the time with you guys.
To have to let go of that hand
at such an important time is really scary.
I just want to say thank you so much
for all your help.
You've really made me feel really supported
throughout this competition. And it's really,
I can't imagine doing this without you.
And now we have to do it without you!
Monika is such a big sweetheart.
She's given me such great advice over the competition.
And, she's given me a push. And I feel good.
So now there's no more Team Monika.
Now it's Team Pim and Team Dana.
Please support each other. Be your own mentors, okay?
-I'll do everything I can. -Yes. Crunch time.
-Thank you Shikin. -Good luck.
Now there's no time for mistakes.
Give everything. Everything. Everything you have.
Like 200%. Just push.
I will definitely take all of Tu's advice
from the past seven weeks.
And I will bring it with me through this competition.
-Thank you, Tu. -Bye bye!
-Bye! -See you at the finals!
-See you at the finals. -Hopefully.
Let's go.
Team Monika!
Yes! I'm gonna miss you girls.
Saying goodbye to Monika was bittersweet.
It's almost like, you know,
getting your training wheels taken off
and not having that comfort around.
So, in a way, it's kinda exciting.
Now we're gonna get to show our real potential to the judges.
We've been really lucky with Tu.
It's going to be hard without her.
Cindy Mail!
Did someone say Cindy Mail?
Yeah!
What else is happening?
It's time to be bold,
be fearless and be ready to stand up for yourself.
Because fortune favours the bold. Love, Cindy.
Stand up for yourself?
May because we now have no mentors.
So, we're on our own now.
But the word "bold" is up there twice.
I know it's going to be something big.
Something that's physically challenging.
So, I am excited.
Sounds tiring, so let's get some rest!
Oh la la!
I think fortune favours the well-rested.
-That is also true. -Mmm...
I'm really excited to find out what's in store for us this week,
but also a little bit nervous
because this is such an important week
that I want to make sure that I do well in.
-Oh my God. Oh God. -Okay wait, wait. What?
Wait! Oh! Oh my God! Oh God! Oh my God!
That was crazy.
Hey girls!
Oh my God!
No! We're not going to have to do that, are we?
Oh my God!
I've never seen that before.
It's gonna be some crazy car stuff today.
Hi!
Ladies! Did you like what you just saw?
Yes!
Well, it was definitely exhilarating performing
that for all of you girls,
and it's all thanks to this man right here!
All the way from the UK,
the legendary stunt and precision driver, Russ Swift.
Hi girls!
Hi!
Russ Swift has been bringing out the best
of Subaru cars through his stunt shows all over the region,
demonstrating the safety, stability,
and superior driving experience that Subaru is known for.
And today, ladies,
you are in for a photoshoot that exemplifies
he spirit of Subaru in a shoot called,
"Go for Bold."
Photoshoot? No challenge? Photoshoot?
Today's photoshoot is all about being bold and fearless.
Because, ladies,
you will be posing on the side of this Subaru XV
that will be propped up on two wheels,
just like what you saw in the stunt.
No, the car will not be moving.
But standing up tall and strong on the side of a car
is a balancing act in itself.
And you will be required
to wear safety harnesses for this shoot.
Today is all about showcasing strength and poise.
And I'm expecting you to give me confident,
dynamic poses that mirror the strength
and stability of the Subaru XV.
Alright, ladies, are you ready to "Go for Bold"?
Yes!
Then off you go for hair and makeup!
Hello ladies!
Hi!
Wow, you guys look amazing!
Before we go into your photoshoot,
I wanted to introduce a very special guest.
Your client,
the driving force behind Motor Image Subaru Asia
and Managing Director of Tan Chong International,
he's back again, Mr Glenn Tan!
-Hi girls! -Hi!
I hope you guys are ready for the photoshoot today.
Subaru is all about being bold, living on the edge,
and taking any challenge head-on.
Show me that you deserve to be in this competition.
-Can you do that? -Yes!
Good luck and I look forward to see
how you do in judging.
Thank you!
I feel a lot of pressure
for this photoshoot for two reasons.
One, I was in the bottom last week,
so I have been given another chance.
And I also feel like I did really well
at the last Subaru shoot.
Mia, the client loved you
and felt you delivered the concept very well.
I've established this kind of good baseline with the client,
Glenn Tan, and I do not want to disappoint him.
As they put on my harness,
the nerves start to kick in.
Alright Mia, this is your photographer today
from Calibre Pictures, Joel Lim.
-Hello! -Hello! Nice to meet you.
There's nothing stopping me physically
from excelling in this.
I'm gonna kill this.
Alright, Mia, are you ready?
-Yes. -Your time starts now.
This is your very your own action scene.
Straighten. You gotta straighten up.
-I'm sorry. -You gotta keep...
at least one foot on the car.
I'm finding it very difficult to control
the position of my body.
Ahh! Okay, no.
Oh my goodness,
I need to figure this out. And do it fast.
How about I do one where I twist to the front?
Like that?
-We can try it. -Nice.
Okay. Let's keep doing that!
This photoshoot is the single most important point
for me right now.
This is cool.
The judges, they gave me another chance.
And I have to show them
they did not make a mistake letting me stay.
One, two, three, go!
Yes! Right there! That's all you need,
that's all you need!
Beautiful, keep doing that, yes!
Whoo! You look like you're flying!
Love!
Three, two, one. Whoo!
That's kinda crazy.
I don't wanna sound cocky,
but just based on Cindy's comments,
I feel like I rocked it.
Doing well in this photoshoot is so important
because this is going to determine
who's going to get into the finals.
I know that I want to be there.
So I just know that I have to put aside
any of my worries that I have and perform.
Alright, Adela,
let's go! Your time starts now!
Confidence.
Strength!
I look completely different to how I normally do,
so I almost felt like a superhero
that is ready to defend
with my Batmobile Subaru or something like that.
Uhmm...
Adela, I really want you...
to think about the strength that you wanna give us, okay?
Because right now you're looking very pretty.
-Okay. -Okay?
This has kinda been an ongoing comment
that I have to look powerful but I'm looking too pretty.
-Gangster! -Yes!
-Badass! Come on! -Yes!
I kinda just have to get myself into a mindset that
I am a strong, courageous stuntwoman and that,
you know, I belong on the top of this car.
-This is good! -Okay, that's kinda cool.
Alright, let's go!
You're gonna break through some barriers!
I'm powerful. I'm fearless.
I'm bold. Nothing scares me.
This is good.
I'm really feeling this Adela.
Last 10 frames!
You're running over the rest of the contestants!
-Come on! -Yeah! Yes!
Whoo!
That was fun.
I'm a bit worried because I'm scared of heights.
So it's gonna be a very difficult shoot for me.
But I don't want to show
the other girls that I am so scared.
So I have to make sure that I will do the best.
Alright. She's ready, Joel. She's all yours.
Alright, Beauty.
-Let's do this. -Wait a second. Wait, wait.
What, what, what?
I'm shaking.
Wait. Okay.
Beauty, we gotta start. Your time starts now!
Try not holding on to the string. Okay?
I'm sweating. I'm nervous. I am scared.
I just don't trust the harness.
And my hands are like this.
You're not gonna fall. Try kicking off the car.
Go on. Go on. Go!
-Kick off the car. -Really?
Yeah. Get off. Get your feet off the car.
You gotta trust us.
Beauty was very scared.
If this really was a paid client job,
she would be in a lot of trouble for not trusting the crew.
Beauty, come on, scream!
All those nerves out, get all those nerves out!
-Okay! -Whoo!
-Are you ready? -Yes.
Alright. Let's do this. Come on.
I have to be confident.
I have to show that I deserve to be here.
How much do you want this?
I want to win this.
-Okay, then this is your chance. -Okay.
Come on Beauty, you have to focus.
That's nice.
Yeah.
There we go.
I like that!
Yes.
Let's go for bold!
Ooh I like. I like. Yes!
Last few shots, come on.
Come on, give me everything in your face.
Come on Beauty!
There you go.
Well done.
I've never been in Bottom Two.
It just shows I've pretty much been kind of stable.
So this photoshoot,
I'm gonna show Cindy I wanna be at the top.
You ready? She looks like she's ready.
-Let's go! Your time starts now! -I'm ready!
I feel like a character in a movie.
I have my inner superhero mode going on.
Your hair looks like fire.
Reflect the same fire. Come on.
But, I'm just a little upset that I got a dress,
you know? I can't really be like, "Wah!" with my legs.
Err...
-Your face is a little bit... -Too much?
It's like you're worried about how it's gonna come out.
So you gotta shake it off.
Let's see if we can put it all together.
This car is going so fast, Pim.
-Aahh. -Yeah!
Pim has been a bit weird lately.
Somehow I feel like she didn't take it seriously enough.
As if she was having fun on a day off,
like "Whoo! I'm gonna do this! Hmm! Hmm! Hah! Hoo! Hah!"
Careful, no Thai dancer!
Stuntwoman!
She doesn't look like a stuntwoman or a model.
She looks like a character out of a children's book.
That's cool. Yeah! Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!
At this point, I feel like I've tried everything
and I'm just so happy to be up there.
I feel like I'm on top of the world.
Yea, not too bad.
Two more frames, make it count.
-Yes! Like Spiderwoman. -Yes!
You are speeding towards the finish line, Pim.
This is your last shot!
Ugh! I hope I got it!
I hope so too!
The last Subaru photoshoot,
I was in the Bottom Two.
Dana, your lack of energy
and laidback attitude almost put the judges to sleep.
So doing well in this photoshoot is just crazy important.
I just really wanna, you know,
redeem myself from that performance.
Intensity in your eyes Dana.
No time to be sleeping at the wheel!
Your time starts now, Dana.
Fierce in your eyes. Strong. Confident.
-No. -How is it? No?
Pick it up, pick it up, your energy is like.
Okay. Okay.
It's a lot harder than it looks.
You've gotta keep your balance,
you gotta have a fierce face.
Could I just like, rock back and forth in this position?
-Yes you can. -Okay.
-That's nice. -Nice!
-Nice. Yes! -Let's get angry,
-let's get angry! -Yes!
If I don't get a great shot,
then my time in this competition could be over.
So I'm just giving it my all.
Everything. Every last thing.
Get angry!
Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yes!
-Yeah -Yes!
Keep moving, keep moving!
Keep playing that character, yes!
Nice! Three, two, one!
-Are you crying? -Yeah.
You're like a proud mom.
Dana, she's just become so powerful now.
She really is an amazing model.
I'm just so proud that
she's found that confidence in her.
And that's a wrap everybody!
Yay!
Thank you everyone.
The first few weeks,
people didn't really see me as big competition.
But now, surprise!
We did it.
I think we're gonna give them a tough deliberation.
-I hope so. -Let's see them cut us down.
This is the hardest week in order to call
who did best and who did worse.
We don't have any challenge scores to refer to.
Who do you think did the worst?
Oh my God, Dana!
There's so few of us, I gotta spice it up a bit.
I think Beauty seemed the most nervous.
I don't know how that will translate in pictures,
because you kinda stayed in the same pose.
I'm not saying that's bad, because you gave variation,
but maybe not as many options to pick from.
Okay, let's see.
Adela, she's very competitive.
It annoys me.
I'm not saying it's going to be a bad photo.
It's just like watching the performance,
cause we didn't get to see the monitor, right?
Adela is very fired up at this point.
She has this little sneakiness in her eyes
that I always see during challenges and photoshoot,
so I'm like "I see you Adela".
But from what I saw,
we all put up a good fight for that final frame, so...
-Yeah -Very diplomatic answer of you.
We're walking down the runway of an airport in this really,
like, gangster getup.
I've no idea why we're dressed like this,
but I think we're about to find out.
I've been there through every photoshoot on that wall.
All eight shoots.
I didn't think I would mentally make it this far.
I'm like, really, like, kinda proving myself here, like,
"Girl, you can do this."
Every photoshoot has been like a challenge in some way.
And I've been challenged in ways
that I never thought that I would be.
It's beyond my limits, and I'm here.
This competition really impacted me
because it pushed me to do something
that I wouldn't do if I'm not in this competition.
I'm really proud of the person
that I've become in these past few weeks.
The process might be a little ugly,
but I'm happy with where I am now.
Hello models, welcome!
Hi!
You've already gone for your Subaru.
Go for Bold photoshoot.
And now, as you approach the grand finale,
we have an amazing challenge lined up for you.
So today, it's all about celebrating your strength,
fearlessness, and gearing up for the grand finale
in a very special Subaru fashion film.
Today, you're going to be playing the heroines in your own film,
fearlessly making your way
to the finish line in your Subaru XVs.
This film is a representation
of your entire journey leading up to the finale.
We want to see each of you take the spotlight and shine.
And ultimately show us
why you deserve a spot at the top.
Okay, ladies,
let me introduce you to your special guest today.
Vietnamese is model, actress,
and pop singer sensation, Ho Ngoc Ha.
She has also written the song
that'll be featured in this fashion film.
-Hello girls. -Hi!
It's my pleasure to be here with you today.
And I look forward to seeing
how this fashion film all comes together
with you as the stars.
Ho Ngoc Ha wrote a song for us to feature in this.
So this is crazy, this is next level.
Alright, girls, are you ready...
to be the heroines in your own story?
-Yes! -Well let's roll!
Yea, the jib right here.
So go low. She opens the door.
I am so excited about today's challenge.
The girls are lined up
to do this amazing special Subaru fashion film.
In modelling,
it's not just about static pictures anymore.
Moving images where someone
can convey a story is what we want in a top model.
-Adela. -Hello
-You look amazing. -Thank you.
So here is your task today.
You're gonna come out here. I want you to stand right here,
-pretty powerful pose, okay? -Okay.
Confident, confident, confident.
I love the concept of this fashion film shoot
because it really showcases each of the girls,
their own strengths.
It's everything that I've been screaming,
yelling, and drilling into these girls
in the last eight weeks.
I want to see them take all of that
and apply it to this fashion film.
Alright, standby. Roll camera.
Rolling.
And, action!
Slow yourself down! Slow yourself down.
This is kind of the sign of an end,
that, we're the Top 5,
so I know that I wanna portray the person
I feel like I've become in my time in this competition.
If I know the visual line's there,
I'll be like...
You need that little beat, so I know where you're going.
Action.
Nice.
Nice.
Being in the last stretch of this competition,
I'm looking back at why I'm here.
I wanna do this for my country.
I wanna make the Philippines proud,
but, I'm also doing this for my mom.
She practically raised me on her own
and I just feel like I have so much
to give back to her
because she uprooted her life for me.
Adela those kick's got moves!
I'm loving those kicks!
You don't wanna mess with me, ladies.
I think my mom would be really proud of me.
She's seen how my insecurities have eaten me up before.
And for her to see that I've used those insecurities
to make myself more confident, more beautiful,
I think she'd be really proud of me.
Alright, Dana, I want you to have the jacket on your right hand,
swing it over, and look over, glance over,
and then you're gonna walk off in that direction.
-Okay. -Action!
Milk it, milk it, milk it!
Yeah, I do feel pretty confident
and cool at this point in the competition,
to make it to Top 5.
So I'm just trying to let that feeling,
you know, just try to amp it up even more for the camera.
When you grab...
Because you know that you're going to grab that.
-Okay. -Deep breath.
Then, let's go.
Okay.
-Yes. -Deep inhale.
Beautiful. Love!
At the start of this competition,
I didn't really have much of a game plan.
To be honest, I was just trying to survive.
Don't get lost. Come back to me.
I just needed more out of the face.
To just make it to the next week, you kno,
I had my small goals.
-Wow! -Whoo! Dana!
Winning just seemed like this far off thing.
It's time to wake up.
But now, like, being so close,
it's not just about survival anymore.
I want to be the best here.
Love! Love!
There was a bit of a mean streak in there,
but I kinda like it.
-Thank you. -Let's move on to the next shot.
You are listening music,
so you have to move...
-and feel the beat a little. -Move a little bit.
-Alright? -Alright Pim, are you ready?
If you can hear me, nod your head.
Alright, stay focused, cause we're ready to go.
In this fashion film challenge,
I get to drive the Subaru!
I'm so excited. I think that's so cool.
Action!
You gotta convince us that you're really driving.
Pim, slow down your movements.
Slow down your movements.
And do it naturally.
Don't forget all the modelling tips...
that you learnt. All cycle.
Now you apply them all, please.
Eight weeks in the competition.
Oh my God, it's been such a wild ride.
Whoo!
I've been able to do these amazing photoshoots.
He just want to pose on me.
He likes you Pim.
It's been like an intense model course for me.
Make the movement small.
Milk every single frame.
Oh. Okay.
Something melted on her face.
When I said "milking", I didn't mean drink milk.
I feel like you can throw anything at me now
and I can handle it.
Pim before this competition,
she wasn't so sure of herself.
Compared to the Pim now,
I am so confident that I am a model
with good qualities.
Own it as you walk away.
Okay, that looks great. I think we got it.
Remember, a car's coming toward you.
You're powerful enough to stop that car.
-Okay? -Yes!
I gotta hear you from here. Okay?
Okay!
Action!
Here comes the car.
Drop that leg. Fix your glove.
Okay. Give it a stare off and walk away with attitude.
If you're gonna swing your hair,
you better swing it like you're Beyonce.
Because this was backup singer.
Attitude! Okay, one more time!
Here comes the car.
Remember, your energy is powerful enough to stop that car.
Yes!
Before, I feel so small in this competition.
I feel that I don't have experience.
I feel that I don't have the voice.
Beauty, you gotta work harder.
Every day I cry.
You've got to show them that you can,
you deserve to win.
Break that beautiful face.
But I learned from the judges and from Tu.
More! Do not cry.
Do not cry!
They built my confidence.
And week by week, my confidence is growing.
-Beauty. -Yes!
When I got two Best Performances...
-Yes! -I feel I can do it.
I'm very proud of myself.
Love! That was awesome!
That was awesome, there was attitude!
I love it! I love it, I love it, I love it!
-Alright Mia, are you ready? -Yes.
You get the torch.
Standby.
And action!
Power.
I'm so proud that I'm right here, right now.
Just celebrating how far we've come, really.
You gotta just go "Bam!".
And then, literally feel that weight.
Hold it. And then, boom, boom, boom, boom.
And the shoulder's gotta go with it.
There you go. Alright, I need that badass Mia.
Action!
Love!
This competition has made the biggest impact on my life.
I've had to physically and mentally push myself
to my limit and beyond.
The whole gang ready? Ready to take me down?
Oh God.
She hates me right? Do you see that?
I wish, I really wish,
you were a little bit human.
With these stressful situations,
having to function under all kinds of conditions.
Push me, I don't care if I fall.
-Whoa! -Mia, oh my God.
Calm down.
My whole person has grown here.
I feel like nothing can really faze me anymore.
This was a boot camp,
both physically and mentally.
Yes, yes, pound it, pound it!
Alright! Who rule the world?
-Me! -Yes!
-That was awesome! -Whoo!
Let's do a final group shot now. Let's go!
Standby guys, here we go. Alright.
One, two, three, action!
Here are my action heroes.
Oh! Yes!
Well the girls did amazing today.
Each of them portrayed their heroine roles beautifully.
And I couldn't be more proud of them.
Alrighty, and cut! Thank you!
That was well done!
Boy, it's going to be really hard for us to decide
who will make it to the finale.
It really has been beyond our limits doing this.
I'm just standing there thinking,
"We made it! We made it this far."
If I get through this, I'm in the top of the top.
I beat out almost everyone and,
it would mean the world to me.
I think I've shown that I should be in the finale.
This is my dream, to become Asia's Next Top Model.
I want to win this competition.
I am very happy with my performance this week.
I feel like I was given another chance
to redeem myself
and I have made something out of that chance.
I deserve to be in the final.
Welcome ladies, to your next elimination.
This week, it was all about standing up and being bold.
But before we decide who stays and who goes,
let me first introduce you to your judges.
First up, his brand is synonymous
with Asia's Next Top Model and he is a passionate supporter
of your success as models.
The driving force behind Motor Image Subaru Asia,
and the Managing Director of Tan Chong International,
-Mr. Glenn Tan. -Hi ladies.
Hi.
Next up, we have actress, model, singer,
and superstar entertainer from Vietnam,
the woman who is behind the soundtrack
for your fashion film,
and who was also with you on your film shoot this week,
the very lovely Ho Ngoc Ha.
-Hello ladies. -Hi.
And, of course, the ever fabulous Creative Director
who was also with you on your film shoot this week,
-Yu Tsai. -Models, models, models.
Yu Tsai, Yu Tsai, Yu Tsai.
Alright ladies, to your prizes.
The winner of Asia's Next Top Model
will drive home the all new Subaru XV.
She will have a fashion spread and grace the cover
of Harper's Bazaar Thailand.
She will also become a featured avatar
in the America's Next Top Model new mobile game.
And she will be represented by top model agency,
Storm Model Management,
which has launched the careers of successful models and talent,
including the lights of Lottie Moss
and Fran Summers.
So, ladies,
as Top 5,
you also had a very interesting challenge,
and that was to showcase
what you've learnt so far in a Subaru fashion film.
So, before we take a look at your photos,
why don't we take a look at the Subaru film?
Here it is.
Scandalous!
-Awesome! -I like!
Did you like that ladies?
Yes.
How about you Glenn?
Oh wow, it's very amazing, and the song is great too.
-So I really liked it. Yeah. -Thank you.
Alright, I'm ready. Are you guys?
Yes.
Let's start off with Mia.
The picture looks great.
It looks very bold and making great use of the car
and the situation.
You look like you're really giving us dynamic,
bold, strong, confidence.
However, it's a little Kungfu for me.
It looked like you were actually
on a moving car doing a stunt,
rather than ready to drop a flying kick
-at your opponent. -Okay.
I thought, on the fashion film,
you were quite good.
You were a really good listener,
and I got to see you grow.
And that I will give you props for.
-Thank you judges. -Thank you, Mia.
Next up, let's have Pim.
It's a little bit static for me
and not so much the dynamic,
confident poses I was going for.
It's because all of your other photos were
"Here I come to save the day!"
And I was like, "No, Pim! Model!"
You gotta still stay modelling and editorial.
But I wanna zoom in on that face of yours.
The face has been...
the best so far in this competition.
I really think you look gorgeous.
Your face is showing the right kind
of attitude and all that,
but I'm not so sure about your hands and legs.
I think you are not so sure about it too.
Yeah. It looks like you're taking a rest.
Yeah, it really looks strange, to be honest.
On the fashion video,
you need to pay attention to details.
You have to feel the beat
and then show your emotions. That is really important.
-Thank you Pim! -Thank you.
Beauty.
When we pulled you up,
you were visibly shaking,
and the fear never quite left your face.
And I had to, at one point,
again say, "Scream out loud!"
Which is stuff that we've been doing in the first,
second, and third weeks,
not the final weeks of the competition.
You need to be able to scream and get the fear out
and move on without me having to ask you to do it.
I really like you. You're very beautiful.
You completely owned this shot.
Beauty, you have a very exotic look,
very pretty,
and you should be confident about that.
But you look very scared.
It just looks like you're on a surfboard
and it's the first time you're surfing.
And you're really afraid you're gonna fall down.
I actually loved what Glenn said about the picture he painted.
I like the fact that there's a surfboard
and a wave coming in. It makes me smile.
Instead of not liking it, you made me love it,
Glenn! Because it actually tells me,
oh wow, Beauty can tell a story,
not just that pretty face that we keep talking about
and there's utterly nothing.
I see a different side of you I have never seen before.
-Thank you. -Beauty,
this was also the first week
that none of you had your mentors here.
I really need to know
that you can all make it to your best
without having someone there to hold your hand.
And right now,
I'm not getting that vibe from you, Beauty.
And it's really frustrating for me
because I know how gorgeous you are.
But if you don't have the strength inside,
the inner confidence.
But I think she really showed
that confidence in her fashion video.
When she walked across that camera and gave me
that head roll and the flip, in slow motion...
You were cool as beep.
As Ha would say, "Take me home girl!"
Yeah! Take me home.
Give me a head roll as you walk away.
-Yeah. -Yeah girl!
Oh, and then she goes like this.
It's like flick, he, he, he, he.
Oh! Beauty!
I wanna go shake you!
Adela!
Adela, our sweet, dear, demure girl.
And let me just show everyone what you were doing
when we hoisted you up on the harness.
"Look at me!"
"I am positioning myself on the bonnet!"
No! No, you were not driving to a picnic,
you had to be fierce.
It took a while to get you to shake
all those graceful fingers off,
and produce this shot.
Which for me, I like.
I like it too. You're like a cat woman,
like, in an action movie scene.
I really like it.
But you need to show more of your personality.
-Okay. -And,
you know, don't be girly anymore.
Because look at that,
you can become a really strong woman.
Well, let's talk about your fashion film.
You were over-acting.
-Okay. -You're such a good student,
so when we tell you to close the door,
touch your glasses, and then walk away.
You followed those directions perfectly.
You didn't give us the in between,
those moments.
That's what tells the story.
It's not from point A to point B.
It's the journey in between.
At this point in the competition,
Adela, I need to see the essence of who you are.
I hope it's not too late.
I hope not either.
-Thank you, Adela. -Thank you.
Dana.
Of all the girls,
you were the most poised.
And you were not flustered.
You really got into the mood of what we were trying to do.
The only issue that I had with you,
Dana, though, was...
What do you think?
Face.
I kept saying make sure you give me fierce,
bold, confident stuntwoman,
not someone who's falling asleep at the wheel.
Cause you were giving like "Hah! Yeah!"
But your face was just completely blank.
And it's just, argh!
It's so frustrating,
because it comes back to the same thing with you.
I think Dana you've improved a lot since
-the last I was here and... -Thank you.
I really like this picture, but this is a competition.
There's only five girls left,
so it's really the best of the best.
You have to want to win this,
want to be Asia's Next Top Model.
That will show in your eyes.
But I think she did that in the video.
-Yeah. Yeah, yeah. -When she took the jacket
-and swung it right behind her... -Yeah, in the video,
that's the kind of eyes.
If you're doing this kind of race type photoshoot,
that's the kind of eyes you need.
-Okay. -I don't like this picture.
I love this picture!
This is giving me throwback,
Kill Bill, one, two, and three.
And I love the fact that your emotion is not flat,
just confidence, it's "Bring anything,"
"I'll get you!"
"I'm gonna challenge you, come to me."
You're ready to punch the world that's in front of you.
I love it. I do! I love it.
-Thank you, Dana. -Thank you.
Okay ladies,
it is now time to tabulate your photoshoot scores,
and when you return, I will be announcing who is still
in the running towards becoming Asia's Next Top Model.
But,
as the finale is fastly approaching,
it is time that we make our decision
on who will be our Top 3.
That is why, today,
not one,
but two of you will be leaving the competition.
No matter what the result is,
I want you all to know that I am so,
so proud of each and every single one of you.
And that you should all be very,
very proud of yourselves for making it this far.
Five beautiful ladies stand before me,
but I only have three photos in my hands.
The first name I call will be the girl
who has had the Best Performance of the week
and who has earned herself a Subaru brand ambassadorship.
Mia.
Mia, you started out strong but struggled ever since.
But way to turn it around when it mattered the most girl.
Congratulations Mia.
You've won yourself Best Performance of the week.
You've won yourself a Subaru brand ambassadorship.
And you've earned a spot in the Top 3
of Asia's Next Top Model.
Thank you. Thank you.
I believe our client Glenn has a few words?
Well Mia, remember what you did for the video?
That's the one that made me decide
you should be our ambassador.
Always remember to have that vibe,
and that's gonna take you to the top.
Thank you so much. Thank you.
Dana.
Dana. Week after week,
you've proven to us that you belong here.
You've brought your A-game every time
and managed to stay cool and collected.
You truly deserve a spot
in the Top 3 of Asia's Next Top Model, Dana.
Thank you.
Will Pim, Beauty, and Adela please step forward?
Sorry, I'm sweating.
Three beautiful girls stand before me.
But I only have one photo in my hands.
And this photo represents the girl
who's in the Top 3 of Asia's Next Top Model.
Pim, you're here because, throughout the weeks,
you've never managed to get up on top.
And although I know you are a fighter,
I'm not sure if this is your battle to win.
Beauty, time and time again
we've had to hold your hand in order
to get the best performance out of you,
and I'm not sure you're ready to do that on your own.
And Adela, despite your beautiful face
and your professionalism, which is second to none,
we've been wanting the essence
of who you truly are and spontaneity.
I'm not sure that you've shown that to us in time.
So who stays and who goes?
It's time to find out, ladies.
Adela, you've been one
of the most consistent girls this season,
and it's finally paid off.
Congratulations for making it to Top 3.
Thank you so much.
Pim,
you've never given up this entire competition,
so take everything you've learnt here
and keep breaking that wall girl.
Beauty,
you have everything it takes to become the top model
that I know you already are.
Thank you for sharing this amazing journey with us.
-Thank you. -Give me a hug.
Take care.
Thank you. Thank you.
I honestly kinda knew that I was gonna go.
I didn't make Best Performance at all,
but I honestly learnt so much from this experience.
I'm really disappointed because I want to be...
on Top 3.
I met the most amazing girls and I had the most amazing,
fun journey.
I've learned, as a model,
that I need to break down my walls.
When I do a photoshoot or when I work,
I have to listen and open up my mind.
I'm very proud of my journey.
As a model, I grew a lot.
Even though I don't have experience,
week by week I gained confidence,
and I believed in myself.
The new Pim, a lot happier,
a lot more confident in herself, and I'm all about girl power now.
After this competition, I want to break my fear.
I don't want to be scared anymore.
And I want to be a top model around the world.
Beauty, you're doing good!
I'm proud of myself.
Next time on Asia's Next Top Model.
Only one of us is going to be the winner.
Relive the emotions.
-The drama. -Don't twist my words!
-And the triumphs. -Go! Go!
As we look back on
the unforgettable journey of the Top 3.
-I survived! I'm still here! -Love!
I've really come to find how strong I am.
Beautiful!
I've put my whole self into this competition.
It's a special recap episode
in the competition to be Asia's Next Top Model.

Is This Everyday Substance More Addictive Than Cocaine? - Duration: 4:02.
Hey there and welcome to Life Noggin.
Oh?
Everything is candy!
Sweet!
I don't know about you, but I really love sugar.
Anything sweet really.
And kind.
And smart.
And super tough... and oh geez, I'm doing it again!
Uh, back on topic, Blocko.
So yeah, sugar, it's pretty awesome, right!
Some people even say they're addicted to the stuff.
but is it actually possible to get /addicted/ to sugar like you can with certain drugs?
Well, first off, if we're going to try and compare the two, just what is a drug addiction?
According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, addiction is a chronic brain disease
characterized by a person's compulsion to seek out and use drugs, despite there being
harmful consequences.
Drugs can alter your brain — both in how it works and its actual structure — and
those changes can be long-lasting, leading to harmful behaviors.
Sometimes even self-destructive ones.
So can the same type of thing happen with sugar?
Unfortunately, people can't really seem to agree one way or the other.
Now, there are certainly supporters that back the idea of sugar addiction.
A good example is an article put out just last year in the British Journal of Sports
Medicine.
After looking at a bunch of data, both with animals and humans, researchers said that
there are substantial parallels between sugar and drugs of abuse, from both a behavioral
standpoint and one of brain neurochemistry.
They even brought up how certain animal studies have shown that the reward for sugar can surpass
that of cocaine!
So it's a pretty good case for sugar addiction being real.
But a recent 2016 study argues the opposite.
The researchers started off by looking at the literature on sugar and food addictions.
Then they examined if sugar could be addictive by pitting any evidence from the animal and
human neuroscience literature on drug and sugar addiction against each other.
In the end, they found little evidence to support that humans could be addicted to sugar.
They also said that findings from animal cases suggest that their addiction-like behaviors
happened only when they had intermittent access to sugar, believing those behaviors to come
from the intermittent access, not the actual neurochemical effects of sugar.
Though, on another note, one thing that potentially points to sugar cravings as being similar
to addiction is that drugs designed to help people quit smoking might also help you curb
a bit of your sweet tooth.
Looking at a study using rats, research suggests that varenicline, an FDA-approved drug used
to help people with nicotine cravings, could also be used to reduce your desire to eat
sugary foods.
In the study, rats were given the choice to either drink from a bottle containing only
water, or one that had been sweetened with sucrose.
While our little furry friends used varenicline, researchers found that the rats consumed significantly
less sucrose.
Interesting!
But this all means that we don't really have a clear answer on whether or not you
can actually be addicted to sugar.
But either way, sugar can have an affect on your life and sometimes people want to cut
it out.
Specifically added sugars, which are are sugars and syrups that are added to what you eat
or drink when it's prepared or processed.
So that just means getting rid of things like candies and soda, right?!
Apparently not.
Added sugar is in a bunch of "healthier" options too.
You can find decent amounts of added sugar in everything from granola bars and yogurt,
to canned fruits and even spaghetti sauce!
Wow, there's so many sugary things up there!
If you want to get any sweet foods down here in the Life Noggin world, you have to visit
one of those websites that remembers some of your data.
Uh?
Of course I'll enable cookies!
Bring em here!
Gimmie!
Give me the cookies!
Gimmie!
So do you think you're addicted to sugar?
What's your favorite sugary treat to eat?
Let me know in the comment section below.
Wanna learn more about a rare syndrome that essentially turns you to stone?
Check out this video!
Imagine one day you find a huge lump on your rib cage, and even after getting it x-rayed,
you still don't know what's going on.
As always, my name is Blocko, this has been Life Noggin, don't forget to Keep On Thinking!

My Best 3 Gardening / Homesteading Books - Duration: 12:23.
Winters fast approaching and a lot of gardeners find themselves at home itching
to get back into the garden but we can be utilizing this time a little bit
better we can all be learning from books and things like that now in today's
episode we are going to be taking a look at three of my go-to books these are
books that I really enjoy there's a lot of really good information in it and I
suggest you have a little look at them because they really are worth looking at
and that's all coming up after this I'm Tony O'Neill and this is UK Here We Grow
on this channel we deal with all things gardening poultry keeping and beekeeping
if it's the first time you consider clicking subscribe button Bell icon to
be notified each time we put up new content just like this. Today I'd like to
talk to you about three books that I really do spend a lot of time flicking
through and they are really really good books now the reason I'm doing this was
I was approached by Liz Zorab from byther farm and Liz came up with the idea
of bringing a few channels together in maybe a collaboration video where each
of us talks about three of our books that we really like in a bid to help you
guys get exposure to the books that maybe we find fascinating and
informative so it would give you an idea of something that maybe you'll want to
buy and then use throughout winter all the links for all of the channels that are
involved in this collaboration will be down in the description below and I urge
you all to go and check out what books they're using as well because if there's
enough channels here with three books each you're gonna be having twenty and
thirty books that you're gonna be able to choose from I've also put all the
links in the description below for all the books I'm about to talk to you about
so without any further ado I have three books here which I
a really beneficial especially if you new starting out and even if you're
experienced because there's always times that we get stumped by something but my
first one is this book here it's called the veg patch it's a step by step the
veg patch and it's written by Lucy Halsall and Lucy Halsall's a
fantastic writer she just happens to be the editor of Grow Your Own Magazine as
well so and this book is also part of the Royal Horticultural society's library so
it really is a great book now when you're looking through this book it's
really well laid out guys there's sections in here and because of the way
it's broken down it gets it gets you thinking about how the whole process of
garden works what you need to do in the start me you know in the middle and the
end a little bit like a story so the very first section in your is why grow
your own food and it talks about this and talks about the space to grow about
growing crops in small spaces and things like that and it really is really well
laid out the illustrations the photographs and everything is a superb
book talks about tools and equipment choosing the right spot for whatever
crops you're growing growing in raised beds what materials to use for your
raised beds things like this so it really does get down to the nitty gritty
it's one of those books that if you are a complete novice you could pick up and
read and then in spring go out and apply the principles that you've learnt
and be able to get some fantastic crops at the end of the summer so it really is
that good and then later on it goes through speaking about specific plants
so it goes into chillies and rather than just saying or to grow to lose you need
you know sort of 20 to 25 degrees blah-blah-blah-blah-blah it doesn't do
that it's a step by step so rather than focusing on specifics what it does is it
says right okay here's how we germinate it, here's how we sow it, here's how we plant
it and it is step by step by step by step right the way through to harvest that
is fantastic it's golden for anybody who doesn't have that sort of information so
this is a really good book guys like I said pretty much any veg that you could
think about growing kohlrabi parsnips garlic's a lot spinach cut and come again
lettuce and then even talked about the perennial things like Jerusalem
artichokes and and what-have-you it's even got a really good vegetable
planner in there as well so it's a fantastic resource and this
book is available on Amazon like I said I'll put the link below the second book
that I use a lot is this one is another RHS book and it's written by Pippa
Greenwood and Andrew Halstead now pipper Greenwood is a fantastic lady and very very
knowledgeable again and this one is all about pests and disease and all too
often throughout the year we find that our leaves are yellowing or they're
getting blotchy or all of a sudden the plant is dying and we don't understand
why or all of a sudden just starts looking sick and as an experienced
gardener though even sometimes we can get there and we can still be tripped up
by something by thinking it's one thing and then it's another well again this
book here it's all set out in illustrations with photographs showing
you of what the leaf looks like so you can flick through and
literally match your leaves and find what the issues are I mean look how
fantastic those illustrations are they are really really good and it absolutely
covers everything all about soil and nutrients about fungal infection
there types of garden pests like slugs snails and thrips and things like that
it talks about the invertebrate lifecycle so how you can break that
cycle and that's a big one folks if you can break a cycle then you
interrupt that laying pattern and a pretty much a eradicates that pest
from your garden you imagine if you had a slug issue and you were able to break
dust-like cycle twice over the next couple of years
it would make such a massive dent in the slug population that you wouldn't have
to worry about it again and that's the sort of information you get out of this
book it shows you all about controlling things in enclosed spaces like in
greenhouses and stuff it is a fantastic resource and I find myself in here a lot
and then so we've gone through like our for the book and then right at the other
half the back end of the book there's an A to Z of pests and disease
species so if you know you've got parsnips or whatever the case being
here we go we've turned to this page here and we've got broad bean and pea rest so it
tells you there's a description of what to look for for it so you know if you've
got broad beans go to the broad bean section well that's what I've got and it
helps you in order and this book is a little bit back-to-front in one way
because the A to Z is at the back and then you have to go to the front to look
at the pictures but it works so well it is fantastic and it is my go-to book for
any pest and disease because it allows me to find the nitty-gritty of what I
need and deal with that problem and the information I give to you guys in my
videos a lot of it will come from books like this that I've learned over the
years or by trial and error or experience that I picked up from
speaking to other gardeners and I really urge you guys to get out and buy books
like this again it's another RHS book it's fantastic and it's on Amazon and
the link is below for you guys this is a BBC book and it's
written by Carol Klein no this one is a fantastic book because it's all about
propagation and a little while ago I put a link up here we did a video on seed
saving and we also did a video the last video in fact on making a comfrey pipe
which was organic feed plant food those sorts of plants can be divided now I
showed you how to cut the root divisions on on that well this book is full of
information like that and Carol Klein she is just a master at dividing and
propagating all sorts of plants she she will tell you whether to use root
cuttings leaf cuttings whether to layer something it is fantastic and again it
is beautifully presented I mean have a look at that guy's is absolutely
beautifully presented and it's very basic in the format that is written and
it's written for the layman there's no major long terms in it is written well
what we need to do with this is we need to lift this plant we need to cut this
root make sure you put it in the right way cut it just below any leaf node and
all of this sort of things and I mean even as basic as vertical cuttings I
mean look at these illustrations are fantastic they really are good guys and
for those of you seen gardeners world you'll have seen Carol Klein's who's
that loads of it on series and fantastic lady and very knowledgeable especially
about propagation and and
the great thing about it is like I said these books are really down to earth and
they are written for people like you and me and that's a fantastic thing about it
so that's another one is called Carol Klein's grow your own garden how to
propagate all of your plants now like I said guys all the links for all three
these are mine for this collaboration video that is within a group of channels
and I urge you all to visit the playlist for this because I will add a playlist
to my channel with all of the videos in as well so you'll be able to see those
videos and you will get to see what other channels are doing in the way of
books what they are viewing what they're reading through the winter how they are
sorting out their problems and if you're new to the game these are not expensive
guys I think the most expensive one is about twenty something pounds
the others are ten or eleven pounds they are not expensive books but the information
in them is worth hundreds of pounds so I really urge you to get and have a look at
those anyway guys I hope this video was of interest to you if it was don't
forget to give us a thumbs up and like this video sharing it with your friends
because I'm sure they'd be interested to know what books gardeners like myself
are using and the others within the collaboration video and I hope you find
value with the books as well that's really much it from me in this episode
I'm Tony O'Neal this is UK Here We Grow and remember folks you Reap What You Sow. I
will see you in the next one bye bye
