They were not just sisters. I mean, they were my ministering angels.
There was a time when my marriage was very difficult.
I faced the real possibility of becoming
a single mother, so it was a really difficult time in my life. I needed help.
I needed support. And for that reason, I decided to let my ministering sisters in
on what was going on in my life at that time.
And that was really hard for me to do. I didn't know them very well at the time.
They were great at, you know, just texting and seeing how I was doing, but they were
still new to me. When I told them about what was happening to me,
that very same day, one of my ministering sisters came over and she just sat with
me and we just talked. She let me talk. She let me explain everything that was
going on. She said, "Let's go get something to eat." She knew the way to my heart. And
so we went out and and she bought me dinner me and my boys and it
was so touching and that continued on. I teach Zumba once a week and I would never have
to even ask for a babysitter. They were there offering, "You want to go to the
temple? I'll watch your kids." "I can take your son to school today." Whatever it was,
they were just there for me. They really took care of me. They helped me be happy
in what was probably the hardest time of my life. And now I consider them some
of my best friends because they helped me. I hope that I can help
someone out; that I can be that person for someone else when they're going
through something. In the end, my story turned out great. It was
miracle after miracle. I saw so many blessings in my life and the Lord just,
He helped me so much through it all. But I know that He sent these women to me to
my life at this time. I know that this was inspired by the Lord. This is
the Lord's way and He's guiding us and He's showing us how to do that.
