Let's start in typhoon-hit Saipan.

Efforts are underway to bring home the roughly 18-hundred South Korean tourists stranded

on the Western Pacific island since the mega storm hit on Wednesday.

The South Korean government says it dispatched a military transport plane to Saipan on Saturday

morning to help its nationals who haven't been able to get home since Typhoon Yutu swept

the island this week.

As the plane can only carry around 110 people at a time to Guam, where South Korea's flagship

airlines operate direct flight services,… the government plans to provide additional

transport measures depending on the situation on the ground.

The government is also sending a rapid response team for the supply of emergency aid materials

and other necessary operations for South Koreans on the island.

Man arrested in Florida over letter bombs to leading Democrats, CNN - Duration: 0:50.

A man has been charged in Florida with federal crimes in connection to sending at least 14

letter bombs to leading Democrats and others critical of U.S. President Donald Trump.

Fifty-six-year-old Cesar (sen-nick) Sayoc faces up to 48 years in prison, if found guilty.

The charges against him include mailing explosives and threatening ex-presidents.

Items have been sent in recent days to figures including ex-President Barack Obama, Congresswoman

Maxine Waters and actor Robert de Niro.

In a news conference Friday,... FBI Director Christopher Wray said (sen-nick) Sayoc was

detained after his fingerprint was discovered on one of the packages.

Following news of the arrest, President Trump said the acts were "despicable and have no

place in our country".

Two Koreas agree to remove 11 guard posts in the DMZ - Duration: 2:27.

Another round of inter-Korean general-level military talks were held on Friday.

The two sides saw eye to eye on a set of measures that are in line with the comprehensive military

agreements signed last month.

This includes withdrawing guard posts in the DMZ and steps to carry out joint inspections

of the Hangang River estuary.

Kan Hyeong-woo reports.

In their talks Friday afternoon, the generals from Seoul and Pyeongyang agreed to move forward

on a number of issues in the comprehensive inter-Korean military agreement signed last

month.

"We talked in depth about how we can cooperate on various issues to implement the military

agreements smoothly.

So I want to say we had a very meaningful and productive meeting today."

The two Koreas agreed to withdraw 11 guard posts from each side before the end of November...

and to carry out joint inspections in December to ensure that all related personnel and facilities

have been removed.

And based on how that goes, they'll have further discussions on removing yet more guard posts.

Seoul and Pyeongyang will also form an inspection committee together to create a zone in the

Hangang River estuary... that can be used by both sides.

Ten people each from South and North, including military officials and maritime experts, will

inspect the area in early November.

And in the Demilitarized Zone, they confirmed that work to remove landmines and build roads

are going according to schedule.

That will enable them to excavate the bodies of soldiers who died in the Korean War.

The military officials added that they will have further talks on setting up a joint military

committee to oversee the agreements' implementation.

The talks were attended by delegations of five members from each side -- the South Koreans

led by Major General Kim Do-gyun and the North Koreans by Lieutenant General Ahn Ik-san .

"I don't think we've ever seen military officials from the two Koreas discuss the matters at

hand so broadly and agree with each other so quickly."

Taking place at the Tongil-gak building on the North Korean side of Panmunjeom, the meeting

lasted a little under six hours.

"The two Koreas once again reaffirmed their plans to cease military exercises aimed at

each other along the Military Demarcation Line starting November 1st.

Wall Street slides again on Friday as tech, internet stocks tumble - Duration: 0:59.

The market rout continued on Wall Street on Friday.

All three of the major indices dropped after underwhelming quarterly financial results

from major internet companies -- like Amazon and Google-parent company Alphabet -- spooked

markets.

The S&P 500 plunged one-and-three-quarter percent to 2,658... sending it into corrective

territory.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped one-point-two percent to 24,688.

The Nasdaq was hit the worst,... slumping more than two percent to close the week at

7,167.

Also on Friday, South Korean stocks plunged again to a 21-month low.

The benchmark KOSPI dropped 36 points, or one-point-seven-five percent, to close at

2,027.

The KOSDAQ continues to get slammed,.. plunging almost three-and-a-half percent to 663.
