Waching daily Oct 7 2018

Around 160 South Koreans are back from a trip to the North... where they celebrated the

11th anniversary of the October 4th Joint Declaration signed in 2007.

It was the first time the two sides have commemorated the document together.

Our Park Hee-jun has the highlights of their three-day trip.

The South Korean delegates' trip was to commemorate the 11th anniversary of the October 4th Joint

Declaration, signed by the late former leaders of the two Koreas -- Roh Moo-hyun and Kim

Jong-il -- during their summit in 2007.

Celebrating the anniversary together for the first time... was something agreed upon in

the Pyeongyang Joint Declaration signed last month by President Moon Jae-in and Chairman

Kim Jong-un.

The joint event was held Friday morning at the People's Culture Palace.

In a joint letter,... the two sides called for further efforts to carry out the agreements

signed by Moon and Kim,... and to work together to establish peace and denuclearization on

the Korean Peninsula.

"For the two Koreas to survive,... we must implement the Panmunjeom Declaration and the

Pyeongyang Declaration.

I say this to emphasize the importance of achieving the agreements in the declarations."

Meetings were also held on the sidelines, between government officials, politicians,

civic, cultural, and religious figures,... to allow exchanges in each of their respective

fields.

Those included a high-level meeting led by Seoul's Unification Minister Cho Myoung-gyon

and his North Korean counterpart Ri Son-gwon,... in which the two Koreas discussed ways to

implement the Pyeongyang Declaration,... which calls for boosting inter-Korean cooperation

in areas such as railroads and forestry.

And on the last day of their trip,... they stopped by the botanical gardens, where there's

a pine tree planted by Roh Moo-hyun and the North Korea's ceremonial leader Kim Yong-nam

back in 2007.

Roh's son, Roh Geon-ho, was also there.

"Trust will be built as we continue to fulfill our promises.

I thank the North Koreans for having taken such good care of this pine tree for all these

years."

After wrapping up their three-day trip to the North,... the South Korean delegation

returned to Seoul on Saturday evening.

Through August, Korea shed most jobs for 30s and 40s since financial crisis - Duration: 0:38.

The South Korean government has been working to boost job creation, but the latest employment

figures look grim.

According to Statistics Korea, in the first eight months of this year, the number of people

in their 30s and 40s who had jobs... fell by the most since the financial crisis in

2009.

There were around ten million people in that age group with jobs, down by 150-thousand

compared to the same period last year.

The previous record, in 2009, was a loss of 240-thousand jobs.

Meanwhile, the number of senior citizens -- those 60 or older -- who are working... has been

rising since 2004.

Secretary Pompeo to brief Pres. Moon and FM Kang on Pyeongyang visit - Duration: 2:33.

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has wrapped up his fourth visit to North Korea... and

is now in Seoul, where he'll brief South Korean President Moon Jae-in and foreign minister

Kang Kyung-wha.

For more, we go to Lee Ji-won following this story at the foreign ministry in Seoul.

Ji-won, what do you have for us?

Devin, we heard that Secretary Pompeo landed at the U.S. air base in Osan, South Korea

at 5:13 p.m., local time.

We are told that he has two schedules here.

The first is to meet with South Korean President Moon Jae-in at 7 in the evening.

He'll brief the President on what was discussed and hopefully agreed on in his talks with

the North Korean leader earlier in the day.

Secretary Pompeo is then due to hold a working dinner with Seoul's foreign minister Kang

Kyung-wha.

These events will be held behind closed doors, so I'm not sure how much detail we'll be able

to get on it.

After staying overnight, Secretary Pompeo is then expected to leave for China on Monday.

Ji-won, this is Pompeo's fourth visit to Pyeongyang, and this time he did meet with Kim Jong-un.

And Pompeo tweeted less than an hour ago that he had a "good trip" to the North and posted

a photo with Kim.

Can you tell us what they might've talked about?

Devin, Pompeo told reporters en route to Japan a couple days ago, that the mission was to

make sure both sides understand what the other is truly trying to achieve and that both need

to develop sufficient trust to take concrete actions.

And amid renewed hopes since the latest inter-Korean summit, many were hoping that the two sides

would really give something to each other in these talks.

That could include the U.S. declaring an end to the Korean war, which the North has continuously

asked for.

And the North had promised that with "corresponding measures" from the U.S., that it would take

additional measures such as dismantling its key nuclear facility.

The two sides are also expected to have covered preparations for the second North Korea-U.S.

summit.

But Secretary Pompeo doubted that a decision would be made today, saying that they will

begin to develop options for both location and timing.

And Devin, this was the first time that U.S. Special Representative for North Korea Stephen

Biegun has gone to Pyeongyang and met with the regime's leader.

So, with Biegun accompanying Pompeo, hopefully the two negotiators were able to make some

progress in their talks.

That's all from me at this hour Devin.

afternoon local time.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake's epicenter was about 19 kilometers

northwest of the coastal town of Port-de-Paix.

A Haitian government spokesperson told AFP that at least 11 people died, at least some

of them in buildings that collapsed.

The police chief for the coastal town said more than 100 were injured.

The tremor was reportedly felt in the neighboring Dominican Republic.

The quake was one of the strongest in Haiti since 2010 when a magnitude 7 left about 300-thousand

Aripi picante cu sos de branza cu mucegai - Duration: 4:29.

Hey guys, welcome to Spice Up!

A year ago I've posted my first video, buffalo wings with blue cheese dip.

I'm not proud of that video, but the recipe is great.

I was thinking what to do after a year of posting recipes weekley.

I will do that recipe again, but this time I will make them spicier

but I will fry them this time.

The blue cheese dip will be different, when you do the same recipe you will tend to improve it.

I will leave a link in the description and top right for my first wings video,

to see how to cut the wings and how and why to brine them.

You will see the links up there and in the description.

It's the same process.

I have 10 wings which I've cut before filming,

about 700 grams,

a teaspoon of salt,

two teaspoons of garlic powder,

a teaspoon of black pepper

and a teaspoon and a half of cayenne pepper.

Leave them for a few minutes while doing the blue cheese dip.

For the blue cheese dip you need: 150 grams of greek yogurt (10% fat),

a tablespoon of mayo,

50-60 grams of blue cheese,

black pepper and salt.

Place the blue cheese dip in the fridge until you're ready to serve the wings.

For the hot sauce I will use: 20-30 grams of butter,

150 grams of chili pepper sauce

and ketchup to make the hot sauce stick to the wings.

This recipe should look like this.

Try them, they're super hot.

I think they're the best.

I suppose you don't want to see me eat all of them.

If you liked the recipe press the thumbs up button,

subscribe and turn on notifications to see the future videos.

SWEDEN | Learning Swedish Alphabets - Duration: 4:54.

Come back with me Suci, and here I am with..

Hi I am Ara, come back again in Suci's video

We make this video to celebrate something

That we have been here in Sweden for 1 year

and actually we remember this because of Facebook

Here you can see that Facebook made a video to remind us

That we are becoming a friend for one year already

Thus we have 'Aradika and Suci Day'

And we have also made one video about how to apply for LPDP scholarship, one year ago

at that time, Suci was the one who came to Helsingborg

and this time, I am the one who come from Helsingborg to Halmstad

Now, we want to make several videos that will talk about

How far is our ability to speak Swedish

First of all, it will start with this video on how to pronounce Swedish Alphabets

So, in Indonesia we have 26 alphabets in our language

while in Sweden, Swedish has 26 + 3 alphabets

So in total, Swedish has 29 alphabets

We will try to pronounce all the swedish alphabets, one by one

Wish us luck okay

Ready??? Ready!

So, this alphabet is quite distinct on the pronounciation

Let's say we mention H&M in English,

in Indonesian we say H&M,

in Swedish its H&M.

And the last three letters are what makes Swedish is different

Those are three vocals: ÄÅÖ

For the example if you have been to one of the Swedish famous furniture store in Southern part of Jakarta

You can find it over there in the wall it was written: Hej Då

The way to pronounce them is: Hej Då

and the meaning is: Bye bye

So, Swedish language is difficult

This video is all about alphabets, but stay tune to our channel to watch more videos about Swedish language

Perhaps the next one would be some small conversation in Swedish

Now we will fastly pronounce the Swedish letters all over again

See you on the next video.
