on the southeastern coast as it passed over on Friday and Saturday.

According to the government of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province on Sunday, one senior citizen died

and another went missing as they tried to flee from rising flood waters.

Another similar death was reported in Gyeonggi-do Province.

The flooding left at least 470 people homeless, most of them in Gyeongsangbuk-do.

There, roughly fourteen-hundred homes and six-point-six million square meters of farmlands

were flooded.

[Idol Interview] Meet Soo-yong, trainee at Starilght, Ent. - Duration: 2:05.

Hi, I'm Hyun Soo-yong

I'm from Mongolia

I want to share my music with others in the world

I returned to Korea in 11 years for music

I uploaded my music clips through YouTube

and I got a call from Korea

I didn't believe it at first

but Korea is one of the hottest music market in the world

and I heard they had good system

I wanted to give it a challenge

All of this is a surprise to me

My YouTube clip receives reaction from the opposite site of the world

That's why I came to Korea

At first, I felt like Gulliver from the book

but Seoul wasn't too different

The air in Ulaanbaatar isn't that good, too

One thing different was that Koreans never sleep

and a lot of delicious food

There were dozens of side dishes in the restaurant

and fried chicken is really delicious!

My dream as a musician?

I used to live in Dolgoji

I used to watch TV and dance together with my sister

That's when I wanted to become a singer

Music shows the characteristics and tastes of the writer and singer

and there's also the taste of people listening to that music

So the sharing the tastes of the two

The characteristics of the listeners are all different

So I don't think there's any bad music

I think all music has its own unique characteristic

I want my music to be loved worldwide

For example, my song might be heard by a person in the subway

or may be turned on in a countryside

I think it will make me feel good

That's my dream, along with busking freely

Hello? I'm Hyun Soo-yong

I'm doing best to make music for you

so I hope you take interest and look forward to my music

Secretary Pompeo in Pyeongyang looking for progress on denuclearization - Duration: 2:10.

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is expected to have arrived in North Korea by now to meet

with the regime's leader Kim Jong-un.

He's on the second leg of his Asia tour and will be looking to make progress on denulcearization.

For more, we connect to our Lee Ji-won at Seoul's foreign affairs ministry.

Ji-won , what's the latest?

Devin, early this morning, Secretary Pompeo tweeted that he was leaving for North Korea

to meet with its leader Kim Jong-un, but we haven't heard any more from them yet.

The agenda, of course,... the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, as well as preparations

for the second North Korea-U.S. summit, the details of which Pompeo said might not be

revealed immediately afterwards.

The denuclearization talks have stalled for a while, but there have been renewed hopes

since the latest inter-Korean summit in which the North made some concrete promises, such

as to dismante its key nuclear facility, SHOULD Washington take corresponding measures.

And there have been reports that the U.S. has started to understand North Korea's view

that a declaration to end the Korean War is simply a political declaration... that would

not require the U.S. to withdraw its troops in the South.

So with these developments, hopefully we can see some concrete agreements during Pompeo's

fourth trip there.

Ji-won, this is Pompeo's second stop, his first being Tokyo.

Tell us what came out of his visit to Japan.

Sure Devin, he met on Saturday with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and foreign minister

Taro Kono to discuss the North's nuclear issues and reaffirm their alliance.

Secretary Pompeo and Prime Minister Abe are expected to have exchanged views not just

on Pyeongyang's nuclear weapons but also on its chemical and biological weapons program

as well.

Secretary Pompeo also said that in his talks with the North he will bring up the issue

of the Japanese abductees.

And right after his talks in Pyeongyang, Secretary Pompeo is due to arrive in Seoul sometime

this afternoon to brief South Korean President Moon Jae-in and foreign minister Kang Kyung-wha

on his talks with Kim Jong-un.

Back to you Devin.

S. Korean delegates return home after three-day trip to Pyeongyang - Duration: 2:05.

Around 160 South Koreans are back from a trip to the North... where they celebrated the

11th anniversary of the October 4th Joint Declaration signed in 2007.

It was the first time the two sides have commemorated the document together.

Our Park Hee-jun has the highlights of their three-day trip.

The South Korean delegates' trip was to commemorate the 11th anniversary of the October 4th Joint

Declaration, signed by the late former leaders of the two Koreas -- Roh Moo-hyun and Kim

Jong-il -- during their summit in 2007.

Celebrating the anniversary together for the first time... was something agreed upon in

the Pyeongyang Joint Declaration signed last month by President Moon Jae-in and Chairman

Kim Jong-un.

The joint event was held Friday morning at the People's Culture Palace.

In a joint letter,... the two sides called for further efforts to carry out the agreements

signed by Moon and Kim,... and to work together to establish peace and denuclearization on

the Korean Peninsula.

"For the two Koreas to survive,... we must implement the Panmunjeom Declaration and the

Pyeongyang Declaration.

I say this to emphasize the importance of achieving the agreements in the declarations."

Meetings were also held on the sidelines, between government officials, politicians,

civic, cultural, and religious figures,... to allow exchanges in each of their respective

fields.

Those included a high-level meeting led by Seoul's Unification Minister Cho Myoung-gyon

and his North Korean counterpart Ri Son-gwon,... in which the two Koreas discussed ways to

implement the Pyeongyang Declaration,... which calls for boosting inter-Korean cooperation

in areas such as railroads and forestry.

And on the last day of their trip,... they stopped by the botanical gardens, where there's

a pine tree planted by Roh Moo-hyun and the North Korea's ceremonial leader Kim Yong-nam

back in 2007.

Roh's son, Roh Geon-ho, was also there.

"Trust will be built as we continue to fulfill our promises.

I thank the North Koreans for having taken such good care of this pine tree for all these

years."

After wrapping up their three-day trip to the North,... the South Korean delegation

returned to Seoul on Saturday evening.

Crazy DANSKE blir AGGRESSIV og forlates på en ØDE ØY. #VLOGG - Duration: 10:41.

In today's video, we're going out in the woods with an aggressive Dane.

We decide to let him off at a deserted island.

And we try to barbecue "Joikakaker".

So stay tuned!

Peter, we're on.

Oh, sorry.

Hi! Today we have been here at Tom's farm.

It's actually been incredible fun!

So wild. It's been so fun!

And now we've decided to take a boat trip.

So that you're going to join.

So are we at the lake – but we can't find the boat right now.

Where should it be?

It's usually right over there.

NO!

No..?

What!

Wow. Why is it there?

Wow.

Can you get it up??

We have to.

So are we out in the boat.

Better late than never.

That's true.

And Peter;

What's the best about this trip?

I think it's the sound of the water!

It's on time with a boat song.

Peter, do you know a very good boat song?

Song on the boat.

♫ We're sailing up the river ♫

♫ We're sailing down again ♫

I've never been good at such ...

... danish songs.

And if we've been out in the city and there have been danish songs

I just feel like everybody else know the songs.

And I have just been standing there like a dude

and just been mimicking, and pretended like i knew the songs.

Yes, what's happening right now is that we're actually getting close to the island that we want to visit.

It's actually right in front of us.

It must be very special for you, who have never been on an island before.

Yes, it's very special.

I can remember that i have actually been on an island once.

No, I don't think you have.

And vi wish Peter very welcome to this island.

It's going to be a great experience.

And Peter;

You can't jump now.

Don't jump.

Okay Peter, how does it feel to be on this island?

I feel a little like "The little Mermaid".

You are a great mermaid.

But good bye, Peter.

Aren't you coming back?

No! We'll keep in touch.

Come on, guys.

See you later.

You don't mean that?

Come back!

Then we let the Dane on board.

After a nice stay at the worlds smallest island.

And Peter;

How was life at this little fantastic island?

I don't really know.

It was ...

... lonely.

And then we're joining Peter in his new show:

Peter's Nature.

And Peter, what are we going to look at today?

Nature!

Peter's Nature

Okay. Honestly I actually don't know what we're going to eat.

Peter Samara Host

So now we're going to go hunting?

What's happening up there?

We're now back to Peter's Nature. And Peter from Peter's Nature;

What's going to happen today?

We're going to get some branches.

What kind of branches, precisely?

It has to be some ...

It has to be some branches we can use as forks.

What's the best about nature?

Be quiet...

I like to pee in nature.

And I like to just be here in Norway.

You just hear the sound of the water.

Peter, if you can split it up in steps for our viewers.

What we're starting with is that ...

... we're looking for a young tree.

Then we simply cut it right here.

And one thing you have to remember when you're done using a knife is that you have to ...

... you have to put it back in the sheath.

Or push it back in the sheath.

That's very important.

You did it so well.

Than you.

I think Peter deserve an applause for that.

Because that was extremely good.

Are you ready for today's menu, Peter?

We thought since you want to be really Norwegian

we brought "Joikakaker". (Traditional Norwegian canned meatballs)

What is that?

Everybody loves Joika.

Meat from cattle, reindeer and sheep.

What is reindeer?

That is a Sami-cow.

Sami-cow!

Right?

You know what a Sami-cow is?

What else do we have?

Yes, what else do we have.

It's not a real Sami night without some potatoes.

And butter.

Is it supposed to be heated like that?

Mmm, real Norwegian butter.

Shall we get started?

Yes, we should.

Haven't we already started?

Yes, now we have started, yes.

Oh? Is it just standing like that?

It's going to stand like that.

Okay.

How long is it supposed to stand there?

Maybe we'll have to look at the can.

Food in 10 minutes?

Yes. "Good and fast food in 10 minutes".

And this will take ten minutes?

According to the Joika it will take ten minutes.

Hear!

Maybe we should remove the lid?

I think maybe we should remove the lid.

Wait! Do we have something to remove the lid with?

What are we going to do?

We got a code red.

Peter, why didn't you remove the lid?

What are you talking about?!

Oh, you're saying "remove the lid"!

The lid!

I didn't understand anything.

Then Peter have to put on the wool stockings.

Why did you have to put on the wool stockings now, Peter?

I'm freezing like crazy.

Why didn't you bring warmer clothes?

I don't know.

It's because my mother isn't here.

Where is you mother?

She's in Denmark.

What is today's dish, Peter?

It's called

"Jøka – with a spice of potatoes".

Peter, you are having a good time.

Does it taste good?

It tastes insanely good.

Insanely good.

Just think that we're sitting out here on an island

and there's no people around us.

No electricity. Nothing.

We only have a disposable grill.

And we made our own food.

And then we sit and eat us full out here.

Then we have got food.

Very good, man. You have done a very good job.

You only forgot to make a fork for me, Peter.

So that's minus points.

But

I made you a fork. You threw it away!

It was not a particularly good fork.

But I think that we should say good bye, Peter.

Now we're soon going home from this island, and we have got ourselves food.

So thank you all for watching.

Yes, thank you everybody.

This is the start of a new chapter.

It's going to happen so much crazy stuff.

We do have many ideas.

Totally wild!

I hope we'll survive all this.

So just stay tuned.

Do you have some last words to the people?

You know how it is

it's important for us that you subscribe

so that we can make more of these fun videos.

It does also keep our motivation up.

Thank you for watching!

Seoul International Fireworks Festival returns for 16th edition - Duration: 2:11.

The skies above Seoul were lit up last night by a must-see fireworks festival.

Hundreds of thousands of people lined the river flowing through the Korean capital...

to watch and listen.

Our Lee Minsun was there, and says it was a big hit.

Bursts of color lit up the clear autumn sky Saturday night... along Seoul's Hangang

River.

It was the 16th edition of the Seoul International Fireworks Festival.

Things got started before it was even dark, a rare chance ahead of the opening ceremony

to see fireworks in the daylight.

First held in the year 2000, this has become one of Korea's most important festivals, and

it brought out hundreds of thousands of people to the riverside with their friends and families.

"I live nearby so I came to watch these fireworks from around the world.

It's fun.

I especially liked when the fireworks were set to the tune of Gangnam Style."

Large local and international firework teams are asked to join the festival every year.

And this time, teams from Spain, Canada and Korea have been invited to wow the crowds

and light up the night sky over Yeouido.

To the sound of music from the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, the Spanish team put on a show on

theme of Olympic Dreams, depicting the art and culture of two Olympian cities, Seoul

and Barcelona.

"Seeing these fireworks in person is really moving.

It's nothing like watching it on a screen."

For the Korean team's show, the theme was "The Dreaming Moon."

Based on a Korean custom, they floated a gigantic full moon into the sky... on a tether lined

with fireworks, inviting the people on the ground to make a wish.

Their mesmerizing 40-minute display reminded people of dreams and aspirations they might

have forgotten.

The festival came to a close with a crescendo of crackling booms and streaming colors, thrilling

the crowds and leaving with them with big expectations for next year's edition.
