hey guys so in this video I'm going to be talking about five foods that you can

eat that may help to increase your testosterone levels so testosterone as

you probably know is the male dominant hormone responsible for muscle mass

confidence even you know you're fat the more testosterone you have the lean are

you're gonna be overall increasing testosterone naturally is a worthwhile

pursuit however it's important to keep in mind that increasing it naturally by

50 to 100 nanograms per deciliter just as an example is not going to do

anything magical for your body you're not gonna magically gain a ton of muscle

it's nothing like injecting testosterone into your body aka anabolic steroids

however it's still worth pursuing naturally as you can reap some benefits

such as a decrease in body fat so the first food voices now voices aren't your

typical go-to meal right you probably eat eggs frequently maybe you eat

chicken and beef frequently and you probably walk past Isis at the

supermarket but don't really think twice you maybe walk past and think to

yourself it smells weird and that's about it but if you learn how to cook

these and you have them available too and they're relatively cheap then

oysters are definitely worth picking up from the supermarket because they have a

mineral which has been shown to increase testosterone levels and that mineral is

zinc zinc is one of the most important minerals that you need to consume and

it's mainly found an animal products if you're eating animal products you're

typically going to be getting enough however if you have a deficiency in zinc

then chances are that you're going to also have lower testosterone levels zinc

is particularly important for athletes because zinc is lost when you sweat so

if you live in a hot country if you're sweating profusely from doing intense

workouts then zinc is particularly important to pay attention to so this is

why it can be worthwhile to supplement with zinc if you're not getting enough

from your diet if you're a vegetarian or a vegan and/or you're exercising a ton

and sweating a lot so multiple studies have been shown that a low zinc status

has been tied in with an unfavorable male reproductive status you know slower

sperm motility bad sperm quality overall motility means movement by the way lower

testosterone levels we know very clearly from the research that if you consume

more zinc and you had a deficiency testosterone levels tend to go up so

zinc is definitely worth considering and oysters going back to oysters are one of

the foods with the highest cinquante they actually are the food with the

highest zinc content oysters also have something called the aspartic acid daa

which is commonly marketed as a testosterone boosting supplement however

it's one of the more controversial ones with some studies showing it increases

taking in less energy than you need and you're losing fat typically your

cortisol levels your stress hormone is going to be up and your testosterone

levels are gonna be down now thankfully some research has shown that a calorie

deficit of 15% or less doesn't tend to affect cortisol levels much but if

you're dropping your calories you know a thousand calories under your maintenance

and you're maintaining that for several weeks several months you can definitely

expect a decrease in libido and testosterone eventually for most guys

one of the best things you can do in order to increase their social levels is

increase your caloric intake now I'm not telling you to get fat because that's

also going to increase something called aroma taste enzyme and convert more of

your testosterone into estrogen however consuming enough calories are

not under eating as one of the easiest and fastest ways to make sure that your

testosterone levels are optimized this can be seen very clearly if you've been

dieting and you do a refeed day going to calorie deficit for multiple weeks

aggressively loose fat and then randomly up your calories and up your

carbohydrates you're gonna see you again Banas you're gonna be having a high

libido you're gonna be feeling energetic and great

so refeeding and eating more calories is definitely one of the best things you

can do but again overeating for too long and getting fat is one of the worst

things you can do so it's about finding that right balance so the third food

that can increase the social on levels is actually coffee or caffeine now if

you know anything about the relationship between cortisol and so Cerrone

basically what the research shows is that when you're really really stressed

out and your cortisol levels are high testosterone tends to be lower so

cortisol and testosterone have an inverse relationship now what does

caffeine do caffeine does a lot of things it blocks something called

adenosine that prevents us from getting tired it makes you more energetic and

common for good reason it makes you productive but something caffeine also

does is increased cortisol it kicks that stress response

it increases cortisol it makes your body more stressed now this isn't necessarily

a bad thing but you would think it would be a bad thing for testosterone if

caffeine were to increase cortisol wouldn't a decreased testosterone well

research has shown that when caffeine has taken pre-workout it actually tends

to increase testosterone more so than people who don't take the caffeine and

there have actually been multiple studies which have replicated this

result and plenty of them a well-designed so it seems to be quite

conclusive that taking some caffeine before you go and lift weights is gonna

be beneficial in terms of the anabolic response in your body again caffeine has

been shown to be one of the best things to take pre-workout in order to perform

better so if you drink caffeine then it may be worth taking before you workout

to increase this Ostrom however if you take too much and you're drinking five

cups of coffee a day and you're constantly drinking coffee you are gonna

find that you're excessively stressed maybe anxiety is gonna increase and at

this point there will be a certain point where a certain enzyme and your

testicles cannot handle on the amount of cortisol that's being released and this

in turn is going to cause a decrease in testosterone so moderation is key try to

keep your caffeine caffeine intake muriatic and only use it when you

require it and ideally don't use it at all or if you need to use it use it

before your workouts for that test boost so the next food I want to talk about is

olive oil or more broadly monounsaturated fats one of the best

types of fats you can consume the reason is simple monounsaturated fats aren't

hated on you know saturated fat gets a lot of heat omega sixes get a lot of

heat even omega-3s get a lot of heat these days but not many people tend to

have a problem with monounsaturated fats and that's because the research is

pretty clear that it's not linked with cardiovascular disease if anything it's

beneficial and we see that some of the blue zone populations around the world

people that live very long populations which have many centurions like the

Sardinians right in Italy these people consume a

lot of olive oil now olive oil has also been shown to be beneficial for erectile

dysfunction has been beneficial for testosterone and we know based on a few

studies that monounsaturated fat has a positive relationship with testosterone

meaning when you consume more of it testosterone tends to go up and this is

because fat is the building block for your hormones so monounsaturated fat can

be found in olives avocados olive oil avocado oil other options macadamia nuts

and macadamia oil and the last food I want to talk about is milk

now if increasing testosterone levels is your goal then you should buy low-fat

milk now this isn't because there's any anything inherently wrong with the fat

content of milk when it comes to body composition you know having whole milk

that's fine right but the problem is is that estrogen is fat soluble and it's

held in the fat of milk and research has shown that whole milk with fat tends to

decrease things like sperm motility a sperm count decreases testosterone while

low-fat milk doesn't have this negative impact while still providing the

beneficial nutrients that milk has like calcium protein and vitamin D that's it

And again just come down to your own level. You don't have to reach the fingers all the way to the mat

You can just rest your hand on your shin if you need to

Beautiful come up to Center arms out and then turn the foot in

Turn the other foot out and stepping to the front of your mat. Wonderful job

Take a moment here to close your eyes drop the shoulders away from the ears. Just connect with your breath for a second

And again, just feel the breath feel yourself grounded on your mat

Feeling yourself rooted down through them out into the ground into mother earth

Another inhale through your nose

Feel the energy between your hands feel the energy from your feet to the mat

Connect yourself. Inhale reach the arms up exhale

Drop the arms down bring your left knee

Towards your chest and pull it in as close as you can and start to rotate that ankle

One direction and then you can reverse the direction. Just letting go of any tension in that ankle joint

Finding your balance here hold

Then passing the knee to your left hand open that knee to the side

The other hand can stay rested on your hip

breathing deeply here

Staying grounded and rooted through that right supported foot

Binding your focus on the ground

Staying present

Come back to Center

Dropping down the foot and taking our next posture a tree pose

It's a little easier version is to bring the foot to the inside of your shin and just hold it there a little bit more

Advanced just to bring it all the way up to the inside of your thigh

Whatever it version you like to take what we want to focus on is to have the foot either above or below the knee

From here your hands can come in front of you in prayer position

But keep them on your hips if that's easier

Breathing deeply here and just finding that stability

For the engagement of your core

Pulling the navel into the spine keeping your focus

And staying present with the breath

Inhale and exhale

Finding your Center

Being okay if you lose your balance from time to time

Enjoy the process

Slowly let's release the foot

and

Bring your feet together inhale. Let's reach both arms up to the sky exhale arms down

And again deep breath in reach the arms up exhale

As the arms come down bring the other knee to your chest

Pull it in and start to rotate that ankle one way then the other way letting go of any tension that joined

Feeling grounded and rooted through that other leg just

Breathing deeply of finding your focus

Staying present in your mind here

The ones here ready? What we're gonna do is pass that leg towards that right hand the other hand on your hip and

Open the leg to the side so gently opening the hip

Letting go of any tension in that area of your body while still maintaining that balance core stabilization

Keeping ourselves strong

Hold and breathe

Being attention to each inhalation and exhalation slowly

Bring it over towards the center drop the foot. Let's take our tree pose

The other sides the same thing bring it over towards the inside of your calf

Or if you like to go further pull that foot all the way up towards the inside of your thigh

Visualize roots growing down from your foot into the earth just like the roots of a tree

Keeping you still breathe in and exhale out

Feeling the energy between your two hands

Taking your final inhalation in this posture and

Exhale drop your foot. Let's take an inhale reach the arms up exhale

Arms come down again. Inhale arms up to the sky exhale

taking your forward fold, uttanasana

Taking this posture to your own level, so either hold the back of your knees

If you're more of a beginner, you'd like to go a little bit further grab your ankles or if you feel more flexible

Go ahead. See if you can reach your big toes with two fingers and start to release your body all the way down

Most importantly we want to think about folding from the hips

Keeping the spine straight if you need to bend the knees bend the knees

just breathe with

Each exhalation try to go a little bit deeper

But be patient be kind to yourself don't force anything

The goal is to slowly release deeper and deeper into this posture to feel a deep stretch

But we don't want to force any pain onto our body

So breathe through it and slowly with time progressed the next step

Inhale and exhale

Beautiful slowly release wherever you are

Coming up halfway

Lengthen the spy and then slowly bend the knees and come over to the mat extending the legs out

Holding this posture for extended amount of time so that we can really feel the muscle slowly letting go of the resistance

Letting go of all that tension that no longer serves you

Breathe it out as you slowly allow yourself to go deeper and deeper

Let's slowly take a couple of our last breaths here

Inhale and exhale

One more time deep breath in slowly reach the arms up and

10 Mistakes That Will Damage Your Watch [0:00:00]

So, it's a cold and rainy Saturday and, me, being a good dad, I take my kids to the

local aquatic center.

I'm about to jump in the pool and realized, oh, I've got my Rolex Explorer on.

Not a big deal, this thing is water-resistant, but then I go to the hot tub.

In today's video, gents, ten tiny things that are going to destroy your expensive watch.

[Music] The first tiny mistake that's going to damage

your expensive watch, adjusting the time backwards.

On mechanical watches especially vintage pieces, this can damage the watch.

Now, a lot of modern pieces, they can take the beating, but you want to be careful here

especially with watches that actually have a date function.

Go clockwise when you're adjusting the time as in going forward in time, do not go backwards.

Now, this tiny mistake that can damage your expensive watch, I'm surprised how many

men do not know about this.

And this on a mechanical watch, when you're adjusting the date, make sure that the time

is not between 10:00 PM and 2:00 AM because at that point your watch is actually engaging

the mechanisms to change the date automatically.

And if you go in there and you force this change, you can actually damage the watch.

Now, some of you guys are going to say, oh, it's between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, I wouldn't

chance it, I would make sure that the time is outside of those range whenever you go

in there to mechanically change this date.

The next tiny mistake that's going to damage your expensive watch is over winding.

Now, this really applies to mechanical watches that are a bit older more vintage or if they're

cheaply made.

Most mechanical watches, they're going to have a fail-safe.

They're going to have it set up so that the main spring is going to disengage at a

set point once it's fully wound up, so it does not damage the watch.

But, you want to be careful.

If you can actually start to notice, well, that's getting a lot tighter than what it

was, then go ahead and pull back.

If you pick a watch up and it hasn't been wound, it's completely dead.

No, they're okay about twenty to thirty winds is going to be perfectly fine.

Most watches I go with are going to be automatic, so they're going to have a self-winder in

them and if I get twenty good, you know, good winds, I'm perfectly good to go.

So, I'm reading about a submarine the other day.

Apparently, it went to dive and it did not have the hatches closed.

So, all these water shot in, they were able to get it back to port, but his had a lot

of damage.

Guys, the same thing can happen with your specialty watch that is made to go underwater.

If it is not seal, you do not close and seal that crown.

You don't make sure those pushers are sealed, all of a sudden you're going to take that

thing under the water and you're going to have damage.

Guys, make sure that your watch is set to go under the water.

The next tiny mistake that's going to lead to big problems with your expensive watch,

gentlemen is you don't understand what water resistance means.

So, when I jumped in that hot tub, I did not understand that hot water has a different

effect than cool room temperature water on your watch.

Why?

Because I went from a cold environment to a hot environment and guess what happens?

You have expansion, you have glass, you've got different materials and things are going

to change up slightly.

Now, I dodge a bullet, my Rolex Explorer, perfectly fine.

And, there are watches out there that are made to go underneath the water and they are

made specifically for it.

But, if it's a 3 atm, it's a 5 atm.

That means atmospheres.

So, 3 atm about 30 meters, 5 atm is about 50 meters, that does not mean that you can

take it under the water for a prolonged period.

And it definitely doesn't mean that you want to take it from a cold environment to

a hot environment and really push the envelope here.

These fashion watches, these are not made to stay underwater for a prolonged period

and that can lead to issues.

The next tiny mistake that can lead to big issues, gentlemen, you bought a brand new

watch with no warranty.

Now, it does have a warranty, but not from who you think.

So, if you don't buy a watch from an authorized dealer whether it'd be Casio, whether it'd

be Rolex, understand you're not getting their warranty.

And that's why you got such a sweet deal.

I have seen some horror stories especially on Amazon when they talk about, hey, I've

bought what I thought was an amazing deal.

I had some issues, I sent it back.

I thought the company was going to stand behind it, but lo and behold, I actually got this

as a gray market and now I'm having to go through this company's warranty service

which is horrible.

So, guys, if warranties are really important to you, then you want to make sure you bought

from an authorized dealer.

The next tiny mistake, you don't have insurance.

Now, you think you got insurance.

I've got home insurance, doesn't that cover all of my nice expensive watches?

Yes and no.

Up to a certain point.

If you've got a watch and let's say it starts to go beyond a thousand, a couple of

thousand, a few things here.

Keep the receipts, keep the boxes, take a picture.

Better yet, I've actually got a video walk through of all of the valuables and I try

to update this every six months and I send this over not only to my – my insurance

guy, but I ask him to make sure, hey, did you take note of these expensive things here.

And you can bet, someone's just going to -- this is going to be one of the easiest

things to grab and, boom, you're out of that unless you got insurance and you've

got good coverage.

[0:04:58] The next tiny thing that can damage your expensive

watch, gentlemen, magnets.

Magnetism, you can actually just destroy your watch, all it takes is 60 gauss.

Guys, in the average refrigerator magnet, we're talking 50 gauss, so that's really

close.

These right here these are pretty strong.

I actually use them for collar stays sometimes and I can tell you, guys, that magnets are

everywhere.

Anyone that works around speakers, you know huge powerful magnets in speakers.

So you take your expensive watch you put it on your speaker, you leave it there for maybe

a few days a few hours, all of a sudden, boom, your watch is magnetized.

Be aware.

Watch out for it.

Next up, gentlemen, let's talk about shock.

This watch is the G-SHOCK.

It's made specifically to handle shock.

So, I could throw it, boom, right there.

Now, that watch is going to be perfectly fine.

Do not do this with your other watches.

You're saying, Antonio, why would I do that with my expensive watch?

Well, let's think, you're playing golf, you are playing tennis and your hand is swinging

and that motion right there that shock can damage your expensive watches.

So, be careful when you're out playing some of the sports that you're swinging back

and forth and all of a sudden, you're going to get too much shock and you're going to

damage that watch.

Now, this next tiny mistake that can lead to big problems, I find a bit controversial

because I don't necessarily agree with it and that is every three to five years or when

the company calls for, you need to send the watch in to get routine maintenance done.

They're going to open up the back, maybe add oil make sure everything is running good,

so that it tells the time accurately.

For me, I'm a little bit scared, I mean it's a close system and the watch has been

working perfectly fine, why would I send off a perfectly fine working watch to get this

maintenance and then they could bump?

I mean read the horror stories, I went there and I look.
