Ayo! It's Bryan here. Today, going to try to talk about the game that happened

yesterday between the Arizona Cardinals and 49ers at home. It was a disaster for

the most part. I'm going to tell you that right now. I don't know where to start.

Getting blown out by the Cardinals... I mean, I don't even know if they beat us. I

felt like we beat ourselves. I'll talk about more about the game in a second,

but... I just don't know where to start. If I had a word to describe this whole game

for me. It's not mad. It's not frustrated. It was stressful. It was just a stressful

game to watch. The rest of the season, I don't know if I can bear with it. You

know what? I'm just playing with y'all. I'm still going to watch all of the games.

Going to do all these videos and what have you because I enjoy talking

about the 49ers some way, shape or form, even though they are sucking right now. I

still love this team. No people, I'm not going to be a bandwagon. I'm not going to go

with the Kansas City Chiefs or the New England Patriots or anything

like that. You know, if I had to pick a team right now to root for that's not

the 49ers, I'll root for the Cleveland Browns. I'm excited to see what they can

do to be honest with you because Baker Mayfield has really changed the team.

They have two wins and two losses or I don't even know their record is, but

they'll do it alright with Mayfield. I kind of want to see Cleveland do

well because they've been suffering for the past couple of years now, but hey.

Don't want to get into much ranting right now. So, going to be taking away three

things that I got from this game. I should do like ten things because

there's a lot to takeaway from this game, but I'm going to be managing to do

three. Yeah, let's do it, but before I do, please "Like" and Subscribe to support my

channel. That would definitely help me out a lot. That would definitely try to help

me cope with this loss of this team, of this year pretty much. Going 1-4.

28-12, no fun. Hopefully, you guys can support me there and I can

support you guys as a whole Niner Faithful. We'll get through this

season some way, shape or form. Let's do it. Let's kick some a**. The Top 3

takeaways that I got for the game against the Arizona Cardinals. Coming in at

number three, I have turnovers. Now, there was a lot of turnovers in this game. I

think Beathard had two interceptions, although the first one we can kind of forgive

because there was nothing too crazy there. I don't think they score a

touchdown in the first INT, but the second INT, I think that led to a

touchdown and then Raheem Mostert, after Breida getting injured decides

to fumble the ball accidentally. I know it wasn't intentional, but still. He fumbled

the ball that set up a touchdown recovered by Patrick Peterson. It was a

disastrous day for the 49ers. I cannot believe they turned the ball over this

many times. I haven't seen it all year long and I just saw it just now of what

happened yesterday of all the turnovers. That's probably why we lost the game. It

was a weird game because we had so many first downs and yet, we lost by a lot of

points. We were able to move the ball down, but we were hampered by a lot of

setbacks like turnovers, four and outs and drop passes from Pierre Garçon. I just

don't know where to start. Turnovers, not a good way to win and most the time, you

will lose games if you commit turnovers. Coming in at number two, I have the defense.

Actually, they did a pretty good job in my estimation for this game against the

Cardinals. It was probably one of the better performances out of the whole

rest of the season. I mean the past couple of weeks for the defense, it's

been pretty horrid, but this one, they did that actually a pretty good job on it.

Stopping Josh Rosen, although we kind of got lucky with drop passes from

the receivers. They had a lot of missed opportunities as well. For the

most part, they did a pretty good job, although they did blow up that first

touchdown from Josh Rosen to Christian Kirk. I think that was the receiver that

caught the 70+ yard touchdown. That was a little bit on the defense, but

still. Richard Sherman coming back early, I did not expect to see that. It

looked pretty good for the most part. I wish Sherman would play more often. I wish he

could stay healthy, but you know, it's going to be hard with a torn Achilles and

just keeping setback injuries and what have you. If I had to give a

performance grade, I'd probably give it a almost an "A," but I'll give it a "B" because

you know, I was surprised that they did a really good job. I thought they were going to

suck it up in this game, but it was the other way around. It was the defense

doing good, but the offense sucking. Defense, got to give you props. I don't know if

you guys can keep this up. You got to play the Packers this Monday Night and it

should be a fun one, Good job. Hopefully, you can keep it up and this is the

defense we were all looking for, for the past couple of weeks now. Before I get to

the number one takeaway that I got for this game, want to do a quick honorable

mention. Going to be mentioning the penalties. I don't know if that's an

honorable mention or not, but penalties, no good. Still a problem somewhat.

Laken Tomlinson had quite a bit of false starts. Not good. Garrett Celek had a

costly false starts. It ruins a lot of momentum. The 49ers offense always

moving the ball and then, having that kind of penalty or having like a

offensive pass interference, ah man. It just sucks. I don't know if they can stop

doing that. You know, I don't know if this team is disciplined enough. I don't want

to get on a rant, but still. Not good to commit penalties and that's

probably why a lot of our drives end up in the trash pretty much this whole game.

against the Cardinals. 49ers, try to fix it as much as

possible for the next couple of weeks and should be good hopefully. Coming in at

number one as the biggest takeaway that I got for this game against the

Cardinals is missed opportunities. This is a very long comprehensive thing right

here. I'll try to make it as short as possible. Turnovers when we're having a

lot of momentum, penalties as mentioned in the honorable mention lists. Injuries,

oh my gosh! Injuries are bad, but I don't know what you can do about that. Just a

lot of things went wrong in this game. If I had a point to the biggest reason why

they lost this game is a little bit of unluck with injuries. I mean, Matt Breida

coming out of the game with an ankle injury, that just sucks man. Great running

back. Had a 5 yard receiving touchdown from Beathard to start the drive off and

then, gets injured later on. It sucked pretty much and Robbie Gould missing a

couple of opportunities. Missed a field goal for the first time. That was really

unusual. I think he missed an extra point or something like that. All those things,

we could have won this game. This was a very winnable game, but the 49ers

just punched themselves in the face and lost this game, although I have to give

Arizona credit, especially Chandler Jones and his defense. They did a really good

job on stifling our offense. Those turnovers, fumbling the ball, interceptions, missing

field goals, all that, that really hurt this team a lot. This is pretty much the

nail in the coffin for the rest of the season. I don't know if they can make a

comeback after starting 1-4. The Rams are way ahead of the division

now. Everyone the NFC is doing ok I guess. I mean, it's a little open somewhat, but

still. They have a tough schedule for the rest of the way until probably week 9

against the Raiders. That's like the only next winnable game I could see right now

out of the whole schedule. Ah man. Pretty stressful. I'll keep it short, simple, easy.

I'll try to cope with this loss for the rest of the week and hopefully by

Wednesday, I'll have a prediction video for the game for Monday Night Football.

Going to keep it like that you guys. Please let me know where your takeaways are for

the season. Is the season over? I'd like to hear what you guys have to say about

this game against the Cardinals. If you guys like this, please "Like" and Subscribe

to support my channel. That would definitely help me out a lot and I will

see you guys another time. So, I hope you guys have a nice day, nice weekend, nice whatever. I'll see you

guys later. Bye guys. Love y'all. Enjoy the week hopefully!

- Come on!

- Elayna glorious!

- [Elayna] Well this is more like a small island.

- Perfect absolutely perfect.

(Elayna gasping and laughing)

- Strawberry?

(upbeat music)

- [Elayna] Last week we had a bit of trouble checking into

the Bahamas here in Staniel Cay.

- [Riley] Well you can't check in there.

- [Elayna] We tried.

- I'm stoked.

- [Elayna] After a quick stop over and a sail across

coral head ridden bank we made it to Nassau

so we can do just that.

And then a close call with a small bridge

got our hearts pumping.

Oh no, it's hardly a tail.

We just stuck the boat in reverse.

- We had a bit of a look out and we were both like nah.

Not gonna risk it.

- [Elayna] We anchored La Vagabonde on the north west side

of the island and headed into land.

We just hopped into a taxi and we are on our way

to the customs building.

Left the dinghy tied off to the jetty

so hopefully she's alright.

- I'm still wildly confused about all this marina business.

I thought that was gonna be our ace in the hole.

A way to expedite this process.

- But hopefully this is quick.

And we got to anchor which is way better.

- I wouldn't hold my breath. (Elayna laughs)

- [Elayna] Alright can you tell me about customs?

What's happened?

- Whatever you do if you come here just go to a marina.

No one just understands that you might not wanna do that.

- [Elayna] Captain grumpy. I had to jump in here to say

that this is in fact all Riley's fault by not following

the correct procedure to checking into customs.

Half of the time when he tries to do things his own way

it saved us hours and even days of unnecessary work,

hassle and bureaucratic nonsense, but the other half

he just complains there is ridiculous rules and measures

we have to go to sail in and out of the country.

Oh Riles.

- Sorry

Go into a marina and check in.

We gotta taxi all the way to customs

and they said oh no what are you doing here.

- [Elayna] you need to check in with your boat in a marina.

- What do you want them to swim out to your boat?

And I was like no I don't want them

to swim out to my boat but they are more than welcome to.

Its just around here so it's not too bad.

- So lost our Q flag

(classical music)

I'm pretty scared of customs here,

just because of our experience at the Immigration building.

So I've decided that I'm gonna make a Q flag

(laughing) out of paper and sticky notes.

This is just a page out of my journal.

And I'm going to just stick some sticky notes to the paper,

try and get it up the mast.

So that will be interesting hopefully they don't notice.

Oh no I'm out.

It's going to be a one sided yellow flag.

There you have it guys I'm pretty good.

(royal music)

- [Voice On Radio] The name of the boat.

The name of the boat.

- La Vagabonde.

(garbled voice on radio)

- You need the registration number of vessel La Vagabonde?

(garbled voice on radio)

Just give me 2 minutes to find the paper work.

(garbled voice on radio)

- [Elayna] What are you gonna do cap?

(Riley whistling)

(indistinct chattering)

- Well that was really quick and easy

and not what I expected.

We did it!

- We're not crazy about men with guns again.

That's not how you greet people into your country,

I don't reckon.

- But anyway enough complaining we've done it.

We are gonna go get some food for the boat finally.

And we are heading off.

(saxophone tooting)

And we are off.

Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah.

They didn't even care about the yellow flag,

I'm really disappointed.

I wanted to see what they'd say or if they even notice.

They didn't even have a look at the boat so.

Hey, I wanted to tell you guys

that converted the feet to metres

with that bridge yesterday, and we found out that the bridge

was 20 metres so we would have wiped off

the top of our antennas at the top so I'm really glad

we didn't go under that bridge.

Because it would have been a drama trying

to get all that fixed.

Anyway oh shit that's a cruise ship,

I gotta go!

(wind rushing)

RISKRIM GETS NERVOUS | The Works of Mercy - Duration: 24:16.

Hello mates, my name is Risk and welcome to "The Works of Mercy"

so I found this game on Steam

and I'm all about

fat women trying to kill me so

I'm gonna start a new game.

Honestly when he saw that in the trailer I was like, okay maybe I should play this game

Perhaps it holds some value

and I got this game also free from the developer

you can turn them off whenever you want too

So it's really really cool

Where am I? What am I doing?

Is it me rushing to like the hospital or something like

Help me. She ded! She died!

I mean, I'm definitely gonna be in jail because I'm part of a murderer

Like as much as you don't like it as much of my as I'm the victim here

I just don't think there is another way around it like

The police is gonna be like, why didn't you call the police? Huh?

Why they kidnap your daughter?

can I not get in here? We'll have to find another way around perhaps we'll go up the stairs

You know I'm not gonna question their taste in candles and art

because I clearly don't understand and also was this made for midgets?

I mean for the protocol I didn't.

I didn't kill a curvy woman. All right.

I'm not killing my grandpa. I'm not killing my grandpa forget about that

pretty sure

No, I didn't

Listen, okay. I don't know what my character did and didn't do so I can't act like I'm saint now.

Okay, can I get an out of here now?

Maybe. Now show me the way out. Thank you

My god, why was that necessary to talk with that guy?

I don't know.

I'm sure there is also the developer gave me a tip that there is a

list somewhere within the game and it should help me organize

the story a bit. Because I am confused. Oh, I drew that art.

Ohh

Listen

Somebody's a little mad. Hey.

Would you like a glass okay

So I wonder where the list is?

is there no, oh there it is

Spiritual works of mercy

1. To admonish the sinners

And corporal works of mercy 3. To clothe the naked

What?

You mean I can like put her... I put clothes on her?

I'm just gonna act apathetic. Okay

Empathetic complete achievement added

your you... small heart. Alright

So she's coming over. I really hope we don't have to end her too

You know, that's what happened to the last curvy woman that showed up.

Oh no, I'm allergic to curvy women

6IX9INE: BEST Verses - Duration: 5:26.

Hey guys, it's CDTV here and ya boi is back again to bring you another episode of Best

Verses, this time yeah its on uh 6IX9INE.

It really is.

I'm not gonna outright call him a bad rapper because that's unnecessary in this video

and clearly a lot of people bump his music regularly, but let's just say this is gonna

be a short one.

There isn't really much else that needs to be said, let's jump right into looking

at 6IX9INE's strongest verses in my opinion.

BILLY (Verse 1):

I always point to this as pretty much my favourite 6IX9INE song out there, and it's because

I feel this is the most genuinely energetic song that he's made.

Those dramatic sounding strings on the instrumental mix perfectly with his loud, forceful delivery

to make this verse very punchy.

And honestly, there's a couple of bars here that I think make for nice wordplay, with

this line referencing the basketball player Ibaka, who, you guessed it, has a number 9

on his jersey, and the following line immediately referencing the rapper, Baka Not Nice, whilst

also imitating the sound a gun makes when he says Baka, I think it's kinda clever.

Sure, most of the verse is comprised of him talking about making women gushy gushy, but

at least he flows that part nicely.

It's honestly not a bad verse if you just tune out the last 20 seconds worth of lyrics.

DOOWEE (Verse 1):

Now remember, I'm not saying this verse is absolutely amazing, but i still think it's

one of 6IX9INE's better ones as he uses a flow here that we rarely ever hear him use.

That's what makes this one stand out to me.

He uses this non stop flow for a decent amount of time during this verse, and it's kind

of interesting to hear him use that cadence whilst still shouting.

This also happens as the drums drop out for a second which really puts an emphasis on

the flow switch.

It's just good to hear him ride pretty smoothly over an instrumental as he does on this track.

He also compares the length of his guns clip to an abnormally large d*** so that's um,

pretty entertaining too.

GIGI (Verse 1):

This is actually one of the very few songs where 6IX9INE uses a delivery much closer

to his regular voice that I enjoy.

You see, a lot of his old songs have him using his regular voice, and I don't like most

of those cause they just sound pretty boring.

I prefer him shouting honestly.

But here, I don't know exactly what it is, but his normal voice actually works really

well.

Maybe its the fact that he mixes it with shouting ad libs at the end of each line, and that

stops things from getting stale, but whatever it is, this verse sounds a little different

to most of his other tracks in a good way.

Unfortunately I'm not a fan of Gringo's verse, the other rapper on this song, so I

just kinda skip it after 6IX9INE's verse each time, but I'm just happy that we got

a fairly enjoyable verse on this one.

93 (Verse 1):

I really do not have much to say about this one, it's basically on here for the exact

same reason as DOOWEE.

It's just good to hear 6IX9INE make a bit more of an attempt to make his flow a little

more interesting, and this one actually has a fairly decent rhyme scheme too.

The beat is a little bit abrasive, but it has grown on me because it's a sound that

honestly compliments 6IX9INE's vocals.

Not one of my favourite songs from him overall, but I think this is a cool verse.

INTERNATIONAL GANGSTAS (Verse 1):

Here's another collaboration 6IX9INE has done with foreign rappers, just like the song

GiGi which I included earlier in this video, with him working with artists from Germany

and France this time.

This is another one of those verses where I feel like 6IX9INE put a little bit more

work into the lyrics and wordplay, and it results in a verse that I find a bit more

entertaining to listen to.

"All these pipes in my trunk like I'm plumbing" is a decent line, and he has similar

lines scattered throughout this entire verse.

It was just nice to see him consistently go for metaphors and similes on here rather than

just throwing one or two in like he usually does.

He also switches up his cadence 3 or 4 times here, which again is more than usual.

I just feel like he tried to step things up a bit more here in all fronts, and I like

it.

Your fingerprints reveal more than you think | Simona Francese - Duration: 10:06.

Do you ever stop and think, during a romantic dinner,

"I've just left my fingerprints all over my wine glass."

(Laughter)

Or do you ever worry, when you visit a friend,

about leaving a little piece of you behind on every surface that you touch?

And even this evening,

have you paid any attention to sit without touching anything?

Well, you're not alone.

Thankfully, criminals underestimate the power of fingerprints, too.

And I'm not just talking about the twisted parting of lines

that make our fingerprint unique.

I'm talking about an entire world of information

hiding in a small, often invisible thing.

In fact, fingerprints are made up of molecules

that belong to three classes:

sweat molecules that we all produce in very different amounts ...

molecules that we introduce into our body and then we sweat out

and molecules that we may contaminate our fingertips with

when we come across substances like blood, paint, grease,

but also invisible substances.

And molecules are the storytellers of who we are

and what we've been up to.

We just need to have the right technology to make them talk.

So let me take you on a journey of unthinkable capabilities.

Katie has been raped

and her lifeless body has been found in the woods three days later,

after her disappearance.

The police is targeting three suspects,

having narrowed down the search from over 20 men

who had been seen in that area on the same day.

The only piece of evidence

is two very faint, overlapping fingerprints

on the tape that was found wrapped around Katie's neck.

Often, faint and overlapping fingerprints cannot help the police

to make an identification.

And until recently, this might have been the end of the road,

but this is where we can make the difference.

The tape is sent to our labs,

where we're asked to use our cutting-edge technology

to help with the investigation.

And here, we use an existing form

of mass spectrometry imaging technology

that we have further developed and adapted

specifically for the molecular and imaging analysis of fingerprints.

In essence, we fire a UV laser at the print,

and we cause the desorption of the molecules from the print,

ready to be captured by the mass spectrometer.

Mass spectrometry measures the weight of the molecules --

or as we say, the mass --

and those numbers that you see there, they indicate that mass.

But more crucially,

they indicate who those molecules are --

whether I'm seeing paracetamol

or something more sinister, forensically speaking.

We applied this technology to the evidence that we have

and we found the presence of condom lubricants.

In fact, we've developed protocols that enable us to even suggest

what brand of condom might have been used.

So we pass this information to the police,

who, meanwhile, have obtained a search warrant

and they found the same brand of condom in Dalton's premises.

And with Dalton and Thomson also having records for sexual assaults,

then it is Chapman that may become the less likely suspect.

But is this information enough to make an arrest?

Of course not,

and we are asked to delve deeper with our investigation.

So we found out, also, the presence of other two very interesting molecules.

One is an antidepressant,

and one is a very special molecule.

It only forms in your body

if you drink alcohol and consume cocaine at the same time.

And alcohol is known to potentiate the effects of cocaine,

so here, we now have a hint on the state of mind

of the individual whilst perpetrating the crime.

We passed this information to the police,

and they found out that, actually, Thomson is a drug addict,

and he also has a medical record for psychotic episodes,

for which presumably the antidepressant was prescribed.

So now Thomson becomes the more likely suspect.

But the reality is that I still don't know where these molecules are coming from,

from which fingerprint,

and who those two fingerprints belong to.

Fear not.

Mass spectrometry imaging can help us further.

In fact, the technology is so powerful

that we can see where these molecules are on a fingerprint.

Like you see in this video,

every single one of those peaks corresponds to a mass,

every mass to a molecule,

and we can interrogate the software, by selecting each of those molecules,

as to where they are present on a fingermark.

And some images are not very revealing,

some are better,

some are really good.

And we can create multiple images of the same mark --

in theory, hundreds of images of the same fingerprint --

for as many of the molecules that we have detected.

So step one ...

for overlapping fingerprints, chances are,

especially if they come from different individuals,

that the molecular composition is not identical,

so let's ask the software to visualize those unique molecules

just present in one fingermark and not in the other one.

By doing so,

that's how we can separate the two ridge patterns.

And this is really important

because the police now are able to identify one of the two fingerprints,

which actually corresponds to Katie.

And they've been able to say so

because they've compared the two separate images

with one taken posthumously from Katie.

So now, we can concentrate on one fingerprint only --

that of the killer's.

So then, step two ...

where are these three molecules that I've seen?

Well, let's interrogate the software -- show me where they are.

And by doing this,

only portions of the image of the killer's fingerprint show up.

In other words,

those substances are only present in the killer's print.

So now our molecular findings start matching very nicely

the police intelligence about Thomson,

should that fingerprint belong to him.

But the reality is that that print is still not good enough

to make an identification.

Step three:

since we can generate hundreds of images of the same fingerprint,

why don't we superimpose them,

and by doing so,

try to improve the rich pattern of continuity and clarity?

That's the result.

Striking.

We now have a very clear image of the fingerprint

and the police can run it through the database.

The match comes out to Thomson.

Thomson is our killer.

(Applause)

Katie, the suspects and the circumstances of the crime aren't real,

but the story contains elements

of the real police casework we've been confronted with,

and is a composite of the intelligence that we can provide --

that we have been able to provide the police.

And I'm really, really thrilled that after nine years of intense research,

as of 2017,

we are able to contribute to police investigations.

Mine is no longer a dream;

it's a goal.

We're going to do this wider and wider,

bigger and bigger,

and we're going to know more about the suspect,

and we're going to build an identikit.

I believe this is also a new era for criminal profiling.

The work of the criminologist

draws on the expert recognition of behavioral patterns

that have been observed before to belong to a certain type,

to a certain profile.

As opposed to this expert but subjective evaluation,

we're trying to do the same thing,

but from the molecular makeup of the fingerprint,

and the two can work together.

I did say that molecules are storytellers,

so information on your health,

your actions, your lifestyle, your routines,

they're all there,

accessible in a fingerprint.

And molecules are the storytellers of our secrets

in just a touch.

Thank you.

(Audience) Wow.

(Applause)

Signs You're In A Great Chinese Restaurant - Duration: 4:55.

As with most world cuisine, if you're looking for quality, then you're looking for authenticity.

We can't make any promises, of course, but if the restaurant you're in hits these marks,

then it's got a decent chance of being a tasty and authentic Chinese restaurant.

Location, location, location!

Location is everything.

A Chinese restaurant sitting in the middle of your city's Indian neighbourhood isn't

going to inspire confidence, and neither is one that's on the side of a highway in the

middle of nowhere.

But if that restaurant is situated in the heart of the Chinese community, there's a

fair bet that the owners and staff are going to constitute a part of that community.

Certain regions in the U.S. like New York City and parts of California have a very high

concentration of Chinese immigrants, so they're a good place to start.

Within your town or city, look for the residential Chinese neighborhoods and see if you can find

a place nearby.

Beware, however, of Chinatowns: they're meant to bring in tourists, and that's hardly an

indicator of quality grub.

Spice up your life

It may sound weird, but if your Chinese restaurant is, well, a "Chinese restaurant," it's probably

not going to serve the best Chinese food.

China itself is made up of eight culinary regions: Cantonese, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, which

are known for their light, sweet dishes; Sichuan, which does spicy food better than anyone else;

Hunan, which goes for spicy and sour recipes; Anhui and Fujian, which utilize mountain ingredients

in their dishes; and Shandong, which specializes in seafood.

Find a restaurant that uses one of those regional labels instead of throwing all its food under

a general "Chinese" umbrella, and it's likely you've found a place where the chefs know

what they're doing.

The added bonus of visiting a region-based restaurant, of course, is also that knowing

the region well will give you a good idea of the menu before you even sit down.

A word of advice

This might seem obvious, but it's worth saying anyway: It's a good sign when the staff speaks

Chinese.

According to Mission Chinese Food's Danny Bowien, the places where the staff uses the

language as their first are, more often than not, the best.

It's simple logic, and similar to choosing the right neighborhood, who else would you

trust to serve authentic, quality Chinese food than culinary-minded folk who've maintained

such a strong link to their culture?

A leap of taste

So you've been shown to your table and handed an English menu to peruse.

What's the first thing you should do?

Throw it away.

Any Chinese restaurant worth its salt will cater to a Chinese clientele, and that means

there's bound to be a Chinese-language menu available.

This menu, which is likely to contain some of the more out-there dishes, might be tricky

to get hold of without somebody who can speak a Chinese language.

If you're willing to throw yourself into the challenge, however, you'll have a whole new

world of Chinese food opened up to you.

And if you've found a place where there isn't even an English menu available, congratulations:

You've struck gold.

Fortune cookie fail

There are some dishes out there which might appear Chinese at first glance, but are actually

simply western inventions designed to appear that way.

"All of these dishes popular here in China might seem unfamiliar to you if you're used

to eating Chinese food in the United States."

Examples of "Chinese" food you won't actually find in China include crab rangoon, which

is an American invention, and duck sauce, which is made from fruit that doesn't exist

in China.

Stay away from broccoli too, which is a Western vegetable, and remember that fortune cookies

were most likely invented by Japanese immigrants to the United States.

Beware of any Chinese restaurant that offers them.

"I refuse to play your chinese food mind games."

At best, any restaurant serving dishes like these is trying to cater to Westerners, or,

at worst, they don't really know what they're doing.

Neither of those should strike you as the best place to get authentic Chinese food.

Dim sum, win some

While there are a handful of Western dishes you should keep an eye out for on the menu,

there's one dish that should reassure you that you've found the right place: dim sum.

For the uninitiated, dim sum is a type of bite-sized food that's usually served in baskets,

often with tea as part of brunch.

Dim sum dishes can include dumplings, rolls, buns and cakes, and are usually pushed around

the restaurant on carts for customers to pick and choose.

According to David R. Chan, an L.A. lawyer who's eaten in over 6,000 North American Chinese

restaurants, almost every single one he's ever found which served dim sum has been an

authentic restaurant catering to Chinese diners.

Use this as your authenticity barometer.

Tea time

Similarly, you can gauge how authentic your Chinese restaurant is by just how seriously

they take their tea.

"It's sniffed, sorted, and served piping hot right on the street.

This is the tea harvest in China."

The Chinese, of course, don't mess around when it comes to the stuff: the drinking of

tea in China is a major part of their culture.

It's used as part of the cuisine, sometimes, even medicinally, and it has a whole load

of rules, signals, and customs attached to it.

Tea is offered to show respect, to demonstrate apology, and to celebrate or show gratitude.

The teas most commonly served in authentic Chinese restaurants are oolong, green tea,

jasmine tea, and pu-erh.

If the restaurant you're in makes a point of offering tea to you, or even insisting

that you drink it, take that as a plus.

Who Are The Other Williams Sisters? - Duration: 4:04.

Few athletes are as iconic as Venus and Serena Williams.

But did you know that the tennis pros are actually two of five sisters?

That's right: Growing up, they were raised alongside three other siblings, Yetunde, Isha,

and Lyndrea Price.

So who are they?

The Price sisters

Yetunde, Isha, and Lyndrea, lost their father, Yusef Rasheed, at a young age.

In 1979, their mother, Oracene, met Richard Williams, and they were married a year later.

Richard helped raise Oracene's daughters from her prior relationship as if they were his

own.

This included being subjected to Richard's particular brand of tough love.

According to The New York Times, Richard admitted to raising his daughters "as if they were

living in the '50s" and enforced "old-fashioned values" on them, claiming they were instilled

in him by his sharecropper father.

Not normal

After watching one tennis champion take home $40,000 after a match, Richard decided to

push Venus and Serena down a path of professional sports.

He also made sure to involve the other girls.

Isha, Yetunde, and Lyndrea were often charged with keeping track of tennis balls during

practices, feeding them into the ball machine, and then picking them up.

Even with a strict 10 p.m. bedtime that was imposed until they turned 18, as well as their

lack of social lives, the kids didn't realize how odd their situation was.

Isha later said to the New York Times,

"It wasn't until I got to college that I realized that our lives weren't what other people considered

normal."

Sisterly snub

Following her defeat at the 2017 Australian Open Women's Singles final, Venus delivered

a sweet thank you speech that quickly turned awkward, thanks to her sister Isha.

"Sister Isha, where are you?

Oh dang, she didn't come?"

Following the cringe-worthy incident, Australian tennis player Rennae Stubbs clarified the

situation for a local paper, explaining that Isha wasn't trying to be rude.

She'd just gone back to her hotel room, and was watching the speech on television.

A tragic end

The family experienced tragedy on Sept. 14, 2003 when Yetunde Price, the oldest sister,

was killed by a stray bullet while in a car with her fiancé.

Price, who was just 31, was pronounced dead after being transported to a hospital.

Robert Maxfield, an alleged member of the Southside Crips, was unsuccessfully tried

for Price's murder two times before eventually pleading "no contest" to the lesser charge

of voluntary manslaughter.

He was sentenced in 2006 to 15 years in prison.

He was granted parole in March 2018, only to be arrested a week later for violating

the terms of his release.

Aftermath

Speaking with People in 2007, Serena admitted that the subject of her sister's death was

"still hard for [her] to talk about."

The two had been close for all her life, with the mother of three occasionally working as

an assistant to Venus and Serena.

Though Yetunde traveled around the world with her sisters, she preferred to keep away from

the spotlight.

In 2016, the sisters opened the Yetunde Price Resource Center in Compton in her honor, an

organization which aims to help families and children affected by trauma.

As Serena told the Los Angeles Times,

"It meant a lot to us [...] we've been wanting to do something for years in memory of her,

especially [considering] the way it happened, a violent crime."

Out of the shadow

Take a look at Lyndrea Price's Instagram and you'll notice that her public profile has

nothing to do with tennis.

That's because she's worked hard to step out of her famous sisters' shadows and build a

successful career of her own in the field she's most passionate about - fashion.

As CEO of her own company, LP Enterprises, Lyndrea works as a brand developer, helping

new labels come to life.

Next generation

In January 2018, Serena Williams took to Instagram to pen a heartfelt note to the women in her

family, captioning a photo taken for Vogue magazine.

She wrote, "My mom raised five women (one passed) and three grandchildren.

I love this photo because we have a close bond.

This is what keeps me humble.

They are not afraid to tell me anything.

After all, I am the youngest of five."

Serena then expressed her happiness that her daughter, Alexis Olympia, whom she shares

with husband Alexis Ohanian, will grow up surrounded by strong women like Serena's mom,

sisters, and in-laws.

According to Serena, the new girl "will fit right in."
