The story behind the incredibly tall LEGO Technic Rough Terrain Crane (42082) - Duration: 1:48.

For the LEGO Technic Rough Terrain Crane

we made a color scheme with 16 different color combinations.

And we chose the red color to make it stand out the most.

We started with a sketch model and from that I worked very much with technical issues

to make it all work in to this space that the sketch model allowed me.

On the Rough Terrain Crane I'm very proud of the level of details,

for example the tools compartment in the bottom of it,

the ladder of the side and also the storage for the plates to the outriggers I'm very proud of.

One of the new functions on the Rough Terrain Crane

is turn table. It has been built up in two layers with roller in between

who makes superstructure run very smoothly.

In the LEGO Technic Rough Terrain Crane there has been a lot of challenges.

One of them has been to make it with only one motor.

And one motor is also because that you only have one battery box.

And if the battery box were for example placed in the bottom,

then you will have had this problem with that wire is going around and around.

What makes the Mobile Pile Driver interesting is that it's really authentic

and it can actually hammer down the pillars as in the real world.

so Monnerat has to use the net.

He worries about the insects disappearing,

as they play an important part in pollination and the food chain,

particularly for birds.

The situation in Switzerland is critical -

as in other Central European countries.

We shouldn't forget

that we've lost more than 90% of our marshland.

Most of it has been converted to agricultural use.

Farming is partly responsible for the decline in insects.

The wide use of pesticides in particular

is a thorn in Monnerat's side.

He sees it as a good thing that the Farmers' Association is now

calling for the protection of insects.

-Winter snowfall is vanishing from mountainsides,

as shown by satellites in orbit for over twenty years.

An image of Switzerland taken every five days

shows us virtually to the nearest metre.

110 billion observations have been analysed in Geneva.

-Each piece of data is an image

and we have converted the pixels

of these images into the presence or absence of snow.

This is the first time we have seen such precise results for Switzerland.

-The result is a map of snow cover since 1995.

In blue are regions with permanent snow,

in red are regions with almost no snow in winter.

Red has gained ground.

The area without snow has increased by 5,200 sq. km.

Permanent snow cover has declined by 2,100 sq. km.

In French-speaking Switzerland, areas with low to medium altitude

such as the Rhône valley are the worst affected.

-This is the Valais region.

If we look closely

at the Rhône valley,

areas without snow have really increased over the last 20 years.

-But snow is not disappearing everywhere.

-In Ticino,

there has been a 10% increase.

-These satellite data are a brand-new resource for researchers evaluating

the changes in snow cover across Switzerland.

Their next plan is to assess the total volume of snow lost.

Single pieces or small series are produced.

Even if it's now all about tailor-made products,

nothing works without automation.

This starts at an early stage.

An employee constructs the cabinet

on the screen, according to the customer's needs

50 years ago the company supplied furniture stores and retailers.

These days the customers are architects and builders.

Instead of two draftsmen, the company employs ten of them.

That's a new development too.

Chipboards for the cabinets

are stored in a fully automated high-shelved warehouse.

In 1971, they were stacked in the factory hall.

Most furniture elements are made on CNC machines like these.

These computer-controlled machines

build the whole piece from A to Z.

A machinist oversees the milling, boring and gluing work.

Alpnach Norm employs around 100 people -

all in Switzerland.

Despite increasing automation, the number of employees has increased.

Automation does not necessarily mean fewer jobs.

In this furniture manufacturer's case, automation helps

in turning out tailor-made products cost-effectively.

WHY I ABANDONED THIS YOUTUBE CHANNEL / A MOTOVLOG - Duration: 8:07.

okay folks I thought some of you might need an explanation of why I just

abandoned the towbar channel it didn't come easily

it was hard pretty damn hard after I got the pneumonia and I was off for a couple

of weeks this was after all of the debacle between shoot the crap and take

down turd and after all of that debacle and seeing people that we liked that was

taken sides in the issue

other people could read between the lines and hear what was going on I mean

it was plainly stated on both sides just wanted to stay away from it because we

knew that it was it was all drama based

and it was bad enough that just shoot the crap started it and screwed up

everything in our community but then after take down turd moved into

the area it really escalated everything and made it bad

and I got the pneumonia and while I was off not making videos I was you know

looking at my analytics and stuff and I really realized that this channel was

growing all on its own and it was doing time off of my older videos that I

wasn't even paying any attention to but I didn't want to bring that community

together with this community just just didn't think it was a wise decision and

now I regret that I should have just simply started doing my thing

on this on this channel but I didn't

I mean that the channel would have really blown up and done great but I

mean I have no regrets of whatever I did I did I definitely missed the thing we

had going on and the camaraderie but I also noticed that a lot of people was

tired of what it was going on I mean so many people just dropped out of our

community altogether and got rid of their channels and now as I've been

reviewing and going over people I can see that we learn from we learned a lot

from our endeavor but some people still haven't learned what they need to learn

in order to move forward and them drama channels that they've done pretty good

now I don't know what happened to take down turd but I do know I haven't seen

him around anywhere I would believe me I couldn't stand that son of a bitch and I

looked him up several times and he's his channels gone which is probably pretty

damn good because he he was not a good force in the world he was just a evil

prick and yeah I know I'm not scared to take down her at all he would be like an

ant beneath my feet now I know some of you guys did like to

take down turd that's your prerogative I don't mind you know as we all have our

own path to follow in life but I really felt like I did not want to hang out be

friendly with the people that was in these camps it's just it just didn't

feel right I do the same thing on my other channel

in drama starts I just turn away I'm not going to be involved in it you know but

I mean I think that by embracing the drama I think that that is creating hate

and I don't have any intentions to do that and that's something I loved about

this particular channel was the pet monster thing and if you guys remember

how but because a few Christmases ago when he did his his Christmas create not

hate campaigning it was a beautiful thing I mean everyone was helping and

and it was just it was just beautiful it was teamwork in purity

for others you know and then the creative outlet

was great I didn't have a role identity of it and

that was cool too I really enjoyed watching it and I don't get there's a

lot more I can say about that it's just it's just strong

if you've ever seen if you better in a farm or kept chickens then you know that

you'll have a chicken that will be born or poor become weak for some reason

and when it becomes week the other chickens all decide to start picking on

it and when they start picking on it it's

not going to be long before it's dead

and that's kinda had I felt like the people in this venue was doing they was

chicken and everybody with the mob mentality and there's two mobs and fat

decisions now

since I turned away from all of it I actually don't know

doubt them of any of that or what happened or anything

I never asked anyone actually

so I don't know I shot I thought shoots the Krampus was a goner also but they're

apparently the channel was just on hiatus in somebody's on them

and it looks like they're still just to keep him along over there feeling as

good as ever and that's okay

some people like that stuff but I know that there's also damage done to other

people unless it offers physical damage but I

know some people ended up in some bad situations of course it was up their own

choosing I you know I mean you have free will pretty well it'll never die but we

don't want to help push people over there if that's very inclination even if

their inclination is maybe just paint garner attention I don't know I know

this is not a conversation or a piece for motorcycle riding and that's okay

you can talk about anything you want to it's it's a motorcycle blog talk about

dog turds for all I care you know I just wanted to clear the air on this

back and say my piece not that I have a piece of say because I didn't have a

horse in the game other than we were one community one community / shoot the

turds and take down turd and somebody else
