What's up guys
welcome back to my channel as you can tell I'm doing a hair video today and I'm so excited to
have learned how to do my flat twist and that's what I want to share with you today
If you can see already I've already gone in with my water and spritz it a little bit and then going ahead and
detangling my hair or we call it hand detangling I think
Hand detangling my hair this prevents you from losing a lot of hair
that way you can feel where the
tangles are and then you will not be able to pull them off or you be gentle with your hair. Then finally
going ahead with my leave-in conditioner, I like using Miadi. So that's what I'm using
And then I just simply massage it through
This actually feels good when you massage your scalp. So yeah
Then I go ahead and have some hair food that's what I had at hand and then just roughly
apply it all through trying to make some rough
sections here and there. Yeah, separating and adding more oil on it
Yeah, you can use various things
If you have natural hair products, they also work very well. But if you do not have then you can use whatever you have
to do your hair. And
again massage that hair or massage that scalp
it feels awesome to actually do it and then go ahead and do your part
I want to have my part on my right on my left side
So that's what I'm going ahead to do there.
Can you tell that I do not have hair
It's like I don't have hair. My hairline just starts at some weird point but okay
That's just how I was created then going ahead and splitting all the way through the back
Of course, it's not as perfect, but I'm doing my own hair and I'm proud of myself for how far I've come.
Then you can do a
plait so that you separate the hair that you're working... working on from the one you're not working on
If you have sectioning pins, you can also do that
Then going ahead and detangling some more making sure that my hair is smooth
so I'm even using my
wide comb
yes my wide comb and then just
comb from the ends going all the way to your roots. That way you lose less hair
So let me finish up with that
And it's all good
Then here is where the part... the tricky part is. I'm going ahead and splitting my hair as you can see
It's from the part all the way down close to my I don't know goes to the face
Close to the edges. Yes. That's the word
You split like two
Pieces of hair such that you have two legs then you take your right leg
Under your left leg
As you can see then you have the left has gone to your right and then the right has gone to the left
Whatever is on the left you add a little hair onto it. That's right
I'm pinching a little more hair from
my part all the way to the edges and
then adding it to what I have on my left
then you twist again. I
hope you can see that
It's a bit tricky
Yeah, I should I should invest in a tripod. But yeah
So that's how you do it. Whatever is on your left
that's where you add a little more hair and then you try to smooth it out the best way you can
trying to keep the correct tensions such that you have
a smooth
top surface and as you can see it's a bit tricky when you have coarse hair or curly hair, but then again,
it's a very awesome hair
hair... What do we call it a hairstyle or a protective style
when you are at school, going to work when your natural yes, you have to keep those edges tucked in
are they edges?
those ends tucked in that way you be able to maintain or retain your growth.
So I'll be doing that just as I
continue doing that remember to hit that like button and subscribe to my channel and also comment down below
You know just say hello
Yeah, but yeah, hopefully you're going to be part of my little tribe and I hope I can keep you and then
let's just get on with the video
Then on the other side, I just unravel that braid
and then detangle the same thing that I did on my
Left that's what I'm doing on my right
I just finger detangle the hair and then comb it through with the wide comb
such that it's going to be smoothed out and then
finally go in to do the flat twist. Now here, I'm doing the
second method I
will still work with two legs of
hair on this side as well, but this time round
you add hair whenever you're on your right once it's on your right. You just push it over
the left side leg just like that
Yes, let me try to smooth it out a little bit for you
Just like that trying to make sure my tension is correct and like I told you it's a bit tricky
Yeah
So let's do that again
I have hair on my right and then I split some hair
from the part all the way to my edges
Just like that once I have it I just twist it
over the left side leg and then
there there we go. I think I've got the momentum now
Yeah, you can tell my righty. So yeah, it's a bit complicated. But yeah, I think I got the hang of it eventually
So that's what I'll be doing. Just whenever you come to your right you split some hair from your
from your part all the way to the edges and then you twist over the left side leg
So once you're done with both lines or both flat twists
You can fasten off with bobby pins or hair tie or a hairband and then it's all neat
You can make it all neat and that's the final. Look. I hope you enjoyed it
Thank you for watching and they're not that different but I hope you rock this style soon
It's pretty simple to do. So. I'll see you next time. Bye
