good morning everybody and welcome to the carriage house it is a cool brisk
autumn morning and I'm so excited to share a fall morning routine with you
guys it's one of my favorite times of year thank you for those who requested
this video I was so excited to do this and I'm currently working on other
requested videos such as pantry organization and more baking and cooking
recipes so those will be out soon and if you're new here I'm so glad you're here
I normally wake up about 7:30 on a weekday morning so just right after my
husband leaves for work so my one-year-old son wakes up around 6:00 or
so so my husband will give them juice and some fruit and put him in his
playpen right before he leaves which helps so much so I can get the rest just
extra rest that I may need for that day so when I wake up around 7:30 I'm very
eager to see you
so I start my fall morning routine by putting a kettle on the stove to make
the spiced chai tea which I absolutely love this time of year I've been really
loving teenies chai tea if you have not heard of them they're a healthy
lifestyle tea that formulates their own tea to help with detox and somnium
digestion just a lot of things but my absolute favorite is their chai tea it's
so aromatic and it's very authentic to me and it comes in these little cute
sachet bags which I'll absolutely love but they're offering you guys a 15%

I'll of purchasing teas from this company because they give you this
little tea infuser for free and you can dip it into your tea but I've been using
this falling leaves tea I did get from the Amish community it's it's definitely
needs to be replenished but I use that in there but but I with this tea with
the chai tea often pour almond milk or soy milk along with a little bit of
cinnamon honey or regular honey is fine and it is just so delicious
and it just it's just so warm and perfect for an autumns day
and by this time I oldest son and daughter awake so they play with and
watch my son my one-year-old son while I set up so I didn't sit on my spiced chai
tea I like to spend this few minutes of quiet times just silently pray and ask
for patience perseverance everything I need for this I've become at home school
day and I just seek guidance to help me keep my children safe healthy and happy
on this particular day so before I go back inside I quickly check on the
chickens my oldest son which is 7 has already unlocked Earls gate which is
this rooster right here it's one of his morning chores so I just come out here
in the mornings make sure they have food and water for this day
but something happened that particular morning that was different from other
mornings we actually found a little cat yesterday afternoon hanging around her
house and thankfully he had a collar on and an ID tag on him so I was able to
contact his owners and they were so excited that we rescued him he stayed in
our little our little Morton building overnight we gave him fresh food and
water and we had this little cat hotel a little thing that my husband built a
while back it just doesn't fit in her house that it was perfect for him and I
miss a little guy his name is Oliver but so now I'm back inside making a pot of
warm oatmeal for my kids on this chilly fall morning and I've made into a habit
to just clean as I go because it just it really does make a difference especially
since me and the kids are home all day and and messes happened so fast but
effect if I clean as I go it just it helps prevent these huge messes later on
and I love adding the classic flavors of autumn to oatmeal which is cinnamon
brown sugar sometimes I even add pumpkin spice to it
and I love to add a little bit of soy milk or almond milk just to make it
extra creamy and my kids love it it's healthy it just helps them get their
keep their bellies full too for a while

so after we've eaten breakfast I fill up my large mason jar full of water that I
sip on throughout the morning just to keep me awake and hydrated and then I'll
just start making up our beds

and I usually like to keep some toys in our room for my one-year-old so he'll
stay busy for a while so I can get some morning chores soon

and then they'll start getting him dressed for the day and my seven and
nine year old also get dressed and brushed their teeth during this time and
they will do their morning chores as well
my son is responsible for unloading the dishwasher every morning as well as
opening our roosters gate and my daughter who is nine she makes sure all
of our indoor pets are fed and she sets her table at night as well and of course
they are responsible for tightening of their rooms and putting dishes in the
dishwasher and things like that them so after I get my one-year-old dressed I
will go ahead and start brushing his teeth or attempting to brush his teeth
and and then I'll go ahead and start making up all my kids beds for them
we'll never be the same after that day

so now I'm ready to get myself ready for the day so I like to wash my face and do
my facial routine I use of a DAB and using a beta for so long now from like
15 or 20 years and I just make sure I get all that done I also like to put a
little bit of makeup on during the day just help me feel alive and human and I
don't like to get into the routine of just staying in my pajamas all day and
then just you know it just makes me feel really tired so I try to do what I can
to get prepared for the day I usually take a shower the night before
so it's about 8:30 now and we usually start homeschooling between 9:00 and
9:30 so I have some time to go ahead and get something in the crock-pot for
dinner for tonight so we have our potatoes from our garden this year and
I'm so excited because it was a really good harvest so I'm going to peel these
potatoes and dice them and put them into our slow cooker so I can mash them later
for mashed potatoes and I will have a meatloaf I will make a meatloaf
for to go along with mashed potatoes I'm not a huge meat-eater I was vegetarian
for like 15 20 years but my my daughter my son all my guys they love they love
meat so I want to make sure they're satisfied and I just want to make sure
everybody's happy so
so after I put the potatoes in the crock-pot I looked at the time and
actually had quite a bit of time left and my kids were playing and everybody
was happy nobody was getting upset or anything so I ended up making these
balance breaks you can buy the store but I tend to make my own so I slice up
white cheddar and then I get almonds and cranberries and I put them into
individual little jars or whatever and then I put them in the refrigerator and
that way they are ready for anybody who wants them for throughout the week and
it just makes snack time go a lot easier and I don't have as much work to do
throughout the week
I was also able to cut and wash and store our strawberries we just bought at
the store it seems like my kids tend to eat their fruit and vegetables that
they're already sliced peeled wash etcetera
so it's about nine o'clock now and doing some toddler time before my on your old
gunner takes a nap and then we're ready to start our school a
