Waching daily Oct 9 2018

we as a society have created Jake Paul right yeah all right

what is up everybody this is Chris from the rewired soul where we talk about the

problem but focus on the solution and this is my beautiful mother dr. kerry

Randazzo say hi all right so I don't know if this video is gonna be edited so

we're gonna try to do this in one take I'm in California right now my mom just

watch the new Shane Dawson episode with me what is it the world of Jake Paul my

mom she has a PhD in psychology so I was like yo girl won't you come over here

and talk to me about this and we have the positive million times because she

had a lot of questions about who Jake Paul is who Shane Dawson is and things

like that so without further ado let's get started so I put this to my mom

about the whole sociopath idea and like so first first let's talk about you

mentioned something called OD d oppositional disorder okay so explain to

these people what is why like what is this oppositional defiance disorder

that's a disorder that's not a personality disorder okay so it's just a

disorder where people act out okay young people normally they're oppositional so

it's kind of it's States kind of what it is oppositional defiance disorder they

do that like a problem with authority they don't like people tell them what to

do so a lot of young people have that even if they're not yeah if they kept

from yeah yeah yeah it's something I was telling you and I told my audience like

some people don't need a diagnosable disorder to just be a jerk we don't

always have to pathologize everybody yeah that kind of worries me

yeah no no that's one of the reasons that I make my videos and make my

channel like I feel a lot of words are overused like like have you ever met

somebody who like yeah yeah anxious or I'm depressed

have you met somebody who likes to keep their desk a certain way and they say oh

I'm so OCD here I got my desk yeah right anal yeah

yeah so so that's kind of what this whole thing seems like it's becoming but

this episode I'm gonna do another recap so make sure you subscribe and ring the

notification bell but this is me talking my professional psychologist mother I

wrote down some notes those of you who know I like a notepad so mom watching

that you were talking about positive reinforcement can you talk about a

little bit just about just this is your first introduction to Jake Paul can you

talk can you talk a little bit about positive reinforcement and Jake Paul

okay so first time I've seen his video never heard his name and more walking up

to his home right so I look at you and I said cuz he but was he born rich and you

said no he's made money off of his videos I think you said to me yeah and I

start laughing because oh and then it shows a clip of him starting fire around

himself oh god it's already in flames

oh yeah what about the mac and cheese oh and then he throws mac and cheese on his

mother's girlfriend something like that and I said how many of us would make mac

and cheese and throw it on our darn grandmother if we're gonna get a house

like that right right really jump to 30 boxes I think you did

it what a monster what we're talking about so like yeah we were kind of

laughing cuz it seems like we try to overanalyze everything and like over

there sociopath or they do something in our system all this other stuff but like

just based on how the human brain works right and how our brains are wild like

this positive reinforcement like we even if it's not me and you my mom and I were

talking about like we as a society have created Jake Paul right yeah like the

guy goes and does insane stuff he gets millions of views millions of dollars so

he is learning that oh when I do these things I get rewarded for it he said

he's taking a vacation because it's tiring thinking of the next thing to do

yeah and he's trying to up his game over and yeah that's that's just you know my

mom and I were both in recovery but that's how it is we're always looking

for more and more and more right there's never enough money there's never enough

attacks but a lot of people have these trades so kind of what we're talking

about is like I said even if it's not me and you directly but our society has

created people like Jake Paul because we feed into that something I was talking

to my mom about though like I'm the father

clearly she she's a parent because I came from her but like Jake Paul's

audience is largely children right so the fact that parents are letting them

watch it Paul parents are buying Jake Paul's merch for their kids like what is

stopping Jake from doing this like that's kind of help like he's not having

any negative reinforcement yeah why would I stop yeah if it's if I'm being

positive reinforcement means I'm adding something to to make your behavior

continue yeah right but if so so what would what would be negative

reinforcement in this scenario like he did something crazy and then stopped

watching him yeah by his murse yeah so he released a video and didn't

get any any views or any merch his brain would probably connect and say oh well

why would I keep doing it yeah why would I do that

getting negative all right Riley negative means so taken away and that's

kind of interesting so like is and this is there's a little bit of a

philosophical question is Jake Paul the problem do you think or do you think

society's the problem I think it's probably a mixture of both good because

then I heard some other stuff yeah you know his family he's divorced his father

yeah you're gonna feel bad for Jake Paul though oh I like Jake you putting here

first Jake Paul if you're watching my mother I

think she even called him cute okay so something my mom and and by the way you

guys in the comments below I'm trying to get my mom to move to Las Vegas to start

doing YouTube videos with me and here's one of the reasons why I've been

watching this she brings up and I wrote this down long as you can see Kohlberg's

stages of morality can you explain this to me what is this it just means that

and I have to get into it I mean I'm just gonna break it down really two

minutes a developmental stage that we all go through is from childhood really

young uh-huh to adulthood that we move from one stage of moral why we do right

and wrong uh-huh what is right and wrong how we grow up and why we follow rules

and sometimes we get stuck in a stage so you're not because you're antisocial

yeah yeah because I explained to my mom the whole antisocial personality

disorder and stuff like that but like what we're kind of talking about is like

Jake is pretty much a adult child right so my mom just so you know specializes

in addiction do you see this a lot with people with addictions like they say

that yeah when we start drinking and using like we stop maturing emotional

emotional yet stunted and he sees that's why I said he's a little cutie because

he's probably in his early 20s yeah he's like 21 but his spirit or his emotional

just from looking I'm not making a diagnosis he seemed younger than his

stated age yes Yeah right so so yeah and that's the thing too like when we're

talking about these things it might not be some diagnosable disorder but there's

a reason why he isn't acting like an adult right is that kind of mixer I

should he have to yeah what should he have to

so when we were talking about this and like and by the way save some of it

because we're gonna make I'm doing three videos with my mom told them we're gonna

do another one about sociopaths my mom has interesting stories anyways but you

knew about you know kind of the dialogue or the storyline that was like easy a

sociopath but there was one scene where they talked about one of the Eckstein

ten members like pretty much stole a YouTube account

change the passwords and Jake was talking to Shane and he said that he

gave somebody his second account like Ryu is that like you said oh that's nice

like right he in fact he was talking about how he gave people homes money to

join him and I'm like that's a giving person if anything he might have a

little what we call codependency yeah you know he enables people until they do

you think like yeah so yeah but like what I try to do all of you know this

cuz you subscribe to me all of you know like I try to take these situations and

try to teach the audience about it like do you think maybe Jake gives people so

many things just so people hang around with him actually has friends I don't

know that I couldn't tell by looking at how do you do you know do you know of

people who do that of course yeah so like that's something just he said I

want my parents to be proud yeah so he's looking for you know he does a lot of

his things as he wants people to be proud of them yeah so yeah something

that just everybody should look at Mike's I know I've had personal

experience with that in the past like oh well if I just buy my friends things

then people want to hang out with me you know what I mean so there might there

might when I diagnose in any codependency up in here but there might

be some of that going on but the last the last thing so I explained to my mom

you know the Katie Morin situation she's a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

save some of it for the next video but like what we were talking about does it

seem in your opinion did it seem like Kati Morton might have had some bias

like deal did you feel did you feel that she was she

had a preconceived notion like we're going with this sociopath kind of

storyline was she trying to do think that there was a little bit of bias and

she might have been putting him in that box

based on some things like oh he said this or he said that well I don't want

to cut her down because I really didn't see that much of her yeah but she was

looking for tendencies yes so of course I mean she wasn't going in a blank slate

going let me just see some quality she said oh he exhibited this yeah I did see

this or I was waiting for this so so maybe we have to watch when we're

evaluating somebody that we have what we call a blank kind of a slate yeah

so let me ask you this this is just interesting it just popped in my head so

like my mom does some assessments for the judicial system for people but like

do you think like does it alter her opinion like Jake Paul like I know you

didn't know who Jake Paul is like Katie Lauren as a youtuber she knows who Jake

Paul is do you think she's automatically going to have a bias because she already

knows who he is because like in the courts I'm like do do like what a

psychologist have any kind of bias like if there was a celebrity who was on

trial like does that make sense we could we have to watch where we're coming from

constantly yeah so we have to watch what we call transference and

countertransference in the world and knowing you and evaluating yeah so we

just have to keep everything in Jeff

so so yeah like we're saying it's not saying that Katie did have any kind of

bias but it's just something to kind of be mindful of like those of you who have

been watching my entire series on this like I love Katie I think she's a great

therapist and everything like that but it's just something to kind of take into

consideration that there might be some bias going on like but it does seem to

me and I will make more videos on this it does seem to me like Shane's just

starting to understand and I think this is a growing experience for Shane I've

just got tosses in here where he's starting to realize that you don't have

to slap a diagnosis on everybody you don't have to put all us like what does

it pathologize yes everything is this disorder like some people are just

raised a certain way some people are jerks some people have different morals

you know all sorts of stuff because one thing that my mom and I were talking

about off-camera it's like it's kind of a serious thing to throw a disorder

especially a personality disorder on somebody but yeah anyways that is my my

mother's reaction to the world of Jake Paul so thanks and yeah we comments down

below let us know what your thoughts are and if you like this video give them a

thumbs up tell them to subscribe to my channel mom oh subscribe to his YouTube

channel ring those notification bells you heard it from my mother

alright Weiwei's thank you so so much for watching I will be making some more

videos on the California right now but subscribe because when I get back on and

my good computer there will be editing and all sorts of amazing stuff alright

thanks for watching we'll see you next time

September Wrap Up Pt. 2 | 2018 | Kendra Winchester - Duration: 11:52.

Hello, I'm Kendra Winchester welcome back to my channel. And today we're gonna be

talking about the second half of my September wrap-up. I ended up splitting

my wrap up into graphic novels and comics and novels, so this is the novel

portion slash, well, there's some memoirs here. I guess prose books....? I don't know.

The first one I have is one I read for my around-the-world book club,

and that is a THREE DOG LIFE by Abigail Thomas. This is not about dogs, which I'm

very thankful for because when it came in Sam was like, "Don't read that please."

Don't read that because he knows I just fall apart when I read those dog dies in

the end of books. I've ranted about this before, but this is not about the

dogs. This is about the author Abigail and her husband had an accident, and he

had a severe brain injury. And He was just never the same, and he has been

living care from the accident forward. It's just her experiencing life as a

caregiver as someone who is caring for someone who went through such a

difficult thing and how she related to that and her feelings around that. I feel

like we don't give caregivers enough credit. You know when you are a family

member caring for another family member or a friend, or however that works out;

it's just a lot of emotion because you are emotionally connected to this person,

but you also have to care for them but you also want your own life. And you feel

like you're a horrible person because you say well I don't want to care for

that person right now. I need some me time. And as, you know, a sick person

who has a caregiver, and who has had several caregivers—you know what—I want

people to understand how difficult it is and how much I admire the caregivers in

my own life. And how it's important that we give caregivers the space they need

to be selfish, but not selfish. To be well aware and just take care of

themselves because they're not only watching someone they love be sick; they

have to care for that person and they have mixed feelings about it because

sometimes we can be—I'm just gonna say for sick people—we can be a bit much.

You know, so I really appreciate that memoir. I'm actually gonna send a copy to

my mom, and I'm hoping she's behind on my videos so she doesn't know that this is

coming in the mail, but yeah, I because I think

it's something that we need to talk more about, and here's a beautiful memoir. It's

actually like blurbed by Stephen King and says that this is one of his . . . what is

this? Here, it says, "The best memoir I've ever read. This book is a punch

to the heart. Read it." Nice, Stephen. That's great. The next book I have is

also a memoir, and that is WHEN THEY CALL YOU A TERRORIST: A Black Lives Matter

Memoir by Patrisse Khan-Cullors and Asha Bendele with a foreword by Angela Davis.

This is by one of the cofounders of the black lives matter movement, and if

you're like me, you know about the current status of the black lives

matter movement. Like, you know, you've seen it in the news and other things,

but I didn't really know where it came from or who the founders were. I just

knew it was a thing, and I knew why the black lives matter movement started. But

there's just a lot of fog around that, and I feel like this is a beautiful

memoir and look at what the co-founders about her life. And really where her

activism comes from her perspective and how the black lives matter movement was

stirring long before it was founded. And why it's needed, and I think she did

a great job of illustrating her own perspective, so if you have questions

about the black lives matter movement or wondering, you know, kind of who founded

it or where it came from or why it's so important, I would definitely recommend

reading this memoir. This is out from St. Martin's, and I got it on Book Outlet. Not

sure if it's still there, but it is so beautifully made. Like, those end papers

are just gorgeous, and you all know I'm a sucker for a good end papers. So yeah,

definitely check out this one. Sachi from @SachiReads reviews it on one of the

episodes of Reading Women. I will link that down below so you go check it out.

Also check her out on Instagram @SachiReads. She also has a corgi, so I

see no reason why you shouldn't go follow her. [Laughs] So the next book I want to

tell you about is CRUDO by Olivia Laing. I'm gonna hold this up here. The light is

not friendly, but this is up from Norton here in the U.S. And I really love this

type of book. It's a stylized autofiction

and it's more about how she's

telling the story about this protagonist that's sort of her, but sort of not. I will

link down to an interview with Olivia Laing down below

where you can see she talks about the process of how she wrote this book,

how the rules she created for herself, and just a lot of different

behind-the-scenes things that are very interesting if you love this type of

book. This book is definitely a Kendra book. I love this type of stylized

writing and the vein of, like, British women authors doing this type of thing.

You guys know I love Ali Smith and different authors like that so this is

what that is, and I found it very interesting because it is autofiction.

And it's there's no plot really. It's just set during this little segment of

time and her experience and her thoughts and her feelings about contemporary

politics and events going on. I don't think this book will age very well

because you have to kind of be living in the moment this is a great commentary on

the now from a British perspective—a certain type of British perspective, I

should say. At the same time I felt that she was trying to be very very very very

clever and trying to say, "Look how look how meaningful I am! Look how clever I am!"

And I'm like, yes you are profound. Yes, you are clever, but why are you telling

me I'm profound and I'm clever? You don't need to do that. Your book speaks for

itself. So sometimes I found that very frustrating because I felt like she was

trying so hard to be intelligent and to write a smart book, which she did, but um

I shouldn't see the woman behind the curtain when she does that.

So I think this is a good representation of this type of book, but it does have

some flaws. I don't think she entirely carries it off, but I still would

recommend it if you like a very stylized type of autofiction like this. I think

it's the perfect kind of book for you if that is your style. So yeah, which I found

very interesting. The next book I read is MR. FLOOD'S LAST RESORT by Jess Kidd. This

book is called THE HOARDER in the U.K. I don't know why. I don't know why. Now I

will say, this book is very easy to spoil, so I'm going to tell you very little

about it. And I can't really even review it much without spoilers and that's

because Jess Kidd writes mystery books with a supernatural elements. And that

supernatural element is always a surprise, or at least it should be. And

so, I loved HIMSELF by Jess Kidd, and it's a mystery book is actually historical and

set in Ireland this one set in England and it's also a mystery.

It's about Maude, who works for, like, a caregiving kind of company, and she is

assigned to Mr. Flood, who has a house and he is a hoarder, and she uncovers

mysteries while she's got cleaning out the house. It's just a really delightful

fall book, and then you add the supernatural element on top of that and

it's just really interesting and surprisingly complex in places. And it

feels like the perfect balance of sinister and spooky but delightful at

the same time, So unfortunately I came across the review that did spoil the

supernatural element in this book, and I felt like that definitely didn't help

the reading experience very much. I remember being very delighted when I was

reading HIMSELF, and I just came across this thing that happened, and I was like,

"Oh that's so cool!" It was so surprising, and this supernatural element is

different and would have been equally surprising if I had read it in the book first.

So so be very careful wandering around the internet if you haven't read this

book yet. There could be spoilers because it's incredibly easy to spoil and many

people probably don't even know they're spoiling the book because it is that

kind of book. So I'm not gonna say anything else about this book besides

the fact it's the perfect fall read and you should probably go read it if you

haven't already. Also check out HIMSELF, which is also amazing.

The last book I have to talk to you about is THREE THINGS ABOUT ELSIE by Joanna Cannon.

And this is the author of THE TROUBLE WITH GOATS AND SHEEP, which came out two years

ago. I think this is about Florence and she's 83 or 84 years old living in what

we would call an assisted living facility here in the U.S. But she's living

over in England. I'm not really sure how their system works, so I think that's

comparable. But her best friend is a woman named Elsie. And so Florence has fallen

on the floor, and we are going through flashbacks that she's telling you while

we're kind of all stuck on the floor here with her. And you understand there's

a mystery behind that and how she ended up on the floor and there's a

lot of details of her life that she goes through while telling you this story. And

then we flashed to like the present, and it gives us like a timestamp of how long

she's been on the floor and different things. I really appreciated how Joanna

Cannon tackles the ageism in this book. You know, I love the characters in

this book. Florence, in particular, is just delightful to read about. I feel like

in Western culture we are so disrespectful to the elderly. We treat

them like children, and we don't respect their wisdom or honor them for the life

that they lived. And that's something that really bothers me. I've had

grandparents live with me on different occasions. Or, I should say, my family. My parents

have taken care of more than one of my grandparents, and watching my

grandparents and living in close proximity to them has really given me a

great respect for older people. And my parents used to volunteer as leaders of

the senior citizens group, and I as a kid would go on these vacations with bunch

of senior citizens, and it was like having so many amazing grandma and

grandpa's around. Being the only kid of course I was very spoiled,

but as a ten year old that's great. [Laughs] So I really love and respect older

people, and I don't understand why we are the way we are and why ageism is such a

huge problem. Except society tells us young and beautiful is best,

which is not actually true. There's a lot of wisdom that we're missing. That

aside, I didn't think that this book was executed as well as THE TROUBLE WITH

GOATS AND SHEEP. There's a twist at the end that I saw from almost page one, and I

buddy read this with Jaclyn Masters, and she also saw it. I'll put her review

up above my head and down below. so you can go check it out.

But I just don't think the execution of this book was as good as THE TROUBLE

WITH GOATS AND SHEEP. I found it kind of predictable and kind of too sentimental

and sappy. Well, I want that book to be like that. I want this book to be

like that because that's the kind of book. It is it just was kind of over the

top this time for me. So while I love the characters more in this book than

THE TROUBLE WITH GOATS AND SHEEP, I don't think the execution was as well done.

I still want to read what she writes next, so I mean it really depends on you if

you think that this is a book that you will enjoy and want to try reading or if

this is a book that you would rather skip or wait to hear more reviews about

it. It really depends on you, I think. So that's is THREE THINGS ABOUT ELSIE by Joanna

Cannon, and those are the books that I read in September. Thank you so much for

watching this video. I greatly appreciate it. If you have read any of these books

definitely let me know your thoughts down in the comments down below.

And I guess I will see you in the next one—bye, guys!

Oh yes, as you're seeing, it's amazing, I did not believe it, now we can play

to a lot of more games on your Android, Well, from what I researched, and I understood

is basically a 3DS emulator for Android, but, not so fast, the emulator is not compatible

with all Android devices, because it's an emulator that requires a lot of resources,

which a simple cell phone does not have, but, if your cell phone is of medium high range,

it's likely that if you can download it, but, same as many games and applications in

beta, it's very likely that they get an update to be able to download it in devices

medium or low range, well, you know, link in the description!

With nothing more to add, I leave you the review, Go!

How gummy bear implants improved breast augmentation?Dr Hourglass - Duration: 4:49.

Hi, this is Dr. Hourglass, and welcome to another video in our channel Wonder Breasts.

Today we are going to discuss: How gummy bear implants improved breast augmentation?

In this channel we discuss everything related to breast surgery.

Welcome back!

Gummy bear implants have drastically improved breast augmentation.

The highly cohesive silicone gel inside the shell gives the breasts a more natural appearance

than saline implants.

Gummy bear implants feature shape memory, meaning they can retract back to their original shape

in case of any movement; hence decreasing the risk of implant rippling or folding.

Gummy bear implants are highly resistant to ruptures and leaks.

They retain their integrity and shape in the face of undue pressure.

Moreover, the cohesive silicone gel remains distributed inside the shell as it was originally designed.

This makes the implant highly stable, with sufficient support and good shape.

The risk of capsular contracture is lower in gummy bear implants.

The best thing about this implant is that the cohesive gel lets the surgeon easily create

an aesthetically appealing breast shape with it.

Furthermore, the process needed to use the gummy bear implant for breast augmentation

has led to more innovations and progress in breast augmentation.

For example, choosing the ideal gummy bear breast implant size and shape is extremely important

because the stable form feature of the implant means it cannot be molded according

to the shape of the breasts.

Instead, the implants will shape the breast.

It is for this reason that the right size and shape of the gummy bear implant should be selected.

In order to achieve better aesthetic results with gummy bear implants, it is important for the surgeon

to create an implant pocket that perfectly accommodates the implant.

A large implant pocket increases the risk of implant rotation, whereas a smaller pocket

may not allow the implant to sit properly.

It is important, therefore, to choose your surgeon carefully.

The slight firmness of the gummy bear implants makes it the favorite of many patients and surgeons.

This quality is critical to making the implants function for the purpose they are intended for.

Softer implants lose their shape and stability rather quickly, which change the shape of the breasts.

Gummy bear implants are not too hard or firm.

They are designed to look and feel natural when inside the breasts.

However, there are also softer versions of gummy bear implants available in the market.

For example, the Mentor CPG and the Sientra breast implants are somehow softer

than the most popular Style 410 gummy bear implant from Allergan.

The fact is that the Style 410 is ideally designed and features a good ratio of softness

and firmness that can give your breasts natural shape.

In this video, we discussed: How gummy bear implants improved breast augmentation?

Next week we will discuss: Size and shapes of gummy bears implants.

This is what an engineering exam looks like in India | JEE Advanced paper - Duration: 10:10.

Hey, so here I am with another exam unboxing video. On all of my previous exam videos

I was met with some comments from Indian viewers who would say, this is too easy

compared to the exams we do here in India, and specifically people mentioned the JEE

advanced paper as being a much tougher exam than the American, European and Australian ones that I was covering.

So thanks to those comments today I am coming after the JEE advanced paper. Now this is the

2006 (*2016) copy I'll link it down in the description

along with the solutions because all of these past papers are actually available online. This is a paper

that would be sat by high school students trying to get into some of India's

engineering colleges and it stands for the Joint Entrance Examination.

So it's a bit of a beast of a paper,

it's pretty thick and it covers physics, chemistry and mathematics, and just taking a quick glance at it from here

it seems to really cover, you know,

all the fundamentals of those three disciplines, and

you know, wants to test you on what would be the basis of knowledge to go on and study engineering.

I'm going to have a look through some of the questions and just see if it lives up to the hype from people who have

been commenting on my channel and I'm also, at the end of this video, going to compare it to this paper,

which is a physics exam from New Zealand and it's what high school students there would sit if they wanted to go on and do

engineering at university.

So I'll see sort of how the Indian standard compares to what I would consider standard for high school students in Australia and New Zealand.

Also for my next video I'd like to fully work through the solution to one of the JEE

advanced questions. So if there's a particular question you'd like me to do for that next video,

leave it down in the comments and without any further delay, let's have a look at the paper. Alright, here we are

so the first thing that strikes me is that well, everything is multiple choice,

so the exam's got that going for it. And then there's the marking scheme,

so it looks like we get three marks for a correct answer,

zero if we don't attempt and

minus one marks if we get it wrong. Now that is really harsh and you know

exams like that where you get negative marks are really

discouraging from just you know, trying to have a guess

but it's also very

discouraging and very nerve-racking because you're always doubting yourself because there's so much at stake. You don't want to get the answer wrong.

So let's have a look,

I think we're starting off with some quite easy questions, this is the physics section and this first question here

looks like it's just got to do with the photoelectric effect. And really that would be as simple as just

plugging some of these numbers into one formula, so easy so far.

We have sort of similar type questions,

I think this question here is another just one formula that you'll need to know relating to the specific heat of water.

And then another pretty easy question here about a guess Snell's law and the reflection of light.

We've got a question here about an infinite line of charge,

this in particular is not something that I did at high school, but instead at first-year university

physics, learning how to do things like Gauss's law and finding out, you know,

the distribution of charge along different shaped objects.

So this, if you're having to derive the laws from scratch, is a little bit more advanced than I would have seen at school.

Moving on to question two now and it looks like things are getting even more

high-stakes, negative marks are minus two for all wrong answers. So yeah, probably be sweating by this point.

We've got some questions about nuclear physics,

soundwaves,

lenses and radiation and even some

thermodynamics. We've got a conceptual question about some

electromagnetism and even some vector

calculus. Then we've got section three on the physics section and it changes a little bit here instead of being multiple choice,

it looks like there's a single digit integer for each answer and some of these are a little bit more involved.

I do sort of feel that by the end of this physics section

we've covered material that, yes,

I definitely learned at my first-year university course.

I think from my experience with Australia and New Zealand,

this depth of physics isn't necessarily taught at high school

but it's because it doesn't have to be. I think the issue is that

engineering in India is such a competitive field or to get into the colleges are so competitive that

you really need to be at the top of your game and studying for exams like this JEE

to get a spot. I guess in Australia in New Zealand

I felt a little bit luckier in that we do I feel end up learning the same content

but it comes at a little bit of a later stage because getting into university itself is not so competitive.

The real work can really start once you get there rather than before you walk in the door.

We're moving on to chemistry here, which I personally haven't done since high school, but it looks like a bit of a similar thing.

We've got some negative marks for wrong answers a few

sort of questions where I guess if you've practiced this kind of thing and you know the

formulas and you know how to work through some of these easier questions

this should be okay. But, you know, this section and even the physics section, I do have a physics degree

but I'd need to do some study to be able to pass this

because it really focuses on the details and a very broad range of details. Details that you would only remember if you are

trying to remember them for something like an exam.

I think one of the hardest things about this exam just by looking at it was the sheer quantity of information,

it is so broad. It covers so many different areas and it looks like you're having to do it all at once so

for that reason this does look like a very, I guess, taxing exam. It does look difficult

i'll give it that, like I'm not going to say this is an easy and

especially for high school students.

It's you know, if you're passing this and getting a good grade on this, that's really quite impressive. So here's the mathematics section,

it looks like the mathematics section is pretty strong and you know pretty difficult.

I would say that the notation and the type of questions is more something I would expect to see at an Australian university

course rather than testing high school students to get in, with that being said, I feel that in mathematics

difficulty is relative to what you've been exposed to.

Sometimes questions are not inherently harder than other questions

it just depends on what order you've been learning them in and what content you've been focusing on in class.

So it's really hard to compare that relative difficulty because I can only assume that

this is what's being taught in a school in India for students who are wanting to sit this exam.

But I know it probably also does take a lot of self-study as well. There's a lot of material in this exam.

We do have a bit of mathematical analysis as well, which is impressive to see and getting into linear algebra and matrices.

Those were something that I personally again didn't see until university

but it depends on the order you're learning them in how difficult they'll be to you.

We've got what looks like a quite advanced geometry problem,

and something about a differential equation.

So that was the last page and and let's just have a little comparison with the New Zealand

physics paper for high school students who would be graduating and going on to university. The New Zealand papers are

separated up into lots of different modules, so this paper here only deals with electrical systems.

So this is really just to show you how it's going to look different. In New Zealand exams often

it's not multiple choice

but short answers and long answers focusing more on explaining questions and actually using your

communication skills and English and writing,

rather than just doing the pure calculation. For this question here is one set-up with several questions that follow on from it,

this is a difference to the Indian exam where everything is much more

segmented and there are just lots of

individual questions which are not really related to each other. So overall I think that studying for this

JEE advanced paper will take a lot of time,

that's because it is so broad and there are so many questions that you need to know how to do and

do well because you don't want to lose marks.

I think that doing well on an exam like this is going to take a lot of practice, a lot of practice

not just remembering formula about how to use them and actually how to

think and adjust to the way that the questions will differ slightly from whatever the practice material is.

So if you have done this exam, you've done well on it or even just attempted it i'd say well done to you

because it definitely would take a lot of study. I'm not really a fan of

saying that one

country's exams are harder than any others because I think it's sort of relative and it kind of evens out in the end.

You might learn more stuff up front but what matters in the end is

understanding of some of these engineering concepts and the ability to go on to use them in creative ways to

do great work in the world. So I hope that was a good insight into this exam

and like I said, I will do a full work through of one of the questions in my next video

so if there's a question that you'd really like me to do just leave it as a comment.

Thanks for watching and I'll see you next time.

How Seeing AI narrates the world (Audio Description) - Duration: 3:17.

SATYA NADELLA: Hi. I'm here with Anne Taylor

from our Accessibility team, and Anne,

you're going to talk to us about how

you use AI in your daily life.

ANNE TAYLOR: Absolutely, Satya.

So, Seeing AI is an ongoing research project

that uses AI for computer vision to enhance

the understanding and the perception of the

physical environment for the

blind and individual with low vision.

And this app has been available for free on

the iOS App Store for over a year now.

And our customers have found it to be a

valuable tool for interacting with

their physical environment.

Isn't that great?

SATYA NADELLA: That's awesome.

And I know you yourself use it every day.

So, you want to show us how you use it, yeah?

ANNE TAYLOR: Sure, absolutely.

This app has nine channels.

So, each of them offers specialized features

such as identifying product

by using barcode scanner.

Let me show you.

SATYA NADELLA: All right.

ANNE TAYLOR: So, I have the

Seeing AI set as on the product channel.

And I will scan the barcode.

COMPUTER: Processing. Microsoft Surface Dial.

SATYA NADELLA: That's pretty cool.

So, you were just able to switch channels,

and then change to the product channel and

put an object in front of it, and it recognized it.

ANNE TAYLOR: Yes, indeed.

SATYA NADELLA: That's great.

ANNE TAYLOR: So, I would like to

show you the one that

I use most is Short Text Channel.

So, first let me switch to it.

COMPUTER: Share button. Channel.

Person. Document. Short Text.

Anne Taylor.

Supportability Director, accessibility.

Microsoft Corporation.

SATYA NADELLA: That's so cool.

COMPUTER: Anne Taylor.

SATYA NADELLA: You even had the card

backwards and it was able to just read it.

ANNE TAYLOR: Yes, indeed.

By the way, it's a typical occurrence for me --

SATYA NADELLA: For sure.

ANNE TAYLOR: -- to read business card upside down.

SATYA NADELLA: No, I can quite imagine.

And can you then even take

handwriting and recognize it as well?

ANNE TAYLOR: Yes. And this is really

meaningful to me, personally because

for the first time ever,

I can use this app to independently read

personal notes that's written to me

from my family and my loved one.

SATYA NADELLA: Let me –

let's give it a try, huh? Let me --

ANNE TAYLOR: Sure.

SATYA NADELLA: I mean, and this might

be a real test of this app --

ANNE TAYLOR: Yes.

SATYA NADELLA: -- because if it can

read my handwriting, anything is possible.

All right.

ANNE TAYLOR: All set?

SATYA NADELLA: Yes.

ANNE TAYLOR: Let me go ahead

and switch to that channel.

COMPUTER: Channel, Currency.

Scene preview. Color preview.

Handwriting preview.

ANNE TAYLOR: I will take a photo

and figure out what you wrote here.

COMPUTER: Take picture.

Take -- processing.

"Accessibility is awesome".

ANNE TAYLOR: Yes, accessibility

is awesome indeed.

SATYA NADELLA: Absolutely, we could

agree on that. And to see you use

this application, the fact that we have this

ever-growing list of channels and the

powers it brings to you, and to be able to put

it to everyday use and empower people

to be able to do more with technology,

so it's fantastic.

Thank you very much for showing

us this application in use.

ANNE TAYLOR: Thank you very much, Satya.

Let's celebrate accessibility.

SATYA NADELLA: All right.

Herding Geese with the Drone & Moving Pigs - Duration: 7:21.

hi I'm Mike and today we do things a little bit differently as we heard some

animals with the drone but not the ones you think and we move our pigs to their

new apartment on the project list on our Wyoming Life

back when my father-in-law Gilbert was around he cared about two things the

cows and the cats he was a huge fan of the cats in fact later in his life they

became the one thing he knew that he could take care of as illness slowed him

down he couldn't work with the cows anymore but the cats they were always

waiting for him every day when he came to visit the ranch the more I think of

it the more he may have been onto something not cats in particular but the

importance of under other animals out on the ranch the ranch is not just cows

alone as many people who would love to see me work cattle every single week

would probably be somewhat disappointed to find that a ranch is made up of

hundreds of different parts and all have to work together to keep the ranch going

from chickens to pigs yeah even cats we're all part of a bigger picture so

let me introduce this little girl this is well this girl was found in the barn

abandoned here a couple weeks ago she's a friendly little thing and grace was

quick to name her Sara turns out though my mommy

Sara is a boy so it's become misters Sara I'd like to think that the bigger

the animal the more important they are but even these little guys have their

jobs to do and just like us it's right behind us this is the project list a

place where jobs that need done around here get put up on the board it shrinks

and it grows and sometimes the jobs are a little odd like the last one good

Aaron added last night as the temperature drops in the

snowfalls these geese are out wandering around errand skis and all summer long

they've had their run of the ranch from this I'm guessing the air and he wants

the chickens back or the geese back in the chicken house for winter where we

can keep track of them it's not as simple to sows they're hard to catch and

they're even harder the herd but we're gonna do our best first we have to find

them the drone will come in handy for this a phantom3 from DJI so let's Don

the sunglasses is the snow reflects everything out there and get to work

flying the drone isn't as hard as it looks and with my phone I can monitor

and see the picture that the drone sees as it flies around we head out into the

pasture where the geese have been hanging out for the last well pretty

much all summer long and we started looking for them all the while we get to

stay close to home I really haven't used the drone for that much

search-and-rescue around the ranch but it seems like a great testing ground

although we don't find a thing as we head over to taking a look at another

hay field they've been known to hang out in we can stop by and take a gander at

bubbles still hanging out in his Corral enjoying a few extra days on the ranch

due to weather he's still not very happy about being separated from the other

bowls but food helps heading out in the hay field we get a glimpse at our

targets and like a heat-seeking missile we lock on now today is already weird

enough so let's add to it and see if we can guide these four geese into the

chicken house with only the drone never had to do this before in fact it ranks

about an eighth on my weird crap meter but what the heck let's give it a go the

chicken house isn't too far away but who knows how these guys are going to react

oddly enough it works pretty well and the crowd goes wild

chalk that one up to dumb luck the next stop is the Pigpen where the pigs are

patiently waiting to be moved into their new stall and some fresh digs for the

last few months the pigs have been living in one stall together now is

they're getting bigger it's getting more and more cramped in there and with

winter here they need we need to move them away from their water and make sure

that they have a dry place to bed down pigs and water always means a mess and

soon we'll be building our winter watering system but for right now we're

gonna open up the stall next to them so they have a nice clean dry place to

sleep keeping food and water on the other side for now

soon their food will move into this side to making the other side an accessible

and easily cleaned bathroom pigs are crazy and fun animals although

realistically they're kind of a pain these guys are gonna get cold and

because of that we're gonna put in some straw for them to bed down in for bail

should cover the ground pretty well and with temperatures dropping down into the

20s for the next few nights they're sure gonna appreciate the cover

with that done then it's time to let him in a sheet of lumber currently closes

them off on this side but as they're banging at the door they know they want

in and when the door comes down here they come

happier and a bunch of pigs and well a clean stone

next up is to clean the old stall and move the feeders but for now I'm going

to cut you loose I have a new group of hunters coming out

here in a few minutes actually and I have to give them the dime tour before

they head out you've still got time to get it entered in to win my summer hat a

Stetson straw hat size seven and a quarter so check out the description for

the link to get yourself entered there aaron has a new video coming out on

Thursday and keep an eye on our social media as Aaron and I will both be

appearing on XM radio on Wednesday afternoon an interview with Julie rose

will be posting at the time and the channel for that which it'll be airing

on probably Wednesday morning I'm guessing I'm out of here but I will see

you again until then have a great week and thanks for joining us in our Wyoming

life
