How to make Easter Pillow Box - Duration: 6:09.

hi thanks for joining me this is angie at chic n scratch and my video today is

how to make this easter pillow box here are the supplies we sell these crashed

pillow boxes right in our Stampin Up catalog and this is powder pink that

measures one and a half by seven and then another piece that's three by three

you've got whisper white three by three and then another piece of whisper white

that's one and three-eighths by three-quarters okay so this is going to

be a super quick easy project all the supplies will be listed over on my

website first thing you're gonna do is just assemble your pillow box you want

to add your treat inside there I love using these when I'm in a hurry for a

quick project we're gonna take the powder pink cardstock and we're going to

emboss it with this dot-to-dot embossing folder now because it measures 7 inches

it's not going to emboss the whole thing but that's ok because it's gonna fall

under that scalloped circle so it's not going to bother anything so let me get

the big shot okay so here's the big shot big shot platform a cutting pad and then

next we're gonna take the layer and you add it in there ok so now I'm going to

take this out of the embossing folder and you can see that side so what I'm

gonna do is make sure that that lines up right smack dab in the center ok

so then I'm going to fold that over and then take my bone folder and then I'm

going to do the same thing over here give it a little squeeze and then

burnish it with my bone folder ok now we're going to add some tearing tape on

this side here

just one little strip will work kill that backing off so again I'm gonna

place it on here and then fold this over and I just want to make sure that it

lines up okay there we go so there's that part now let's stamp I'm using the

fable friends stamp set and I'm okay with cutting half the bunny off I know

that sounds really terrible but it'll be okay it's just a stamp right okay so

just damp right in the middle and then while I've got the ink pad open I'll go

ahead and stamp the gradient I got myself two pieces four just in case I

mess up

and I got it on the first go-around yay that helps because we are now adding the

stickers to these clean stamp sets okay slide that over I'm using to stamp in

blends the light flirty Flamingo and the light crumb cake I'm just gonna add a

little color to the ears and to the button did I get ink on that no that was

a piece of fuzz and then the light crumb cake I'm just gonna color his jacket

you could color the jacket another color and color his body or her body crumb

cake but I want a white bunny okay so now I'm going to take the stitch shaped

framelits and a layer in circles framelits to cut both of these two out

so I let me get the big shot again okay so here's the big shot this how are you

using the magnetic platform add a cutting pad so I'm going to start with

that stitched circle and just Center it right over the bunny powder pink

okay so let's bring all of our pieces back in here you've got the bunny here

and a scalloped circle here I'm just gonna take my snails and add the scallop

or add the bunny rabbit to the scallop circle and then I'm going to add the

greeting with a Stampin dimensional I'm going to turn it over add one over here

on that side I'm going to go ahead and add it

and then turn this over and add dimension on the bottom and the

dimensional on the top and that way it's going to go right on the belly band okay

okay don't forget all the supplies are listed over on that free pdf on my

website okay stick please cute right have a great day thanks a lot bye

Manage a Part-Time Job and an Internship | The Intern Hustle - Duration: 6:42.

Do you find yourself wondering if you have what it takes to make it all work

as a full-time student with a part-time job and an internship?

Some people may tell you you're even crazy for trying, they might think that

you need to focus on your studies more, or stop trying to grow up so fast and

just enjoy being a college student, or if you really need to make the money you

should just pick a job over an unpaid internship. Well guess what? This video is

part of a miniseries that I'm doing on the truth about internships, and the

truth is you CAN do it all, and you can do it all well. Stick around for my

advice on how you can not only manage, but kick ass, as a student with both a

part-time job and an internship. Hey there! I'm Jenna Rein from

theinternhustle.com, and this is Initiative Muscle Monday. Helping you to start each

week with an intentional step toward a successful future. Let's do this! Like I

said, you can do it all. Student, part-time job and internship. And the beautiful

thing about learning to juggle multiple responsibilities while you're still in

college, is that you're going to be a time management pro by the time you

graduate. You aren't going to be fazed by the demands of the real world that don't

really cater to the student lifestyle anymore. And this isn't the case for a

lot of college recent grads. You're going to have a huge advantage as you go about

tackling life after college. So, assuming that you want to know how to manage it

all well, let's dive into some of my best practices. Don't do all new, all at once.

Ideally if you're starting a new internship, you're not starting a new

part-time job at the same time. Even for someone who is very seasoned in their

career, that's a lot to juggle at once. New and unknown often equals stress and

anxiety. Let's just try not to double down on those feelings. Shall we? Try to

get a head start on a part-time job at least a couple months before you start

an internship. Allow yourself to settle in and establish positive relationships

with your manager and your coworkers. Because once you start your internship

you may need to ask your fellow co-workers for a favor every

now and then to cover you while you're at your internship. So building these

solid relationships ahead of time can be a huge advantage. Now you can also

revisit past part-time jobs that you already have some familiarity with. While

I was in college at Ohio State, my first two summer internships were

back near my hometown in the Chicago suburbs. Now because my internships were

so close to home I was able to secure a part-time job at the same place that I

worked at while I was in high school. It was a known entity for me and it took

away a lot of the stress of having to adapt to a new work environment at the

same time that I was learning the ropes as a new intern. Optimize your schedule.

Now here's where taking just a little bit of action upfront, and planning ahead,

can make all the difference in your success. Getting a handle on your

calendar, and how you manage your days, is a necessity if you're moving between

school, work, and an internship on a regular basis. For starters, try to consolidate

your schedule where you can. So can you start stacking classes on certain days

of the week and then your work and internship schedule on others? Or maybe

you take primarily night classes for a semester so that you have your days

free for work and internship. Take a look at the big picture and just play a

little calendar magic to see if you can optimize by consolidating. Now, once you

have some more clarity on how you're spending your days each week, add in the

details. This is one of my keys to time management. I calendar everything -- like my

commute time, lunch, workouts, my social life -- you name it.

At first it seems a little intense, but I promise once you get it all mapped out

it will help you stay on track throughout your day. And you're going to

feel so much more in control. And control takes away a lot of stress. If you're

looking for more specifics on my time management system, and how I use my

calendar as a time management tool, then check out my blog post titled My #1

Time Management Hack for Interns over on theinternhustle.com. I will also

link to it in the description below this video.

Lock down your support system. Like lock it down. We all have people in our

life who we go to for different things. The friend who has the perfect

relationship advice, or your mom who helps you out when you're trying to

remember for the 15th time how to wash your favorite sweater. But who do you go

to when school or professional pressures build up and you just need to chat? For

some it's a parent or a sibling who knows you best and can help bring you

back to normal when things get a little crazy. For others it may be an academic

adviser who's walked the exact path that you're hoping to follow. And

sometimes it's a best friend who's on the exact same journey that you're

currently on and you guys can commiserate together. Bottom line, you

need to have your phone a friend ready. Starting an internship can be a

stressful time, and as I mentioned before the unknown is enough to shake up anyone

a little bit. So when you combine an internship with a job and school, well

just expect some more stress. But that's not to say that you shouldn't do it. Look,

the whole point of me creating this video is to show you that you absolutely

CAN do it. But I'm also saying that a little support from someone else can

actually go a long way. Whether it's the occasional pep talk,

specific advice in the moment or just someone to listen as you recap your new

and exciting days -- find your support system. There you go! it is possible to

work a part-time job and an internship at the same time as being a full-time

college student. Just be smart in your approach and use my advice to help set

yourself up for success. Now I speak from experience, it can be challenging but you

will develop strong habits and skills that are going to help you navigate life

and career after college. If this video gave you some new insights

today, please give it a like and share it with a friend or two. Subscribe to this

channel and join you back here next week for my final week of the truth about

internships videos. I have one more internship mythbuster to

share with you, and I'm saving the best for last. In support of your hustle -- I'll

see you next Monday.

- Hey everyone, welcome to #SpinaBifida.

We're gonna be very cozy today because

did I go out drinking last night

even though I knew I had to film the next day?

Yes.

So I'm a little, I guess, hungover.

But this is the perfect video to do

when you don't feel as great.

You may have seen the trend on YouTube where creators

will ask their followers on Instagram

some assumptions they have and then

they'll answer them in a video.

So I thought I'd do that but with a disability twist.

The first one is that your sex life is boring.

So as of right now it is because

I'm not sleeping with anybody at the moment,

so I'm not doing anything,

but I think in general, I think it's fun.

I do things that I really like,

and I communicate and do things for my partner

that they really like.

So for me it's not boring.

So this assumption is not fully true.

The next assumption,

you're not willing to take risk or be spontaneous.

This is, again, half true.

When I was younger and in high school age

I was spontaneous, I took risk almost to the point

where my friends were like, Andrea, you're gonna get hurt.

I think I just didn't care as much

and my body was a lot healthier.

Now at 26, and I know there's gonna be people

in the comment sections being like,

that's not that old.

But when you have spina bifida

your body feels and acts a lot older than your actual age.

And because of that I'm not always spontaneous.

It depends on the day.

If I'm having a really good body day,

and if I'm not then I won't,

I need everything to be planned.

The next assumption, you are in more pain than you let on.

Yeah, this one is true.

I generally just don't tell people when I'm in pain.

I'm in pain all the time.

I just don't feel the need to tell anyone,

mainly because there's nothing anyone can really do,

and I just don't wanna deal with people

feeling bad that they can't help me.

I do let people know when I've hit my limit,

if we're out doing something and I need to sit down

or I need to just stop for a moment,

I am very good at letting people know

when I've hit my limit.

But even then I don't really

tell them the extent of my pain,

but my friends and family know

if I'm asking them to stop for a bit they know

I'm at my limit and it's probably really bad for me.

The next assumption that you've spent a ton of time

while growing up in the hospital just as I have.

Yes, that one is a true assumption.

From the moment I was born until my last back surgery

when I was 11 or 12 I was always in the hospital.

I had surgery like every year,

but I was back and forth always to get MRIs,

to get ultrasounds, just all that jazz.

Now that I'm older, not as much.

I'm still going to my doctors a lot,

but I don't really have to go

to the hospital, hospital as often.

My childhood Arnold Palmer Hospital

was like a second home to me.

The next assumption is similar,

it's you go to the doctors often.

As a kid, went to the doctors constantly.

As an adult, not as much.

I'm very close with my primary and I see her now

when something really is happening,

but also I see her when I have UTIs,

and I get UTIs very often.

But sometimes I do have spurts

where I am doing really well with my spina bifida,

so I don't see my doctor for a few months.

It just depends.

The next assumption is you get tired easily.

Yes, but again, like with pain

I sometimes don't tell people.

And it's not that I'm doing it intentionally

of not telling them,

I'm just really good at accommodating myself,

so oftentimes I just don't seek help from others.

The last assumption is you had a hard time going places

during college because you can't drive.

Yes, that is a true assumption.

I had the most difficult time.

For the first like two years of college

I lived with my sister and she

wanted to live farther away from campus,

and so since she was helping me out financially

I was just kind of at the mercy of that,

and so she drove but I had to make my schedules around her.

It made it difficult trying to hang out with friends

'cause some of my friends lived on campus

so they didn't have a car with them.

So that was kind of a nightmare and frustrating.

And then I moved out of my sister's

my last two years in college.

I was closer to campus and I had a bicycle.

So I would ride my bike to campus sometimes.

But mostly I took the bus.

I had my two best friends, Patrick and Alex,

who lived down the street from me,

and they were always there to pick me up

and drive me places.

So it did work out for the most part.

So those are the disability assumptions you had of me.

You were pretty much right for a lot of them,

so I guess that's cool.

So I'm gonna go and just take care of this hangover

and live my life.

So that's it on #SpinaBifida.

Thank you for watching.

(upbeat fun music)

Bone Strong Diet - Power Bone Oatmeal | Posture Doctor - Duration: 3:08.

so what kinds of food are good for the bones well foods that are more alkaline and

less acidic so usual breakfast foods like cereals breads caffeine sugary

snacks for breakfast muffins all those things they're acidic and our bones

really don't like acidity what they'll do is they'll leach calcium away from

the bones leaving our skeleton very vulnerable as we age don't want that

here we go we want half a cup of oats

little bit of cinnamon about half a teaspoon i put that in there

good handful of goji berries about a tablespoon of that

same with the coconut

this is so easy by the way that's what i like about it

and then there is a magic ingredient so i keep my seeds

in a glass jar in the fridge keeps them fresh and seeds the ones I'm going to

tell you about they're terrific not only are they good for your heart they are good

for your skin your joints and your brain so they give you Omegas the good fats

what I've got in mine glass jar I've got pumpkin seeds sesame seeds

sunflower seeds and flax seeds also known as the linseeds and I put a

tablespoon of that in my coffee grinder can you see that now it's nice ground-up

seeds that's going to burst them open you're going to get all those good oils

that are good for your joints add that into your porridge give it a stir

there is no liquid in there yet just mix them all together

in my porridge I prefer to use water than milk as I said milk is acidic and I could use

the hydration most of us could use more water during the day so there is a ton of

flavor here you're not going to miss the milk sometimes if you really want that

creaminess just add a couple of tablespoons of milk once it's

cooked quite a runny consistency lots of water in there and I'm going to turn it

on a very low heat and once the water in the double boiler has started to

boil the steam is going to warm this

just about finished thick consistency as I said you'll find what you like some of

you might like it quite thick some of you may like it really runny this is where

you can add a little bit of milk if you like a couple of tablespoons on top

we're going to finish off taking that apple and a grater and you're going to

greate the apple right over use the smaller grate YUM how good does that

look that's a great breakfast

grown-ish Season 2, Episode 9 | Sneak Peek: Paintings of Girlfriends Past | Freeform - Duration: 0:42.

Look. Whoever that is, she's hideous. She has nothing on you.

a) There's no way of telling what she actually looks like.

And b) legit a second ago you thought that hideous girl was me.

I did.

[Ana] I— I got this. [Nomi] Okay.

Okay. Zo, you know what?

It's probably just a favor for some relative who's an aspiring influencer.

I bet you it's his cousin.

Luca!

Is this your cousin?

Huh? Nah, that's my ex-girlfriend.

Okay. Well, I tried.
