Last time we discussed about Primavera, so this time we will see the song that came after Primavera, which is Solitudine.
Solitudine in italian means loneliness and recently I got a comment from Falksus in which she wrote she was feeling lonely.
So I hope this video will help you since we will talk a lot of loneliness in the second half of the video, but before digging into the topic let's continue from where we left
To be honest I wasn't really satisfied of how we did Primavera. I am not talking about the song itself, which I love, but about the workflow we used
When we did Primavera we were only using text chat, so after I received the melody I was almost forced to work alone because text chat has some limitations
So i thought that the next step would have been to improve the way we were doing music so it wasn't her work and my work sticked together with the glue but something we built up together from scratch
So we started using Skype video chat. With video chat I could share my screen and her listen to the music when I was making it so I could have heard her suggestions. We meet on Skype once a week
So by doing this we really increased the quality of the workflow
In addition to that Mirai's parents bought her a MIDI keyboard
I told them to buy a cheap one, and nowadays you can really get one for cheap and Mirai loves using one
So not only we were using video chat now but we also had a MIDI keyboard and the time of handwritten music notation was over!
So not only video chat, but also a MIDI keyboard!!! Fantastic!
So Solitudine is born from all these workflow improvement
Now this was the very first version as the way Mirai originally conceived it
Now the next one you are going to hear is the final version... ok... ok... yes I ruined it completely!!!

So I asked Mirai: "what do you want the lyrics to be based on?" And she replied: "loneliness"

I was thinking that I was the one to make introspective and sad songs, but it turned out that Mirai too loved sad songs

And loneliness is such a universal feeling! Everyone has felt it at least once in their life
And I thought it would have been a good opportunity to tell Mirai and you all how I think about loneliness
I always like to put secret messages when I write lyrics and usually Mirai is able to decipher them, but this time I may have been too cryptic and she couldn't
So I think this is a good chance to reveal Mirai the hidden message that was in front of her eyes all this time
But before I tell you the hidden message, let's discuss about loneliness. What is loneliness?
Loneliness has nothing to do to have someone physically close to you. Try to think all the times you went to a party and you felt alone
or on the opposite all the times you are at home alone but you are busy doing stuff you do not feel loneliness
So, again it has nothinn to do with the presence of other people around us but it is instead a feeling or a state of mind
It is generated by the realization that people around us do not care for what we do for them or who we are
and we tend to think that it is due to our faults or to not be able to do enough to be loved
and then we start feel even lonelier or even depressed by the mere thoughts that people around us do not care for us
And I think this is how Mirai felt when she asked me to make a song about loneliness and the same is for Falksus when she wrote that comment
I think that both of them are missing a piece of the puzzle
The loneliness that we feel is not our loneliness but is the loneliness of these people that are not able to give back love or even a courtesy
If someone is not even able to say thank you after you helped him and he ignores you he is the lonely person, not you
Try to think to each interaction with people like a seed. And not all seeds are equal. Some, like flowers, flourish really fast
but trees take years before they can make fruits
Some people understand that you helped them only after seeing the fruits on a seed you planted years ago...
other people instead are able to appreciate your help even when you are sowing the land before even planting the seed
it's not your fault if some people are blind and insensible
And the lyrics of Solitudine talk about this but the message was way to cryptic and Mirai didn't understood it
she even told me that the Miku that was singing was too evil and hearthless
*cries* nooo... Mirai doesn't like my lyrics!!!
I think she was referring when the lyrics says that the loneliness will strike him from the darkness like is a lethal weapon... or when she hints at a revenge
but the meaning is different of course
what I wanted to say is that the seed you have planted in a relationship with a person, will sooner or later flourish
and one day this person will realize that you spent time helping them
and this person will realize it all of a sudden... and this is what I meant by the fact that it would be like a strike from a weapon
and he will be shocked to realize he lost such a gentle person like you because he was so selfish to not appreciate what you were doing for him
and it will be even harder for him because at that time you will have already found better friends, friends that loves you for who you are
So, as always, the Obstacle is the Way! When facing loneliness as obstacle people turn around and try to evade it because it is a feeling that hurts
and we do our best to stop feeling lonely and we forget that since the obstacle is the way, loneliness is the way
you just need to realize that the loneliness you are feeling is not yours, but is of the people around you and if you embrace this feeling the loneliness will go away
and by doing so, the loneliness become a strength. that's why we talk about Miku finding new strength in the lyrics
as long as you keep doing our best you shouldn't fear anything
who cares is people do not appreciate us as long as we are doing our best?
it would be also nice to discuss about boredom, being introvert and extrovert, but I will leave this topic for one of my blogs

Senate Confirms New Attorney General With Shady Corporate History - Duration: 5:52.
William Barr has been confirmed as our new attorney general, Barr had previously served
as the AG under George Bush senior, and people need to understand just how bad this guy could
be.
You know the history, we've done stories on his history.
This is a, this is a guy that they barely touched on this.
He was involved in the Iran Contra issue.
He, when I say involved, he was the one that protected everybody who is, you know, they
had all of this information on so many people.
People were being prosecuted.
He worked through the pardons for those people.
He was also involved in, and I just saw this today, he was also involved in the, the Iran
hostage issue where if you recall, Jimmy Carter was running against Reagan and then there
was a secret deal, the, what they call the October Surprise, where they had worked out
a deal with the Iranians don't release the hostages until after the election.
So Jimmy Carter would lose and Ronald Reagan would win.
What's your take on this man?
I think what's gotten lost in the shuffle of William Barr, cause everybody, you know,
all the stories have said, well is he gonna is he going to fire Mueller?
Well, what's going to happen with the Mueller investigation?
Well, let, let's put that aside because this guy, six people he pardoned from Iran Contra,
five of whom had already been convicted.
Yeah.
For their involvement.
The other was a, a good buddy of his, he personally lobbied to get this guy pardoned by HW Bush.
Then he leaves there, goes and works at a telecom company where he successfully litigates
for deregulation of the telecom industry, which Bill Clinton proudly delivered because
this was '94 he did this.
'95 we get the telecommunications deregulation.
So this guy has been in the pocket of, you know, political criminals because they were
convicted.
He's been in the pocket of big business, including his time.
When you say, he's in the pocket.
He's worked as a lawyer.
I mean, you know, he's been there, paid, he's been paid to be their mouth piece.
Right, he's the, he's the guy that goes out there and helped kind of put us on the path
we're on, at least in terms of the telecom deregulation, which is huge.
That's an issue and a problem we still deal with today.
Okay.
Let me tell you what he's not going to do.
This is not an attorney general who's going to go after white collar criminals on Wall
Street because he's represented them.
He's been, he actually made a living representing those folks.
He's not going to go after environmental criminals because he's made a living representing the
folks who caused all the, the disaster.
He's not going to go, he's not going to make it easy for whistleblowers.
That's, those are things you need to know.
This is what we got.
This is the character that we got.
I think it's important to understand a little bit, a little bit about his history.
He's the guy that handled the, the Jeffrey Epstein representation.
You know, Jeffrey Epstein of course was the billionaire that had the human trafficking
of young women going back and forth to his paradise island jetting minors.
You know, children back and forth, 14, 15 year old.
Yeah, he was, he was with Kirkland and Ellis when, when that firm was handling these cases,
you know, these were the big ones.
He was with, he's major, major player with the Pharma industry where when Pharma gets
in trouble for doing something wrong, this is the guy they would call.
So all you gotta do is play this out.
This, this is not going to be the person that comes to the, to the rescue for consumers.
He's represented the biggest oil companies in the country.
So he's not going to be there as an attorney general looking out for consumers.
This is an attorney general that you can absolutely positively count on the fact there will be
no white collar prosecutions by this man if it involves a corporation from the oil industry,
from the Pharma Industry, from environmental type issues.
And so it's kind of a train wreck.
I mean, isn't it?
Well it really is because Barr, as you pointed out through his time with Kirkland and Ellis,
through his time with you know, GTE and then later Verizon.
He, he's worked for these people.
He's been their attorney, he's been there, you know, board member or you know, VP, whatever
it was.
And so here's the thing people have to understand.
Yes, the attorney general of the United States does not go out there and write policy.
They do not write legislation, but they set policy and here's how they do it.
We've seen it the last two years.
We have seen white collar prosecutions fall off the map.
No, virtually no white collar prosecutions under Trump.
This, white collar industry criminals, the best thing that ever happened to them was
Donald Trump.
Right.
And so this makes it worse.
It does.
Because they see this, the appointment of William Barr, they know his history far better
than we do.
And they say, this is, this is a blank check, this is a free pass.
This is our time to go and do these things that we may not normally do because we're
not going to be penalized.
Because they've seen the same data that you and I have sat here and talked about in the
past.
Prosecutions for white collar criminals on Wall Street have fallen by 85% over the last
two years.
Environmental enforcement has fallen 94% and that includes, you know, 90 something percent
reduction in fines.
And now he's calling the shots.
What is it about our Congress and our Senate where they're not able to cross examine a
guy like Barr?
With all that you've got to work with, they focus on one thing.
Are you going to fire Mueller?
Of course he's not going to fire Mueller.
There's no reason to fire to fire Mueller.
Mueller's at the end of this, of this process, it's doubtful that they're ever, he's ever
going to land where you know everybody, Democrats wanted him to land with yeah, I've tied up
this connection between Trump and Russian collusion.
I don't think he's going to land there.
There's no reason to fire Mueller.

Boat Review - Extreme 795 Walkaround With John Eichelsheim - Duration: 4:58.

Today we're aboard the extreme 795 walk around.
It's a new model for the company and it's a multi award winner.
We've had about fifteen knots of wind and a decent sort
of slop outside Tutukaka Harbour. It's been a lot of fun.
This boat goes exceptionally well. It's really soft riding. Its got an
eight mill hull, thicker than normal, they're usually a five mill, but the eight mill
hull makes this boat go even better than you might expect. Really nice to helm.
It likes a bit of speed and bit of power, but fortunately there is a 300
horsepower on the transom. So there's plenty of push, plenty of oomph.
We managed to travel through pretty decent sea, at probably... I was reading
fifty kilometers an hour. So you know that's a good speed to be making
ground in the sorts of conditions that we were in, and I would imagine on a flat
day you would get probably forty knots out of this boat. Not something that we tested
today but I would imagine you'd get at least that out of this.
So it certainly gets along very nicely.
So this boat is a fishing boat pure and simple.
Starting with this bait station. Simply pull it out and turn it over when it comes time
to fillet fish and then you don't have any lips to worry about that's a really good feature.
I also like the way that everything drains out past the transom, there's
no mess at all is going to get inside the boat. Simple but sensible.
A couple of tackle drawers here.
Useful they've even carpeted it to stop things bouncing around too much.
Across the transom... We've got a couple of
drop-in doors for when it's rough, or when you need to back up.
There's a nice walk through so it's easy to get out onto these swim platforms
at the rear of the boat. Nice drop down ladders, dive ladders, which also form a cage.
They've even gone to the trouble of putting a couple of rod holders on the corners.
There's a nice spacious cockpit, plenty of room for fishing. I love the
way that they've got sea deck over the floor, and they've also put it up here on
the gunnels as well. Nice to lean against, nice and soft. Great on bare feet, warm in
the winter, cool in the summer. Really nice touch. I've noticed when I came into
the boat we've got hand washes here. Just lean against them, lean over, wash
your hands. The nice thing about these is push it once and it runs
for seconds and it stops all by itself,
Okay we're standing inside the hard top of the seven nine five. Walk around.
Now it's actually quite a good width. It's much wider than I expected
it to be so even though this is a walk around you've still got plenty of room
inside the hardtop. They've really gone to town here with the electronics we've
got a 16-inch Simrad multi function display, and this vessel also runs the c zone system.
They have already set it up on a number of modes. If we're
going fishing for the day we can just push the button for the day fishing mode.
Also got a Simrad autopilot and of course the latest Yamaha gauges to go
with our 300 horsepower Yamaha on the transom.
You can quite happily overnight on this boat.
Not only does it have it's own little cooker and a sink there's
also a decent sized sleeping area up here in fore cabin. There's even a pipe
berth so you could quite easily sleep three, maybe even four people here
if you really really were keen. The other nice thing about it is it's got this
little aluminum roller door, it's lockable so you can lock it up and
everything's safe. Nice big under floor locker and this one is fitted with a
couple of rail blazer clamps or holders, you know that'll secure your dive
bottles nice and safely there, they won't roll around or bang together.
Yep another nice touch this reversible backrest here. So if you are in fishing mode
and you want to watch the lures you can set yourself around this way.
Oh... Nice and comfy.
You've got floodlights here for the cockpit.
LED floodlights the lighting inside the boaters LED as well.
There's also strip lighting underneath the gunnels. A spotlight or floodlight on the
roof line and one more thing that this boat has that I've never seen before,
it has lights along the sides as well there's three each side LED lights and
they'd be really useful if you were coming alongside a dock or something at night.
You can see exactly what you're doing.
So we've really enjoyed our day in the Extreme 795 Walkaround.
Here on the Tutukaka Coast.This is a superbly
detailed boat it's beautifully finished. It goes extremely well, it's been nicely set up.
Look there's really nothing not to like about this boat. Whether
you're into fishing or whether you'd like this for a bit more sort of family
orientated activities. Really this is a boat that for the mad keen fisherman.
You couldn't ask for anything better.
