there really is a psychology of success in this video I reveal three secrets of the rich and successful, coming up
Hey I'm Dr. Brad Klontz your financial
psychologist if this is your first time here and you want to harness the power
of psychology to create a life of freedom and abundance start now by
subscribing and clicking the bell so you don't miss anything so I grew up knowing
that we didn't have much money we couldn't afford to have the same things
and the same experiences and the same opportunities as people who had more
money maybe you can relate to that as a kid it hurt not being able to do things
other kids could afford to do and I wanted it to be different for me and my
kids someday I wanted to change my family's financial legacy one thing I
noticed is that the rich seemed to go about life very differently and sure
enough our studies have shown key psychological differences between people
who make it big and people who struggle financially so here are three wealth
mindsets number one hedge your bets one lie you'll hear is that in order to be
successful you got to take big risks this just isn't true most self-made
people aren't big risk takers now go ahead and take some risks but you got to
be smart about it for example if you want to start a business one of the
dumbest things you can do is to quit your day job too soon don't do it it's a
recipe for failure and discouragement have a Plan A and a Plan B. Plan A is
following your passion and taking those risks do that side hustle start that
business shoot for the stars look I believe in you you can do it but
make sure to have plan B in place also plan B guarantees your success save 20%
or more of everything you make invest in your retirement accounts and don't do
anything stupid for example don't raid your 401k to start your business
don't do it so hedge your bet go ahead for Plan A but make sure Plan B is in
place then you can't lose. Does this make sense?
Mindset number 2 focus on process not outcome wealthier people know something
that you don't know they know that their level of wealth is a great thing to have
but that you'll adjust to it eventually in other words it's not going to change
your happiness factor by much at all new toys lose their shine a bunch of free
time actually makes us less happy so live in abundance now by loving what
you're doing for example I love conducting research I love every bit of
it now it's very cool to see my research in print but that joy lasts for just a
day or two and poof it's gone that's how it is for most goals once you've
achieved them it quickly becomes not a big deal
you'll get dissatisfied and you'll want to move on to the next thing it's part
of the human condition so make sure to love the process of whatever you're
doing because that's what leads to happiness mindset number three slow and
grind verse quick and easy there is no quick and easy we see success all over
the place but we don't see the long hours the sacrifice the failures and the
grind if you can't commit to a process you love you'll end up failing you'll be
sucked into the quick and easy mentality for example wealthy people don't invest
in the stock market to get rich no no no they get rich and invest their money in
the stock market for moderate growth if you can get average returns in the stock
market and not do something stupid you're a genius you're doing way better
than most people people crash and burn when they try to go quick and easy it's
a fact of life hitting it big in the first year or even the first five years
for that matter is like getting struck by lightning it could happen to you but
it's not gonna happen and if it did it probably wouldn't end well so don't make
that your goal you'll learn so much in the slow and grind and you'll be better
equipped for success when it happens so question what's one mental shift you can
work on this week write it down and put it into action special thanks to my

Skylar's Story: Love of a Community - Duration: 5:53.
She just started falling over out of nowhere, then I started yelling for help.
She was gasping for breath. We had an unresponsive student. Is my
sister going to survive and stuff like that?
Skylar obviously, she has a twin sister and they were they were born premature.
They've been little. Growing up . . . as they they started growing up they finally
started to catch up and pass people. She . . . she loves activities. I mean she loves
doing stuff. If you give her a choice to stay home or just even go to the store
with you, she would prefer to go to the store with you just to do something. Well
Skylar she is like a good sister to me she's like always there and we've been
together ever since we were like born. Basically every time I'm like we're down
at school or sad, she's always there I'm always there for her. Skylar is very
competitive. At school she want to be the first one done with her test.
Always wants to win, she's she's a tough kid. So we are really competitive against
each other. We always try to beat each other. So Skylar has been very athletic
her whole life. We put her in soccer when she was five. She's done basketball, she's
done cheerleading. Never had an issue, nothing
until that day. My name is Kelly Word and I'm the lead school nurse for Muscle
Shoals City Schools. When I first started working in Muscle Shoals, it was very
important to me to begin an AED program in our schools. The latest statistics
from the American Heart Association show that approximately 7,000 children die
each year from cardiac arrest. The survival rate of students that
experience cardiac arrest in a school with an AED is approximately 70%, as
compared to 8% in schools that do not have an AED. And because of those
statistics it was very important for me as a nurse to implement a program in our
schools to make sure our students are safe.
We were walking in school, like we were riding our bikes everything was normal
and then the bell rang for our first class. We were just sitting down and
typing and then it just she just started falling over out of
nowhere, and so then I just went down and caught her before she hit her head. Then
I started yelling for help and calling for help. When I reached the classroom
and saw the student she was gasping for breath, and I could tell her pulse was
very weak. And as I approached the classroom
I saw nurse Kelly Word was on the floor where we had an unresponsive student. I
immediately called for the AED and instructed someone to call 9-1-1. Sprint
back to the office get the AED and by the time I walked back in the door she
says go ahead and start opening AED. And then like I just heard that they had no
there was no pulse, no heartbeat her so I just started dying crying, and then I
just like start crying, because I was wondering like is she okay. Like is my
sister going to survive and stuff like that.
At that time we took the student up to the AED and were advised to give shock.
Uhmm, the shock was administered. I immediately went back into CPR and the
paramedics arrived shortly thereafter. My phone rang, didn't answer, didn't
recognize the number, but I answered it, and it was the school and they had told
me that there was a event with Skylar. And she was at the hospital, I didn't
know anything. I just knew that something had happened. So after they got her
stable, we moved her to Children's in Birmingham. And after running tests we
discovered that she had she was having a bunch of PVCs at the time, and we were
able to get her the treatment that she needed. Waking up in the hospital I felt
blessed because I was alive. For . . .for and I was happy for the school having the
AED. It means a lot to me that Muscle Shoals Middle School has the AEDs in
place, otherwise my daughter may not be alive today. It's very gratifying and
rewarding to play a small part in saving someone's life. And having the
appropriate training and an AED in place is critical for that. We're very high
on academics, athletics, fine arts everything we do here.
But the biggest thing I'm here to provide is safety for every student and
you know, I know where as a parent I want my kids to be safe. And that's the
biggest component is that these kids come to school everyday and they feel
safe and having that AED is just another component of safety here at Muscle Shoals
middle school. From a personal standpoint I do believe that it's very important
that every school have an AED and a plan in place in case this type of emergency
happens in schools.
Skylar means the world to me. When this happened all I could do was
flashback to when her and her sister were born. As a dad that's all I could
think of was am I only gonna have the memories? There would have been a void. I
don't know how to put in words how much I love her. She's, she's one of a kind. She
makes me laugh and to not have it anymore it's just it's unthinkable.

Make The Movie Or Make Excuses - R.L. Scott - Duration: 11:15.
Film Courage: What's the most broke you've been in your life and can you tell us a story
about it? R.L. Scott, Filmmaker: Hmmm? In regards to filmmaking? Film Courage: Yes. Just
a time in your life? R.L.: Probably when I made my first movie, my first feature
film. I actually produced my first movie for five hundred bucks
shot it in three weeks between my house my neighbor's house and a friend's house
that was like around the corner so so between like a one-block radius like I
in the way the way it happened is sort of like I this is actually interesting
so I had prep to do my first movie it was it was a totally different idea than
what I ended up going with I had done pre-production for maybe two months and
it was all going to take place in like this this really big building and the
day before we were gonna start shooting the investor pulled out it's like Oh
something came up I can't you know I can't do it so we'd prepped myself to
cast everybody we'd done all this prep for two months we put like a deposit on
the location that we were going to use the building we couldn't get the deposit
back so I think that happened on a Saturday we were supposed to start
shooting Sunday night so I get the news on Saturday I call up the cast between
Saturday and Sunday I spoke to everybody I said look this is what happened and
yeah now we don't have a we don't have a budget we don't have you know everything
we prepped for is pretty much we're at square one now and I was like I know you
guys are ready to shoot they had already took enough people to take enough days
and took off time to shoot film I said look we're gonna shoot a
movie give me a day and I will give back to you but but come and now we I guess
we we couldn't shoot Sunday so it was gonna be Monday I said just give me a
day come Monday we're gonna start shooting
so the way I ended up shooting my first feature was I would write the scenes
that we were gonna shoot that day in the morning the cast would show up that day
get the scenes we would go through the scenes and basically we would shoot the
scene so that the same day they got the scenes we shot them there were action
scenes in the film I would have to choreograph the fights the day of and
teach it to the actors the day we shot them so we basically shot the film that
way every single day like I would shoot that day and then do the work that night
to prep coming into the morning and we so we shot the whole movie that way
most of the actors had no martial arts training but I actually developed now
this is also very interesting I've developed a way of choreographing at
fight scenes over the years and making actors look like they know how to fight
you know and I use the sword as it's like this chain chain length method
where you take three or four techniques we call it an exchange right so one
exchange would be through four techniques you teach those three or four
techniques to the actors it's sort of a short a short burst of energy versus
like just shooting a fight full-on and people getting tired and then that's how
accidents happened right but you could get a short burst of energy out of them
for three or four techniques and and then the Edit you use the last technique
of that exchange you would use that to cut into
the first technique of the next exchange and I actually learned that method from
looking at like when I was young you know the barrel of monkeys where they
would have the hands that would connect and you pull them out of the theatre of
the barrel of monkeys so that's how I learned to to choreograph and then cut
the way I would cut is I would use the last part of datak stage as the first
move so even though you're shooting these tiny little bursts of action when
you cut them together they seem seamless because you always use the material from
the last punch so I guess to simplify that if if I have
an exchange and the last the last technique you've met exchanges a
straight punch right the next technique in the new exchange is that same
straight punch you know that me so that you're able to carry that over and that
I'm using the straight punch from the second exchange not the last technique
of that exchange so that way it just seems like a constant stream of energy
like this non-stop sort of action sequence even though it was like these
really tiny bursts so that way you can keep everybody safe and you can sort of
control how you know how things are done and then you you you you use composition
based on like what's going to make that technique look the best so you're able
to hide their flaws and and sort of show their strengths hi their weaknesses that
sort of thing but um but yeah I think that whole three weeks of making my
first feature with I had no script I had no you know I had to write it as we shot
and they had no prep we had no money you know that's probably like the brokest
I've been but that but that movie got like worldwide distribution and it's
sort of yeah that also showed me like how much power you really have like as a
content creator like how you can sort of create something and even if it's in a
rough situation it can it can still do great things and it can still be
received well and yeah that just opened up a world of possibilities after that
and then how confident did that make you going forward before every other shoot
because you basically had the bottom fall out yeah and you still made it work
somehow I mean you had people that it could have been very mad it took all
this time off whatever everybody was probably like heartbroken you made it
work somehow how does that build your confidence yeah
I mean it it was great because I'm I never I never gave them the impression
that things were just you know what I mean I was very calm you know this
happened but this is what we're gonna do you know like I never I never made it
feel like it was a problem like just this thing that we couldn't get past or
you know I just I don't know is this the way I delivered it to him I guess and
then I think also because they had seen a lot of the other work I'd done like
the shorts and stuff like that I think they were pretty confident that
like you know we'd be okay but I was very much I was never like oh my god
they did this and I don't know what we're gonna you know I never never did
that I was just like hey you know we're gonna just change gears a little bit you
know this is what happened we're still making a film yeah so I think just being
calm and never sort of letting on how crazy things have gotten I think I think
that helped a lot and to have it go so wrong and to be able to come
the other side was something that was like tangible like yeah that changed
everything for me like you know I just didn't feel like it was that I didn't
feel like it was anything I couldn't do at that point I just felt like you just
find a way like you stay calm you figure it out
you problem-solve and because if you strip away all the essentials right when
you get down to what the film really is its location its actors you know
lighting sound you know composition storytelling you know and whether it's
100 million dollars or $100 you can still tell a story if you have the tools
and you know you can you can still tell a great story it's it really isn't about
the money at all money helps money can make things grander or bigger or
whatever but when it really comes down to telling like a human story it you
really don't need a lot to do that you know and yeah that's what it taught I'm
sure it wasn't excellent at the time but yeah that's
really scary yeah I just didn't I really didn't panic just because I was so used
to it I was so used to making these things like the way I was making them
you know like as a kid like I was so used to just okay I'm gonna write in my
shit I'm gonna I'm gonna you know we're gonna use this room or that room like so
to me it felt like just going back to like how I started you know and I was
comfortable in that and I think that's the reason why I didn't see a reason to
panic I just was like okay we can't do that but we can do this yeah yeah
you

Gunhoo fell asleep while riding a luge LOL [The Return of Superman/2019.02.17] - Duration: 10:32.
(Naeun's family is visiting a ski resort.)
- A ski resort? / - There's so much ice, isn't there?
(Amazed)
I'm going to make a snowman.
You can make Olaf.
I'll make Gunhoo too.
Hello.
- We came to ride a luge. / - I see.
Can you ride a luge at a ski resort?
The track is 1,200m above sea level.
Carts go through it at a fast speed.
There's a straight track
as well as a curvy track where you can drift.
It made William scream in Singapore.
The luge is "Kart Rider" in real life.
You need to put on a helmet first.
(What is this?)
- You must wear it for safety. / - That's right.
Gunhoo's cheeks are about to burst.
(He looks like a cartoon character.)
- He looks just like him. / - They look alike.
- Bye. / - This is when it gets really exciting.
When you're on your way up.
Naeun, it's been so long for me.
Right, Jooho is scared of height.
- Right. He's scared. / - It's scary.
It's shaking a lot.
It's not scary at all.
- Why is it shaking? / - Naeun
will hold her dad's hand.
Let's only look to the front.
Just look ahead. Don't look down.
(Dizzying)
Don't look down.
No, don't move.
Will he get to the top like this?
Naeun, don't look down.
It's okay to look if she's okay.
She's fine looking down.
They're riding a car.
They're having fun. We'll ride it too.
We're getting off now.
It's a little slippery, so get up slowly.
(The others are getting up.)
He's the last one to get up.
Get up. Get up.
(Will they be able to get off?)
- Thank goodness. / - Thank goodness.
Some people end up going back down again.
The karts are welcoming Naeun at the top.
She's so excited that she's running over.
How will you ride with the kids?
- Can't I ride with two kids? / - No.
Then... Naeun.
Gunhoo is younger, so let him ride first.
- Okay. / - Can he go first?
Yes.
You promised.
- They became closer after making up. / - Yes.
You know how to yield. You're all grown up now.
What a big girl.
I'll be right back with Gunhoo.
- Gunhoo, have fun. / - High-five.
(Gunhoo looks uninterested.)
Gunhoo, it's not scary.
(Naeun watches from the side.)
Good luck to you too, Dad.
High-five.
- Don't worry. / - Okay.
- I'll be back. / - Okay.
How will Gunhoo react to his first luge ride?
- What if he cries because it's scary? / - Bye.
- What if he yells again? / - Bye.
- I'll be back. / - He looks peaceful.
- He looks okay. Is he sleeping? / - Shall we speed up?
It's so fast. Isn't this fun, Gunhoo?
- Aren't you scared? / - Hold on.
I think it would be faster to walk.
(One would think he's driving a tractor.)
Should we speed up?
Try it.
(Gunhoo who was wide open at first...)
He's dozing off.
- Aren't you scared? / - He's sleeping.
He fell asleep while riding a luge.
- Jooho. / - It's so peaceful.
(It's so comfortable like my stroller.)
This is really long.
Isn't it long because he's going too slow?
- Gosh. / - She's lying on the snow.
We need to show a scene like this for 30 seconds.
- Do you mean as a gift? / - Yes, it's a gift.
(Here, take my snowball.)
(Giggling)
This is a secret,
but I'm going to show this to Gunhoo.
It's cold.
It's cold.
It's a big piece of ice.
I'm going to show it to Gunhoo.
(Naeun's Olaf)
She put the snow together.
Is he going back up?
Are you sleeping? You're one of a kind.
How can you sleep? I was really scared.
How could you fall asleep?
He's sleeping deeply.
Dad!
Dad!
Naeun.
Come here.
There?
Come to my house.
(I made Olaf.)
When did you make that?
- Earlier. / - Really?
- She made it for Gunhoo. / - You made it so well.
- Is Gunhoo sleeping? / - Yes, he's asleep.
Why is he sleeping?
I think I drove too slowly.
Why did you go slowly?
Because I was scared.
- Dad, I want to go too. / - How does he play soccer?
- He plays on flat land. / - You have to wear a helmet.
- Wait, Naeun also looks sleepy. / - Yes.
Why are they playing this song?
Do kids end up like this when they sit there?
Is it a bed?
(Gunhoo is sleeping at the rest area.)
Let's go.
Are they going? It's finally her turn.
I think he's going a little faster.
It looks like fun.
(Squealing)
(He shows off his drifting skills.)
Look. What's that?
- You must ride like this. / - Are we fast or not?
- We're fast. / - The track felt so long before.
- Are you having fun? / - Yes.
- Should we go faster? / - Yes.
Did he go slow earlier because Gunhoo is young?
Isn't it fast?
- Faster. / - Faster?
Even faster?
(He's scared, but he'll speed up as ordered.)
- Should we go faster? / - Yes.
They're really fast.
Are you okay, Naeun?
- Are you okay, Jooho? / - Are you okay, Dad?
Are you okay, Dad?
It's really long. It's 2km long.
He rode it twice.
- He rode 4km altogether. / - We're here.
Let's get off.
(Where is this thread from?)
What is this? Where did this come from?
(What happened?)
Actually, a piece of yarn was stuck on Naeun.
It came undone little by little at every bump.
I thought it was natto.
- Aren't you cold? / - No.
- It came out one by one. / - Why am I so cold?
Dad, your shirt is funny.
- What's this? / - It came undone.
- That's why I was cold. / - He was cold.
What now? What do I do?
You can see through. I'm so cold.
Dad, hold on.
Did she go to the washroom?
Dad.
Wear this scarf.
Did you go in there to get that?
Is it toilet paper?
- How sweet. / - She's sweet.
Do you want me to wear it as a scarf?
- Should I wear the scarf? / - Yes.
Hurry up and wear it.
It'll be warmer than you think.
(It's not enough.)
Dad, you have to wrap it around like this
or it won't be warm.
Is it a toilet paper scarf?
(His toilet paper scarf is ready.)
I'm thankful, but don't I look funny?
You look pretty.
- Does this look pretty? / - Yes.
Anyway, thank you.
Are you warm now?
Yes, I am.
- My heart is warm thanks to you. / - Of course.
Dad, don't catch a cold.
All right. You shouldn't either. Thank you.
- Seriously. / - Let's go to Gunhoo now.
Okay, let's go.
Put your hands in. It's cold.
Let's go. Be careful.
Bye.
(Thank you for looking after Gunhoo.)
Let's ride it down.
- I want to ride it again. / - Do you?
- Yes. / - Let's ride it down.
Be careful. Go slowly.
(Flapping)
We're here.
Naeun, we can't have both of you ride it.
I can't take both of you. I can only take one.
I'll ride with Uncle.
- Which one? / - She has a favorite.
This one?
Uncle, ride it with me.
I'm so frustrated with our production team.
Didn't they know this would happen?
They knew, so they should've called me.
That's how Naeun ended up riding with an uncle.
And Jooho goes for his third ride today with Gunhoo.
Naeun, I'll go first.
Gunhoo, how is it? Is it okay?
Do you have your eyes open this time?
Don't fall asleep.
Naeun!
Yes?
- Are you riding well? / - Yes.
- Are you okay? / - Yes.
Naeun, are you having fun with Uncle?
Yes!
- Stop asking. / - Are you following me?
Goodness, just go already.
She's enjoying it.
It's fast.
It looks like fun.
I want to ride it.
(Jooho rode it three times in a row.)
- Three times? / - He rode it for an hour.
I respect him.
Naeun, you should go faster than me.
- What is this? / - Will Naeun pass him?
(Right then!)
(Naeun is passing Jooho.)
She won. They passed him.
Naeun, you're faster than me.
(Bye.)
Naeun, you're faster than me.
It's fun.
Dad, go fast.
It's a straight line.
I'll get going first.
Be careful. I'll see you later.
Uncle, cheer up.
(The uncle uses his booster.)
He passed again.
They keep going back and forth.
It's pretty competitive.
(We're going to lose.)
(The end.)
He ended up losing.
I beat you, Dad.
I had to go slow because of Gunhoo.
Gunhoo is a baby.
(Don't blame me.)
(I had fun thanks to you, Dad.)
