Magpie Murders by Anthony Horowitz | Book Review - Duration: 5:44.

Hi everyone. I'm Rincey and this is Rincey Reads. Today I'm going to be doing a

book review on magpie murders by Anthony Horowitz. This is a brand new mystery

release. I was very lucky, someone at book riot had a copy that they were willing

to send to someone. I called dibs. So I got to read it and I really enjoyed it. So I

decided to do a book review on it. This book is basically a homage to the

classic whodunit sort of detective genre out there. In this book, there is this

mystery writer named Alan Conway, I believe. He is basically like a

best-selling mystery writer. He has a series of books featuring this detective

named Atticus Pund and he has submitted like the latest manuscript for the ninth

book in the series. The editor takes it home with her over the course of a

weekend to read through it. The first chapter is her - the editor, Susan - setting

up sort of the situation, talking about how reading this manuscript would

basically like change everything in her life. And then the next like 200 or so

pages are you reading the mystery book. And the mystery book is written in this

very Agatha Christie esque style. And then after you finish reading the

manuscript with Susan basically, you back, you jump back to Susan's perspective and

you see sort of how things unfold from there. Susan realizes that there's

something wrong and she sort of becomes a detective in her own life to try to

figure out what the heck is going on. Yeah, so that's all I'm going to say

about the plot. It's possible that there's more details out there in the

world but I feel like the less that you know going into a mystery book, the

better that it always is. Like I said, I really enjoyed this book. It is such a

great companion to British detective Agatha Christie style books. It's very

difficult to find sort of like read-a-likes for Agatha Christie. Like if you

like Agatha Christie, you should read X book. It's very rare to come across

books that fulfill that similar style and similar sense of like quality

mystery that you can sort of sink into. But this book does it really, really well.

The story within a story in here is just like a Poirot novel. But then like the

mystery, the main mystery outside of that is also just really, really well done.

Anthony Horowitz does a really good job of creating sort of like parallels

between the two stories. But the a real-life one has more obviously

realistic details and consequences and things along those lines. But it still

has like that very mystery element to it. There's a lot of really great plays on

the genres and homages is to the genre that if you are a mystery fan, I think

that you'll really enjoy. The way this book is set up, it's very much grounded

in sort of like our reality. Like they talked about Agatha Christie and they

talked about like JK Rowling and they talked about all of these really great

mystery writers of the world. So it makes it feel more real as a reader, at least

it felt more real to me because it felt like I was just in another part of the

world. Like I was just in England enjoying this story as well. It feels

like the Atticus Pund books could have been their own like a real series here

in the world. So yeah if you're someone who really enjoys mystery books, if you

really like like cozy mysteries or like straightforward British detective

stories, if you really like Agatha Christie, this is definitely a book worth

picking up. I feel like you also get like two books for the price of one because

there are two full mysteries happening in this story. Yeah it was really great.

I was so engrossed in this. I read this over the course of like two days which

is very rare for me. Especially for a book that's like over 400 pages long,

usually it takes me a couple of days to be able to get into it. But I started

reading this I think on like Saturday morning I want to say and like I could

tell immediately that I was hooked into the story and I sort of like organized

my weekend so that way I could read as much as possible. And I definitely like

stayed up way past my bedtime just so I could see like how this whodunit was

going to conclude. Cause I was, like there, there was a point like on Sunday night

where I was like okay I have like 100-ish pages left. I'm going to put it down

here because I know I'm going to stay up way too late to read this. And then, so I

decided I was going to go to bed and just read it like the next morning

before work. I went to bed and I couldn't stop thinking about it. So I was

like, well at this point I'm not going to sleep so I might as well just keep reading it.

That's how much I liked this book. So yeah, it's not a perfect novel by any

means. Like the way everything wraps up, it is a little bit over the top but I

also kind of liked the fact that it was over the top. But yeah, I think again if

you're someone who really enjoys the mystery books this is a really

one to pick up. It just feels so like comforting in a way that Agatha Christie

feels. And yeah, it's just a great, great addition to the genre. So yeah that is

Magpie Murders by Anthony Horowitz. If you've read this book, definitely leave a

comment down below. I'd love to talk to other people about it. I know a couple

other people at book riot have read it and they've all really enjoyed it.

It's because they were talking about it so much that I picked it up right away and

I'm so glad that I did. Also, since I'm talking about a

mystery book I feel like I should a plug the new mystery podcast that I'm doing

on book riot. It's called Read or Dead. If you follow me on social media you

probably would have seen me talking about it. Or I think I've talked about on

Twitter, maybe that's it. I should probably talk about it other places as

well. I'll have a link to it down in the description in case you guys are

interested in checking it out. It again it's just like mystery thriller podcast.

The first episode dropped last Friday as of when this goes live and we'd love to

have you guys listen along. If you enjoy mystery thriller books and if you've

listened to it and you have any feedback, definitely feel free to sum that my way

as well. So yeah, that's all I have for now and thanks for watching.

What to Do When You Feel Hopeless - Duration: 2:28.

Hi, my name is Roman Ryder and this is Fearless Strategy.

If you're new to my YouTube channel, please click below and subscribe.

Okay, so one of the hardest things in life is when you feel like it's hopeless, when

something has happened, or you did something or said something and you just don't feel

like there's any way to come back from it.

Well let me tell you what, you can come back.

It's going to be okay.

So today I'm going to give you a few tools to use when you reach those hard points in

life and you just don't see a way out.

Okay.

Tool number one is to ask yourself, "Will this really matter in five years or ten years?"

No matter how bad it seems, I bet you if you ask yourself, "Will it matter in five years

or ten years?"

It's going to look a lot better, right?

I've been through some tough things and I said, "Will it really matter in five years?

Meh, no, not really.

It kind of sucks right now but in five years I'll be okay, it won't be a big deal.

It'll be a thing of the past and I won't even think about it."

Okay?

The second tool is to focus on what you can control and forget about the things that are

out of your control.

They're just going to be something to worry about.

Don't worry about them.

Focus on what you can control and start moving forward.

Start from where you're at today and find your way out of this.

Okay?

And that brings me to the last thing.

The third tool is just to never ever give up.

Some of the toughest things I've been through in life were followed by some of the best

things I've been through in life and if I had given up, I never would've got to experience

those great things.

So never ever give up.

Okay?

And last, I'm just going to tell you a short story.

Sometimes I think of life like a blacksmith and I'm the metal and he's hammering on me

and heating me in the forge, right?

And he's beating me into a tool.

He's beating me into the weapon I need to be.

He's making me stronger.

It's not easy, it hurts sometimes, but life is trying to make you stronger.

Like Tony Robbins says, "Life doesn't happen to you, it happens for you."

Okay?

So use these three tools.

Ask, "Will it really matter in five or ten years?

What can I focus on right now?

What can I control to make ... Improve this situation?"

And never ever give up, okay?

I hope you enjoyed this week's video.

Please like it.

Please share it.

Please head over to fearlessstrategy.com, sign up for my free training I have coming

up soon and I'll see you next week on Fearless Strategy.

The Real Reason You Don't Hear From Burt Reynolds Anymore - Duration: 5:33.

With acclaimed roles in Deliverance and Smokey and the Bandit, Burt Reynolds's swagger and

charm made him a huge star in the '70s.

But despite his box-office clout and sex symbol status, the once-great star seems to have

faded away.

So, why aren't we seeing more from Burt Reynolds?

Becoming a star

Reynolds began his career in the late '50s and worked steadily in small TV roles through

the '60s, including an episode of The Twilight Zone, playing a cocky actor who gets punched

in the face by a time-traveling Shakespeare.

"What have I got against this personage, Stanislavsky?

You!"

But in 1972, Deliverance gave Reynolds his first major movie role.

However, just before the film was released, Reynolds was invited to pose nude for Cosmopolitan.

It was the first nude male centerfold in a major magazine, and he figured people would

look at and laugh and forget about it a few days later.

But instead of being a laugh riot, it made Reynolds the sex symbol of the '70s.

It also diminished his serious acting accomplishments in Deliverance.

"I was very young and very stupid, and it did not change my career to the better."

Reynolds had become a huge star, but he was never really taken seriously, which would

haunt him for the rest of his career.

A few bad choices

Reynolds' signature 'stache and cocky smile won over male and female fans alike through

the '70s, but by the '80s, his movies were already getting less critical acclaim.

1981's The Cannonball Run featured an all-star cast and made a lot of money — but critics

weren't pleased.

Also released in 1981 was the well-reviewed drama Sharky's Machine, which had Reynolds

as its star.

But he squandered those critical gains by following that up with Best Little Whorehouse

in Texas, the forgettable Best Friends, and the horribly reviewed Stroker Ace.

By the time 1984 rolled around, Reynolds returned for Cannonball Run II, which got even worse

reviews and made $44 million less than the original.

By sticking to a run of mediocre comedies, Reynolds wasn't being taken seriously, and

he could only charm audiences for so long.

And if the first half of the '80s seemed troublesome for Reynolds, the second half only got worse.

Reynolds' work included a cameo in the bizarre Smokey and the Bandit Part 3 and the terribly-reviewed

Rent-A-Cop.

Things didn't get any better from there.

Too many refusals

Over the years, Reynolds turned down a lot of roles that would wind up becoming iconic.

In an interview with Business Insider, Reynolds revealed that he could've played the first

American James Bond, but he felt 007 was a role only an Englishman could play.

And before Harrison Ford took a break from carpentry to play Han Solo, Reynolds was reportedly

offered the role.

In the early 1980s, the male lead in Terms of Endearment was written especially for Reynolds,

but the star said no, as he'd already committed to Stroker Ace.

The role went to Jack Nicholson, and Reynolds regrets his decision even today.

Then in 1990, Reynolds reportedly turned down the starring role in Pretty Woman due to the

age gap between himself and Julia Roberts.

While these choices didn't affect his career at the time, they definitely hurt his legacy.

Instead, Reynolds retreated to TV, starring in sitcoms for much of the late '80s and early

'90s, appearing as a disembodied voice in Out of This World and an ex-football star

in Evening Shade.

He even won his first and only Emmy for his performance in Evening Shade.

Unfortunately, after four seasons, the show went off the air and Reynolds went back to

making bad movies, until 1997.

A thwarted comeback

In 1997, Reynolds got the comeback role of a lifetime.

And no, it wasn't in the Mr. Bean movie.

"But I love my country.

I can't stand the idea of a bunch of Frenchies owning America's greatest painting.

Let's get on with it."

Boogie Nights was the film that made Paul Thomas Anderson a famous director to watch,

and a role in the film gave Reynolds acclaim that he hadn't seen in a long time.

But despite overwhelming critical praise, Reynolds didn't really go anywhere after playing

Jack Horner.

So why didn't Boogie Nights work for Reynolds like Pulp Fiction did for John Travolta?

Well, first of all, Reynolds didn't actually like Boogie Nights.

Reynolds told The Guardian that even though he's never seen the movie all of the way through,

he still hates it, and that working on it was a nightmare, mostly citing creative differences

with Anderson.

Still, Reynolds' rage also extended to the cast, and according to his book But Enough

About Me, Reynolds almost got in a fist fight with co-star Thomas Jane.

Though the shoot was difficult, Anderson had no complaints about Reynolds's performance.

He even offered him a role in his next film, Magnolia, but Reynolds turned it down, saying,

"I'd done my picture with Paul Thomas Anderson, that was enough for me."

Personal problems

In addition to his spotty film career, things were also pretty difficult in Reynolds's personal

life.

After marrying actress Loni Anderson in 1988, the couple divorced in 1993.

It was not amicable, and Reynolds called the marriage, quote, "a really dumb move" while

Anderson lobbed accusations of abuse.

When the smoke cleared, Reynolds agreed to pay Anderson a little under $250,000, though

he didn't complete the transaction right away.

It took 22 years for Reynolds to complete his payments.

In 1996, the actor filed for bankruptcy, but was able to keep his large ranch in Florida,

which he eventually sold anyhow.

By 2014, money was still a problem, so he held an auction of some of his personal belongings,

including props, costumes, and awards from his films.

However, other items he tried to sell seemed a little more desperate, like his voided credit

card.

He's still busy

Despite these bumps in the road, Reynolds is still working — just not always on the

big screen.

"Burt F------ Reynolds?"

"who else could keep this town running? "

In addition to popping up in a few voice roles, he created the Burt Reynolds Institute, an

acting studio in Florida where aspiring stars can learn from Reynolds himself.

Even now, at over 80 years old, Reynolds recently completed the film Dog Years, and has multiple

films set for release in the near future.

For a guy who's been in the business for six decades, that's incredibly impressive.

Reynolds' star may not shine as bright today as it did 40 years ago, but he's still an

icon who'll always have a place in film history.

And a few bedroom walls.

Dr Zakir Naik Special Questions & Answers about Fasting on Peace TV || very informational Interview - Duration: 9:42.

Assalamu aleikum welcome back to the show Ramadan I think we dr. Zaki I'm

your host Youssef chambers and today we are

discussing the topic acts recommended and discouraged while fasting next

question relates to a person says if a person watches TV serials or news in

which women are without the hijab will this invalidate the fast as far as

looking at a woman go to job staring at her it's not permitted in Islam whether

during a man on on the run with the fasting or not fasting and Allah says in

the Quran in surah Noor chap number 24 was the mattefy say to the believing man

that he should lower his gaze and guarded modesty that means the moment he

looks at a woman any initial cut community mean if the over is not any

job he should over this case so based on this verse of the Quran it is haram to

look and share double me and when you're watching television but natural the

woman comes on the screen not that helo your game was almost all of them they

continue studying and roaming that reminds of incidents that once I told my

friend was staring at the girl for a long time I said what I dream it's not

allowed to stay in Islam she told me a beloved prophet said that the first

dance was forgiven the second is prohibited I have not completed half

magnin what does the Prophet be did it mean that you can stay at home in 410

meters or blinking and saying that the advancement completed what the Prophet

meant was that if you accidentally look at a woman do not look at that again to

feast on beauty and information a deed of a beloved person assalam of Sunan Abu

Daoud added number tu-144 where provenance rasoolum tells the

valley melody written that do not look at domain again the first glance if

accepted would not look at her again same heartedly repeated in stone on

abroad hadeeth number 2 1 4 3 the Prophet said

that accidental glance is forbidden but do not look at the room in a key so

based on the verse of the Quran and the hadith but natural watching television

or watching any programs on the television or any movies in which the

woman aren't properly dressed they aren't doing the hijab and looking at

them and staring at them and continuously observing them Haram and

all the more in the month of Ramadan it is more bad the fast will not be

invalidated but the rewards that the person will get which will be diminished

and if you continue it does not only mean watching television even reading

magazines even newspapers and today as you all know that most of the magazine's

most of the newspapers they have photographs of ladies who are not

properly dressed of seeing photographs and that reminds me that previously

maybe 10 15 years back hardly any newspapers the day discover that he had

that you get in one band in India then contain any photograph which obscene but

as time went on you know even Indians are following the Western culture and

you find that almost all the newspapers the daily newspapers they have

photographs of ladies on a properly dressed and some people had photographs

in the attached section now you have them in the front page also if you

imagine reading these normally is wrong and run down all the words wrong you

open the paper you're fasting and you see a lady who's not properly dressed up

or she they invaded with clothes you know just to sell the paper so all these

things are private it normally also all the more when you fasting some Honolua

another question from one of the viewers viewer wants to know he says during one

of the iftar parties I attended when it's senior person entered the room

many people stood up to welcome him is this a permitted act

many people say it isn't is it a permitted act as far as standing up for

someone to win it him it's not permitting you some but if you stand up

being the host to welcome some gifts or if you want to send up to welcome him or

shake his hand that is good manners to stand up while

shaking somebody in hand but for the host then it guests are coming that's

perfectly fine it's a good Act it's good magnificent enough but standing at the

door without getting anyone without shaking hands just for respect just for

my narration that's not permitted but if you're welcoming someone or if you're

sitting in office and someone comes a guest comes Andrew shaking hand whipping

and then you stand up for shaking hands it's for welcoming it is considered as a

good habit and if the Sunnah and there are various hadith we speak about this

for example if you read the hadith which is mentioned in Timothy Adi number three

eight seven - it says that preferred muscle loss column he used to stand up

for Fatima and Fatima is to stand up for him it's infamous alehsalaam you should

stand up for his daughter Fatima Allah be pleased with her and she used to do

the same for her father puffiness rustle indicating their standing up it's not

harm and it's committed and furthermore their hadith mention is a Bihari hadith

number 3 0 4 3 where the Sahaba stood up on the command of prophet musa

alehsalaam when sadly Maud he came to give the

judgment on Banu Qurayza that means prophet said that through the subasta

salabanzi showed up to welcome the other Sabha and further isfinite in say

bukhari hadith number 4 for one it it says that Allah may Allah be pleased

with him he stood up and shook the hands of another faba crab Abdul Malik when he

depended to Allah and Allah accepted expended

who here shows that once our by standing in front of the prophet the prophet of

present day to welcome their the when you should hang with him read says

that for welcoming for greeting for shaking hand if you stand up it

permitted it's a fun man in fact it's preferable it's encouraged

at the same time we have various other hadeeth it with the hadith of son una

without a date number five to one month way it says that when the Prophet

entered leaning on a stick the Sahaba stood up and the Prophet

objection said that do you want to stand and give respects like the followers do

I know that this is inter maybe hundred number 275 for the Saba never stood up

for the Prophet because the knew that the Prophet did not like them standing

for him we have seen all these various had he to come to know that in different

occasions sometimes permitted sometimes it is mas table sometimes it is Maru

discourage and remit Haram and Sheikh bin baz when he was as the fatwa

MLM Oceanian ray mullah when he was as the fatwa he categorized in three

different categories he said that if a person stands up from marinating someone

else who's sitting down like the people did to the portion T it is harm because

the Prophet did not like it and the Prophet said in hadith that when he was

sitting led them in prayer and the sava stood up he said that don't stand up

when I'm sitting do not venerate me like the portions into the key so standing up

for someone for respect for veneration when he's sitting down it is haram the

second category is when someone walks in you stand up but don't shake his hand

don't wish him Salaam and when you sit you sit or when he's leaving even you

send up without shaking your hand without reaching goodbye so this is Maru

wherever mentioned the several hadith that the Sabhas did not sign up for the

Prophet the Prophet in like it but the third category is when you stand up for

greeting someone for welcoming someone when you shake hands with him this is

Musab it's encouraged it's the Sunnah of the

Prophet so standing up for shaking somebody's hand or welcoming someone and

giving him this is stop it a good manner and so not the

profit when you get Islander delivering etiquette sir dr. Zakir just Alcala here

for once again your prompt and very good answers to the questions that the

audience of coast today dear brothers and sisters in Islam I hope you enjoyed

it I hope you got benefit even I hope that some of your questions were

answered today so please do join us at the same time tomorrow when we will be

discussing Ramadan the month of the Quran

part 1 assalamu aleikum what i want to lie or barakat

Whatever Happened To Rachel Zoe - Duration: 5:54.

Born on September 1, 1971 in New York, Rachel Zoe first made a name for herself as a celebrity

stylist, but told Elle back in 2015, "I thought I'd be a restaurant hostess for the rest of

my life."

"You know, being cool."

"I'm so not about being cool I'm kinda a big fashion geek.

I'm fine with it."

Instead, she became synonymous with Hollywood's biggest names and the online fashion blog

The Zoe Report.

But following her meteoric rise to fame in the early 2010s, sparked by her reality show,

The Rachel Zoe Project, Zoe has nearly disappeared from the limelight.

Let's take a closer look at exactly what this fashionista's been up to.

"I'm really proud like I have the most amazing team and I think this is kinda where you see

it come to light."

Rise to fame

Zoe started out as an assistant at YM, after graduating college.

In just two years, she was promoted to senior fashion editor and then, she, quote, "decided

I'd be better off leaving my job to freelance as a stylist."

Working her YM industry connections, Zoe landed her big break, telling Elle, "I met Jennifer

Garner's publicist, and she hired me to style Jen for the Emmys at the last minute.

This was my first big job working with an actress, and her being seen in the glamorous

look I selected changed everything for me."

Fame and the 2008 premiere of The Rachel Zoe Project on Bravo would happen in the years

that followed — but it wouldn't last forever.

Must (not) see TV

"And pose."

"Ehh."

"Do you think it's good?"

"Out of control."

"Oh my gosh"

"Ba-nanas."

In 2013, Bravo announced that it would not renew The Rachel Zoe Project.

According to a source for RadarOnline, "Viewers loved the drama of Rachel's staff" but after

she fired two of her most popular employees, Brad Goreski and Taylor Jacobson, there wasn't

enough drama left to save ratings.

Zoe later returned to the small screen in 2015 with Lifetime's Fashionably Late with

Rachel Zoe.

"It took me a while to get back on TV I kinda had to wait for the right..

The right thing the right time and everything something that felt right and this just feels

so natural to me."

Haute mama

After tying the knot in 1996, Zoe and hubby, Rodger Berman, welcomed their first son, Skyler,

in 2011.

Then, in 2013 and the pair had their second son, Kaius.

Zoe immediately embraced motherhood, even cancelling her New York Fashion Week show,

following Kaius' birth.

"It's unfathomable love you know, and I think watching it I mean Rodger and I both get very

very teared up."

Zoe gushed to People, "They're both equally amazing, just totally different and delicious.

Skyler is me and Kaius is [my husband] in every way."

In 2017, the 45-year-old mom threw her boys the ultimate birthday party, with "65 kids,

30 reptiles and a 20 foot T-rex!"

Making herstory

In March of 2017, Zoe found a new outlet: Instagram Stories.

Harnessing the power of the Snapchat-like feature, Zoe now connects with her fans via

two-minute videos shot by her husband, Rodger.

She has dubbed the project Real Life With Rachel Zoe, sharing new clips every Sunday,

and telling WWD, "I think that given what social media has become in our universe, it's

just totally natural.

They want things that are quick, funny, fast, and not overproduced."

High-tech style

In an April 2017 collaboration with Google, Zoe was tapped to create a dozen stylish phone

cases, which retailed at 40 bucks a pop.

The Rachel Zoe Live Case collection features designs inspired by her fall ready-to-wear

collection.

Once snapped onto the phone, the cases sync with the device, pulling up custom wallpapers

that perfectly match the case.

That's...zoe amazing.

Zoe teamed up with Paul Frank in April 2017 to release a stylish collection for kids.

She told InStyle, "They invited me to their fashion show in 2015 and I went with Skyler,

my older son, and my husband, and we had so much fun."

Zoe revealed, "Since I was pregnant, everyone has asked me 'when are you going to do kids?'...So

when Paul Frank approached me about doing this collection I was like, well this is sort

of the perfect way to get my feet wet and dive in and see what it's all about."

A good cause

In 2017, Zoe signed on with Moms +SocialGood, a United Nations Foundation and Johnson & Johnson

initiative, which aims to, quote, "share ideas, inspire action, and tackle some of the world's

most critical challenges facing the well-being of moms and their families around the world."

Zoe was brought on board as an A-list speaker to help "leverage the power of social media

to connect these passionate experts, advocates, and parents, with others around the world,

making it a truly global event."

Coachella bella

Zoe's Palm Springs event of the year, ZOEasis, is, quote, "arguably the most fashionable

fête at Coachella."

VIP guests — including style influencers, models and It-girls — are treated to what

Magnetic Magazine calls "a labyrinth of luxury."

The grounds of the 2017 bash included everything from a gourmet coffee bar, to a mini nail

salon, an ice cream counter, DIY jewelry space, and — and of course, plenty of cocktails

and swag!

Princess dreams

Despite having worked with some of the biggest celebs in the business — from Kate Hudson

to Jennifer Lawrence — Zoe still has one dream client that she has yet to collaborate

with.

She revealed to HELLO!, "I'm obsessed with the royals.

I love Kate Middleton.

I love her.

She's amazing.

I want to dress her...I feel like Kate wears a lot of lace and a lot of color and a lot

of jewel tones and she's such a classic beauty.

I would make her anything!"

A box of Zoe

Want $400 worth of "Rachel Zoe lifestyle" delivered right to your door?

There's a box for that!

Each quarterly Box of Style includes fashionista must-haves perfectly tailored to each season,

all curated by Zoe and co.

"Hello gorgeous! It's so cute... It just makes you feel better at that moment so right away you're happy

when you open a box of style."

First launched in March of 2015, the box delivers a mix of fashion, beauty and lifestyle staples

and treats.

Spring 2017's box included goodies by Tatcha, and a Stella Artois chalice in support of

Water.org's efforts to provide safe drinking water for developing countries.

Fabulous future

These days Rachel Zoe may be going less public, but that doesn't mean she's slowing down.

Juggling parenting, along with running her own business, designing several fashion collections

a year, and balancing an ongoing mix of fabulous side projects, it's safe to say this is one

fashionista who never sleeps.

Primer vistazo: fallas de desafío - Duration: 3:11.

Greetings, Nephalem.

Patch 2.6.0 is on its way and we're adding an exciting new feature

for all of you who love experimenting with new characters and builds.

I'm talking about Challenge Rifts!

Challenge Rifts are a special type of Nephalem Rift

that is completely generated by players like you.

It's an intense experience where you hop into the shoes

of another player's character, master their build

and crush the records of your friends and the rest of the community.

To generate each Challenge Rift

we take a snapshot of a real player's Greater Rift run.

Everything is captured by this snapshot

from the gear and skills this player had equipped

to the exact location and enemy spawns from the Greater Rift they completed.

When you begin the Challenge Rift

you'll be tasked with beating the original player's completion time

The first time you complete this challenge

you can claim a sweet satchel loaded with crafting materials and blood shards

through the in-game mail menu.

Just log into the character you want to have the reward and BAM!

Loot galore.

If you'd like to get to know the build

several tools are available in the Challenge Hub for practice.

First, you can check out the full scope of the character in the Soul Mirror

which shows the skills, items

and Kanai's Cube powers you have available.

While you won't be able to change these skills or items

you can move the skills around to any appropriate slot on the skill bar.

To test your abilities against a single tough foe

head to the left side of the map.

For weaker, numerous enemies, head to the right side of the map.

If you'd like to check your current best time

just open your leaderboard menu.

There, you'll be able to compare it

with those of your friends or the rest of the community.

While the reward can only be earned once per Challenge Rift,

competing against your peers to tighten your time

and perfect your skills can be a great change of pace

from regular gameplay.

Mastering a Challenge Rift

fundamentally changes your approach to playing Diablo III

and it requires skill mastery, item knowledge

and memorization of the challenges ahead of you.

And who knows, maybe trying out someone else's build

will inspire you to try something new!

Challenge Rifts feature builds captured from a wide variety of players.

They might be out of the ordinary and will showcase a variety of play style.

They might be farming sets, a Hodge-podge of Legendaries

from the beginning of the season

or something unconventional you've never seen before.

Half the fun of Challenge Rifts is figuring out what works,

what doesn't, and mastering the tools you've been given.

After all, everyone's on equal ground!

Since Challenge Rifts rotate regularly,

there will always be something new to try.

That's all we have for you today.

If you'd like to learn more about Challenge Rifts

head over to our website at Diablo3.com.

Thanks for joining us and we'll see you in Sanctuary!

The FUTURE of APPs - Duration: 6:10.

good morning Gornick morning today I'm going working in 24 hours oh that makes

no sense I'm going to work a 24-hour shift today so today's video can't

really be a vlog related one so I thought it would go into the garden here

and talk to you guys I think this is the best place I'm sorry if I squint a

little bit but I'm looking into like really bright stuff I thought we would

talk about the future up apps again today because I made a video about this

maybe half a year ago and it has changed a little bit this is not as general and

I'm going to try not to keep it as technical I realize that the last time

and most of my vlogs really are really technical see I really liked yesterday's

video and I'm gonna make more of those but I'm sorry if they are too technical

for something actually I don't think so I think most people are going to

understand everything that I've talked about and hopefully I'm going to try and

keep it that way all of the technical terms honestly if I don't explain it

it's not super important but see I started thinking about this when I was

in London actually I arrived to the airport about 19 hours early or

something like very early and it was ridiculous because I arrived so early

that I couldn't I couldn't check-in I couldn't go into the airport if like

through security so I ended up having to sit in the lobby and just sort of yeah

figure out my own stuff to do and so I started developing this app and image

recognition apps and right after I started oh I'm really sorry if it's

really windy I'm very sorry I'll try and cover up I can't really sit inside the

house so this is this will have to do and I started developing this image

recognition app and I really thought about it a lot

and this is like the new trend because there's come out some really new

software it's been out for a couple of years now but it's really started to get

really good now you can start learning the software and the images by itself

which is insane so now you can have your users help

develop a good app that can recognize different types of imagery and like

we've seen it from like Vivino and apps like those and that's definitely gonna

be the new thing it's gonna be image recognition app in general

so I started looking into that and I wanted to do one that made to like help

people pick out their shoes or their hats so there's something like that and

and a lot of works goes into it and it would be amazing to make it I'm

definitely not giving up on it but it has to be very specific and I've seen I

have a friend actually who's making one and of course I'm not

gonna like steal his idea I would never do that but the problem with all of

these apps are that they're very similar so as soon as you don't have a very

specific goal like for instance Vivino which is an app to recognize wine

bottles that's really all it does and that's a very specific thing but that's

also like now they have the database and you can't really compete with the

database they have so they definitely have the best blind recognition app so

you need to find a topic like that and we're gonna see a lot of them come out

who uses barcodes and that's the like there's no multiple angles so as long as

you have a couple pictures of a barcode you kind of have enough to be consistent

in your recognition so I can definitely see that being like sort of the start of

it but I really can't wait to see the entire wave of like image recognition

like there's gonna be apps where you can just sit watching the TV for instance

and then pause it and take a picture of someone's hat and then buy it straight

from your iPhone like that's gonna come out in a few years and I think it's a

really brilliant idea but it's just building up the database to be able to

do that with every single product out there it's just not possible right now

so it's very interesting to see when that will be possible and I thought it

would be pretty interesting to mention especially because my my blog is very

app my minded lately and I love that I really love apps and that's probably

gonna be what I'm gonna be working on the rest of my life so I'm not gonna

turn that down but I'm not trying not to make it as technical so even for all the

people out there who doesn't care about apps like I still think this is a very

interesting thing like being to be able to just snap a picture of someone's

shoes and then buy them straight from the same app is amazing to me and I

really hope that's gonna come out soon the technology is there now at least we

just need the databases so that like the databases basically needs to have about

50 pictures of every type of shoe so that's what I mean when I say user

driven and databases because then whenever a person takes a picture of a

shoe you have a picture of that shoe in your database

and you need well you need more than 50 pictures of each shoe but if you have

about 50 pictures of each shoe you can have a a decent success rate with the

the recognition software as it is right now if I really think that's very doable

50 pictures is a lot but let's say you have all the wine bottles in the world

like getting 50 50 pictures of those is not impossible like not at all

impossible so yeah it's a it's very interesting and I really hope that

that's gonna be coming out soon and I'm really sure that today's video is not

gonna be any longer but I need to go to work and I need to leave here in a very

short amount of time I think I have like half an hour to edit this and upload it

before I have to drive all the way to 2e Cass where I work but before I sign out

like a big quick update in regards to the university stuff they called me

yesterday and I missed the call because I was outside for like 10 minutes and

then I came in they the head cold which of course is unlucky but hopefully

they're gonna call again today like we are a lot fingers crossed Vidya it catch

me on instagram at Jonas is live and if you have anything like you'd like to

discuss link a lot of people do just let me know in the comments down below or PM

me and I really do get back to every single one my channel is still very

small so I have enough time to reply to every single one of you yeah that's

gonna be it for this video guys thank you so very much for watching and let me

know what you guys think like is image recognition going to be the next big app

thing or is it not it's a new way of gonna come in and sweep it like we saw

with the the VR headsets for instance yeah enough about that and I'll see you

guys tomorrow take care

I got a condo in the head baby go watch you and your lesson buddy

Watch Our Dads Attempt To Style Our Hair 😅 - Duration: 9:33.

Hey, I'm Devri

I'm Virgina!

And I'm Cristina, and today we are bringing our dads into the NaturallyCurly office to

do our hair.

Yikes.

[laughs]

Well, when I was asked if I wanted to participate in this video, I was a little hesitant, but

I asked my dad and he seemed to be totally game which is very much representative of

who my dad is.

Oh, I didn't know I was supposed to do anything to her hair.

I thought it looked good the way it--- no.

Um, so I'm gonna do some twists for her hair.

I've chosen a really kind of complicated Pinterest hairstyle.

The blondes with the impossible [chuckles] like, interwoven braids.

As fas as fixing it, arranging it, styling it, I'm not your guy.

Um, that's because I have no sense of style.

My dad's really chill.

Pretty much me without lipstick.

So, yeah!

I'm here today to spend some time with my daughter, uh, doing her hair.

Something I haven't done since she was a young girl.

He asked if he was-- if this video was gonna make his hair curly and if he needed hair

to be in the video.

Cristina's hair is great.

I wish I had hair like that.

I wish I had hair!

It's nice and curly.

I like the fact that it's natural.

I like the fact that it doesn't have a lot of chemicals on it.

She looks cool with it.

I do have some thoughts in mind that I'd like to try.

They'll be simple.

My dad would do this really weird thing where he felt like the best angle to do my hair

was if I was lying flat?

So he would like lay me on the bed and then like start doing a twist on one side, and

another side, and then this weird one in the back.

It's been a few years since I last did her hair.

Generally three braids and barrettes.

When my dad would dry my hair, he would do that thing with the towel that was like this,

like a dog.

It'll be a shame what it looks like after I'm done with it today.

We might be just two deer in a headlight.

Look, as long as we just work together, then it shouldn't be too bad.

We'll see.

- Are you ready for this? - [sighs] As ready as I'll ever be.

- It's been quite a while...

- This is so awkward! [laughs]

- Oh no!!

Okay... [both laugh]

- So my dad and I are gonna do a ninja bun today.

- Remember how you used to do the twists?

- Yeah.

- You did three.

Now, you're gonna multiply that by like ten.

- Right. - Okay.

- Now, take a little, smaller section from---

- There's none left. - Okay--- [laughs]

- Wow. Alright, I don't think I started out well, so...okay... [Cristina laughs]

- So let me try to weave through some of this...

- If you need to use water to kinda-- - Some Curl Keeper H20.

Awesome.

- [Devri laughs] - This is exactly what I need right now.

- That's avocado oil.

- She likes avocado oil. - Okay, okay, that's enough.

- She pushes that. - That's enough oil. That's a lot.

- Ready?

- Then at the end, she just goes "twist, twist, twist", and you gotta hold on to it with something.

- Yeah, we've got some stuff here.

- Staples.

[laughs] - Did I get your hair?

- Yeah, that was my face.

- I'm gonna grab one of these brushes here.

- [Devri chuckles] - I don't know if that was the right idea.

- It's okay.

- Oh, you know what?

- That's three strands.

- I'm braiding it.

I didn't wanna do that.

- Can you count?

Did they teach you that in law school?

- [Dad chuckles] I just reverted back!

- Pull it over...

- No, no, no -- under.

Under. - Under?

- You're always going to twist like this.

- Say that again now?

- So what I'm doing, I'm grabbing a...

I started to say clump of hair, but she wouldn't like me to say that, um..

I begin twisting.

Just one over the other.

- Over...then some from here.

Under...

- See, it's easy!

- Yeah, but you don't know what it looks like!

- [Cristina laughs]

- This would be good for like, my baby hairs.

In the front.

You know what baby hairs are, right?

- Mmhm? - Okay.

- When you were a baby?

[chuckles] - Well I mean, I'm not a baby and that's the

end. I'm talking about right here.

- Well, you're doing a good job.

Minus the, um-- I'd like to see better execution.

I'm not gonna lie.

- Okay.

- It seems like...

- At the ends? -...once you get to the ends, you just either

like, lose focus?

- Or... - [Dad chuckles]

- Tell me if this hurts.

- It doesn't hurt.

[both laugh] - It's kind of painful for me.

[Cristina laughs]

- What if we can't get the rubber band off at the end?

- Ow! [laughs] - There.

Sorry about that.

- Was it difficult for you?

You did mine and DD's hair.

- We might need help with this.

Uh, yes, actually I did.

I have two daughters.

- This might be the best twist yet.

- Oooh, you got a good one back there?

- Oh yeah.

- That's a good looking twist!

- Let's just take a second to honor this! - Look at that, told you!

- Hmm. I can't get it out.

- I think I have to start over. - No!! Don't start over! [both laugh]

- Pity the poor other dads that are doing this today.

- Well, the other dads I don't think are doing as um, complicated of hairstyles.

- Oh!!

So you gave me the most complicated one?

- Yeah.

- Do it tight.

[laughs] And, uh, yes give me a facelift.

- I did notice that the clumps of hair, as you so eloquently put it last time, have gotten

larger?

- Hmm, I don't know why that is!

- Is it because you are getting tired, you just don't want to admit it, so you thought

that you could just... - [laughs] Feel like there's so much more

there is to do here... - Exactly.

- So if it was a more complicated braid like a fishtail that takes more than just two hands,

my mom would call in my dad to help.

- Yeah!!

- But he would just like, hold a section.

Do you remember that?

- I'm better at just holding.

Yeah,

- So we got your bun set up here.

- Thank you.

- And we're gonna work on the back and fluff it up and get it a little moisturized.

- Alright [laughs].

- Tilt your head a little bit and show 'em my handiwork here.

[Devri laughs]

- But basically, now that we're done with this, we would just take it all out.

So we'll just take the end and we'll just start to unravel.

- ...Nail it in place.

- [Cristina laughs] - Is that it?

- Those are bobby pins!

- There, there!

- You did that faster than she did it!

- Oh yeah, I'm better than she is.

- Do you want a straight part, or...? - I mean, preferably.

- Okay.

There you go.

And then I'm gonna hand you a bobby pin, and that's how we're gonna secure it.

- I don't work with bobby pins.

- Now just hold it in one place.

- There we go.

- There we go, thank you.

- And I will twist it like this.

- It's a little off center, but whatever it's all good.

- Well, I did accomplish one thing and I got her line straight, and that's a big plus for

me.

- Yeah, thank you for that!

That means a lot to me to have-- 'cause when I'm doing my own hair I can't see if it's

a straight line, so that's more than what I could do.

- I would recommend everybody have boys.

- [laughs] No, you can't say that!!!

- Oh!

But girls are nice too.

- It's sort of all curly that it's kind of naturally all twisted together.

- That's not bad!

Okay, so then we're gonna pull it over.

- There's a few strands that, you know, I guess that aren't as curly as we might have

liked, but we're just gonna tuck those.

- But that's in part because we...

- About time.

Yeah, I don't think that was-- it wasn't technique.

Your technique was close to being flawless.

- It feels good.

How does it look?

Be honest.

- Looks good to me.

- It looks good?

- It does. It looks actually really good.

- I like that. - Thank you. - Ninja bun!

- Is it finished?

- Um...yeah it looks great! [both laugh]

- It might kind of look like I didn't do anything, but um--

- You did a great job!

- Thanks!

- Proud of you. - I had a great coach.

- Fist pound.

Whew!

That took a little bit out of me.

It was fun!

Despite what you may have seen on film, that was pretty difficult for me.

I came in here with low expectations and exceeded those.

Thank God I'm not tenderheaded because that would have hurt.

So this is my finished look.

I'm actually really happy with it.

Dad really helped me like, get some length going.

You know, I feel like it was really stretched.

He gave me these two slightly lopsided [Dad laughs off camera] but otherwise really cool twist-arounds.

Yeah, the style.

That is uh, what I would call a double crossover fishtail.

Because it looks like two tails of fish, one poked through the other, and then the whole

thing kind of gets shredded at the bottom when you're all done.

And I think it looks relatively nice!

Not as nice I'm sure as if she had done it by herself, but... not bad for the B-team.

Overall I mean, Dad's hired!

I think he did alright given the fact that it was, I don't know, like over twenty years

since he's done my hair.

I wouldn't wanna do it again unless absolutely necessary.

Uh, but I did prove to myself that it's still possible to do that.

I probably won't be doing this full time.

I think I'll just keep the job that I have.

Except for a small bump over here, I would wear this out.

Would I ask him to do it again, no.

But you know, it was a good experience!

My advice is appreciate your fathers, young ladies.

And Dads - great job.

- Well guys, that was quite the adventure.

- Thank you to our dads for being such great sports.

- And comment below. Tell us -- did your dad do your hair when you were growing up?

- Like this video if you liked it, and share it and subscribe to us,

- And we post every Friday, so we'll see you next week.

- [All] Bye!

CA: I'm not going to answer that, but I can help you with your problem.

A: I'm listening...

CA: Have you tried Lunapads?

A: Luna-what?

CA: Lunapads! They're reusable cloth pads.

reusable pads when I can just go out to the store and buy one?

CA: Yeah you could just buy pads
