RAVEN ROCK THE US GOVERNMENT'S ONGOING PLAN TO SAVE ITSELF IN NUCLEAR WAR

A new book has revealed that during the Cold War, the United States government considered

all possible outcomes of the nuclear arms race with Russia and genuinely believed that

a nuclear strike by the Soviet Union was a real possibility.

In response, the government had nuclear bunkers constructed underneath the earth all around

the country, but these bunkers were not created to protect the American people.

Garrett M. Graff in his new book �Raven Rock: The Story of the US Government�s Secret

Plan to Save Itself� claims that all of the administrations in the years of the Cold

War were well aware that Russia could annihilate the population of the United States if they

decided to launch a nuclear strike.

While they told the people that they believed that a nuclear strike was survivable, they

realized that there was no way that they could viably protect the population.

Graff writes that their conclusion was to ensure that they could protect themselves

while leaving the rest of the country to their fate.

Secretly, the government set about building some facilities inside America�s mountains

that were capable of surviving a nuclear blast.

There were also a huge number of renovations made to the White House and all of the staff

members were issued with gas masks.

It is alleged that Roosevelt had his gas mask on hand at all times as it was attached to

his wheelchair.

A bunker was also built underneath the lawn of the White House which was capable of housing

100 people in the event of a nuclear strike.

While this secret bunker was never actually used in the course of the Cold War, it was

opened and occupied during September 11th to ensure the safety of the President and

key personnel.

In addition to the bunker underneath the White House, the government also constructed several

other nuclear-proof facilities.

One is located at Raven Rock in Pennsylvania and is believed to be linked to Camp David

by a secret tunnel.

In addition to the famous facility in Colorado Springs which is operated by NORAD there are

also two facilities located in Peters Mountain and Mount Weather (both in Virginia) which

are designated to house top officials of the US government and 6500 other individuals who

are considered essential to rebuild the country in the event of a disaster.

In his book, Graff also reveals the extent to which the United States was prepared to

destroy Russia in a nuclear war.

The Pentagon is alleged to have drawn up a list of forty-nine Russian cities that they

would destroy in the event of a nuclear war to completely paralyze the Soviet Union.

It was this report that set in process the arms race between the United States and the

Soviet Union.

At the time it was written, the United States had only thirteen nuclear warheads.

Now the country is in possession of an astonishing 6800 nuclear weapons.

(Airsoft) Unboxing the HK45 Tactical Tokyo Marui - Duration: 12:03.

Hello YouTube, welcome to this new Unboxing video !

Today I show you the HK45 Tactical from Tokyo Marui

It comes from Impulse101 where it's available for 17380 yens, which is about 145 euros

This is a "tactical" variant of the HK45 I already showed on my channel

I really like the HK45 Marui and I decided to buy this model in order to build myself a hybrid between the two versions (more about that later)

Here is the box and now the inside of the box

We have the gun of course, we have the silencer, which comes with the HK45 Tactical, a magazine

We have a backstrap here (small), which point is to make the grip a bit smaller if you need

The gun comes with a threaded barrel on which you can screw the silencer, or the thread protector which also comes with the gun

The gun comes with a FDE color body, I don't think any other color is available right now

I prefer the black version, so in the end I'll use the upper of this version on the lower of the original HK45

As usual the packaging is really cool, it looks awesome and it also protects the products well

Let's put the silencer... The thread is 16 mm CW

And here is the HK45 Tactical

So, where to begin... What is the HK45 ? A pistol from H&K, basically the grandson of the MK23

It's a full size pistol chambered for the .45 ACP, which has a low capacity of only 10 rounds

In comparison a FN FNX45 carries 15 rounds of .45 ACP

The HK45 actually carries less cartridges than the USP (12 cartridges), which seems odd

I would assume that H&K made the choice to make the gun as comfortable as possible to hold, and the grip indeed feels very nice in the hand

I really like the ergonomics of the gun, which is one of the reason why I used it a lot in games

Also, in airsoft, having the replica of a double stack .45 pistol comes with an advantage : big magazines, which carry a lot of gas

So this is the HK45 Tactical, I brought the original HK45 so we can make a comparison, we'll see the few differences

The most obvious one of the color, black for the original, FDE for the tactical

The HK45 Tactical comes with a threaded barrel

We have an ambidextrous safety lever on the tactical model, it's only on the left side on the original

Which is actually something I prefer on the original model, I don't like the ambidextrous lever, especially when you want to decock the hammer

On the HK45, you have a safety you can put on whether the hammer is armed or not

And when the hammer is armed, pushing down the lever decocks the hammer

Very easy to do with the original HK45

But on the tactical model, my finger gets in the way of the lever, which doesn't make it as easy to use

It's not a big deal I guess, but between the two versions I prefer the non ambidextrous one

Another little detail : the rear sight, both models doesn't share the same one

You could think that the tactical model has higher sights, for easier use with a silencer on

But actually it doesn't, the sights are the same height on both models, despite the rear sight difference

It's possible to aim with the silencer on though

But why the rear sight is different... I'm not sure to have an answer

A little detail I like on the HK45 : here you have the typical H&K ambidextrous paddle mag release

I like to use my index finger to use it, feels natural enough to me

If you push the paddle very briefly, the mag will move just a little bit and will stay blocked inside the grip

I'm not sure to know if it's made on purpose or not, but the good thing is that if the paddle is pressed by accident, it lowers the chances you'll lose your mag on the field

Also, it's possible to adjust the hop up without removing the slide

The wheel is just here, you can adjust it with your finger, assuming it's thin enough

To disassembly the slide : remove the magazine, pull the slide and remove the slide release lever

Easier to move the wheel this way

A last detail on the HK45 : on a real HK45, the slide release lever makes contact with the slide just here

Since the real one has steel parts it's no big deal, but on this airsoft version, a metal part on a plastic slide wouldn't be a good thing

So on this Marui model, the "external" slide release lever doesn't actually act as a slide stop ; what actually blocks the slide is this internal part

It works as good and it doesn't damage the slide

A last difference between the two models : the external barrel

Apart from the threaded barrel, you can tell that the base of the barrel on the tactical model is a bit different

I'm not sure to understand what it does, but I'm going to assume it's here to assure a better cycling when you use the silencer

Marui acknowledged the fact that putting a silencer on will put more stress on the barrel and they did something about it

In general, when you put a silencer on your GBB it's not going to work as well, it will need more energy to cycle the slide

We'll see in the shooting video how it performs

I guess I said everything I had to say about the HK45 Tactical, which doesn't have a lot of differences with the original HK45 I alreadt own

A GBB I really like, good out of the box performances, good cool down resistance, nice kick, feels very comfortable in the hand

Now with this "tactical" model you have the possibility to make it a bit more fancy

The silencer itself is made of metal, yet it's still very light

There is foam inside

Of course, it's still a GBB, it makes a lot of sound from the blowback itself, putting a silencer isn't going to make it a lot more discreet

In Airsoft, silencers mostly work on NBB and bolt sniper rifles

But GBB, with or without silencers, always make a lot of sound

My Uterus Has An IUD (Pt.2) - Duration: 5:49.

So didn't anticipate not wanting to reach for my camera

at all during this appointment.

Vlogging was the last thing on my mind

when I got into the doctor's office.

So I'm going to tell you about my IUD

story of getting it.

I'm also going to be eating my breakfast.

So I got my IUD Thursday, the 15th.

My boyfriend took me to the doctors at like 9 in the morning.

I waited in the waiting room for like 45 minutes.

And then I went in, they gave me this

like paper dress to wear because I also had to get a pap smear.

So my doctor's really great, she discussed

everything that we were going to be doing with me.

I laid down on my back, I had to scoot my butt to the very edge

and put my feet in the straps.

Which that is the most unnatural position

I have ever been put in.

So she got that clamp thing, I don't

remember what it was called.

But it opens your vagina up.

She put that in, that felt fine.

She did the pap smear.

I didn't feel that whatsoever.

And I think that has to do with

some nerve damage I probably have in my vagina.

But the kind of confirmed it a bit for me.

Then we were getting ready for the IUD.

So the first thing she had to do for my IUD

is she had to, she had to look at my cervix

and then dilate it.

That was painful but it wasn't unbearable.

It was an uncomfortable kind of pain.

When she dilated it, she told me "you're going to feel

period cramps right now."

And as soon as she said that, I felt period cramps.

It felt like just a pretty bad period.

I also felt like I had to poop.

Which when I'm on my period, that's a feeling I always have.

But it wasn't too bad.

After she did that,

she told the nurse to give her the Skyla box

because that's the IUD I picked.

Mind you Skyla is like this big

and the box that it came in was like this big.

And even sh- like I guess I made a face

and she laughed at me, she's like "I know,

I don't understand why they put it in such a big box."

So she got the IUD out and

she told me the worse pain is over

from when she dilated me but

it wasn't really that painful for me.

But she said this is going to hurt a little bit.

So she put the IUD in,

that pain was also very uncomfortable.

But it wasn't excruciating.

I was just doing breathing stuff like I normally do

to handle pain.

It was just so uncomfortable

and I could feel my uterus just not wanting things

to be done to it.

Uh, after she put it in she cut the strings.

Because you have little strings hanging in your vagina

close to your cervix.

She told me my body was going to have cramps and contractions.

And oh boy was she right.

So the whole insertion of the IUD

was not that painful for me.

But the period cramps and the contractions

that came the rest of the day sucked.

It would fluctuate for me, I would feel fine

and then I would get very bad contractions.

I would feel fine and then again bad contractions.

And it was the most annoying thing.

My boyfriend had to go and get me medicine.

I did spot for a little bit

and then the next day I didn't really bleed or anything.

And then um...

the day after that I started bleeding.

Which is normal, apparently you do spot and bleed

for a while, sometimes for months.

Uh cramps are also normal.

So I was getting still cramps after that.

And now I'm on my period.

So I don't know if I'm still bleeding

from getting the IUD.

But I'm definitely on my period.

And that's pretty much it for me, I have a 1 month appointment.

Next month so she can check and make sure everything is good.

I'm hoping uh skyla gets rid of my period

for a while because that's apparently a thing.

But I'm happy.

Uh my mental state, the day after

I got the IUD

I felt such a difference.

My head started feeling clear,

I started just feeling happy again.

And feeling like me.

You know I told my boyfriend that I still have anxiety

I still have depression but

the problem was when I was on the patch

my coping mechanisms to get through my anxiety

to get through my depression that I personally use

they weren't working and that was hard

on the patch, it was hard to do and deal with my mental state

but so far being on this IUD

all of my ways to get through my anxiety

and my depression, they have been working.

And I just feel free.

I chose Skyla which is a low hormone IUD

and since it's low hormone it's just centralized in my uterus.

It's not going anywhere else, which is fantastic.

But that's my IUD...experience.

I think it wasn't extremely painful like everyone told me it was going to be

probably because I'm disabled.

I have a higher pain tolerance than most people.

So I think why it wasn't painful for me

is because I've felt way worse pain than getting an IUD.

Honestly my brain surgery was the worst pain I've ever had.

So the IUD was just...it was still painful

but it was uncomfortable.

And it wasn't like I couldn't deal with it.

Have I ever told you that you're Super...cat tales.

This game is inspired by retro platformers and it is also fun and adorable.

Tap left and right to steer Alex the Cat around.

To climb walls just keep moving in that direction.

If you need to jump from one to the other just tap in the opposite direction of the

wall you're currently on.

Try to collects coins and bells along the way.

With enough coins you can buy helpers at the store.

Don't stress about collecting every bell but keep in mind you'll need a certain amount

to proceed to new levels.

As you go new challenges will arrive like jumping from platform to platform.

To do this double tap and hold to run.

Even further in the game there will be jerks...I mean obstacles that cause you to lose points

when you come into contact.

If it happens too many times you'll die.

So start over again but be more careful.

Sometimes monkeys will try to hit you with baseballs so do not trust them. You sneaky little monkeys.

Along the way you can unlock cats with different capabilities.

For example, Alex cannot smash through brick walls but Brutus can.

And Brutus cannot climb walls and scare monkeys the way Alex can.

Swimming through the water uses the same controls but you'll find yourself tapping more to

stay afloat.

You need to collect the key in the second to last level and use it to unlock the door

to the next world.

This game takes a lot of experimenting because the solution isn't alway obvious.

For example, to get out of this predicament you need to wait till the beetle is upside

down and then double tap to run into the wall.

So the fate of your cat depends on a variety of factors but to choose your own check out

Dofus Touch.

This MMO game takes you through worlds where you can interact with other players as well

as Non Playable characters.

To begin choose a character from a selection of classes.

Click on information to see what characteristics and skills it comes with.

You'll be guided through a couple of steps first like how to equip yourself and how to

battle characters.

This is done by tapping the screen to approach your opponent.

Then you take turns and cast the spells to try and defeat the enemy.

Each spell costs action points which will designate what you're able to use.

Completing quests is a way to gain experience points which in turn open up levels.

The economy is controlled by the players as well as many components in the game.

It feels almost endless with all the challenges, quests, monsters, and more so I'll leave it to you

to explore and discover while I go play

Rodeo Stampede.

Where you ride a buffalo and jump from one to another.

You do this by holding down to get your lasso ready and then tapping the next animal to

land on it.

Slide your finger to steer but sometimes it's easier to just ride another animal instead

of maneuvering through obstacles.

If you wait too long it will get angry and make it more difficult for you.

As you go new ones will pop up like zebras which you can befriend and then take sick

snapshots wit like this.

Or this.

But beware of walls and other animals because they'll kill you.

But if you're riding an elephant then no worries because it can just trample over all

other animals.

Now if steering animals is old news for you then steer a spacecraft and shoot enemies

down with Xenoraid which is a procedurally generated

shoote'm up game where the mission is to blast enemy ships before they get you first.

You'll be given a mission to complete and if you don't, they'll make you feel like

a failure but you're not and you'll get it next time sport!

Within each level are waves of new enemies.

You'll be warned about these by commander's speech bubbles on the side.

You'll also be warned when you're ship has been critically damaged but you have extra

ones to use when it's destroyed. If you can get through all the waves of a level then you've succeeded. Congratulations.

It's better to shoot at shorter distances if you're able to dodge attacks because

it's easier to blast them.

It's even easier to get them with a missile but unfortunately you have a limited number

of those.

And instead of blowing things let's blow minds with

Politaire a minimalistic game of poker mixed with solitaire.

So it's like solitaire but the goal is to develop poker hands.

Which can be done in several ways by swapping out a current card for another one in the

deck.

There isn't really winning in this game but it's fun to try to achieve the highest

score possible.

For example, getting one pair of the same number in the cards only gives you fourteen

points in this case but the higher the card the more points you score even if it's the

same hand.

When the cards are replaced sometimes it will develop new hands, most often one pair, and

you'll have a run of several at once.

This will give you quick points but not necessarily the highest you can achieve so try to be tactical

about it.
