Waching daily Jun 3 2017

The collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991 scattered its military hardware among twelve newly independent

republics.

One such piece of hardware was the relatively new aircraft carrier Baku.

Built in Ukraine, named after an Azeri city and inherited by Russia, today Baku is known

as the Vikramaditya, flagship of the Indian Navy.

A modern flat-top equipped with MiG-29 fighters and the most powerful ship native to the Indian

Ocean region, how Vikramaditya went from Soviet to Indian service is one of the more interesting

naval stories of the post–Cold War era.

As the navy of Eurasia's dominant land power, the Soviet Navy rarely received enough resources

to fulfill the wish lists of its admirals.

The Soviet Navy was largely restricted to two key missions: attacking and destroying

American capital ships, particularly aircraft carriers, and protecting bastions sheltering

the country's sea-based nuclear forces.

One class of ship, the Kiev class of heavy aviation cruisers, was designed to do both.

896 feet long and displacing forty-five thousand tons, the four ships of the Kiev class were

a combination guided-missile cruiser and aircraft carrier.

Each ship carried eight to twelve P-500 Bazalt supersonic antiship missiles, up to sixteen

Kamov Ka-25 antisubmarine warfare and utility helicopters, and a dozen or more Yak-38 fighters,

the Harrier jump jet's only peer.

Kiev and its sister ships Minsk, Novorossiysk and Baku could pursue American carriers, destroying

them with nuclear-tipped antiship cruise missiles, or protect Soviet ballistic-missile submarines

from surface and subsurface attack.

The breakup of the Soviet Union in 1991 left the newest heavy aviation cruiser, Baku, in

Russian hands and with an awkward name—Baku was now the capital of an independent Azerbaijan.

The ship was renamed Admiral Gorshkov, after the architect of the modern Soviet fleet,

but served for only five years on reduced status due to the financial chaos that followed

the USSR's breakup.

The ship's short career in the Russian Navy included a boiler accident that killed six

Russian sailors and injured many others.

Although the Gorshkov was returned to service a year later, the decision was made in 1996

to put it up for sale.

In the meantime, India was shopping for a new aircraft carrier, with the elderly INS

Viraat set to retire in 2007.

In 2004 India and Russia made a deal: India would receive the Gorshkov for free in exchange

for $974 million in repairs and upgrades.

The work would be done by Russia's Sevmash shipyards, which had long specialized in submarines

but had never worked on an aircraft carrier before.

Russia promised to transform the ship into a real aircraft carrier, removing the twelve

Bazalt antiship missiles and 192 SA-N-9 surface-to-air missiles.

In their place would go a full-length aircraft carrier flight deck just over nine hundred

feet long, and a ski ramp on the bow to assist jets in takeoff.

The revamped carrier could carry up to twenty-four MiG-29K naval fighters and another ten Kamov

helicopters.

The carrier would receive new air-surveillance radars, new boilers, arrestor wires for landing

aircraft, and deck elevators to transport aircraft from the hangar to the flight deck.

The work would be done by 2008, leaving India without a carrier for just one year.

The "new" carrier would be named Vikramaditya after a first-century Indian emperor.

In 2007, with delivery to India just around the corner, Sevmash reported Vikramaditya

was only 49 percent complete and that cost overruns would cost the Indian Navy another

$2 billion.

After years of haggling and the intervention of then Russian president Dmitri Medvedev,

New Delhi agreed to a final budget of $2.23 billion.

The ship entered sea trials in 2012 and was commissioned into the Indian Navy as INS Vikramaditya

in November 2013.

Vikramaditya's air wing normally consists of sixteen MiG-29K fighters and up to ten

Kamov, Chetak and Sea King helicopters.

The Indian Navy purchased forty-five MiG-29Ks, but even these have not been without controversy:

62 percent of the engines purchased to go along with the twin-engine fighters were rejected

due to "design-related defects" and the reliability rate of the planes themselves

range from a poor 40 percent to a dismal 20 percent.

This is particularly troubling as the fighter is meant to equip India's first domestically

produced aircraft carrier, Vikrant, and its third carrier, Vishal.

Problems with the fighters forced Vikramaditya to stay within a two-hundred-mile radius of

an airfield on land, in order to give pilots a chance of landing their planes in case one

engine failed.

In 2015, Indian officials even asked Russian Aircraft Corporation, manufacturer of the

MiG jet, to demonstrate a single-engine landing on the carrier.

Vikramaditya also had issues with self-defense weapons—it had far too few of them.

It had only four AK-360 close-in weapon systems similar to the American Phalanx CIWS, but

with thirty-millimeter rather than twenty-millimeter gun barrels.

As a result, the ship was forced to rely on its escorts, particularly the Kolkata-class

destroyers with their Barak-8 medium-range surface-to-air missiles.

To remedy the problem, the Indian Navy stripped the decommissioned guided missile frigate

INS Godavari of its Barak-1 short-range surface-to-air missiles and installed them on Vikramaditya

instead.

Similar to the American RAM point-defense missile, Barak-1 has a range from a third

of a mile to seven miles.

India's Russian carrier represents a high point in Indian naval power, albeit one that

is marred by serious technical problems.

For its part, India is taking matters into its own hands by building its next two carriers

itself.

While Vikramaditya's saga may be an interesting one, it's certainly one New Delhi would

prefer not to repeat.

Forging A Viking Broad Seax: Twisting Bars (Breitsax Ep. 2) - Duration: 9:58.

Welcome to part two of Forging a Viking Broad Seax!

In this part, I will continue on my journey to create a broad singled edged sword that

might have been used in the early Viking age.

In the previous episode, I created multi-layer material for the middle as well as the cutting

edge of the sword.

However, I still need material for the back of the seax.

I often prefer to use wrought iron for this as it has interesting patterns due to the

inclusion of impurities and on top of that is very soft.

Unfortunately, the wrought iron I use comes from the 1887 globe elevators and is very

high in phosphorous.

That provides very nice contrast but also means that it comes apart easily and is difficult

to work with.

To increase the chances of success, I am folding and forge welding the wrought iron a couple

of times before forging it out into a bar.

This is very similar to the process that Europeans and Japanese used during Viking times as the

iron was won from a bloomery process and needed to be refined and cleaned by repeated folding

at forge welding temperatures.

As in my previous videos, I would like to ask for your help.

These days only exceedingly popular content is surfaced by Youtube to viewers and I would

really appreciate your help with sharing links to these videos on your social networks.

It may help with getting more views and subscribers.

So, thank you in advance.

I have now folded the wrought iron a third time and will forge weld it again.

As a reminder, the bloomery process reaches temperatures in which the impurties are molten

and removed from the iron which remains as a sponge.

I made a video on this a few years ago, so please check that.

However, the forge welding process may also help with further removing some of the retained

impurities.

The ultimate test is if the wrought iron can be twisted without coming apart.

As with all my pattern welding, the wrought iron will also be forged out into a 3/8 of

an inch square bar; that's about 9 mms.

While these dimensions can be achieved by eye, I usually place a spacer on the power

hammer that stops the travel of the upper die at the right dimension.

So, let's take some inventory.

I created 2 long square bars with 9 layers of 1075 and 15n20.

These will form the middle of the sword.

I also created a 1/2in square higher layer bar for the cutting edge and you just saw

me finish the wrought iron bar which will form the back of the sword.

As I just told you, my bars for constructing swords or seaxes are always 3/8 of an inch

wide.

Also, this video is about a broad seax and to achieve the width of the blade, I will

forge the 1/2 of nich cutting edge bar flat to 3/8 on an inch.

This will significantly widen the bar that will form the cutting edge.

If you look closely, you can see where part of the bar is much wider already.

The spacer on the power hammer makes it much easier to quickly get to the right dimension.

However, care must be taken otherwise the die and spacer will suffer.

As you see, I have quite a bit of material.

Instead of making a seax for giants, this will form the cutting edge of two blades.

While not really necessary, I am grinding off the parts of the bar that I had welded

together in the previous episode, this also gives me a clean line to measure from.

While I will explain this later, creating this pattern-welded Viking Broad seax will

require stacking four bars on top of each other.

To be able to later weld them, they need to be really square to each other.

That is always a struggle and I don't necessarily get it perfect.

So, keep that in mind as you see me working.

In addition to the edge bar, I also just cut the middle bars to the right length and will

briefly clean them before moving on to the next step.

To create a herring bone pattern, I will twist one of the bars to the left and the other

to the right.

My twisting jig makes the quite easy but before I can use it, I need to weld the bars to little

steel squares that fit the jig.

I often wonder how blacksmiths a thousand years ago would have gone about twisting these

bars.

I have not seen any finds of specialized tools for this but find it hard to believe they

would just have used tongs for this.

The other tool that really helps with twising is the oxy-actelyn torch which provides a

mobile and high temparture heat source.

I am using a rose bud and need to dial in the actelyn and oxygen until I get the right

flame.

Even twists of these layered bars are important to me since I want an even pattern on the

finished blade.

To achieve even twists, I heat up a couple of inches of the bar and apply two complete

rotations and then move on to the next couple of inches by making sure there is a slight

overlap to the previous section.

Since the twisted bars need to be forged welded back to square, I also make sure to remove

any obvious scale with the wire brush.

As you can see I am twisting the first bar to the right.

While not entirely intuitive, these directional twists are orientation invariant.

That means no matter which way you flip the bar the direction of twists will always look

the same.

That also means to get a herring bone pattern, we need different twist directions.

For that reason, I will twist the next bar to the left.

Alright, the first bar is completely twisted.

If you take a close look, you will see how the twists have a slant to the right.

Keep that in mind when you look at the slant for the next bar which I will be twisting

left.

Perhaps, counter-clockwise would be the more appropriate term here.

The tricky bit with this process is that the temperature cannot be too high otherwise it

is easy to shear the bar leading to a waste of a lot of time.

During twisting, I make sure to count all the quarter rotations so that I always end

up with complete revolutions.

This is not important when completely twisting a bar but is a good habit for any situation

where there are interrupted twists.

Alright, the final bar is the wrought iron.

I will not twist it as tightly but so far it looks quite sturdy.

Also, when you look at a table you may see how these two bars may lead to the herring

bone pattern I am aiming for.

Here is a close look at the wrought iron.

Another aspect I have not mentioned is that I always chamfer the bars to reduce the stress

on the edges.

I have gotten quite lucky here that none of the bars sheared.

The next step is to clean off any scale so that they can be forged welded back to square.

Before I do that, let's take a closer look at the twists and here you can also see how

the chamfer helps with reliefing some of the stress; without it, the raised twisted would

be much thinner.

A wire brush on angle grinder easily gets to all the recesses and the result is a clean

and shiny bar that just screams to be forge welded again.

However, before I can put the bars back into the forge, I need to remove the little metal

squares I used to fit the bars into my twisting jig.

Since the bars are round now, I need to re-establish a square profile and I am using a spacer again

to maintain the same dimension across the whole length of the bar.

Again, it is important to get the bars hot enough to weld and to keep oxygen away from

them for which I am using borax as a flux again.

Here is a quick look at the bars after they have been forged welded back to square.

Once again I would appreciate your help by sharing links to these videos and if you liked

Minha Playlist Inspiradora - Felipe Andreoli - Duration: 18:31.

What's up, guys. Are you okay? I'm Felipe Andreoli.

Today, I'm here to show you my top 10 favorite songs ever.

It was really hard to do this list because as everybody I like many things.

There are many songs that are touching, many songs from different styles.

Some songs that represent moments of my life and bring those memories back.

But, this is the challenge, that's the game. 10 songs to sum up all my life listening to music,

almost everyday, actually, everyday. Almost all day long.

Right? There's no order of preference, but the first one there's a sense on it

because it's one of the bands that made me being a musician.

My first band I used to play cover of this one I'll mention.

I'm talking about Metallica.

The song I've chosen is "The Thing That Should Not Be".

It's a track from Master Of Puppets album.

The album is from 1986 and Cliff Burton was on bass, yet.

It's hard to choose only one song, but I took this one because it's a heavy song,

maybe the heavier on this album, not the fastest, but the heavier.

The key is down, it's very mysterious, a differente song that I like a lot.

And, Master Of Puppets, as other Metallica albums and other bands,

made part of my musical backgrounds. I think there's a lot of Metallica in my DNA.

So, it must have a Metallica song in my Top 10.

And, this is the song from Master Of Puppets, "The Thing That Should Not Be".

The next band... I thought more about bands than songs.

I thought firstly about the bands and after the songs from these bands that could be

well represented here on Top 10.

The next band that was very important in my music formation was Dream Theater.

It's a band that I started to listen in 94, right when this album was released

that is called Awake. The track I've chosen to represent this album was "Voices".

It's a song that there's a little of each element from the album.

The thing about the vibes, the heaviness, the melodies are wonderful, a very good song.

The bass intro is very cool. And Dream Theater was a great school to me

because I was never that guy who enjoyed studies... I never had rules to study

exercices and measures and etc.

My studies were more based on the songs I'd like to play or songs that I needed to play

that I had to play on a concert. Covers from a determined band, but also for fun.

Especially from the begining. I remember when this album was lauched I got crazy,

then I started to listen to other things. That time there were only 3 album from DT,

Images And Words and the first one.

I kinda ate all those albums and learnt how to play almost all the songs on them.

Of course I had much time. And I played by ear. It was very important to my

development. Play some difficult songs full of notes and parts.

Play all of this by ear.

And, as I grown up in a background of progressive music, and also listened to Metal,

Dream Theater was the band that joined these two worlds that were part of my universe.

And... Well, it was a great school to me and this song represents what DT is for me.

Next artist I've chosen is a Pop one. It's Seal

Seal is one of my favorite singers ever, but also his compositions, with his partners too,

are very moving, I think that they are one of the most wonderful and deep songs

that I've ever listened are from Seal.

I have all the albums of him. It's rare not to like something he does.

He has... He is a pop artist, but he's not that dancing pop singer all the time.

He has an introspective side very strong. And this side touches me more than

the happier side of his job.

The song I've chosen it's a song called "Dreaming In Metaphors".

From his second album, Seal No. 2. He doesn't have name for the albums,

till the fifth album. So, it's Seal No. 2.

This songs is very beautiful, very well done, its instrumental is very sofisticated,

very well played, everything good... Very well produced, his voice is amazing.

If you don't know his job... Well, if you are an Angra fan, maybe you don't know.

Not to mention the obvious ones that everybody knows a song of him.

It really worths to listen to Seal because there are many good things.

The first three albums you can listen relaxing, with closed eyes that you'll enjoy. For sure.

Back to roots, talking about heavy songs.

I've chosen a song from Pantera, "Five Minutes Alone".

It's also difficult to choose a song from Pantera because I like many things.

All their career. Excepting the first albums that they were more Glam, and I don't know a lot.

But Cowboys from Hell, Vulgar Display of Power, Far Beyond Driven,

that has this song "Five Minutes Alone" and all of the others.

The Great Southern Trendkill till the last Reinventing the Steel.

They are all excellent albums and Pantera has changed the heavy songs.

There is the heavy songs before and after Pantera.

And it's a band that makes part... Like today when I write a riff I remember their riffs

and many things are done like theirs. It's also in my musical DNA.

I chose "Five Minutes Alone" because is one of the good songs from this album.

This album doesn't call my attention only because of the composition, but also

because of the production. I love the sound of this album. It's remarkable.

The sound of the guitars, drums, bass... everything.

So, because of it, it's my choice.

Next, there's another band that I listen since when I was a child.

My mother listened as well. I had the album at home and I listened together

and I fell in love with the band. That's Tears For Fears.

That's a band that for many years, when I said I liked it,

there was bullying with me.

because it was a pop band, a girl's band, this song is for faggots and so on...

It's funny that the same people who said that, today they are older and

they learned to listen and today they think it's very cool, Tears For Fears.

And this is one more band that I like everything that they've done.

With like... few exceptions. They have fantastic albums, from different phases.

They got that eletronic music from the 80s, more Rock N' Roll with Raoul and the Kings of Spain,

and the song I've chosen is a song that is the title song of the album Elemental.

It's the song "Elemental". It's also hard to choose only one song of them.

But I think it's a song that represents well. I love the voice of Roland Orzabal.

The singer of Tears For Fears.

He is a producer, a song writer first-class. He got talent.

I had the opportunity of seeing him alive. And I am suspect to talk about the band.

I like Tears For Fears a lot. And it's one of these bands that if you listen

if you really listen, you understand the quality. It's good, it's well done.

Not the obvious that is also... The obvious, the pop of Tears For Fears

like 'Woman In Chains', Shout... these more known songs are also very good.

So, it worths if you listen. I'm sure you won't regret.

And also, from the same period of my discovering with Tears For Fears,

there are the progressive bands. Many bands of this style

that I'd like to mention here. Like, Genesis, Emerson Linkin Palmer,

Yes... There are infinity bands, but I chose Rush.

There's also Supertramp. I've chose Rush for the simple reason that Geddy Lee

is, probably, my favorite musician of all times. Not only as bass player.

By what he represents as a bass player, as a singer, as a composer, by the image of the band.

If you watched the documentary Beyond The Lighted Stage by Rush,

it's funny how they talk about the difficulties they had to be like a band

in a time that the visual was very appraised. They were nerds,

nobody was handsome, nobody was charming.

And the music was beyond and it was the main point to make Rush be this band

mega giagantic that it is nowadays. And Geddy Lee, especially,

the sound of bass, the lines, the way he writes, tones... everything.

He is fantastic. I'm huge fan. I think he's one of the few guys when I meet

that will be difficult to hold the emotion.

I'm fan of Rush. And the sing I've chosen is the song "Limelight".

Once more, with no special reason. This is one of the songs I adore and

if you don't know Rush, my friend. It's time!

In my musical development there was the phase to listen what my parents listned

after I listened things I searched, knew with friends etc...

Then, this vibe with Metal started and etc. I listened to Metallica, Malmsteen,

after Dream Theater. Then, there was a phase when I listened Fusion.

Tribal Tech, Chick Corea... And this band that is Weather Report.

Like the job of Jaco Pastorius. One of the bass players of the band.

I've chosen a song called "Havona" from the album Heavy Weather.

This song has one of the most wonderful bass solos in history.

Jaco Pastorius is, for sure, an icon for any bass player that understand the instrument.

He was a great revolucionist of any instrument from the XX century.

And he passed away when he was 37. He has a crazy history, if you had the chance

watch the documentary called Jaco. It was produced by Robert Trujillo from Metallica.

Watch it. It's an amazing history, at the same time it's sad and fascinating.

And, Weather Report was not only Jaco, but also Wayne Shorter, Joe Zawinul.

And many other musicians that I am very fan as a band or solo career.

And, Weather Report was one of the bands that created Fusion.

They ruled the way that all Fusion bands walked through.

Even at their period, but also those that came after.

And also nowadays the band is a reference to many Fusion bands.

So, Havona is a very good song that should listen.

The next one, I've chosen a song from a guitar player...

To me is very important to be open minded to all the instruments.

I'm a bass player, but before it all I am a musician. I started playing acoustic guitar,

I like drums a lot, I love piano, I like so many musical instruments...

And I am influenced by musicians that play other instruments,

Like Simon Phillips on drums, he's a great example. Steve Vai on guitars,

is another great example.

Then, I chose a Steve Vai song that is not even the best of him.

It's a Side B song. It's a song called "All About Eve".

He sings on this song, too. It's a song from the album Fire Garden.

The second half of this album, he sings almost all the songs.

It's an amazing composition of him, actually, the opposite is difficult to say

concerning Steve Vai's compositions. They are all fantastic. It's a very beautiful song,

it's more introspective. And it's difficult to choose something of him inside his vast

collection of excellent songs he has through the past years.

But this one moves me a lot. Maybe it's not the most representative of his jobs.

And also because the most part of his songs are instrumental, except this album.

And some other moments like the album Sex And Religion, from Vai band.

It's a band he had. I had the chance to know better Steve Vai 'cos he was in Brazil

last year to do some clinics. And I had the opportunity to eat a pizza with him.

You see what a honor?

He's a fantastic man. What he says is almost as beautiful as what he plays.

The vision he has about music, philosophically speaking. And about life in general.

Listen to him is something amazing. It's lesson after lesson.

And his music reflects the fantastic human being that he is, for sure.

So, listen to "All About Eve".

Now, there is a bass player. And this guy was a great influence to me,

I met him when I played for a short time. I met him a disco store here in São Paulo,

from my friend Sérgio Takara. And in this store he used to sell instruments and CDs, too.

And he used to sell common CDs, but he had many instrumental stuff.

Many fusion stuff, jazz, many styles... Guitar players. Those schecters from the 80s and 90s.

He had everything. It was almost the only place you could find those imported CDs.

And very expensive ones. I remember I was enjoying the instruments even more,

and I lived close to Teodoro St. So, I was always there to see the news and talk.

Who works there nowadays remember me from that time 'cos I pissed everyone off.

Trying some instruments, asking for price. But I didn't buy anything. I had no money.

But, I was always there. And then, Sérgio Takara talked about Micahel Manring.

And I bought it by chance. I've never listened to it. I didn't know anything about him.

I bought a CD called Unsual Weather, his first solo album.

It's funny because this album it's not even fusion. It's a New Age album.

It's something different. And I liked New Age. I always liked Vangelis.

The composer of... his most famous song is maybe Blade Runner soundtrack.

So, I liked New Age and I got crazy with this album because it was not only

the virtuosity. In fact, there's virtuosity on this album.

But the melodies, the compositions are wonderful, fantastic.

And this was my door to Michael Manring world and after I bought all his albums.

I have them all. I had the chance to wacth his workshop in 97.

There's a nice point, he has a song he plays with three basses at once.

He gets three basses hung, and a third he asks someone to hold.

I already knew that, so before he asked someone to hold the bass,

I was with my hands in the air then I hold the third bass.

He played a song called "My Three Moons" and I hold his bass.

And after I had the chance to know him better, he was in Brazil some years ago

in a bass festival in São Luiz. And there we had the chance to know each other better

and talk. Sometimes, you can check, he comments my posts.

He is a very nice man. One of the best I've already met.

And he is incredible. The song I've chosen to show you is "Selene".

It's a solo bass song. And it's fantastic because he uses a lot of different keys.

He has a bass called Hyper Bass, that was developed for him only

by a company called Zon. On this bass each screw has a lever called Extender

and he can change the key notes of each string individually.

On the brigde he has three options of tunning. The keys can go below or

only the two sharp ones or the low ones.

This bass has three eighth. It's fretless. He uses different strings, slim strings...

It's something unique, but with this virtuosity and technological,

what call attention the most are the compositions, melodies, construction,

the expression... he's a great guy. Who knows him, loves his jobs. And I recomemend for you

all Michael Manring albums, especially this song that is on the album called Soliloquy.

That is called "Selene".

Last but no least. I had to put a Brazilian on the list.

I am not the one about Brazilian music. But I like many things.

I don't know Brazilian music so deep. I don't know each composer from MPB or Bossa Nova.

Or etc and etc. But, I like it a lot. And my favorite Brazlian musician is

Ivan Lins. I think he is one of the best composers on earth.

It's so true that his songs are famous in Brazil and other contries.

Especially out of Brazil. On Burklee, students study his harmonies.

Because they are so complicated. Also, he joins the melodies that seems to be simple.

He is a genius. He colaborate with great artists from fusion, jazz...

He is respected. He plays on big festivals. In Brazil he known as the guy that composes

soap operas soundtracks. That is something he does very well, too.

Maybe this is his bread and butter. What gives him conditions to

continue with music of this quality. Maybe a pop song that puts him

more accessible to people.

He has rich songs. He is an amazing song writer. I chose a song

called "Começar De Novo". Because it's a beautiful song that seems simple

but when you study it the harmony it's very complex.

The harmonies are very complex, but at the same time it sounds simple, natural.

This song is from his album called À Noite. But he has during his life

excellent jobs. It's difficult to mention one. But this is my favorite.

This is it, guys. I hope you enjoyed. I hope it inspires you, so you can

search different artists that you didn't know. It's very good.

If you are a musician or not. But especially if you are.

It's important to open your ears to new things.

Hope it inspires you.

Don't forget, if you liked the video click on the like button, share it,

comment, subscribe on the channel. It's very important.

So we can continue posting new material for you. Okay?

Thank you. See you soon.

We grew up in South L.A. within a gang.

We were mixed up in shady affairs.

I went to prison.

I was sentenced to serve 20 years

for getting an abortion.

The baby wasn't born alive.

He was born dead.

Yes, because she killed him.

-I didn't kill him. -She's a murderer.

You're an ex-gangster,

or you still are one,

so you're just being a hypocrite.

You talk about abortion

when you have killed before.

She's prostituting the mother of my son.

No, I'm not.

In a wheelchair!

Are you watching this, ma'am?

And there's a man having intercourse with her...

in the wheelchair!

That's one of many, ma'am.

Wasn't it easier for you to buy him a porno movie

instead of giving him a live show?

<i> Look at me</i>

<i> I'm bringing my roots with me</i>

<i> Your race or sex don't matter</i>

<i> Let's not talk about it</i>

<i> Not even where you're from</i>

<i> Whenever you need it</i>

<i>And you're blinded by a problem</i>

<i> The light</i> <i> At the end of the tunnel</i>

<i> Helps you get out</i> <i> Of the dilemma</i>

<i> Come right away</i> <i> To "Case Closed"</i>

<i> Your race or sex don't matter</i>

<i> In "Case Closed"</i>

<i> Your problem is fixed</i>

<i> I have spoken!</i>

Pope John XXIII said,

"It's easy for parents to have children,

but it's hard for children

to have real parents."

Greetings,

and welcome to "Case Closed".

Motherhood and fatherhood

have changed through the years.

What makes a good parent?

It shouldn't be so hard to define, right?

Let's receive our first case.

Mr. Director, let the litigants in.

Any woman can give birth to a child,

but not anyone can be a good mother,

and that's what I want to be.

There're bad people in life,

people without a heart.

It's in their blood,

and no one can change that.

Good evening. Welcome.

-Good afternoon. -Hello.

Georgina, you're suing Chris.

Explain why,

and what your demands are.

Yes, I'm suing Chris, the father of my son.

I want full custody rights

of the son I lost when I went to prison.

I also want him to leave the house of my son Tomas.

She's crazy.

And I want child support.

I also want a restriction order,

because he's not good role model for my son.

She killed a baby...

The kid was six months old.

Calm down.

Tell me how it all went down.

How did you lose the custody of your son?

Why did you go to prison?

I was unjustly imprisoned, actually.

I was sentenced to 20 years

for getting an abortion on the sixth month.

She's a murderer. She spent 18 months there.

Wait, please.

Please, let me explain.

Let me hear her, please.

Yes, ma'am.

Chris and I had a relationship.

We grew up in the South of L.A. amongst gangs,

and we were mixed up in shady affairs.

We fell in love and had a baby that year.

When I realized I was pregnant with our first child, Tomas,

my life completely changed.

I always wanted to be a good mother,

so I begged Chris

to go live somewhere other than Los Angeles.

We moved to Indiana and started a new life.

Everything was okay.

We were a happy family,

Chris had changed.

Six months later, I got pregnant again.

When I told Chris, he changed.

He went back to being the same man he was before.

He'd come home drunk.

You're saying he didn't like you being pregnant again.

That's right.

-He didn't want another child. -No.

When I told him we were having another child...

He stopped coming home. He'd spend days out.

He'd left me and Tomas alone.

He'd come home drunk and mistreat me.

I was working, ma'am.

She was in the house doing nothing.

I worked, I provided for the family.

You'll talk later.

It was very traumatic for me.

I got depressed during that pregnancy.

It took me so much time...

What?

To kill my child?

I didn't kill him!

She's a murderer.

Ok, listen.

He didn't take the pregnancy well.

No. I was alone during the pregnancy.

You were alone.

So, you decided you wouldn't have the baby.

-You were six months pregnant. -Yes.

What did you do?

I bought these pills and took them,

so I lost the baby.

The baby was born.

-She killed my child. -Hold on.

Please, hold on.

We're talking about the pregnancy.

Hold on.

So, you provoked a miscarriage on the sixth month,

so, very, very late. -Yes, ma'am.

Where did you get those...?

What did you get? Pills?

He bought them online. I checked her computer.

-I bought the pills online. -They'd provoke a miscarriage.

Yes.

Okay, was the baby born?

He wasn't born alive.

He was born dead.

Yes, because she killed him.

That isn't fair.

Okay, wait.

Okay...

First, you were accused of feticide, correct?

-Yes. -A feticide.

That is the homicide of a fetus.

But it's a life.

He was a child.

I'm talking legal terms.

If you don't understand them, go read a newspaper,

it's there every day.

He was a child.

His heart was beating. He was a child.

I'm talking legal terms.

If you don't understand, that's your problem.

This is the word we use when a person tries to...

Are you okay with that?

I'm not the one being judged here, okay?

I'm a woman,

I support the right of women to get abortions.

If you disagree, it's your problem.

We're not here to talk about my principles.

I try to be objective and comply with the law.

That's all.

So, the baby was born dead.

Who pressed charges against you? Him?

He did.

I went to the hospital because I wasn't feeling good.

They had to scrape me

to remove what was left of the baby.

-Okay. -Which you killed.

He got to the hospital,

and when he realized I'd had an abortion,

he reported me.

To the police.

So, they arrested you.

First they charged you with feticide.

You were sentenced to 20 years.

Twenty years, yes.

It was an injustice.

An injustice?

The fact you're standing there is an injustice.

So, they took the child from you and he was left in charge.

When I went to prison

he got the legal paperwork done

to take custody of my son Tomas. -Right.

He was three years old when I went to prison.

He's five now.

You were in prison for two years.

-Yes. -Almost two years.

I sought for help in organizations

that help women...

What's just about organizations

that support women that kill children?

And eventually they decided it was negligence.

Negligence during pregnancy.

It's called murder.

What kind of mother does something like that?

The first thing I did when I was released

was looking for Tomas.

I didn't want to spend one more minute without him.

I lost two years. He's five now.

I wasn't there on his first day of school.

Because you were in prison, murderer.

So, now you want Tomas's custody.

We're going to a recess now.

When we return, I want to know

When we left Los Angeles,

I got a job taking care of an old lady

who was alone,

she had no family in the state.

She grew fond of me,

we moved in with her,

Tomas, Chris...

We all lived there for a while.

She never liked my relationship with Chris.

She loved me like a daughter,

because she never had kids of her own.

She'd always tell me to leave Chris,

that he wasn't good for me, that I deserved better,

and she told me

that she wanted me to have the house,

but she didn't trust him.

She didn't trust Chris.

She thought he'd make me sell it

so he could have the money,

so she left it to our child Tomas.

She named both of us executors.

That means that any decision about the kid's property

has to be made by the two of you.

Yes. Here's legal paperwork.

Hand them over to me.

Okay, great.

Thanks.

Chris, how do you reply?

What I want is...

It's unfair that she's here right now.

I want her to be evicted,

and a restraining order.

I want her to leave my son alone,

because she killed my first child.

I don't trust her...

No, she didn't kill your first child, Chris.

Your first child's name is Tomas, and he's alive.

He lives with you and he is five.

But she aborted on the sixth month.

She got an abortion outside the law.

It was an illegal abortion.

The child was in her womb.

Chris, I won't discuss with you

what the Supreme Court of the United States

has already decided many years ago,

and confirmed and reaffirmed

not long ago in several occasions.

It's called a fetus.

-No, it's a child. -It's not a child.

It's a child's life.

Would you kill it?

Why do you want an eviction order, Chris?

My child is well taken care of.

-I'm with a woman... -Is she living in the house?

She went to prison because she aborted my child.

Is she living with you right now?

Yes, but I don't want her there.

She got there without my permission.

It's my son's house.

She's a nuisance.

-My child is well taken care of. -Is he?

He goes to school...

Because the law requires it.

I teach him how to defend himself.

Was she a bad mother

during the three years she took care of him?

Was she a bad mother,

or a good mother?

It's bad to tell your kid,

"Your mother was in prison for 18 months."

That wasn't my question.

My question was,

during the three years she took care of Tomas,

did she take good care of him?

Yes, but I don't trust her.

You don't trust her because of what she did?

-Right. -Okay.

Why did you change so much during her second pregnancy?

Because things were bad.

She didn't work.

-I had to work. -I took care of the lady.

I had to make money any way I could,

and she didn't think of getting a job.

She'd only take care of Tomas

when we were together...

We didn't pay rent while we lived there.

Chris, your involvement in the gangs,

are they over?

I hang out with them.

That doesn't make me a bad person.

She stole with me.

You keep seeing people from the gang.

Yes.

-They're my homies. -Right, your homies.

She would steal with the same people.

Let's meet the defendant's witness.

Good afternoon, ma'am.

Good afternoon.

-Your name? -Sonia.

Sonia.

-Who are you? -I'm Chris's partner.

Chris's current partner.

Yes, his current partner.

Okay, we'll go to a short recess.

We've been together since she went to prison.

So, right after she went to prison,

you started a relationship.

No, we were friends before that.

We knew each other.

I had a partner, but it didn't work out.

He was alone,

I was alone, too,

so we got together.

Okay.

I've been there for the child. I've helped him.

He sees me as his mom, too.

I know I'm not his biological mom,

but I've helped him in every way I could.

I take him to school.

The boy grew fond of me.

Don't you have other children?

Yes, two.

-You have two children. -Yes, two.

They're almost the same age.

-They're the same age. -Okay.

Yes, they're six and seven years old.

They like each other, they get along,

but ever since she returned, the whole thing is ruined.

The boy is confused,

because he has two moms now.

But he grew fond of me and my kids.

Okay, perfect.

Let's see the plaintiff's witness.

I don't understand people.

They have a thing for two years

and they confuse kids.

The boy had to be told,

"This is daddy's new partner.

She's not your mom.

Call her by her name,"

so you don't confuse him.

-He knows that. -He has a mom.

He knows.

Isn't he confused?

The problem is her.

She's his mother.

We explained everything to him.

Okay.

Good afternoon. Your name is?

Good afternoon. My name is Maria.

I'm Georgina's mother.

I'm here to support my daughter.

Of course you are.

I came from Mexico.

I found out she was in trouble when she was in prison,

so I'm here to support her.

I sought help

in places where they help people

that have this kind of problem.

Besides, I don't want my daughter to...

You mean organizations that defend women.

That defend people like her.

Please, show some respect.

That man is vulgar.

He interrupts and doesn't let me talk.

What kind of organization helps people that murder kids?

I don't want him near my daughter.

Okay.

I want him out of my daughter's life.

I think their life as a couple is over.

They only need to solve

the problem of raising Tomas now.

I don't trust her, ma'am.

She's a murderer, she killed my child.

Here's the thing.

I don't trust extremist people like you.

You're such an extremist.

Yes, because...

You used to be in a gang, or still are,

and you think killing a fetus is homicide,

when you kill people,

you kill kids,

you sell drugs,

you make people become addicts,

you prostitute women...

To me, you're a hypocrite

talking about abortion,

when you have killed before.

So, please...

But that was my child.

She was with me when I did those things.

Send the experts in.

Doctor Carolyn Maldonado,

and the lawyer Lizette Sierra.

People's positions are so absurd

that sometimes I can't take it.

They think they will drive us crazy,

but they won't drive me crazy.

What a hypocrite.

A gangster complaining about killing a fetus.

That's in my past.

Okay.

Doctor, I want to talk about abortions with pills.

I've realized that...

There are certain places

where you get abortions via mail.

Yes.

Where the person can call,

talk to a doctor on the internet,

o through the phone,

and they send you pills.

One of the reasons

is the cheaper cost of the medicine.

They get it online.

Specifically in Australia this is being done a lot.

The patients fill a form,

a simple survey online,

and they get the pills via mail.

Sure, they have to do it

in a certain period during the pregnancy.

Regularly,

when should a woman get an abortion in terms of time?

A medical abortion is done within the first ten weeks.

At least in the U.S.

Within the first ten weeks.

Otherwise, there's a bleeding issue.

There's a big hemorrhage.

Exactly.

Doctor Sierra,

a similar case took place in Indiana.

It was Patel's case.

I'm troubled by that case.

Although it defends women's rights

to have access to legal abortions,

etcetera.

In her particular case,

the baby was born alive

and she threw it in the trash.

That's right.

Basically, the reasons why the case lost

didn't have to do with its terrible facts.

It was to not set a precedent against women,

because feticide laws

were made to protect pregnant women

from battery, assault, and things like that.

So, it was meant to give bigger punishments

to people that attack pregnant women.

It wasn't supposed to punish

women that got abortions.

But they used the worst possible case.

Yes.

This case leaves a nasty taste.

It sets a horrible precedent,

because what that woman did was terrible.

Her child was born alive.

All right, good.

I notice there's a lot of anger in this case.

I don't think...

Besides, I notice a person that is tied to his beliefs.

He insists time after time

that she's a murderer.

This isn't a murder case.

Okay.

Not even your own children are well taken care of.

In this case, custody will be shared.

This means she'll spend a week with Tomas,

and then you'll spend a week with Tomas.

One week each.

If anything happens to Tomas...

-I'll be held responsible. -I'll come after you.

Don't be an idiot.

You're threatening me on air.

Go ahead. I don't care.

I'm not afraid of you.

Your barks are worse than your bite.

You don't bite.

So I'm not scared.

What kind of woman puts a child at risk like that?

She's been a great mom to Tomas.

You never said anything about her being a bad mom.

Her case is not like the one about the woman in Indiana.

It's very different.

And I'm sure you were a terrible husband

and even pushed her to do it.

One week with her, one week with you.

Now, what about the house?

Because you all live in Tomas's house.

All of you. Like squatters.

-Not all of us. I left. -I'll give you a choice.

You can sell the house and split the money.

But its Tomas's house, so I doubt a probate judge

would allow that.

So you'll get another place.

That way, when she's with Tomas, you can stay somewhere else.

And you'll get an apartment

so that you can move out when they're with Tomas.

Tomas and the house are a package deal.

Don't you think this is a ruling

any judge would make for such a case?

It's done.

Any judge of this country would rule like I did

in a similar case. -If anything happens to Tomas...

Shut up. And stop threatening me. Don't be stupid.

I can have you arrested for open threat.

That's what you're doing, okay? Don't be an idiot.

And don't act like you're a great dad. You're not.

That's my ruling. I have spoken.

Case closed.

She's prostituting my son's mother. We'll take a break and be back with more

Learn as much as you can.

Respect others to be respected.

May God watch over us all.

See you next time. Thanks for watching.

Everytime we have had a gig we have recorded vlogs at the same time...

but we have never uploaded them

We can do something fun with that

We can add that in some future episodes

yeah we can

We have recorded everytime but never uploaded anything

So if we talk about a gig we can add some footage from it

It happends a lot of fun things when we are on the road

We always play around and being fools

Damn i'm full....

This vlog wasnt too long

First and last vlog we will make... No

One of one

No, there will be more

I don't think it will be that short. I think we talked for a while in the car

We ate the whole..

It depends on how we edit

We will add a lot of stock footage of stones

This will be fun

We finish here

On a secret location, that we can't tell you about

Lana Del Rey Teases New Music with A$AP Rocky, Playboy Carti, and Boi-1da - Duration: 1:06.

For Complex News, I'm Hanuman Welch.

Late Friday night, Lana Del Rey shared an Instagram video containing a snippet of what

appeared to be a new song.

The caption didn't give a title, but it implied that the track would be on her upcoming album

Lust for Life.

More interesting that that, though, was who she tagged in the status: ASAP Rocky, Playboi

Carti, and producer Boi-1da.

And sure enough, it does sound like that could be Rocky and/or Carti on the excerpt.

The potential album cut comes on the heels of other new releases by the singer.

She put out the title track, featuring The Weeknd, in April, and she has recently released

the track "Coachella - Woodstock In My Mind."

That's all for now, Lana Del Rey's Lust for Life arrives July 21st.

As Everybody Talks About Kathy, Trump Secretly Gave An INCREDIBLE Gift To Our Police

By Paris Swade

President Trump said he was very happy to sign into the following two bills.

They are targeted to help the members of law enforcement and veterans.

See the amazing thing he did in the video below.

Trump said it perfectly when he said that he was very happy to sign two laws that

will help law enforcement and veterans.

Trump has provided federal grants to state law enforcement agencies to hire and train

veterans.

WE ARE BEHIND YOU 100 PERCENT, HE SAID TO THE PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICERS ACCORDING TO

FOX NEWS.

The next one is even better.

Trump also signed the American Law Enforcement Heroes Act and the Public Safety Officers

Benefits Improvement Act.

This measure will help improve the timeliness survivor benefits being paid to families that

have been killed in the line of duty.

Trump thinks that it is unacceptable that officers that have sacrificed themselves

in the line of duty should have their families suffer.

The bill is co-sponsored by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY).

Share this if you think that our officers deserve this!

Give Trump a Thank You below, yall.

Dont you love our President?

Tell me they dont deserve these benefits after watching this video.
