Waching daily Jul 1 2017

Hey guys, Maxim here.

This was my childhood, at least most of it anyways.

Crash Bandicoot is the reason why I'm still playing games today and It's one of the best

platform games I've ever played.

It's simple and easy to learn but it can be hard and frustrating.

It's a game that rewards devoted players, and people that spend hours and hours to perfect

their gameplay.

So what's the goal of the game?

Complete levels, collect apples, brake crates, get crystals and gems, and defeat bosses.

That's pretty much it.

What makes Crash Bandicoot so special to me is the feeling of progression.

The further in you get the harder it becomes and each time you beat a level it feels SO GOOD.

The N Sane trilogy is a remastered version of the first 3 games for the Playstation 1

and it was just released.

I remember playing the first game like it was yesterday, I got it when I was very very

young and it was my first Playstation game.

The N Sane Trilogy is so good that it makes me feel like I'm that young kid again.

Not only that, the main adjustments to the new version are really good.

If you died in the first game, you had to redo the whole level to get a perfect score.

This was very frustrating as a kid, it was almost too evil, you had to perfect everything...

Even the hardest ones and those really tested your patience.

In the next two games they changed it so even if you die, it saves your progress between

each check-point.

They obviously looked at their first game and thought, hmm maybe we should lower the difficulty.

In the N Sane Trilogy they made that specific change to the first game as well...

So now all games have check-points which saves your progress on the level even if you die.

The next big change they've done is add the famous time trial mode to all games.

In the third game you could choose to redo a level as fast as possible.

So in the N Sane Trilogy they've added this mode in all the games,.

The last big change is a new playable character on all games, Coco Bandicoot, the sister of Crash Bandicoot.

Apart from the new graphics there's also remastered audio, cut-scenes and animations.

Most importantly the controls are the same, the gameplay is the same, even the feeling

of the game hasn't changed.

They really succeeded well with this, especially since they didn't change any of the major

elements of the original game.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

If you've never played Crash Bandicoot and you're looking for an excellent platform game

with tight controls and challenging levels, I can highly recommend the N Sane Trilogy.

I'm giving it a 10 out of 10 bananas.

So now that the video is about to end, I'm just gonna go back and play some more, but

I'll see you guys in the next video (and it will be about CS:GO I promise), go bananas!

You think you're saving anyone?

I turn that key and drop this rock a little early

and it's still billions dead.

Even you can't stop that.

I am Thor, son of Odin,

and as long as there is life in my breast...

I am running out of things to say! Are you ready?

It's terribly well-balanced.

Well, if there's too much weight, you lose power on the swing, so...

I got it. Create a heat seal.

I could...

I could supercharge the spire from below.

Running numbers.

A heat seal could work with enough power.

- Thor, I got a plan. - We're out of time.

They're coming for the core.

Rhodey, get the rest of the people on board that carrier.

- On it. - Avengers, time to work for a living.

- Are you good? - Yeah.

Romanoff.

You and Banner better not be playing "hide the zucchini."

Relax, shellhead.

Not all of us can fly.

- What's the drill? - This is the drill.

If Ultron gets a hand on the core, we lose.

Is that the best you can do?

You had to ask.

This is the best I can do.

This is exactly what I wanted.

All of you

against all of me.

How can you possibly hope to stop me?

Well, like the old man said...

Together.

You know, with the benefit of hindsight...

They'll try to leave the city.

We can't let them, not even one. Rhodey.

I'm on it.

Oh, no. I didn't say you could leave.

War Machine coming at you! Right...

Okay, what?

How To Style The Perfect Bed | Southern Living - Duration: 1:55.

Today, I'm here and I'm gonna tell you how

to style your bed.

I believe in a timeless approach to bedding.

And for timeless, you need to think about layers.

And the first layer is the most important layer,

and that's your basic set of sheets.

Try and stick with a white set of sheets.

They're not gonna fade and if you do get a stain on them,

you can easily bleach them.

The other thing about white sheets

is they always feel clean,

and when it comes to your bed,

your bed should always feel clean.

After you've got your white sheet set,

I continue with my all white rule

and I have a white coverlet.

I love a textured one.

Do make sure, though, that your whites match,

because white to some companies is really more of a cream

or an ivory.

So, start with the sheets and then match

your coverlet in color.

So, then the third part of my bedding equation

is a matching duvet cover with matching euro shams.

Here's where I like to have a little bit

more fun with pattern.

When it comes to the shams that will match the duvet cover,

make sure that you select the euro sham size,

that overscaled square size will really make your bed

look more pulled together with less items on it.

In layman's terms, that means less pillows

are gonna end up on the ground.

After you've purchased your oversized square euros

and you're ready to put your duvet on the bed,

make sure that you keep your duvet neatly folded

at the foot of the bed

so you show off your nice expansive white

before you get to the patterned euro shams.

For the finishing touch,

I like to add one or two throw pillows

in contrasting pattern to add an extra dose of fun

to your bed.

Now that you've mastered this bedding formula,

you can take it to all of your bedrooms,

from the master bedroom to the little boys room,

to even an elegant guest room.

It should work for any space.

Top 10 Hidden Google Features (You've Never Heard Of) - Duration: 10:22.

Google, we use it all the time, probably even every day.

And Google obviously isn't just a search engine, they have a ton of other projects that are

really awesome that you've probably never even heard of.

So in this video I'm going to tell you about 10 cool features and services by Google that

I bet you didn't know existed.

And these won't really be in any particular order.

Let's jump right in.

Starting off, we have a feature built right into Google search, which basically lets you

use Google as a proxy.

All you have to do is type in the search box, "Cache:WhateverWebsite.com".

This will take you directly to Google's cached version of the site.

As you may or may not know, Google takes a cache of all the websites it indexes for search,

and in regular search you can usually click the down arrow next to a result to go to it.

But with this, you don't have to look through the results to find the right page you want

to access.

And this cached version can be useful in a lot of situations.

Like if you're behind a firewall at school or work that is blocking the website.

You obviously can't log into the site because it's just a static page, but at least you

can see it.

Another reason might be if the website is down or taking forever to load, you can look

at the cached version to see what was on it.

And it will tell you at the top what time the cache was taken, which is usually pretty

recent.

Next up is another basic feature you can do in the search, which is tracking flight status.

All you do is do a search for the name of the flight, like "Flight 999" which is apparently

a real flight, and it will bring up all sorts of information.

You'll see the departure and destination locations obviously, when it departed, when it's going

to arrive, and a little plane symbol to show the current progress.

And if the flight has multiple legs, or you want to look at it for another day, you can

look that up too.

So it's really just a neat little feature maybe if you're waiting for a flight, or want

to check on a friend's progress.

Number three is for Gmail, and it's a feature that makes replying to some emails a lot easier.

It's not enabled by default, so you want to go to Gmail settings, then the Labs tab, and

look for the one that says "Quote Selected Text" and click enable, then save changes.

What this does is allows you to quote only part of an email instead of the whole thing

when replying to an email.

You just highlight a certain portion of any email with your mouse, and then click the

reply button as usual.

And now you'll see that it displays a quote just for what you've highlighted.

Could be a good way to avoid accumulating huge email unecessary email chains.

Moving on, number 4.

I'm sure you all know about Google Maps, and Google Earth, but did you know about Google

Sky?

Yes, it's a thing, just go to Google.com/sky and you'll see what I'm talking about.

It's a really cool page that lets you explore the entire night sky just like you might with

Google maps.

You can zoom in pretty far, and you'll notice in some spots there are images that are higher

resolution than the surrounding areas.

But that's not the only way you can look at the night sky, because it also has options

to view in Infrared, Microwave, and even Historical images.

With Infrared and Microwave it's especially cool because you're able to see parts of the

light spectrum beyond regular visible light, and it looks awesome.

You can even adjust the opacity so it just overlays the view a little bit, and you're

still able to see the regular view.

And with the historical view, it's pretty funny, you can get a look at how the stars

were mapped hundreds of years ago, with all the constellations drawn out as animals and

objects.

Very strange and interesting at the same time.

Alright next up, is a neat Google Project called "Project Sunroof", and the purpose

is to help you figure out if maybe you should consider getting a solar panel.

You type in your address, and it will show you all sorts of useful information.

Like how many hours of usable sunlight your location has per year to generate electricity,

and based on satellite imagery, how much space it thinks you have to place a solar panel.

Even if you don't plan to get a solar panel, it is still pretty interesting to see.

It will show you how much you might save by getting on based on your current electric

bill, and how much it might cost to actually get one.

This is apparently not available in all locations, but even if it isn't for you, they still have

a few sample addresses you can choose to at least see the basic idea.

And just looking at the map is cool, because it shows you exactly what parts of the roof

get the most sunlight, and where is the most shade, so you even know exactly where you'd

put it.

Not something I see myself doing, but still super cool.

Alright, number 6 is the "Google Public Data Explorer", which is a service that does exactly

as the name suggests.

You just click "Explore the data", on the left you'll see a huge list of statistics

you can search through and graph.

And it lets you display the information in all sorts of ways, whether it's a bubble graph,

or on a map, bar graph, or line graph.

And below the graphs you can even use the slider to change the time frame, to see how

the data has changed over time.

Using can be a bit confusing but it doesn't just let you look at a statistic one at a

time.

It also lets you compare any two, even if they don't make much sense.

For example, I can pick a random value for the Y axis like, the deposit interest rate,

and for the X axis, the total surface area of the country.

Obviously this is ridiculous, but you get the idea.

Then you can also change what the size and color of the circles represent in the bubble

graph.

By default circle size is population and color is region.

So needless to say, you could easily kill some hours on this site.

Moving on, we have another one for you data junkies out there called Google "nGram" Viewer.

This one is a lot easier to understand than the previous one, and pretty much all it does

is show you how often certain phrases has appeared in books and publications throughout

history.

For example, you might think the phrase "what's up" is a relatively modern thing to say, but

if we type that in, you can see that people have been saying that even since the 1800s!

You can also change the time frame to anything between way back in 1500 through 2008.

Some of the results are actually pretty surprising.

For example, if we type in WTF and search between 1900 and today, apparently that's

been around for a while.

And if you go back to 1500...

Whoa!

What the heck happened in 1650?

Our usage of WTF barely even registers on the chart!

Now I think it's pretty obvious whatever they meant by WTF back then was a lot different

than today, but still funny to see weird anomalies like that, and just mess around with it.

Ok, number 8 is a relatively new service that Google is actually starting to push recently,

called "Google Express".

And it seems like they made it to be some sort of Amazon competitor.

The main idea is you use Google Express to order stuff from their partner retailers all

through this site, and then they ship it straight to you within a couple days.

And there's apparently same day shipping in some areas too.

Right now the selection of stores is pretty limited, so I don't see myself using this

too often if at all.

But I think it could be a good alternative maybe if Amazon doesn't have something but

a local store does.

Unfortunately shipping isn't free unless you pay for a Google Express membership, which

is 10 bucks a month or 95 a year.

I personally think that's way too much for such a small number of stores, and even fewer

that I'd even go to, especially since Amazon Prime is about the same price.

Still, might be something you're interested in.

Alright coming near the end we have a couple apps by Google that you might not have heard

of.

So number 9 is the "Google Goggles" app, where you point your camera at any object in front

of you, and Google will analyze it, try to figure out what it is, and maybe display some

extra information too.

Unfortunately it seems like the the live camera view function is broken, and the app hasn't

even been updated since 2014.

But I was able to get it to work with already existing photos you pick from your gallery,

so that's good.

Maybe if you have an older phone it will all work.

Also, I bet this app is going to be replaced by the upcoming "Google Lens" that Google

announced this year, so be on the lookout for that.

And finally, we have Google's "Crowdsource" app.

This app was made to help train Google's Artificial Intelligence by asking humans about stuff

it doesn't know.

I wouldn't say it's particularly useful, but it is a bit amusing and can kill some time

if you're really bored.

There are a bunch of catagories, one example being Handwriting Recognition, where you try

to identify what the heck someone was trying to write.

Another interesting one is "sentiment evaluation", where it gives you a bit of text and you just

have to identify whether the text is happy, unhappy, or neutral.

Reading these are actually kinda funny because it seems like they're taken from online reviews,

because half of them are complaints about random products and apps.

Once you do enough tasks in a catagory, you actually "level up" and get a participation

ribbon.

Completely useless but might make you feel like you accomplished something.

So, that's about it.

10 cool Google features you probably had no idea existed, or at least a few of them.

If I missed anything, feel free to let us know in the comments below.

MSNBC Continues Their Shift To The Right, Hires Even More Republican Shills - Duration: 4:32.

MSNBC is not a progressive, liberal, or even democratic news network.

I'm getting kind of tired of hearing people defending the network, saying that, "Oh, but

Rachel Maddow does great stuff.

Oh, Chris Hayes.

He's so smart and wonderful."

Behind the scenes, the network is exactly just like every other corporate media outlet.

That's why, over the last few months, MSNBC has been hiring conservatives at a fevered

pitch.

Brett Stevens from the New York Times, a noted climate change denier, is now among the staff

at MSNBC.

Hugh Hewitt, hateful right-wing talker, now among the staff at MSNBC.

Megyn Kelly has a job at NBC News.

Do you see a pattern developing here?

Do you see what's happening to MSNBC ever since they were bought out by Comcast?

I mean, we had great progressive voices on that network: Al Sharpton, Chris Hayes ... excuse

me, not Chris Hayes ... Ed Schultz.

Those people are now gone.

They were let go for some ungodly reason.

They claimed it was for ratings purposes, but at the time their ratings were actually

equal to those of Chris Hayes, who for some reason is still on the network.

MSNBC is moving further and further to the right because they think that is what this

country wants.

Now that they finally beat Fox News in the ratings for the first time in 17 years, they

think they're going to ride that wave and pick up all of those disaffected Fox viewers

by moving to the right, by espousing some conservative values.

The network is just as disgusting as Fox News, folks.

Don't kid yourself.

Yeah, sometimes Rachel Maddow, Chris Hayes, Lawrence O'Donnell, sometimes they report

really great things, but they're still missing a lot of stories.

They're not out there talking about the corporations that are poisoning American citizens.

They're not talking about the pharmaceutical companies that are putting out drugs that

are killing and crippling Americans just so Big Pharma can make a profit.

They're missing the big stories and they're focusing, for the most part, on the sensational

ones just to get ratings because, at the end of the day, that's what they're all about.

Unfortunately, due to the way capitalism is basically set up, the laws within it, they

have to.

According to American law, any corporation has to act within the best interest of its

shareholders -- not the viewers, not the public, not their consumers, but the shareholders

-- which means they have to legally do whatever they can to make as much money as possible.

That's what MSNBC thinks that it's doing here.

What's going to happen is that they're going to turn into Fox News Light.

They might draw a few Fox viewers at first, but eventually they'll go back to Fox.

The progressives, the liberals, will leave MSNBC and soon enough this network is going

to once again find itself at the bottom of the pack.

To be honest, at this point, kind of where they deserve to be.

Fox News is fun for a laugh.

It's fun to get on here and point out all the stupid things they say and how crazy their

audience must be for believing them, but MSNBC is more dangerous because it's a network that

masquerades itself as some kind of liberal progressive voice in the United States, when

in reality they're controlled by corporations.

The people who sit on the board of directors at MSNBC also sit on other boards for other

companies: Big Pharma, oil companies, things like that.

They share board members.

At the end of the day, those are the people who are driving these programming decisions.

That's why that network is trying to hire more and more conservatives, people who believe

that the free market is the way forward, people who think that privatization is going to solve

all our problems, and people who think that climate change doesn't even exist.

That is the new face

of MSNBC.

The Story Behind Kim Kardashian's Fame - Duration: 6:10.

These days, you can't escape the "famous for being famous" celeb — with the even

more famous booty.

But Kim Kardashian's rise to fame didn't happen overnight.

It took careful planning, a little scheming, and a business-savvy mom who wasn't afraid

to do whatever it took to transform her family into reality TV royalty.

Murder trial

As O.J. Simpson infamously faced trial in 1995 for murder, Kim's father Robert Kardashian

became a household name, thanks to his close friendship with Simpson.

The morning after the murder, the Kardashian patriarch was spotted leaving Simpson's house

with a garment bag, which many still believe contained the murder weapon, and possibly

Simpson's bloody clothes.

When police eventually got a hold of the bag, it unsurprisingly contained zero evidence.

In a crafty move, Kardashian reinstated his inactive license to practice law, allowing

him to join Simpson's defense team, and prevent him from being called to testify against Simpson.

We all know how it ended:

"We the jury in the above entitled action find the defendant, Orenthal James Simpson

not guilty of the crime of murder in violation of penal code 187."

From that point on, all of America would know the Kardashian name.

Celebrity assistant

In the early 2000s, Kim launched a career working as a stylist, assistant, and personal

shopper for celebs like Cindy Crawford, Lindsay Lohan, and Paris Hilton.

In reality, Kim organized the stars' overflowing closets, but that didn't stop her from trying

to get in on the Hollywood scene.

But Kim didn't just want access to the hottest parties.

She wanted to be famous.

And thanks to her insider view, and a whole lot of ambition, Kim found a way to launch

herself into the stratosphere of public recognition.

And all she had to do was study one of her new "friends" successes, thanks to the release

of a very special video.

Paris' tape

In late 2003, a private video of Paris Hilton and Rick Salomon was leaked exactly one week

before the premiere of Hilton's new reality show The Simple Life, making it an instant

hit.

At the time, the leaked video was thought to be a PR disaster.

But the world watched as the tape immediately rocketed Hilton into A-list status, lighting

ratings for The Simple Life on fire.

It was a risky move, but would Kim and momager Kris be savvy enough to pull it off?

Superstar sex tape

A very revealing tape was "leaked" in 2007 starring Kim and her then-boyfriend Ray J.

Kim and momager Jenner quickly reached a $5 million settlement with Vivid — for damages

— claiming the tape, called Kim Kardashian, Superstar, was "leaked."

In 2016, Hilton took credit for her part in launching Kim's career, telling Us Weekly,

"We've known each other since we were little girls.

We've always been friends.

It's nice to inspire people.

I'm really proud of her and what she's done."

But back in 2007, Kim was just getting started.

Keeping it up

In October 2007, eight months after the release of the sex tape, Keeping Up With The Kardashians

premiered and was an instant success.

Both producer Ryan Seacrest and momager Jenner have covered up Kim's video as the source

of the show's success, sticking to a backstory about how the family's wacky antics at a barbecue

won Seacrest over.

Kim told E!:

"Let's just, you know, do what we do and have the cameras capture our real lives."

While the Kardashians played dumb about the true source of their fame, some people like

Barbara Walters weren't having it.

She famously called out the family, saying:

"You don't really act; you don't sing; you don't dance.

You don't have any — forgive me — any talent."

And the Kardashians were taking that "no-talent" all the way to the bank.

Cashing in

Keeping Up With The Kardashians became an unparalleled reality TV success.

Audiences couldn't get enough, and young women particularly enjoyed the fact that the Kardashians

achieved celebrity status just by existing.

An entertainment exec told the LA Times, "[They] tend to think, that's pretty cool.

That's something I might be able to achieve."

The show would soon produce several spin-offs including Kourtney & Kim Take Miami, Kourtney

& Kim Take New York, Khloé & Lamar, Kourtney & Khloé Take The Hamptons, Dash Dolls, and

Rob & Chyna.

The family got rich, and so did Kim as she launched fashion lines, fragrances, credit

cards, and apps.

As Twitter and Instagram were gaining momentum, the Kardashians were among the first to advertise

weight loss supplements to millions of followers on social media.

Hashtag swag.

A wedding and divorce

On August 20, 2011, in a media frenzy, Kim married NBA star Kris Humphries after the

two had been dating for less than a year.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kim and Humphries seemed entirely focused on numerous

sponsorships instead of making the television event, um, wedding, a celebration of their

love.

The couple also scored a reported $1.5 million from People just for their wedding photos.

When Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event aired in October 2011 to over four million

viewers, it was a ratings bonanza.

But less than three weeks later, Kim would shockingly file for divorce from Humphries

after just 72 days of marriage, signalling that the event was a total publicity stunt.

Humphries himself confirmed this in court, claiming the event was scripted.

But soon, Kim would walk down the aisle again.

And this time, it might be the real thing.

Kimye

During her relationship with Humphries, Ki m was heavily rumored to have been cheating

with Kanye West even while she prepared to walk down the aisle for TV cameras.

And those rumors only gained more traction when Kim and West started dating shortly after

her divorce from Humphries.

West would eventually propose to Kim in a lavish ceremony, and the two would later wed

in 2014.

And while "Kimye" genuinely seemed to be in love, it wasn't long before rumors began that

Kim was attempting to position herself as a Beyoncé-adjacent-level celeb.

Those attempts were thwarted by reports that actual Beyoncé has, quote, "genuinely never

liked" Kim, and the Bey-hive agreed.

But, Kim still had her army of followers, and it wasn't long before she was plotting

new strategies with her old tricks.

#Belfie

In November 2014, Kim "broke the internet" by posing nude on the cover of Paper magazine.

While the shot is a far cry from her intimate video with Ray J, it only proved that Kim's

online presence was a force to be reckoned with.

Team KimK or not, the fact remains that she's reached an unprecedented level of online fame,

leveraging it into a massive multimedia empire.

Pretty impressive for someone who started out as Paris Hilton's closet-organizing friend

with the big butt.

"Dear Kim, when you read this, you'll be 10 years older.

If you haven't broken the hundred billion mark on Instagram followers, I'll be very

disappointed in you."
