What The Cast of Coyote Ugly Looks Like Today - Duration: 6:02.When it hit the big screen, the cult-classic Coyote Ugly was hammered by critics who dubbed
the film "sexist, shallow and silly." However, some audiences found the movie not only bearable,
but genuinely enjoyable. Over the years the movie has built up a strong following, but
can the same be said for the cast? Here's what the stars of Coyote Ugly look like today.
Piper Perabo
When Piper Perabo got the lead role in Coyote Ugly, she was new to the industry and found
that she related to her character instantly. She told the BBC,
"When I first read the script, it hit me like a ton of bricks. A year earlier, I had moved
from New Jersey. The same train she takes back and forth from her house is the train
I take back and forth from my house. I worked in a bar when I got to New York. It's really
autobiographical!"
She's since appeared in family fodder like 2003's Cheaper by the Dozen and its 2005 sequel,
but she's also dabbled in thinking-man's sci-fi like The Prestige and Looper. Her best-known
work outside of Coyote Ugly is on the small screen, however, as she starred in TV's Covert
Affairs for five seasons.
Adam Garcia
Australian actor Adam Garcia only had one previous film appearance under his belt when
he was offered a part in Coyote Ugly, and it's the screen role he's still best-known
for even now.
He told Junkee.com,
"I had no idea in the moment what it would become. None at all. Even at the box office
I don't even think we were number one… Critically it was 'meh', but people just seemed to really
like it, which is great."
Garcia has since split his time between stage, film and television. In 2013 he was nominated
for an Olivier award for his supporting role in the London revival of Kiss Me, Kate, and
he's popped up in TV shows such as Doctor Who,and Flight of the Conchords. However,
his career as a movie star never really took off, with his most noteworthy subsequent appearance
being a part in 2001's Riding in Cars with Boys.
Maria Bello
After making a name for herself as Dr. Anna Del Amico on NBC's hit medical drama ER, Maria
Bello transitioned into the film world with a supporting role in the indie drama Permanent
Midnight followed by a starring role in Payback. In her third outing, Coyote Ugly, she played
the founder of the titular bar, who managed to turn her honky-tonk saloon in New York
City's East Village into an international chain on the back of the film.
Bello has since starred in a number of movies in the years that followed -- with varying
results. She took over for Rachel Weisz in the ill-advised Mummy sequel, Tomb of the
Dragon Emperor, and put herself in questionable company for the low-brow comedy Grown Ups.
However, she's still got a few critical wins under her belt thanks to films like A History
of Violence and Prisoners.
Izabella Miko
Polish beauty Izabella Miko turned to acting when an injury ended her dreams of becoming
a professional dancer.
"Okay boys, show me those balls"
Acting filled the dancing void once she was cast in Coyote Ugly when she was still a teen.
Her most high profile appearance in the years since came in 2010 when she played Athena
in the Clash of the Titans reboot, but she's spent most of her time combining her dance
talents with her acting. She's busted moves in Save the Last Dance 2, Make Your Move,
and Step Up: All In.
Tyra Banks
Unlike the other Coyote Ugly girls, Tyra Banks was already a superstar when she was cast
in the part of crowdsurfing barmaid Zoe. Her fame was later given a huge boost by America's
Next Top Model, the reality show she conceived and hosted for a whopping 22 seasons until
it was cancelled in 2015.
She followed up Coyote Ugly with a role in tired 2002 slasher flick Halloween: Resurrection,
though the majority of her appearances in both film and TV have been cameos as herself.
Banks has managed to keep her fame flame alive in other ways—she became a New York Times
bestselling author in 2011 when her semi-autobiographical novel Modelland became a big hit.
Bridget Moynahan
Like Tyra Banks, Bridget Moynahan had a background in modeling when she was cast in Coyote Ugly,
though she wouldn't go on to enjoy anywhere near the same levels of success afterwards.
The actress was under the glare of the public eye in the mid-2000s when she dated NFL quarterback
Tom Brady, but when the couple split, the actress began to fade from the spotlight.
While Coyote Ugly was her first feature film, Moynahan actually made her screen debut a
few years earlier when she appeared as "the other woman" Natasha on Sex and the City,
a character who was only supposed to appear in a single episode as Mr. Big's wife until
producers decided they wanted to see more of her.
Today, Moynahan is still best known for her work in TV, starring in the hit procedural
Blue Bloods.
Melanie Lynskey
New Zealand-born character actress Melanie Lynskey got her big break in 1994 when she
starred in the critically acclaimed psychological drama Heavenly Creatures; but while her co-star
Kate Winslet was able to ride the success of that movie all the way to Tinsel Town,
Lynskey had to climb the ladder the hard way. She starred as the trusty sidekick character
in Coyote Ugly, but decades later, Lynskey is on something of a hot streak, with 2016's
The Intervention and 2017's I Don't Feel at Home in this World Anymore both finding
critical acclaim. She also managed to carve out a successful career in TV, portraying
Rose on the hit CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men for over a decade.
John Goodman
It was the Coen Brothers who first saw Roseanne star John Goodman as more than a funnyman,
and through the sibling directors he was able to showcase his versatile talents. He managed
to straddle the fence between family friendly flicks and edgier projects, so the fact that
he played Piper Perabo's reluctantly supportive dad in Coyote Ugly is but a footnote to his
filmography. And Goodman shows no signs of slowing down, with multiple projects on hand,
including an eight episode revival of Roseanne.
LeAnn Rimes
Country singer turned pop star LeAnn Rimes made a brief but memorable cameo appearance
in Coyote Ugly when she performed at said bar in the final scene of the film, though
her biggest contribution undoubtedly came in the form of music. Rimes had four songs
on the film's popular soundtrack, most notably the single "Can't Fight The Moonlight" which
became the unofficial Coyote Ugly anthem and propelled the singer to new levels of fame.
Over time, though, Rimes became a tabloid fixture thanks to her personal affairs, becoming
more known for her reality TV ties than her musical or movie moments.
"No matter what you do the night is going to get to you."

This Lion Was Attacked And Left To Die I Still Can't Believe What Happened After That - Duration: 2:26.Sienna is an 11 year old lion his mother of three she was attacked by a great
horned buffalo on April 4th the attack took place at Masai Mara National
Reserve in Kenya researchers and staff officials of the Reserve noticed the
gored lioness and knew they had to act quickly if her or her cubs had any
chance at survival Sienna in great pain with a gaping wound on her backside from
a horned buffalo attack with this wound she could not care for her three cubs or
herself so action was necessary Kenyan Wildlife Service veterinarian dr.
George from Nairobi flew into the reserve with his team of professionals
to help Sienna dr. George worked very carefully to disinfect and clean the
wound after Sienna was sedated she was administered long-term antibiotic
injections six stitches that would wear away after healing and a large amount of
green clay which speeds up the healing process here you can see one half of the
wound is closed up and should heal very nicely
the vets took a lot of care to make sure that this wound wouldn't reopen in the
wild after about an hour and a half of surgery Sienna woke up a new lioness and
within two days was seen squatting to pee without hesitation or discomfort she
was tending to her cubs immediately Sienna the gored lioness seems to have
nine lives which is a good thing because she is now back with her cubs and
healthy as can be the wound is healing perfectly with no infection and her cubs
have a great chance at survival in the wild thanks to dr. George and his team
of professionals Sienna was given another chance at life as a mother this
ripples down to the livelihood of her three baby Cubs and their chance of
survival Sienna would have had no chance in the wild raising three cubs with an
open wound as big as hers was and would have only lasted a few more days at best
her Cubs would soon follow her terrible fate if it weren't for the wildlife
service veterinarians sienna and her three cubs wouldn't have been so lucky

now he still got me what are you supposed to do I done a dad twice
it added I would add to it there's got to be a thing it's a thing it's just
it's funny because these puzzles they take it takes a while to figure them out
but it's never something way over the top and out of the way like it's always
something just like maybe I don't have to roll it all the way up maybe just
like right there yeah maybe just right there there we go yep that wasn't okay I
didn't have to make it go all the way up and now I can jump got the hook good
swing my way over yeah overhaul yeah all right so we good to get the
meat throw it in here Oh
so I need that for something oh he's hungry third over here so what
does he do does actually show him going towards it
oh yeah you know what maybe the fish is to distract him maybe that's what it is
all right I'm going to throw this I'm going to throw this all right I'm gonna
go this way I'm gonna go this way and maybe you woke up always definitely

that like is that something I can climb on top of these boxes no no maybe
there's something else I have to do down here it's probably tell Otis
what's over here's anything hear anything Nick what's this guy
I'm throw this thing in the trash garbage hey wait can I just all the
rights for little rats okay I'm assuming maybe on them use their
stuff in there I was saved it means something happened I did something did a
thing after the shoe in there too I look through the shoe in that to hit no okay
maybe it was just a ball I'd throw in the trash it's like a little secret
thing I don't know a basketball secret for the ages okay so now what now what
ghoul all is a creaky thing it's just a thing maybe I'd jump oh I got it hang on
and we'll walk to the end of it and I have to sprint to the other end and then
jump yeah I am good at puzzling I hope the old guy's not here Oh
the guy's not here to eat me it's fine even if he is Siang go get it

I'm going to push it this way first actually I'm a presses button there's a
button on the door there's so many options
what's this button do close it press it oh I see okay it just drains the water
so you don't have to get shocked that's good
so I am definitely going to push this off push it into the wall check we okay
don't know why but I'm sure there's a reason ah so then that means I have to
raise the water back up so I have to I'm going to set this up as like platforms
because I don't think there's a way yet that's got to be what I got to do so I'm
going to put these over here you set this one like jumping distance away yep
I'm pretty sure that's what I got to do I'm pretty sure that's it I'm pretty
sure I got a set of up like jumping platforms like that one's good there and
this guy I could put like right there and I can just jump straight across once
I raise the water some of you have to worry about Tony have to worry about
getting shocked or nothing is that scary alright says Presta Boonton press did
boot on
and hopefully we don't die hopefully this works oh yeah ready and jump and
jump hurt it did it did it I did I'm smart
what's in the hole kiss the shag go down the hole or shy go this way
what's this way I'm gonna go down the hole I'm to see what's in the hole
because it saved it back there yes I mean you never know you never know if
it's going to be like an alternate passageway or something oh it just
spawned me like I'm gonna die i'ma die Sophie and oh no run run disbanded
that's it and he done got me yeah yeah he's hungry
everybody okay okay so now I'm not gonna be blindsided by spawning right here huh
besides fish to distract him with
swim swim oh oh I do have this here have a fish there you go now we run
ah okay okay okay and jump yes all right fine
we're fine now what how am I gonna lie
no no oh my god how dude how okay so I got a really bucket when I throw that
fish I got to go all the way over this so I was distracted as well as he okay
alright so this is a checkpoint so I just I'm just going to go I'm just gonna
take off and hopefully I don't die
get on the barrel get on the barrel ah
go go go go go go go go go Oh what you can still get you on the that's crazy
okay so if you're on the plank so you can still catch you that's insane that
can't be cook that can't be right it can't be cool
there can't be cool there's no way well I must listen to no that's hardcore
jump and just go just swim swim ah yeah he could definitely catch you through
the boards those boards don't mean anything you could just you just grab
yeah like your little dinner like you're the littlest dinner in he's the littlest
nightmare okay so what what do then all right there's got to be there's got to
be a different way to approach this well y'see there
he was then he cut me off that time I can see him moving look you can see him
swimming underneath the water that's so crazy look at look at that there's some
crazy oh so crazy that's insane
climb climb climb okay we're here now now we're right here this is fine we're
not gonna get I don't know what to do from here though like what what do I do
for me he wants me boy oh I'm dead do huh
there's got to be a way there's got to be something here he's so fast there's
more barrels right there like if I can try to get him to come over here here
comes all right and I'm going to jump I'm
gonna go this way oh dude he is so fast crazy I don't know
I really have no idea it's hard to really distract him
he definitely knock me off so what do you do I choked him for a second but
what do you do how how do you do that I don't understand I don't get it
I've uh I'll figure it out I will figure this out it's probably so simple it
always is it's always the most simple thing it is it's always the most simple
thing you can do or these puzzles because that's all it is this is just a
puzzle all right we're here we're here we're here now we can jump go this way
come on come on come on swim swim kid all right yeah see all you
have to do is just go fast that's that was the puzzle just go fast oh geez
all right on the boat now what now now what more that's a long way dude that is
a long way and he is right he's right there that's so long way to swim with
him right there like right in the middle like he's right there in the middle you
can't reach me here don't have any fish in this boat how are they no fish in
this boat how do you fish well he's dude look he is in the water right there
that's so crazy just gotta go fast just gotta go fast
I'm just gonna have to swim to swim get on the planks and run oh man
so scary it's like creepy oh geez but I did it
aah scariest thing ever okay jump and don't fall off you will die okay now
what just go the other way - oh wait no no no no no hang on that's that's a
that's a red herring right there I get to go through this a hole right here
I get to go through yes awesome all right I'm go ahead and finish the
episode off there that was intense that was so crazy oh man what a chase what a

Steps in SFOC - Duration: 4:50.Welcome to AlteX Academy,
I'm Yifei
(Jay) And I'm Jay
(Yifei) In the last video we
discussed the need for a SFOC
We also emphasized on what does
it take to be a successful
UAV operator
(Jay) So that's to be efficient,
to be safe, and to deliver
results
(Yifei) Exactly
Now today we want to discuss
how to achieve those goals
and just so happens,
it's also three steps
We have equipment, operator,
and workflow
(Jay) Equipment, are we going
back to reading the
instruction manual?
(Yifei) Actually equipment is
about two sections,
We have airworthiness,
and continuing airworthiness
(Jay) Now that sounds pretty
official, who is responsible
for that,
is that Transport Canada?
(Yifei) For traditional manned
aviation, it is Transport Canada
Currently, for UAV, it's
actually the manufacturer
coming in to say
why is this drone fitted
for the operation
(Jay) So it's the manufacturer's
responsibility then
(Yifei) For airworthiness, yes
For continuing airworthiness,
it's actually us, the operator's
responsibility
(Jay) So that means we're
responsible for checking
the battery,
checking the propeller,
and making sure there's no
physical damage on the
drone then
(Yifei) Exactly,
It doesn't have to be
complicated, just a set of basic
handling,
maintenance, and repairs
procedures
similar to maintaining
your car
So airworthiness and
continuing airworthiness
make up our equipment section
Now we also have the operators
(Jay) That's pretty
self-explanatory, isn't that
just us?
(Yifei) Actually, it's pretty
well-defined
We have five requirements,
starting with age,
18 and over,
and medical
(Jay) So does that mean I need
a physicians note?
(Yifei) Actually medical is a
self-declaration form,
Similar to the requirements
of a diver's license
(Jay) So I need to be able to
see, and I'm assuming no
drinking and flying then
(Yifei) Exactly
In addition to age and medical,
we also have
knowledge requirements
Currently knowledge can be
achieved through a UAV pilot
ground school,
or, self-learning
(Jay) So, taking a course
is not mandatory then
(Yifei) No, it's not
Most people prefer to take a
course,
Because it shortens the
learning curve
Transport Canada has an official
document outlining the knowledge
requirement
and it's quite a bit of
information,
we have airspace classification,
we have air law,
meteorology, navigation,
radiocommunication,
and even more
(Jay) That sounds really
intimidating
(Yifei) Well, that's what
training courses are for
In addition to knowledge,
now we also have the experience
requirements,
and experience comes down to
individual pilot's flight hours
Lastly, we have skillset
Skillset is about the
UAV application,
for example we have survey,
inspection, or filming,
which is no longer just about
flying,
you also need the knowledge
and experience from that
specific industry
(Jay) Okay so we need five
things for operators
Age,
Medical,
Knowledge,
Experience,
and Skillset
(Yifei) Those are the five
requirements that make up
our operators section
(Jay) So that just leaves us
with workflow then
(Yifei) Workflow is the one that
doesn't have specific
requirements,
really comes down to how we
want to run our operations
Some common elements include
locations,
using checklists,
having emergency contingency
procedures,
and flight operations manual
(Yifei) Just imagine if you're
laying down a single operation
on paper,
what would the steps be
(Jay) That just seems like
a lot of work, though
(Yifei) Well, no one said it
was going to be easy
Keep in mind, don't look at the
requirements from Transport
Canada's perspective,
look at them from us, as the
operators, what do we want?
We want to know what we're
operating,
who is operating,
and how to operate
(Jay) So I guess training is a
good place to start, then
(Yifei) Well, that's what
we're here for
We have ground school, flight
school,
as well as post-training support
for SFOCs
Now when we come back,
we'll discuss the various
training options

Top 10 Surprising INNOVATIONS by the CELTS - Duration: 9:16.Top 10 Surprising Innovations by the Celts
10.
Soap
It is uncertain who originally invented soap, with the Celts and their neighbors, the Romans
both accusing each other of copying.
However, the Celts invented the process of soap-making using animal fat and plant ashes
into the shape of a ball.
This mold influenced the idea of a bar of soap which we use now.
The origins of the word "soap" are derived from the Celtic word "saipo," coming from
the Latin word "sebum," meaning fat or tallow.
Their best quality "saipo," as it was called, came from beechwood ash and goat fat.
The Roman historian Pliny the Elder believed this certain type of soap to be: "an invention
of the Gauls for giving a reddish tint to the hair."
However, some historians think that this was a pomade made from un-saponified and alkali,
instead of a soap for hygiene.
9.
Chainmail
During the third century BCE the Celts, who had the most superior iron craft in Europe
at the time, invented chainmail.
This type of armor was made from thousands of circles of iron, brass or steel linked
together, the ends of which were either pressed together, welded or riveted.
Although chainmail weighed around 32 pounds (14.5kg), it is distributed proportionally
over a soldier's body.
Therefore, chainmail not only gave a soldier relatively good protection but also allowed
for adequate mobility, unlike other armors used at the time such as the bronze cuirass.
Other advantages of chainmail were that it was relatively not that difficult to make
and repair at a cheap price.
In addition, chainmail was easy to fit on men, of all shapes and sizes, due to the simplicity
of its design.
However, chainmail came with its disadvantages also; a pointed weapon such as an arrow or
spear could slip through one of the chain links, and with continued force, widen the
iron circle allowing for penetration of the body.
Romans, being Romans, adopted the chainmail, realizing its potential when fighting the
Celts.
Thus, chainmail remained the basic armor of Roman infantrymen until the first century
CE.
Chainmail continued to be a respected and popular armor choice throughout the following
Middle Ages, making it an iconic piece of protection in history.

The Horseshoe
Although no one knows for sure when the horseshoe was invented or by whom, the traditional view
is that the Celts did around 100 BCE.
The northern type horses, which the Celts rode, had broad feet; therefore, they were
subject to wear, so horseshoes were extremely useful to the Celts.
But these horseshoes were primarily used to prevent the horse from skidding, especially
on snow (which was frequently on the ground in the northern climate of the Celts), thus
the horseshoe made traveling much easier.
The Celts' neighbors, the Romans, had a contraption of their own called the "hipposandle."
These leather and metal horseshoes were much more inefficient than the Celtic ones that
could only be used with horses moving at a walk, which is not much use in battle.
The Romans re-developed the Celtic horseshoe around 200 CE to something closely resembling
a plain modern shoe.

Halloween
Originally, Halloween was a Celtic festival known as Samhain (pronounced "sah-ween"),
meaning "summer's end."
The naming was due to the festival marking the beginning of winter, a time of the year
that was often associated with human death.
The Celts believed that on October 31, the boundary between world of the living and the
dead was at its thinnest and so the spirits of the dead mingled with the living, hence
why Halloween has strong connotations with death and the undead.
The spirits supposedly caused trouble and damaged crops but also made it easier for
druids (Celtic holy-men) to make predictions about the future.
During the festival, people gathered for animal sacrifices and offerings of fruit and vegetables.
The Celts, to aid the dead on their journey and keep them away from the living, lit bonfires
much like we do today.
Over the 400-year rule of the Celts, two Roman festivals, Feralia and a day of honoring to
Pomona, (the Roman Goddess of fruit and trees) combined with the traditional Celtic celebration
of Samhain.
Pomona's symbol is the apple, hence why we have the tradition of
"bobbing" for apples on Halloween.
By the 9th century CE the influence of Christianity blended with the older Celtic rites and in
1000 CE the church made November 2 "All Souls' Day."
This was celebrated similarly to Samhain and began to be called "All-hallows Eve,"
eventually becoming Halloween.

The Iron Plow
Before the Celtic plow, a plow known as an "Ard" or "Scratch plough" was used
to clear rocky soil and make seed drills.
However, they were inefficient at clearing new land, with other tools such as hoes and
mattocks needed to pull up grass and undergrowth.
By the first century BCE, Belgic tribes from the south of England had improved the Ard.
This new plow had an iron plowshare, which meant that it could move soil to one side.
They were much more effective than previous models; however, they required a team of 8
oxen to be pulled due to their heavier weight.
Consequently, they were hard to turn and thus Celtic fields were famously long and narrow.
The Romans are credited in introducing the coulter (a vertical cutting blade fixed in
front of a plowshare) to the Celts, though the earliest example of one was found at the
Iron Age fort of Bigbury, Kent.
Pliny himself, in fact, noted that the Celtic plow was superior to the Roman type, which
it eventually replaced.

Druidism
The earliest written reference of druidism dates back around 2400 BCE, but the origins
were much earlier than this.
Julius Caesar claimed that it originated from Britain and spread throughout Northern Europe.
Druids were considered among the most important people within Celtic society and were equal
to Celtic noblemen.
There were three types of holy men within the Celtic religious system:
The Bards: They knew the songs and stories of a tribe
The Ovates: They were the healers and seers (someone who can supposedly see visions of
the future) The Druids: They were the philosophers, judges
and teachers Druids were known to have taken charge of
public and private sacrifices as well as judging quarrels, deciding the punishments for them.
These Sacrifices, as Nicolas Cage witnessed in The Wicker Man, involved (no, not the bees)
erecting huge wickerwork images filled with living men (who were often innocent) and then
burned.
Becoming a Druid was seen as a very attractive lifestyle for many Celts, for many reasons
such as power within society and the fact that Druids abstained from warfare.
People still practice Druidism today, with many rituals taking place at Stonehenge, Wiltshire.

Torcs
A "torc" (aka "torque" or "torq") is a metal ring placed around the neck, usually
to be worn permanently.
These pieces of jewellery were usually made of bronze, silver and gold.
The Celts loved to show off with their jewelry.
The Greek philosopher Poseidonius described them as having traits "of childish boastfulness
and love of decoration."
Unsurprisingly, he was a stoic.
In fact, jewelry such as the "torc" showed a person's status in society, and they also
supposedly had supernatural powers for the Celts.
These metal neck-bands became symbols of strength and Celts have been depicted wearing them
during a battle in paintings such as the Dying Gaul.
This was not the best idea, as they were notoriously large and heavy to wear.

Coligny Calendar
The Celts were certainly not stupid people (except those who supposedly ran into battle
naked, which is not recommended) and they invented their own way of telling what time
of year it was using a calendar.
The Coligny calendar works much like most lunar calendars, with 12 months of 29 or 30
days, and each year being 354 days.
In order to counteract the months getting earlier each year in comparison to the seasons,
an extra month is added around every 2.5 years.
This Celtic calendar ran on cycles of 30 years, which was split into periods of 5 years with
62 months (including the extra 2 months).
Note that during the 6th final period of the 30 years only 1 extra month is added rather
than 2.
The 12 months of the Coligny calendar were:

Beltane
Beltane (or Beltain) is another Celtic festival that was celebrated around May 1.
Beltane was generally a positive occasion as it marked the end of summer and the fertility
of the coming year.
On this day, events would include courting between young people, who collected blossoms
and lit fires in the evening, in the hope of success.
In fact, Beltane is believed to be a sexual festival, with rituals implying sex and fertility.
The name is a Celtic word meaning "Fires of Bel[enos]," or "Fires of The Bright
One."
Hence, he was the Celtic God of the sun.
This explains why fires were lit on the day and cattle, who were released from their winter
quarters, were driven between two fires while people leapt over them in a ritual cleansing
ceremony.

Weird Myths
There are not many inventions greater than the stories created by people, and the Celts
were certainly no exception in the weird and wonderful world of myths.
Many creatures were believed to have existed, including the much-dreaded Banshee, a woman
in bloody clothes shrieking whenever she was seen.
It was believed that she carried with her an omen of death.
In fact, even King James I of Scotland supposedly was approached by one.
Faeries (Irish spelling of fairy) were another Celtic mythological creature, who were notoriously
mischievous yet beautiful and hard to resist.
Many stories were made by the Celts, often linked with their deities and mythological
creatures to explain natural events such as seasonal change, with festivals like Samhain
and Beltane formed to honor these unexplainable happenings.
