I have no intuition.

What can I do

Study after study has shown the importance of intuitive decision-making while the likes

of Albert Einstein, Steve Jobs, Carl Jung and Richard Branson insist that the value

of our intuition far outweighs that of the rational mind.

Gerd Gigerenzer, a director at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development, goes so far

as to claim that intuition, or gut feeling, is the highest form of intelligence and that

those who actively work on developing their intuition are capable of making better, faster,

and more beneficial decisions.

He insists that there is a science to good decision-making, stating that the trick is

not to amass information, but to discard it: to know intuitively what one doesnt need

to know.

Speaking to the New York Times, Gigerenzer gave the following definition of intuition

or gut feeling, and how to develop it: My research indicates that gut feelings are based

on simple rules of thumb, what we psychologists term heuristics. These take advantage

of certain capacities of the brain that have come down to us through time, experience and

evolution.

Gut instincts often rely on simple cues in the environment.

In most situations, when people use their instincts, they are heeding these cues and

ignoring other unnecessary information.

Gigerenzer states that, in Western society, in particular, we have been conditioned to

believe that intuitive thinking is somehow wrong and inferior to the accepted rational

method of painstakingly gathering and weighing the evidence.

While the latter method obviously has its place, intuitive thinking is absolutely vital

in situations where quick decisions are needed.

He conducted studies that showed that, when a person relies on their gut feelings and

uses the instinctual rule of thumb go with your first best feeling and ignore everything

else, it can permit them to outperform the most complex calculations.

But Im not intuitive, what can I do?

Lets accept then, the overwhelming evidence out there and agree that intuitive decision

making is vital to success in many, if not all, fields of human endeavor.

What can you do if you have a lack of intuition, or if decades of schooling in the rational

methodology has left your intuition stunted and underdeveloped?

It seems help is at hand in the form of a product called Synctuition.

Its makers claim that theyve spent 10 years developing it, working with leading

psychologists, neurologists, meditation experts and musicians and sound engineers to combine

four technologies into one groundbreaking product.

By using binaural beats, gamma waves, 3-dimensional soundscapes and the listeners own personal

vocal frequency, Synctuitions 60 soundscapes induce a state of deep relaxation.

The power of sound

It is a well-established fact in neurological research that the stimulation and synchronization

of the left and right hemispheres of the brain have significant effects on thought processes.

During states of deep meditation the brain produces synchronized waves in the left and

right hemispheres.

The effect of producing synchronized sound waves on higher cognitive function through

manipulating brain waves results in improved intuitive thought process.

A clarity in the pre-cognitive brain waves formed by combining left and right brain functions

results in accessing the intuitive mind.

During meditation, for example, the corpus callosum (the bridge of nerve connections

between left and right hemispheres) becomes simulated and synchronized.

This effect can be turned on, and duplicated, the more practice you get.

The overall effect of practice is like that of getting any form of regular exercise, you

get better and stronger at it.

Binaural beats and neural entrainment

Neurons are constantly being created and formed in the parts of the brain that are used for

new activity.

A process called neuroplasticity both creates new neurons, and retrains existing neurons

into behaviors that are exercised regularly.

A phenomenon called cortical oscillation can be measured with an Electroencephalograph

(EEG).

This has demonstrated that the activity of neurons generate electric currents; and the

synchronous action of neural ensembles in the cerebral cortex, comprising large numbers

of neurons, produce macroscopic oscillations, which can be monitored and graphically documented

by an electroencephalogram (EEG).

Some researchers have published experimental results indicating that such listening precipitates

auditory driving by which ensembles of cortical neurons entrain their frequencies to that

of the binaural beat.

In other words, we have been able to measure changes to brain waves brought about by binaural

stimulation and have evidence that new behaviours can be learned at this fundamental level.

Binaural training may be a gentle way of training the brain to have new and different thoughts.

Now we know, and have proof, that music and certain patterns of sound can synchronise

brain patterns, and result in information or thoughts forming much faster.

It will even form new connections that once formed, are never lost.

How does Synctuition enhance your intuition?

Synctuition claims to use the latest technology in sound recording to produce specific patterns

of sound that stimulate the effortless flow of brainwaves between hemispheres of the brain.

The programs creators say it is designed to teach and exercise the brain to get better

at this by practice and promotes particular brain waves resulting in a higher level of

intuition.

By sitting undisturbed and listening through stereo headphones, the brain can benefit from

the regular stimulation, learning how to default to a more intuitive way of thinking with practice.

Weve tried it for ourselves and it really is fantastic.

Beyond the deep relaxation and meditative aspects, its simply an incredibly entertaining

and fun experience.

Wed liken it to giving your mind a full spa treatment.

4 Life Problems That Mean You Could Be Experiencing A Spiritual Awakening - Duration: 5:44.

4 Life Problems That Mean You Could Be Experiencing A Spiritual Awakening

by Conscious Reminder

We are all different people leading different lives and facing different obstacles, but

each and every of our journeys have one thing in common and thats growth.

And as growth is almost synonymous with change and changes are never easy its

almost impossible to avoid the paint it comes with it.

Since you are reading this, I believe that you have already had a little taste of growth

and changes.

You have experienced pain and emotional trauma, but you have outgrown it and recovered, and

came out a much better person.

Better meaning you are well on the way of becoming who you are meant to be.

If this happens to be a time of hardship, it probably means that you are leaving behind

your old self and the habits that serve you nothing anymore.Youre awakening to a new

self, one that does not want to be shackled by the old.

Dont fight the winds and dont swim against the tides, let go and let the flow carry you.

Here are four sometimes painful indicators that youre growing and ascending.

1.

Career change

Growth is funny in that what was good yesterday might not be so good years later.

Maybe youve had the same job for ten years, but suddenly you wake up one day and realize

that not only is this job that you used to love starting to feel empty, but its actually

draining you.

Career changes can be sudden and unexpected, or planned out and executed with tact.

The fact remains that something is out of alignment and your transition will take place

either by your hand or your employers.

But, do not become fearful.

These changes happen because better things are waiting for you just up ahead.

So long as you give in to the universe.

2.

Friends disappear from the map

Friendship often thrives on commonalities.

You have your friends because you like discussing the same things, you like doing similar activities

and you just seem to get along on a level that you dont with other people.

But, as you grow into your new self, these things can change.

So, you must be ready to acknowledge that sometimes friendships come to an end.

It might be that you have a new perspective on life and no longer wish to discuss the

same things or be a part of the same activities.

You will undoubtedly feel resistance from your friends who may become angry at your

newfound growth.

The only thing you can do is be yourself and continue moving in a direction that is in

alignment with your vibration.

This will attract other friends who are more aligned with who you are striving to become.

3.

Society doesnt approve of your spirituality

Spirituality in the modern era comes rife with stigma.

The majority of people on this planet seem to think that spirituality is just a word

used to describe hippy flower-children who prefer organic foods, wear gemstones, and

keep a dream journal.

Becoming more spiritual and connected to your inner self will make you vulnerable in this

sense.

The best thing to do when confronted with negativity about your spirituality is to simply

put it out of mind.

It can be uncomfortable hearing people demean your spirituality at first, but eventually

your understanding of the world helps you recognize that these people simply live in

the dark.

Project comfortability and confidence in your spirituality and people will realize they

cannot harm you.

4.

Loneliness kicks in

As you become more spiritual and begin to grow in new directions, it becomes more and

more clear that certain parts of your journey must be traveled alone.

If this loneliness is not something you can revel in, reach out to those in the spiritual

community.

Start going to a yoga class or maybe look for a meditative group.

Put yourself out there and the universe will give back.

Eventually, you will find that your loneliness has gone, because these new spiritual relationships

are providing you with what you need.

Another way to avoid feeling lonely is by practicing meditation.

When you look inward you begin to become comfortable just being alone in silence.

With meditation, you may be alone, but you will not feel alone.

I Had a Breakdown This Week - Duration: 7:07.

[Birds chirping] I completed the second week of The Artist's Way and it was a little strange,

just the whole week.

I encountered some of my own negativity about this project and also had a bit of a breakdown...

not sure how related to The Artist's Way that was, but it was definitely a thing.

So, I only actually missed one day of the Morning Pages this week, which was a big improvement

from last week.

I was able to do them much more consistently.

The footage that you're viewing right now comes from my Artist's Date, which was a walk

in the woods that was very healing for me after a very rough week, uh mental health

wise.

So, I did quite a few of this week's activities but felt rather disenchanted by them and I'm

sort of going to elaborate on that further.

I wrote a blog post entitled, "Encountering My Shitty Attitude".

"I noticed something in my Morning Pages today.

I'm starting to develop a shitty attitude towards The Artist's Way and Cameron's approach.

I like and understand the concept of the Morning Pages and the Artist's Dates, but I really

don't like the activities at the end of each chapter.

I also don't particularly enjoy reading each chapter.

These things feel like chores, not like fun (though do they even need to feel fun?).

I've also been doubting the effectiveness of activities such as, "Write down 20 things

you enjoy doing" and "Make a pie chart representing how balanced each aspect of your life is".

This reminds me of the kinds of exercises those life coaches who visited my high-school

would get us to do [sighs].

With some of them, I feel like I can smell bullshit.

Then there's lists such as "Basic Principals," "Creative Affirmations," and "Rules of the

Road" which say things like, "When we open ourselves to exploring our creativity, we

open ourselves to God: good orderly direction" and "My dreams come from God and God has the

power to accomplish them" and "Be alert, always, for the presence of the Great Creator leading

and helping my artist".

I understand that this kind of language may resonate with some people, but for me, personally,

it feels very hokey.

Cameron does acknowledge that everyone has their own concepts of God and spirituality,

but I can't help sensing how influenced by Christianity this text is.

And as an agnostic raised in a Buddhist household who has dabbled in Paganism [laughs], I feel like I

[birds chirping] can't relate to this conceptualization of spirituality at all.

It falls flat for me.

Now, I don't know if these are critiques of the book itself or me just identifying my

own resistance to working with the material, but there it is.

There are some things I understand, even enjoy, about The Artist's Way, and then there are

things that make me go mmmmm?

Perhaps this is all a part of the process.

Maybe it's a good thing I'm not accepting this text as gospel, but engaging with it

critically.

We'll see as the weeks go on...

Onto the breakdown [laughs].

I also had a bit of a breakdown this week and I don't know if it was related to The

Artist's Way or not.

I just got to the really rough place in terms of my mental health and just really wasn't

feeling okay anymore.

I felt really overwhelmed with a lot of things in my life, um I was also feeling very existential,

like questioning what the point of anything was.

It could have been a lot of things, it could have been The Artist's Way bringing some stuff

up, you know, doing those Morning Pages definitely brings things to the surface, um I could have

been really overtired, I could have done too much socializing, too much working, um, you

know, just sort of feeling stuck in a routine and rut.

Um, I kind of feel like it was a combination of a whole bunch of things that sort of just

made me feel really [sighs], really not good [laughs].

As I record this, though, I have done some self-care, um I have gotten to a bit of a

better place in terms of my mental health, so as of right now, I'm okay, but I definitely

got to a place this week where I really wasn't.

Yeah again [sighs], it's really hard sometimes mental health stuff to know exactly what is

causing that, but I think it's worth noting because it did happen during week two of The

Artist's Way.

Now onto some of the sort of miscellaneous things.

Uh, I did come up with a video idea in my pages one morning, that was exciting.

Cameron suggests you set aside thirty minutes for your Morning Pages, it takes me more like

forty, so I think it takes everyone like slightly differing an amounts of time.

I do really enjoy actually having that extra time in the morning to just like write and

sort of, like, get ready for my day and gear up, but I am definitely losing out on sleep

and so that's tricky.

Morning Pages do seem like a really great way to process things and sort of goals for

myself, uh you know, figure out where I'm going with stuff, so that's really cool, um

they're definitely not a place where amazing writing is happening [laughs], but I don't

think that's what they're supposed to be, and I don't - well, I don't really think there's

supposed to be anything really specific, but for me they seem like a really good place

of just like sorting stuff out.

And I want to add that I think the Artist's Dates are a really nice idea, but I feel like

I've always sort of done Artist's Dates.

I'm somebody who spends a lot of time of themselves and I do like go in the world and do things

by myself that are very enriching, and so I feel like the Artist's Dates are kind of

like already a natural part of my life, and so I don't feel like I'm experiencing any

major changes from that.

So, moving forward, um I'm gonna to try really hard [laughs] to start getting to bed earlier.

I was good this week with getting up earlier, but I need that sleep [laughs], so I'm gonna

try to put myself about earlier and like sort of read right before bed so it's easier for

me to fall asleep.

I really need to put less on my plate and have like, less expectations of myself, relax

a little more, so I don't get so overwhelmed and get to that place where I was this week,

where my mental health is really suffering.

And I think I just need to keep [laughs] recognizing and noting my resistance and my somewhat shitty

attitude [laughs] to some of the material that I'm being presented, like I think it's

great to be critical, but I think also I do have a bit of resistance and a bit of uh - an

added to thing with some of this stuff, and so I'm just going to keep noting that, keep

observing that as we move forward.

I would like to add that I'm going to absolutely keep making videos about my process with The

Artist's Way, but I think it might be a bit more realistic and a bit easier on me if I

make videos summing up every like two to three weeks rather than every single week, because

I would like to make videos on other topics as well and because I also think that having

a little bit of privacy as I continue on this journey would also be a good.

Posting my journey with this stuff online is great because it holds me accountable,

but it also kind of makes me feel like I have a bit of a spotlight on myself um for something

that is kind of a bit of uh - a private thing, and so I absolutely do want to keep talking

about it and keep making videos about it, but I just think it might be a little better

if I, you know, sum up two to three weeks at a time.

Thank you so much for coming on this journey with me.

Um, if you are working through The Artist's Way, I would love to hear how it's going for

you, how it's gone for you, uh otherwise, like tell me what you're working on, like

tell me what kind of creative things you have going on.

It's been really interesting so far hearing about people's experiences with The Artist's

Way, the things they liked about it, the things they didn't like about it.

Again, thank you for watching and I'll see you all again very soon.

Byyyyyyyyeeee.

Game of Thrones Season 7 Episode 2 PROMO PICS - Duration: 3:59.

Hello everyone.

HBO released 7 new photos of Episode 2 "Stormborn."

As I've said before, it seems like most of the promo pics released earlier WERE from

the first two episodes.

Some of these pics are from the same scene but are taken from a different angle, and

some of these are new pics.

So, let's take a look at them.

The first pic we see is of Arya.

It looks like I was wrong about this picture earlier.

I don't think it's from Winterfell now.

Remember how I said in my "Episode 1 review" video, that since they showed the Inn at the

Crossroads in the opening credits, it means that Arya will go there?

They also showed Dreadfort in the opening credits, which means someone will go to Dreadfort

too.

Since the Boltons are gone, maybe the Starks will give the Dreadfort to someone else?

Anyways, I think this picture is of the Inn at the crossroads.

I also said in my "Who will Arya meet" video that Arya will meet Hot Pie there, will

find out about the Starks and will head home.

The next Pic is from the scene we saw in the Episode 2 Trailer.

Tyrion is saying something and Dany, Yara and Ellaria Sand are looking at him.

This is where they will start planning the conquest of Westeros.

In the Trailer, Yara wanted to attack King's Landing, but Tyrion might not agree with this.

I already explained why Dany attacking King's Landing will be a bad idea in my Cersei Vs.

Dany video.

In the next pic, Maester Ebrose is making Sam haul all these books for him.

Sam is trying to say something to him, but he seems to be totally ignoring Sam.

Maybe Sam is still trying to convince him that they are not safe?

What do you think?

Then we see a few pictures of Winterfell.

Jon and Davos seems to be leaving while Sansa is looking at them.

I think it's obvious where Jon will be going, now that Sam will send him the location of

Dragonglass.

It looks like before leaving Winterfell, Jon will visit the Crypts, and LF will creep up

on him.

They are standing in front of Lyanna's statue and Jon looks very angry in this pic.

Jon is already angry and LF will say something that will make Jon lose his temper.

We already saw Jon attacking LF in front of Lyanna's statue in the first official trailer.

Jon will try to strangle him, but then he will leave.

In one of the other promo pics, we saw Jon leaving the crypts and he looked really mad.

If you want to see more of these photos, check out my Season 7 Promo Pic videos.

Anyways, it's time for the comment shoutout now.

Todays comment shoutout goes to lephant 5, who asked, "Do you think Sansa maybe planning

to go around LF and go for SweetRobin?

Or do you think she will use LF to rule over, or possibly kill SweetRobin?"

That's a very good question.

I think LF has a stronger hold on Sweet Robin than Sansa in the show.

We saw him easily manipulate Sweet Robin in season 6.

So, Sansa can't go around LF.

It's a huge risk.

I think Sansa needs to get rid of LF first, if she really wants to control Sweet Robin

or control the Vale.

Killing Sweet Robin would accomplish nothing because LF would still be the Lord of the

Vale, and Manipulating Sweet Robin is much easier than manipulating LF, even though Sansa

knows what he wants.

So, what do you think of these theories, don't forget to tell us in the comments.

Frame | Spoken Word Poetry | By: Poetic Daisy - Duration: 1:26.

Frame

If I had a frame for joyous moments I wonder what I would see,

Wonder if it could be used to trap all the happy

Times Skipping the tear-stained lines

Of pain, framing only those that're pleasant.

It could be a present To myself, here's the best your life has

had Minus all the bad

Moments Hopin'

To collect more as time goes on.

Star gazing on the lawn, Movies against a wall,

And that moment I went to a charity ball And tore up the dance floor with my date.

The picture frame would be there to remind me of all the great

Times and all the memories I've created To stop me from being jaded

When I've hit the bottom.

Memories of walking to campus in Autumn, Of friends and games and fun.

Memories of everyone That came in my life at different points

Connected by joints Of places: work, proximity, college,

Connected by the knowledge They have of me.

Wish I could readily see This frame as a constant reminder

That sometimes relationships end up in the grinder

But there's at least one moment that was sweet.

And everyone you ever meet Has contributed to a memory, maybe one worthy

of a frame, And life is nothing more than a game

Of collecting pleasant moments.

The End.
