so this is the my youtube journey tag and I got tagged by Chris J Asher check
him out down there I want to tag K and J day by day aka our
life and creative fam that was a lot of letters if any of you've already done it
then just no big deal you don't have to do it feel I doing it then go for it
that's how tags work the first question is what are you proud of a proud of not
being nervous in front of the camera anymore I am proud of loosening up some
like even in real life not just in front of the camera honestly at this point a
year ends the camera kind of sees my real life in the beginning I was a
little bit more serious and like kind of acting cool yeah I'm proud of loosening
up on camera and in real life now that we're making videos on a regular basis
I'm a lot more comfortable of sharing my life with everyone I feel more connected
to people and more acceptance not just from other people but more substance on
my behalf for other people this experience has given me the chance to to
learn more about myself and to learn more about who I really want to be
question 2 what have you learned I have to admit I'm kind of late to the
vlogging game and I've got a little bit of a learning resistance to the stubborn
what have you learned I've learned so much I have learned there's an answer to
everything on YouTube I have learned video editing and photography as well as
time management probably time management more than anything I think I've learned
how to set the white balance good sometimes I remember that's pretty cool
I've also learned that free time is one of the most important things to me and I
don't have enough and there is no way to make more time in
a day that's the main thing about it I remember to keep a battery charge I
remember to always be looking for great shot I've learned look into the hole I
did watch all the births make tips and I'm learning new stuff every single day
question question 3 is there a video that embarrasses me all of my early
videos I used to be able nervous used to be nervous I think most of my early
videos are cringy but that's just me I was a little nervous and trying to act
cool a little bit and I didn't feel that way when I was filming them but when I
watching back I just know anytime where I use a bad tonality or anytime I am
making a funky face or like I get cut do it to the weird in the background that's
just a little bit embarrassing but it's it's no big deal really being
embarrassed is always something to be laughing about later I was really
embarrassed in real life when I came across the dude that had seen me do bad
karaoke the DJ the karaoke DJ just happen to be the DJ at a bar I was
playing at and so he was like I think I know you man and I was like I think I
know you it's not that the video embarrasses me
but that was an embarrassing moment caught on my vlog let it go that's my
philosophy I just let it go so um I guess I'm not really if I ever do
anything that offends you I'm embarrassed about that some of my early
videos the color the color is a little embarrassing to me but not really I mean
it's a blog a lot of times I go a great and I shoot for something really
nice-looking but other times we just put some footage together and go sometimes I
document and sometimes I create and sometimes it's the balance of both but
yeah some of the colour in the early video there's a lot of like really
really red skin tones because it didn't have the white
that right I had a camera that you couldn't set the white balance so a lot
of the auto white balancing have my videos from my class winter we're shot
on a canon point and shoot and this before i got this one and the color is
kind of funky i don't like it but I wouldn't call it embarrassing how does
making a video help me in my private or professional life Wow
well talking to you guys has been a really big stress reliever for me a lot
of times in the last year when like life was really weighing me down I would just
come talk to the vlog and I would feel better well until birth Nick started
making these videos I really didn't give much thought to using this kind of media
for my own personal growth or for um or for my business but now as I'm looking
at it more as a way to connect with people that are really more like-minded
people that have more of a similar aesthetic or artistic musical I'm using
it more as a way to network with people that I think are interesting also making
YouTube videos really of my to promoting stuff on social media so professionally
that stuff to me learn things I can do to help grow our business editing a
video every day pretty much has really taught me time management I used to be
somewhat of a procrastinator at least to some extent making making videos has
pretty much made it impossible to procrastinate I don't have something
like big in my life that I need to take care of like I used to would have been
like are really need to blah blah blah that's all gone and that's because of
blogging part of it is because when I watch my own videos I'm holding myself
accountable for doing things I need to do I do need to get rid of my storage
still though that's the one thing but I haven't found a way to get that stuff
out of there because I don't have a place to put it in my house maybe I'll
put it in the business storage how about that what's the dream what's the dream
do you really have to ask what the dream cheddar fat cheddar dog what's the dream
it's not a dream it's a reality someday soon we'll make enough YouTube money to
travel around and make better videos and do more fun stuff and have more fun make
it more fun videos and it will just spiral and grow the dream is to go
wherever I want and get paid to make videos because it's
so fun to share videos with you guys if I could just full-time do that for a
living we would make much better videos and go a lot cooler places and someday
we're going to do that well we're headed there right now basically my YouTube
channel is a startup business that I'm slowly growing and the mattress store is
my main business and that's just how it is I don't look at it like maybe some
day off I just look at it like I'm going to build up and then one day we'll hit
the fulcrum where the YouTube business is my main business that's just I just
see it that way that's what we're doing that's what we're doing that's what I'm
doing I'm going big time I love it when I get tagged in these it gives me an
excuse Sid big time so what's the dream same dream that everybody has freedom
baby freedom sometime I guess I should explain sometime I guess I should
explain this Jamaican flag back here I've had it since I was about modern
eighteen seventeen or eighteen and yeah so it's just a cool decoration we've
always had and we do like to make it thanks guys so much thanks friends both
snickering oh I feel like that I think I might stick the bread Snickers thanks

it turned into a video that kind of really tells a lot about what my first
year on YouTube was like head I'll do the video just like this after after
another year on YouTube and we'll revisit these topics anyway thanks so
