Hi there, Vladimir here with another video about how to learn English

A while back I did this video about how to mimic the native speaker by repeating

right after instead of at the same time as the native speaker

You need to do that in order to better hear your own voice and compare it to the original

But let me tell you what's even better.

Let me share with you what I used to do when I first started learning English seriously,

It's a learning technique I call:

killing 4 birds with 1 stone

Killing 4 birds with 1 stone sounds too violent, let's change that, no more bird killing,

let's rename it simply 4 in 1

When I first started learning English in earnest with a textbook and dictionary

I used to do the following

I would

1. Read a text from a book, any book

2. Read out loud and record my voice

3. Play it back and listen to it

4. Write down everything

I would practice my reading, speaking, listening & writing in 1 go, at the same time

Read slowly, clearly and smoothly by connecting all words together

Then listen to your own voice and write everything down

Writing is extremely important writing will help you remember longer

Choose something appropriate for your level

ot too easy, not too difficult

don't familiarize yourself too much with the text

it is better to start reading right away

Read slowly, clearly and smoothly by connecting all words together

Make sure your voice has a flow

Before you focus on speaking, you need to work on your reading.

If your reading is not smooth and fluent your speaking cannot be smooth and fluent either.

It's something I talk about in my book Virtually Native, in the chapter on reading

Let me demonstrate this simple technique

First get a recorder of some sort ready

Next, find a text, something interesting though, something you are interested in

I generally advise against preparing don't prepare, don't pre-read

start reading right away

I am going to be completely honest and tell you that I've watched most of these talks

but was probably at least 5-6 ago, so I don't remember much

It is very nicely laid out in paragraphs

Choose a paragraph and start reading

listen to my voice as I try to read smoothly by connecting the end of one word

to the beginning of the next one all in one continuous stream of sound

Speed is not important, connecting is more important

Pay attention to punctuation marks

comma with flat or rising intonation and pause, and full stop with falling intonation and a pause

Here we go, 5 minutes in, pressing the record button

We synthesize happiness, but we think happiness is a thing to be found.

Now, you don't need me to give you too many examples of people synthesizing happiness,

I suspect.

Though I'm going to show you some experimental evidence, you don't have to look very far for evidence.

I took a copy of the New York Times and tried to find some instances of people

synthesizing happiness.

Here are three guys synthesizing happiness.

"I'm better off physically, financially, mentally

"I don't have one minute's regret.

It was a glorious experience."

"I believe it turned out for the best."

the next thing you wanna do is get a pen and piece of paper and write everything down

Pen and paper, it makes a lot of difference.

basically, writing helps you remember longer

don't type on the computer

Play back the recording, listen to it carefully and write everything down

pause after each sentence and work on your spelling.

As soon as you are done, compare your writing to the original.

How is your listening?

Are you able to understand your own pronunciation?

Not being able to understand your own accent is a sure sign you need to work on your pronunciation

That's pretty much it, that's my 4 in 1 learning technique

So what are we gonna do ? we gonna but dirt on our face .

Nah I'm joking . Barber's Treat send me this rich mineral clay

And I, unfortunately , yesterday tested this , but unsuccessfully .

I mean I tried to film this yesterday but

and I failed at one thing

So i decided to film this again now .

Since I already know how to do it

I hope I won't screw this up this time

so barber's treat

send me the whole box , where was this clay ,

black eukaliptus gel

which would look like that

and it's simple gel but you have to use this with

cessal scrubbing glove or sponge

and I also got this cute face towel .

which was raped in this hair band looking thingy

I also got this wooden bowl , wooden spoon and synthetic brush with wooden handle .

so

Me and my boyfriend noticedt

that this clay this face cream ...

not cream but I don't know how to call

face mask simply

For me I saw results after first time using it

which was softer skin ,

and as my boyfriend noticed

that it got lighter

and most of the blemished where gone

So today I'll quickly show you how to make this mask

because all you gonna need is this clay which is in powder form

and a bit of water .

Very easy , nothing complicated .

And if me and my boyfriend noticed results after first time of using this

its just means that this mask is really good and every girl or women should have this product in their home .

So lets open this,

This clay doesn't have any smell .

Also it's best to use non metal bowl but ceramic or wooden like I got .

I'm gonna leave a video tutorial

which takes like couple minutes

and which explains how to make this mask in couple minutes

So if you are not sure how I do mine

simply go watch that video and it will be left in the description below .

So now we gonna put 3 teaspoons of this powder clay .

Three teaspoons of this powder is in the bowl .

and now we need warm water

and also 3 teaspoons of water

but when I saw that video

if your clay gonna be still dray

you can put few more teaspoons of water

until you get drippy texture

and mix everything together

When I was watching that video yesterday

If I remember correctly

that you need to use 3 spoons of powder and 3 spoons of water

, but after experimenting I noticed that one teaspoon of powder and couple teaspoons of water is enough to make this clay for your face .

but it's up to you

because one teaspoon of powder is seriously enough

since now when I made from 3 teaspoons

and almost 6teaspoons of water

I got to much of it and I know from yesterday testing

that I was left with a lot of this product

and you only need a tiny layer of this to cover your whole face .

Now we let it sit for 5min or so .

After 5min I can finally put this mask on my face

Now when the mask is on , we just gonna wait for 10/15min so I'll see you all in 15min ^-^

Alright I may look a bit weird but my whole face is

extremely strained and I can't talk that's why I look so weird .

so let's go to wash this all

and then I'll explain what happened

My face is clean so what this clay have done to my skin ?

I can already see how recovered my face looks like .

Maybe a bit red

but it's probably because I just washed my face .

This clay it self when it's on your skin

, you can actually feel when bit by bit it hardens

and tightens your skin and that's why you saw so many cracks

It also moisturizes your face skin

because you already can feel how soft it is .

This mask also tightens pores ,

I can actually see that my most problematic part , my nose ,

that my pores has tighten up a bit and almost gone

And I also have many blemishes and acne on my face .

so I think to disappear completely I'll need to use them more than just once .

But on my instagram I'll definetly be showing how often I'm gonna be using this mask

and do I see any more results after using it .

because since I have tried this mask yesterday and now

as I said me and my boyfriend noticed

that after first time it actually showed results .

Which not every face mask can do the same .

And this black eucalyptus gel

I don't even know when I'm gonna use this because to use this I'll need

scrubbing glow or sponge

but the pack it self feels like having a slime in there

it's even more interesting that slime

How to check color value in Photoshop: 2 methods - Duration: 3:36.

Hi, guys and welcome to everydayidraw

Today I wanted to share a quick Photoshop tip with you.

This is the thing that I use pretty often and these are

two methods that I use

to check values on my picture.

I've talked more about what values are and why they are important

in my other video, so please check that out. Now I am going to show you

the first method.

There are several ways that you can turn your picture black and white (values)

in Photoshop. And I find that the most accurate

is Black and White option.

Generally I would do a new adjustment layer on top of everything that I drew.

And I would just leave it there, turning it off and on from time to time

to check how my values go and if I did not ruin them with my color.

I just use default settings

so I don't change anything in this layer set up.

And I just click on and off

this layer from time to time when I need to check my values.

But since you need to check your values pretty often during your drawing

and going into your layers panel and clicking

is not really that convenient, I will show you my second method,

that I've started to use recently. And I've learned it from

Liz Parfenova. I will leave her account in the links down below, you can check her out, she is amazing.

This one is quicker, it uses hotkeys.

We actually will use Proof Colors. You should click View on top panel of Photoshop.

You will see… Since I am on Mac,

it's CMD+Y and on Windows it will be CTRL+Y.

But before you will actually use this hotkey, you need to set up the colors.

So you will only see greys, blacks and whites – values that you actually need.

In order to do that you have to first click Proof Setup, than click Custom

and here what I prefer to use is Working Gray Dot Gain 20% or 25%.

That's totally up to you, there is not much difference in these

two grays, so choose whatever you like.

After you do that, you will have to save your preset and you do this

by licking on Save

and giving it some comprehensive name that you will remember later.

And then you will just have to choose your preset in Custom Proof Condition.

And this is basically it!

Now, when you will click CMD+Y, you will automatically see values.

I find this method to be much quicker and much easier.

I am a big fan of any hotkey in Photoshop, you name it.

So yeah… As you can see here, on my picture – since it's not finished, values on the top left corner are

completely screwed, so I use the second method to check them

and to make them work better. So yeah, this is it for today, guys.
