Battle of Lake Erie - 9/10/1813 - Duration: 1:00.

Today in military history, 1813.

Oliver Hazard Perry becomes the first

commander of any military in the world

to defeat a British naval squadron,

and he does it on Lake Erie during the War of 1812.

Captain Perry commanded a fleet

of nine American ships on the Great Lakes.

The two sides fought like madmen for hours on end,

and victory wasn't assured for anyone.

Perry's flagship, the Lawrence, was completely wrecked

during the fighting, so Perry took command

of the Niagara and sailed it right into the British

with raking fire that forced the British

to strike their flags and surrender.

The battle killed 27 Americans and 40 British.

But the Brits were forced out of Detroit

and out of Lake Erie.

After the battle, Perry sent a message

to General William Henry Harrison

with his now famous declaration of victory,

"We have met the enemy and they our ours."

Top 9 Crazy Fan Skins! - League of Legends - Duration: 12:38.

What's up guys it's me Jeremy!

It's been a while since we talked about some awesome fan skin concepts, and we always

enjoy showcasing what the talented League community comes up with.

So we spent a bit of time searching for some fan-made skins that we haven't shown before,

and today we'll be going through 10 of our favorites!

The first skin on our list today is Angel of Death Kayle by Ann Marie Cochran.

Even though Kayle is considered to be a hero trying to eradicate evil, Riot often experiments

with skins to make a champion portray a very different character.

The artist here has done the same thing—Angel of Death Kayle is a darker take on her character,

featuring a scythe instead of her flaming blade, and bulky, skull-covered armor to show

that she's not here to make friends.

One of the really cool parts about this skin design is all the different masks that Ann

Marie iterated while looking for the perfect match.

Some of the mask designs are similar to human skulls, whereas some look more like a knight's

helm, although the final design is pretty unlike both of those styles.

Either way, it looks seriously cool and we'd love to see Riot take some inspiration from

this design in the future.

Our next skin to talk about today is by concept artist Noah Warner, and it's called Oni

Poppy.

In terms of production quality, this might be one of the best fan made skins we've

ever seen, the level of detail is just insane.

The oni theme actually really suits Poppy, to the point that we are surprised it's

never been done before, and the red/blue color scheme really stands out well on the Rift.

Noah used the same concept iteration method that Riot themselves use, testing different

versions of Poppy's clothing, horns, hammer and buckler to find the version that best

suits the Oni theme, and there's quite a surprising amount of detail present here too.

One of the most awesome things about this skin is that Noah spent the time to recreate

Poppy's abilities with new VFX to match the oni theme, and it's honestly just perfect.

If we hadn't seen this on artstation, we would not have been surprised at all to find

out this was an actual Riot product, so amazing job Noah and we hope to see this skin in action

one day!

Midnight Soraka by Jean Lee is up next, and we want to take this opportunity to talk a

little about the player preferences.

There's quite a few players out there that avoid particular champions simply because

they don't really appeal at all to them visually.

This tends to happen more with supports than other roles, but now and again a skin comes

along that transforms their appearance so much that those players will actually pick

up the skin and try out the champion.

We've heard a few times about people avoiding Soraka for similar reasons, and Riot's Reaper

skin probably fixed that issue for a few people.

Unfortunately Reaper Soraka is a legacy skin, so a lot of players never had the chance to

buy it.

The Midnight Soraka skin by Jean Lee is a super clean concept that accomplishes a similar

thing—it appeals to players that generally don't like how Soraka looks or feels.

The skin is a lot darker than most of Soraka's available skins, and the moon theme would

likely help it go down well with a lot of players.

If it really is possible to get players to try a champion just by releasing an awesome

skin, we think Midnight Soraka might be a good candidate for an official Riot release.

Jean Lee is also the mastermind behind our fourth skin for today, Popstar Sona.

Riot occasionally creates a new skin that goes down so well that they end up turning

it into an recurring theme, and Jean's next concept is imagining what the Popstar theme

would look like if it was applied to Sona.

As an effeminate and music-focused champion, Sona would be a really good match for a Popstar

skin, and we really like the direction than Jean took the skin.

The concept flows really well, and color scheme matches up well with Ahri's skin.

It's also pretty distinct from Sona's other official skins, which is pretty hard

to achieve with a champion that is always going to have a musical focus.

Overall it's a solid concept, although it would probably struggle to compete with the

highly popular DJ and Arcade Sona skins.

Tumblr user PenTheSilence is up next with the Bride Katarina skin concept, and it's

a pretty interesting take on a skin that we've never really seen before.

Wedding dresses don't typically make it high up on a list of ideal combat clothing,

but if anyone was going to kick ass on the Rift in their wedding outfit it would probably

be Katarina.

Unfortunately, this skin is probably the least likely to make it into the game because it's

a pretty big jump from the kind of skin Riot usually makes, plus it would probably take

a ton of modelling and animating work to give the dress the flowy feeling that it would

require—otherwise it would just seem weirdly stiff and rigid.

That being said, it's still a really cool concept and we hope that ideas like this will

help Riot become even more adventurous with their skins.

Maja Deke is an illustrator and the mastermind behind both of our next skins, starting with

Project Diana.

Like Star Guardian Ahri, the Diana concept is designed to be an addition to an existing

and highly popular skin line.

Like the other Project skins, Diana is fitted with cybernetic armor and a really futuristic

looking blade, and it actually suits her insanely well.

It bares a few similarities to Project Fiora in particular, although thanks to Diana's

long hair and curved weapon, you would never confuse the two.

That's pretty important for Riot since skins can really change quite a lot about a champion,

but those two features in particular are very recognisable.

Project skins are typically well known for their amazing VFX and sound effects, so it's

a shame we don't get to see Diana in action—but who knows, maybe Riot will draw some inspiration

from this design when they consider adding new champions to the Project lineup.

Academy Taric is the second Maja Deke skin for today, and it's

actually just as fabulous as you might have hoped.

Instead of playing the role of a school student, Academy Taric is instead modelled after a

teacher, so he's dressed pretty sharply with the exception of the open shirt revealing

his bare chest.

You have to keep skins kinda true to character after all, so it would make sense that Taric

would never want to button that shirt up.

My favorite part of this skin has gotta be his hammer though—smacking people with a

hammer made out of two massive books is a pretty novel idea, and it helps tie the skin

together as being part of the Academy line rather than being a standalone skin.

The biggest issue with this skin is probably the name—as Taric isn't a student, the

skin would probably be sold under a different label, kinda like Headmistress Fiora.

It's not really an official addition to the skin line, which justifies it looking

considerably different from the other Academy skins.

Headmaster Taric might be a good way to sell it!

Ninth on a list today is something straight out of World of Warcraft; it's Gatekeeper

Karma by concept artist and illustrator Vlad Bacescu.

Most people were really happy with the changes made to the Gatekeeper Galio skin after his

VGU, and Vlad has used that updated skin as inspiration for his take on Karma.

Visually they are extremely similar—they appear to be very demonic, with red skin and

the jade green horns and trim.

Vlad also included examples of Karma's VFX, and even a side by side with the official

Gatekeeper Galio skin, and they just look absolutely amazing next to each other.

One of Karma's defining features, her 'wings' have been well adapted to suit the Gatekeeper

theme, becoming more demonic in nature with a creepy looking set of jaws following closely

behind.

It's not known currently whether Riot want to keep the Gatekeeper theme to be Galio-exclusive,

but honestly this has very quickly become one of the best skins I've ever seen—both

inside and outside of the game.

Our final skin for today is

Pulsefire Jhin, another design by Vlad Bacescu.

Like Gatekeeper, Pulsefire was originally exclusive to Ezreal, although Riot later expanded

the line to include another marksman, Caitlyn.

As with Gatekeeper Karma, Vlad goes into incredible detail on his iterations of Jhin's helmet,

clothing and weaponry, and he even spent the time to create his own versions of Jhin's

VFX to match the Pulsefire lineup.

Something we've never really seen before is that Vlad also attempted a few different

recolors, basically doing Riot's job for them by creating his own chroma pack with

a few different styles.

All five chromas do justice to the Pulsefire skin line, although the base skin is definitely

the best match overall.

We are incredibly impressed with the work of all the artists we featured today, it just

goes to show that the League of Legends community is full of extremely talented people, and

Riot has no shortage of awesome concept artists and

skin developers!

Why JFK Opposed the March on Washington - Duration: 17:39.

Announcer: At this time, I have the honor to present to you...the moral leader of our

nation.

I have the pleasure to present to you…

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

You'll notice the exact date- the exact issues

to protest were changed several times, but in spring 1962, civil rights leaders announced

they would have a march on Washington for 'Jobs and Freedom' (Stern, 94).

You'll also notice they were immediately met with resistance.

Even though Dr. King wrote to a colleague that the march could be, "one of the greatest

demonstrations for freedom that has ever been held in America,", the establishment in

Washington believed the protests could be counterproductive, leading to civil unrest.

According to Mark Stern in his book "Calculating Visions":

"Rumors flew about Washington that massive sit-ins in the Congress or traffic blockages

in the streets would be used to disrupt the nation's capitol.

Fear was in the air.

'How can this country endure,' asked Senator Russell of Georgia, 'when we legislate on

the basis of threat and intimidations from mobs?'"

But it wasn't only southern senators with concerns.

Even Presidents of the AFL-CIO and NAACP feared that clashes in DC could hurt the effort to

pass sweeping civil rights legislation through the Congress (Stern, 94).

Two days later, President Kennedy hosted the organizers of the march in the White House.

His purpose was clear: lower both the expectations and the initiative of the activists.

Lower their expectations that civil rights legislation could be passed without compromise

- lower their initiative to have a large event in Washington DC.

He told them, "We want success in the Congress, not a big show on the capitol,".

In other words, stay home.

Don't demonstrate.

Even admitting that sit-ins and freedom rides had done wonders to change public opinion,

Kennedy requested the leaders abandon their plans (Dallek, 642).

You might be wondering why Kennedy would resist a march, a tactic he knew to be effective.

JFK was an icon of the Civil Rights Movement, and yet there he was, actively resisting organizers.

This isn't an isolated example; as you'll see, Kennedy wasn't a natural leader on

civil rights, and to truly grasp his imperfections with this topic, we need to go deeper.

The March on Washington was planned 100 years after Abraham Lincoln signed the emancipation

proclamation.

Between these two events, the proclamation and the march, black Americans participated

in every American military conflict.

Over 1 million enlisted in World War 2 alone (New Yorker, PBS).

And yet when they returned home, they continued to face a system designed to keep them segregated

in public, and distanced from the ballot box.

In 1940, only 3% of African Americans in the South were registered to vote (ACLU).

1954's Brown vs. Board of Education, declaring segregated schools for black and white children

unconstitutional, was widely resisted.

And the 1957 Civil Rights Act passed under the Eisenhower Administration lacked the teeth

necessary to substantively improve these conditions.

In fact, Eisenhower had to use the National Guard to force the integration of 9 African

American students into Little Rock Central High School.

These were the rumbles under society, threatening a larger quake.

With the '57 Civil Rights Act, the Federal Government had shown its willingness to intervene,

but a more active chief executive would be necessary to achieve full constitutional rights

for African Americans.

Enter our mixed figure: John F. Kennedy.

As the Senator from Massachusetts, he supported the watered down reforms of the 50's.

But rather than pushing for something more substantive, he always had his eye on the

politics- specifically, the Presidency.

As Robert Dallek writes in his biography of Kennedy "An Unfinished Life": "Jack's

interest in civil rights was more political than moral.

The only blacks he knew were chauffeurs, valets, or domestics, with whom he had minimal contact...He

could not empathize, and only faintly sympathize, with the pains felt by African Americans,".

But you can push this even further.

Kennedy knew that Democratic Party victory, his victory in a national election, involved

winning black voters while also not alienating the vast Democratic South.

Again, reading from Mark Stern's Calculating Visions: "the black rights issue was not

of particular interest to him...Kennedy, the senator, was never to stray too far into the

civil rights thicket.

He was keenly aware of the Democratic Party divisions over civil rights.

White southerners wanted the federal government to stay away from this issue; in their view

it was strictly a state matter.

Blacks and their allies wanted federal intervention in civil rights; it was the only way to bring

about change,".

These calculations didn't end once Kennedy entered the 1960 Presidential election against

then Vice President Richard Nixon.

Announcer: This is the second in a series of programs unmatched in history.

Never have so many people seen the major candidates for President of the United States at the

same time.

And here tonight are...The Republican candidate, Vice President Richard M. Nixon.

And the Democratic candidate, Senator John F. Kennedy.

Will: In the second Presidential debate, Kennedy attacked Nixon for failing to address central

questions on civil rights, "Well, Mr. Nixon hasn't discussed the two basic questions:

what is going to be done and what will be his policy on implementing the Supreme Court

decision of 1954?

Secondly, what's he going to do to provide fair employment?"

Then, when asked to submit a solution of his own, he gave a sorry four-point plan: one

which already happened a few years before, and three points which were vague and noncommittal.

If you're like me, you'll find his words empty...and...'politiciany'

"We sit on a conspicuous stage.

We are a goldfish bowl before the world.

We have to practice what we preach.

We set a very high standard for ourselves.

The Communists do not.

They set a low standard of materialism.

We preach in the Declaration of Independence and in the Constitution, in the statement

of our greatest leaders, we preach very high standards,"

This was the political reality: both Presidential candidates vaguely supportive of civil rights,

but neither with concrete plans.

Kennedy and the Democratic Party platform were so imprecise, in fact, that a New York

Times editorial declared Nixon's plan "somewhat more realistic," (Stern 30, NYT 7/28/60).

All that said, Kennedy's calculation that he could be the 'lesser of two evils'

paid off.

Anchor: "Senator Kennedy, his wife and mother go into the armory for his victory speech.

Here inside the armory the once Junior Senator from Massachusetts, now at the age of 43,

the President-elect of the United States," He won the 1960 election, achieving over 70%

of the African American vote.

Anchor: "The popular vote column by the way- it's still very close- uh...Senator

Kennedy's lead is about, uh, roughly, 700,000,"

The election was so narrow that he wouldn't have won without them.

And so the logical question was, now in power, would he continue to operate as a hollow supporter

of civil rights, or would he rise to the occasion, and let actions overcome his missing words?

Historian Thomas Reeves wrote of Kennedy's values entering office.

He brought, "many of the ideas his father had instilled in all the Kennedy children,

among them 'his overall lack of interest in domestic reform,'" (Logsdon 38, Reeves

310).

Tensions between the incoming President and civil rights leaders were high.

Martin Luther King told Harris Wofford that while, "I'm convinced that he has the

understanding and the political skill...I'm afraid that the moral passion is missing,"

(Dallek, 380).

To him, Kennedy seemed dedicated only to "token integration".

Again, reading from Dallek's An Unfinished Life, "Much of the resentment during the

first six months of Kennedy's term concerned the fact that he would neither sign a promised

Executive Order desegregating federally financed housing nor ask Congress for a civil rights

law,"

Aside from occasional actions of the Justice Department under Bobby Kennedy on voting rights,

or the hiring of quote "50 outstanding negroes" to high administrative posts, JFK's first

months in office were mute on civil rights (Dallek 383).

In 'The Evolving Presidency', Michael Nelson writes that, "Not only did he fail

to press for new laws to protect the rights of African Americans and other racial minorities,

but he also resisted taking the executive actions he had promised during the campaign,

such as ending discrimination in federally funded public housing,"

To civil rights leaders, it seemed that the President would never change strategy.

Kennedy was settling for political stability over fundamental change.

But as you'll see, events in the coming years would rattle his stance.

Starting in 1961, black and white activists rode interstate buses through the deep south

to protest segregation in public transportation.

After all, the Supreme Court Decision in Virginia vs. Boynton had made racial seating in interstate

travel illegal.

For their efforts, the activists were stopped, beaten, firebombed- if lucky, merely arrested.

Kennedy, while pursuing backroom deals to end the violence, in my opinion, came to an

odd conclusion: that the provocations of protesters were antagonizing whites.

Rather than being supportive, he believed that the rides needed to end.

"Can't you get your goddamned friends off those buses?"

He was more embarrassed than concerned, citing an upcoming meeting with Soviet Secretary

Khrushchev as a reason to stop the rides.

How foolish would he appear to the Russians with racial tensions boiling back home (Stern

59)?

Through this, Kennedy became what Dr. King later described as the 'negro's great

stumbling block', not the 'Ku Klux Klanner', but rather "the white moderate who is more

devoted to 'order' than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence

of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says 'I

agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;'"

This letter was part of an effort to combat Kennedy's apathy.

King endeavored to awaken the nation's conscience.

The words were written by King sitting in a jail cell in Birmingham Alabama, where he

was arrested for demonstrating against that city's racial segregation, potentially the

worst in the entire nation.

In May 1963, the all-white local politicians involved the all-white police force and fire

department to prevent quote "parading, demonstrating, boycotting," or "picketing" of any kind.

Officer: "You are in violation of section 1159 of the city code: demonstratin' and

paradin' without a permit- also violating the traffic --junction against paradin'"

Those in violation were met with nightclubs, canines, and water hoses.

If the President wouldn't act, Dr. King hoped the images on TV of peaceful demonstrations

suppressed with such violence would awaken a movement, forcing action from the White

House.

At the climax of the campaign in Birmingham, the activists made the controversial decision

to involve children in the marches.

Steven Levingston in his book 'Kennedy and King' describes how this tactic played out

with authorities: "...water burst from the fire hoses, bombarding

the children, knocking them to the ground and spinning them down the street...to enhance

the force, firefighters funneled the flow of two hoses into one nozzle, packing it with

such ballistic fury it dislodged bricks from buildings.

These jets were directed at the children, driving across their bodies, lacerating their

flesh, tearing clothing off their backs," (Levingston, 352).

Levingston goes on to write: "Before Birmingham, only 4 percent of Americans

polled believed civil rights was the country's most urgent issue; after Birmingham, that

figure jumped to 52%".

Announcer: "This is what happened as Nicholas Katzenbach accompanied by two federal marshals

left their car and approached governor wallace standing in the schoolhouse door.

The two negro students, Vivien Malone and Jimmy A. Hood, stayed in the car.

The time was about 12:47 pm Eastern Daylight Time,"

A month later, in June 1963, the University of Alabama was ordered by a federal district

judge to integrate Vivien Malone and James Hood into their student body.

Alabama Governor George Wallace literally stood in the door of the Foster Auditorium

on campus in order to block their registration, only standing down when ordered by the national

guard (Dallek, 603).

Then, and only then- indeed that very night after Gov. Wallace stood down, Kennedy snapped

into action.

So quickly, it seems like the story gets ahead of itself.

On television and with moral clarity, Kennedy was ready to give full-throated support to

comprehensive civil rights legislation.

"We are confronted primarily with a moral issue.

It is as old as the scriptures and is as clear as the American Constitution...One hundred

years of delay have passed since President Lincoln freed the slaves, yet their heirs,

their grandsons, are not fully free.

They are not yet freed from the bonds of injustice.

They are not yet freed from social and economic oppression.

And this Nation, for all its hopes and all its boasts, will not be fully free until all

its citizens are free."

So wait a minute, because our story seemingly advanced at random.

We established President Kennedy as a man of inaction.

He rejected countless previous opportunities to intervene on behalf of civil rights, and

now suddenly, there he was- a changed man?

A cynic looks at Kennedy at this moment, and critiques the President.

Making a plea on television didn't advance a civil rights bill through the congress.

Vice President Lyndon Johnson, someone who made their career negotiating bills in the

Senate, doubted that it could be done (Dallek 602).

And forces were immediately set against the bill as seventeen southern senators met for

over an hour the next morning to strategize how to kill it at all costs (Levingston, 407).

On the other hand, no President before had ever spoken on the issue with absolution and

conviction.

Clearly, Kennedy made the realization that his 'balancing act' style strategy was

failing.

Furthermore, it seems he felt a compulsion to act as a moral leader in that moment.

Levingston writes that: "...he not only asserted his political will, he also lifted

the nation onto a higher moral plane,".

Though five months prior he had told confidants that civil rights legislation was off the

table, he clearly changed his mind (Levingston 406).

Both he and Vice President Johnson recognized that their actions might mean losing the south

to Republicans for generations to come, but they did it anyway.

And the next day, civil rights leaders like Dr. King flooded the White House with praise.

Now let me give you my opinion, because after watching this far, you might find yourself

believing that President Kennedy is the protagonist of our story.

Like great heros in all classic tales, a champion is born, faces a challenge, rejects his call

to action, but eventually, makes the choice to fight for what's rights and to grow as

a person.

But unfortunately, history is not a fairytale, and John F. Kennedy is not a hero.

Kennedy, the American people, the leadership in Congress, the future President who actually

would usher through the passage of civil rights legislation in 1964, they all were dragged

by their collars in the direction of justice.

At every turn, it was civil rights leaders like Dr. King who impressed the dire urgency

of action onto the President.

It was they who surveyed the candidates in 1960, demanding their agendas be improved-

who made constant contact with the newly elected Commander-in-chief, asking why his housing

reforms weren't in place, why he wasn't protecting the freedom riders, why he only

supported 'token integration' of public schools- who wrote to him and the white establishment

from a jail cell, "For years now I have heard the word 'Wait!'

It rings clear in the ear of every Negro with piercing familiarity.

This 'Wait' has almost always meant 'Never.'"

Kennedy may have eventually come to the decision to introduce civil rights legislation- and

maybe he did grow as a leader in doing so, but the political capital necessary was earned

through the demonstrations in Birmingham, the citizens who confronted german shepherds

and water hoses to grind urgency in public support from 4% to 52%.

We see the true face of the unrushed Kennedy, when just 10 days after making his lauded

speech to the nation, he relapsed.

Sanguine from his saline sack of the status quo, he once again he told civil rights leaders

gathered in the White House that they should "wait" and not march on Washington DC.

"We want success in the Congress, not a big show on the capitol...Now we are in a

new phase, the legislative phase..to get votes we need we have, first, to oppose demonstrations

which will lead to violence, and, second, give Congress a fair chance to work its will,"

Kennedy hadn't changed.

Luckily, neither had they.

"Frankly," King told him, "I have never engaged in any direct action movement which

did not seem ill-timed," A. Philip Randolph, speaking for the entire

group, added, "There will be a march,"

Let us rise to the call of freedom- loving blood that is in us and send our answer to

the tyranny that clanks its chains upon the South.

In the name of the greatest people that have ever trod this earth, I draw the line in the

dust and toss the gauntlet before the feet of tyranny . . . and I say . . . segregation

today . . . segregation tomorrow . . . segregation forever.

A Day at Our Favorite Places in Downtown Dubai - Duration: 6:22.

We live in downtown and today we're gonna take you around to some of our

favorite places for food and entertainment. Mostly food because that's

how we roll on the weekends. Dubai's downtown is anything that's around

that building!

we need to walk a bit so let's go.

So our first stop is Taipei Dao which is the place we come to for Taiwanese food

but more importantly;

bubble tea!

Happy!

Bubble tea...

this guy's favorite.

Why is bubble tea so great?

It's because it's tasty and chewy.

Just imagine a milk-tea with gummy bears in it.

And luckily we're in a real Taiwanese place, so there won't be popping ones

but chewy ones. That's the real deal.

I'd say this place probably has authentic bubble tea.

Yeah. Well I mean, if you look at the menu, you see them they are

enjoying it here themselves.

So we are not alone around the world drinking this and going crazy about it.

He is going crazy about it. Come on, it's so good!

So we got our bubble teas now. Hana got a black tea matcha and mine is a

green tea matcha. She already tried it. Okay how is it good? It's really good.

I prefer the black tea cuz I'm not a huge fan of green tea.

I know green tea is really healthy but black tea is good. I'm having my go now.

Wow! All those bubbles.

So we're done at Taipei Dao. We're full of bubble tea but we need something

more foodie to eat. So we're gonna head over towards Dubai Mall to one of our

favorite Syrian restaurants. Let's go!

So we walked a little bit too far and ended up in Souk al Bahar.

but it conveniently placed right next to

another one of our favorite spots which is the Dubai Mall Fountain. It's about to

start so let's go check it out!

So after fountains, we finally made it to Al Hamidieh, and now we are going to enjoy

the best Syrian food in downtown I must say. This is our Smultronställe;

our secret, little, perfect spot that we go to, way too much for dinner.

Yeah every time someone is visiting us, for Arabic food we take them here.

In Dubai actually most of the Arabic food, I would say is from Lebanese cuisine, but this restaurant is

actually famous with their Syrian home cooked dishes, so we are going to enjoy

them big time now. I am so excited!

Let's do it!

It's night and it's time for some evening refreshments.

But first, let's have a dress change.

Let's go!

It's been a long day and we're pretty exhausted. We're about to go home but

thank you guys for hanging out with us today throughout this whole video.

Luckily we can walk home, because we literally haven't been further away than one

1 km from our house. We have been cheating a little.

So if you wanna hear more from us or videos about Dubai. Please subscribe to our channel.

And don't forget to like this video!

Yes!

Bye!

Take care! Bye.

BAP - Honeymoon | Cover | Angie - Duration: 4:09.

Till dawn Little by little, slowly, the moonlight gets wet

Chasing out the long darkness in the night

Wait up, wake up. Yeah, we already feel the same

Throw away your complicated thoughts, don't be afraid

Free up your balled up instincts

When the moon shines on us brighter

We're alive in the moment

Feels like the Honeymoon

Feels like the Honeymoon

Feels like the Honeymoon

Let's talk it's about time Sweep it all away, lose the essence

After a fight with the world I'm going through a civil complaint

The truth is null, cuz they turn away from it Always justify, raising the flag

Same ****, oh different day

The origin of the word, reality If you can't avoid it, just dance

Listen to your heart, it's okay

Trust your thoughts right now, whole new day

The voice that fills this place

We're alive in the moment

Feels like the Honeymoon

Feels like the Honeymoon

I feel good, it is true, life is Colorful

With my own light, paint the world

In this blurry world

Your light will spread even clearer

In front of the high wall is a red rose

Keep it deep in my heart

I will do my best For the dream that blooms in my heart

Showering my body With the overflowing stars from beneath the palm tree

A film on the shining freedom and bright youth I want to take you higher

No fear, I won't just avoid it We're beautiful

I know you hate it But I'm freer than I've ever been

I feel good, it is true, life is Colorful

With my own light, paint the world

Even this rough wind Enjoy it, feel so cool

Darkness disappears

I feel good, it is true, life is Colorful

With my own light, paint the world

Even this rough wind Enjoy it, feel so cool

Darkness disappears

Feels like the Honeymoon

Thanks for watching! :)

English for Spanish Speakers 46 - 'approve a test' or 'pass a test'? (with subtitles) - Duration: 2:36.

Hello once again everyone, and welcome back to 'One English Tip in One Minute

for Spanish Speakers' where each week I talk about, in detail, one common

English mistake made by those who speak Spanish as a mother tongue, and this is

the 46th video...or video number 46.

Okay I think I know how this goes. You know

what I'm going to say, and you kind of roll your eyes like 'Oh, here he goes

again,' but you know what...you like it. I think you know you like it. I don't

know, anyway. Again -- and I mean this -- I totally appreciate the fact that you're

working to improve your English. I hope you keep it up, and I hope these

videos help. In these videos, I show you a slide, and on the slide there are

two sentences: One is the correct way that someone who speaks English as a

mother tongue would say it, the other is the wrong way that many Spanish speakers

say it. Your task is to decide which one is correct. Please do that now.

Read the sentences, listen to me read the sentences, think about your answer, pause

the video and I will talk about the answer in the slide that follows this

coming slide.

Again, if you got it wrong -- or if you just took a wild guess and happened

to get it right without knowing why -- I hope you now know why as we talked about

it in the last slide. I hope you start to study to get past this mistake.

To start you off on that process -- and it's a very simple beginning -- I've given

you three sentences to study from. Memorize these sentences in their

entirety, review them -- really get them into your head -- and put into practice

what you've learned through speaking or writing or both...and use the many, many

resources that are out there to help you (including my own...but there are many

others, of course, as well). So, yeah, just work to get past that mistake.

ENG SUB) Review : Serums HUXLEY / Worth the hype ? Avis sur les sérums Huxley ! - Duration: 8:01.

Hello everybody and welcome to my channel

or welcome back if you're a subscriber !

I'm here because I wanted to film a review

of a product / a brand that is quite famous in Korea right now

So it's the brand Huxley !

I tried their serums

I bought a mini sample kit where there were 3 bottles (the 3 bestsellers of the brand)

I'm going to talk about them and I even bought again one of them

in a full-sized !

The review will be focused on this one !

First, I'm going to talk about the mini that I enjoyed the least

It's the thicker one

like a gel

I didn't like this one because of its texture

I found it quite greasy, it didn't apply well to my skin

I didn't see any results using it either. So I don't like it that much

In the kit, there was also this one

the oil-based one. It's called the "Oil Light and More"

I really enjoyed this one !

it's not really for my skin type. It's more suited

toward dry skins or combination skins

like you have dry and oily skin at the same time

But I liked to use it at night time

so it gives

more hydratation to my skin

I used it like a sleeping pack

So, the next morning, my skin was luminous !

Also, what I found was good

even if I have oily skin

I applied this serum the morning and it gives a nice shine to my skin

not too greasy either and then I followed with my makeup and foundation

My skin looks very pretty, healthy !

It looked very pretty !

The skin looked healthier !

So, it goes well with my makeup and I found it even more pretty in the summer time !

Next, I'm going to talk about

the serum for my skintype which I tested longer

because I used up this miniature

and I began to use the full-sized bottle

So I used this serum for about a month now

The serum is called "Grab Water Essence"

it's blue and for oily skins

First I'm going to tell you its ingredients

like the main ingredients or why they are in this serum. Then, I will give you my review

If I look here, it's because I have the ingredient list here as well

First, it's made up of

prickly pear which is good

for hydratation and for protecting the skin

from exterior factors like pollution etc ...

There is also camu-camu

which is a tiny berry

which contains much more vitamin C than the acerola for example

or than the orange too

the camu-camu is going to reduce the imperfections of the skin

of the skin, to make the complexion looks brighter

Next, there is also pepper mint and japonese shiso in it

they are 2 anti-inflammatory

to calm down redness and blemishes

Then, there

is also hyaluronic acid in it

so it's good

to make the skin looks plumper

And finally there is acorus

it's from chinese medicine which helps

to brighten up the tonus of the skin and also good for blood circulation

That's it for the main ingredients. The serum is mainly going to

moistuirize the oily skin

while helping to reduce the imperfections

that you can have. Personally, I used it mainly during the night but now I use it mornings and nights

so twice a day

I really like the consitency of the serum, it's quite unique I find

it looks like a gel

but very watery, liquidy

Also, this bottle is very pretty ! It looks like this

And you can see that the serum is blue !

There even are little bobbles

Its box is also very nice !

So, I apply the serum twice a day like I said, morning and night

Now, I'm going to talk about the effects I saw on my skin

on my skin

Firstly, I was very surprised because I was looking for my oily skin

but which can be absorbed quickly

(because this was during summer time and I didn't want something too thick which stays on the skin)

But it's not the case for this one. It's absorbed really quickly !

You apply it on the skin and after 2 mins,

the serum is completetly absorbed

Also, it has a cooling sensation, very fresh

although I do not keep it in my fridge, but it's very pleasant

Its scent is quite strong (fresh)

But some people can be bothered by the scent, I think

If you're very sensitive to heavy scent, you can have headaches

For me, it wasn't the case and I enjoy this scent

It was even made by a professionnal laboratory

Then, for the other effects

It has been one month since I began using it

and I must say that, indeed, I saw that

my skin was plumper

smoother and softer after using it, it's very obvious

I also find,

that after using it day after day

during the whole month, I think my skin was more radiant

and also, a thing that I didn't know

when purchasing the serum, I didn't think that it would have effects on my imperfections

but it's the definitively the case ! My skin is much moçre healthier

My imperfections were calmed down

and disappeared a bit ! It's very evident

After, the hydratation lasts quite a long time

maybe not the whole day but I reckon

that the serum is perfect for the summer !

Maybe, for the winter, it would be

a bit too light. You need to apply

a cream after the serum

to really keep the hydratation into your skin

But that's it. The bottle is

very pretty you must say, very expensive looking

However, I paid a lot for this serum

One bottle cost 50 €

but I had it on sale, so I bought it cheaper and this is why

I decided to test it. But do I recommand to you ths product ?

Me, I say if you have oily skin

and you are in the market for a serum that can be absorbed quickly

because you don't want something that stays on your skin

I think this is a good purchase

but it's better for the summer

because it doesn't give enough hydratation for the winter

But using with a cream it's ok !

During the summer it's really enjoyable to use it !

And, yes, if you can buy it for cheaper

try it, it's Worth it

And there are really good ingrédients in the composition of the serum

very natural and good for the skin, very well chosen.

And finally, I think for the effects I saw

on my skin, I'll continue to use it

And I'll try to see if it's this product that reduced

my imperfections this past month

And if it's it, I think I'll repurchase it even if it's expensive

Those serums can last several months anyways

like 3-4 months, so it's quite profitable

So that's my opinion on the Huxley's serums

It's true that the brand is quite pricey in general

I find maybe a bit too much even for what it is

But I say, if you found the right product

appropriate for your skin and needs, it's really something to give it a go !

I'm going to put in the description box the site

where I purchased the serum if you're interested

The site often offers promotions

so it's way cheaper if you have like a -25% off

so the price tag will be much affordable

and really honest for a good serum like this one

Tell me in the comments if you've already tried those serums

or other products from the brand

Because I'm really interested to know your thoughts, so I can tried other Huxley products

Or tell me if you'd like to try them !

Otherwise, give the video a big thumbs up if you like reviews

so I know that I need to make those more often !

And don't hesitate to subscribe to my channel by hitting the red button ! And also don't forget to click on the belt

so you'll be notified for my next videos

faster and you'll see me more often !

Otherwise, I will see you very soon in my next video ! Bye !
