Hello! I'm Karina Formanova. Welcome to the Evrazhka Studio.
Today we will make a gorgeous bracelet made of hollow beads.
It happened that I started to do it at the end of May and finished in early September.
So don't be surprised by a sudden change in my manicure.
This is one of my favorite techniques, so let's get started quickly.
A list of all necessary materials and tools I will leave in the description below this video.
So, roll out a layer of clay with a thickness of 1,5-2 mm.
Place it on the inverted cutter, slightly press the contour and begin to gently shape the dome.
Push the clay with your fingers, and stack with a large ball.
Carefully designed contours make shape smooth and neat.
When the height of the dome will be enough, turn the cutter on the tile which you will bake, and cut out the shape.
If you have a hole in the center, correct dome with your fingers.
Make a hole with a fine needle at the base to get the air out.
Thus make the necessary amount of details.
Bake details for 25 minutes.
We got these shells as result.
Now remove the uneven bottom hem.
Grind the bottom of the lining with coarse emery paper abrasive 80 or 100 grid.
As a result, the edge of the shells should be smooth, without traces of the cutter.
Then with a drills of a different diameter make the holes.
Start with the largest drill, with a diameter of 3.2 mm.
Then I turn to the drill bit 2.4 mm,
1.6 mm,
1 mm
and complete the fine drill bit 0.5 mm.
Don't make the holes closer than 2 mm from the edge, otherwise it may affect the strength of the whole structure.
And it will look not very neat also.
Fringe remaining around the edges of the holes, you can manually clean it off by same drill
or a knife with a sharp tip.
Get rid of all the irregularities and burrs at this stage, afterwards it will be much harder to do.
For the base, we roll out the black clay layer with a thickness of 2 mm.
Put it on the tile where you will bake.
If there are small air bubbles, cut them with a knife,
smooth the joint with your fingers,
put a sheet of paper on top and smooth with a roller.
We need a flat and smooth surface.
Then cover the entire layer with a shiny powder.
Choose a color powder contrast to the color of the shells,
otherwise it will merge and the desired effect will be lost.
Apply gel to the edges of the part, and well press the detail to the seam to make it stick.
Then cut the clay along the contour with a knife.
Do the same with all the other details.
Bake it all together for 25 minutes.
After cooling, cut away the edges of black clay with a knife and smooth with a rough sandpaper.
All grinding process should be dry, NO WATER.
Otherwise, you can ruin the internal coating of powder.
In the end, you will get the rounded edge like this.
On a sheet of paper mark the height of the part and draw two parallel lines.
Then at a distance of 1 cm from each draw two more lines.
I pasted the paper with a tape, but actually this is not necessary.
Then roll out the black clay layer with a thickness of 1,5 mm.
Cut out the oval with the same cutter.
Turn it upside down and put it on a sheet of paper exactly on top lines.
Put two straight pins on a layer aligning it to the lines. These will be the holes for the cord.
Lubricate the opposite side of the part with gel and place it on a layer.
Press it well, so that the pins are fully deeped into the clay.
Detach the detail from the paper.
Round the edges with a rubber spatula.
Then cut away the exposed clay with a knife with a sharp tip.
Smooth the joints.
Apply a texture to the entire rear side of the part with a dotting tool.
I suggest to start with the butt end, holding detail for the top and bottom.
It will be easier and neater.
Definitely clean up this end, and make it smooth and neat.
Then wipe the item with a damp cloth to remove any black clay.
And only then go to the texture on the reverse side.
Do all the details the same way.
Put them on a napkin or a sheet of paper and bake for 30 minutes.
After cooling them down completely, take out the pins.
If the holes are too small, you can extend them with a thin drill.
I have a drill of 0.8 mm.
To assemble the bracelet I will use the silicone thread 0.6 mm thick.
And as delimiters I will use black glass beads.
Strung all beads on a thread and make 3 very tight knot, strongly pulling on the thread.
Do the same thing with the second thread.
Cut the excess, leaving the stems 3-4 mm.
Hide the tails inside parts and the bracelet is ready!
Beads beautifully and mysteriously shimmer from the inside,
and it seems that this has something to do with magic.
But we both know the secret already.
Friends, I introduce a new section called "Your work".
Be sure to do your own version hollow beads, posted a photo to Instagram with the hashtag #EvrazhkaDIY
and perhaps your photo will appear in the next master class.
And those Martian pebbles are heroes of today's video.
If you starve for master-classes and you want more, then support the channel financially on Patreon
and watch more videos.
Details are in the description and the link is on the screen.
Like, subscribe and comment are always welcome.
And that's it for today. Thank you all for watching and bye!
