Abandoned TANK FACTORY w/ RUNNING ELECTRICITY - Urbex Lost Places Austria - Duration: 10:46.

A variety of impressive production halls

is the trademark of today's abandoned site.

This former tank factory in the middle of Vienna

was left to rot around two years ago.

In line with this, some spots look really clean

and natural decay is hardly to be found here yet.

However, the place has been through a lot and is origin

to some curious stories.

Join today's exploration and get a unique look behind the curtain

of the Austrian armaments industry.

And be there with us when we make an unexpected discovery.

It's still day one of our urbex road trip in Austria.

A few hours ago, we explored a remarkable old-age residence for visually handicapped people.

And now we're already squashing through the fence of this massive factory property.

We were on the road together with the lads from Hidden Treasures.

They showed us the sick abandoned places in their area.

First stop was this former tank factory

which is located right next to an active power plant.

You don't need much imagination to picture how in these tremendous halls

armored fighting vehicles were built.

During our visit, we crossed through several of these huge rooms.

The Austrian arms manufacturer which operated here

is a daughter of the US defense company General Dynamics.

Next to classic tracked vehicles they also produced light-wheeled tanks.

However, war equipment from here wasn't allowed to be delivered into troubled regions.

Originally, there were around 450 people working on the site.

After the loss of some major contracts in the last few years

it came to multiple strings of layoffs.

Subsequently, instead of building tanks the factory was only used

for repairs and other maintenance services.

Besides that prototypes were developed here, too.

After all, the massive job cuts finally lead to the close-down of the factory.

According to General Dynamics this was the consequence

of the tough conditions at the European and international defense market.

The new manufacturing base is in Portugal now.

But the press had its own assumptions.

They guessed that the site wasn't transferred because of the low costs abroad

but that the real reason was another one.

The Portuguese military ordered over 250 light wheeled tanks before,

while there wasn't any procurement order in sight of the Austrian Armed Forces.

The sheer size of the halls and the area was impressive indeed,

but due to the fact that everything was emptied out there was not that much interesting stuff to find.

But suddenly we were surprised.

In the middle of an office building there was one floor with working electricity.

However, the rooms were empty.

Nevertheless it seems like someone is using this part of the area from time to time.

"Sick..."

"Well, so we can charge our batteries here."

"And even sleep here."

Some years ago the tank factory in Vienna

was starting point to an odd case of industrial espionage and bribery.

Against all odds the Slovenian government ordered tanks from Finland

instead of buying vehicles from Austria.

The background: Over a long time a former manager of the Austrian factory

built a conspirative network among the employees.

So from time to time envelopes with sensitive company documents

ended up in his driveway at home.

With the help of middlemen these information and a considerable sum of money

reached the Slovenian Prime Minister at that time.

The string pullers behind the plan were Finnish arms dealer

which wanted to get rid of their vehicles with the help of bribery.

As a result all the participants were sentenced to multi-year prison sentences.

In the long, branched underground passages of the compound

we made some strange discoveries.

At first we saw a red light in the distance.

We wanted to find out what it was.

A small box with the label "probe".

There were several of them, distributed all over the tunnel system.

But we have no clue what that might have been.

"rat bait"

Shortly after that the second discovery.

A booming.

"entrance to the ice cave"

Apparently there was an active generator right here.

"police sealed"

Behind a door which was supposed to be police sealed

we made the third discovery.

Several objects had been thrown around and were spread on the ground.

The reason:

Nearly a year ago there was an illegal rave party in this basement.

It is said that around 500 people were present that day.

After the police got report of that

around 60 policemen tried to end the noisy hustle and bustle.

But the situation escalated.

The entrance was blocked from the inside.

So the panicked crowd was locked in the partly unlighted underground.

When the police finally got into the basement via the side entrance

the officers were attacked with bottles, stones and even with acid.

Further leftovers we found in a hall on the surface

indicate that there was even another party

which probably took place only shortly before we were here.

This was the second episode of our new show.

The crew of Hidden Treasures showed us even more crazy abandoned places in Austria.

So we hope you're back next time.

And in the meantime: Visit us on Facebook and Instagram.

مشاهدة أغنية بيلي جين لمايكل جاكسون| BILLIE JEAN LIVE PERFORMANCE - Reaction - Duration: 7:26.

Hello I'm Lucy and today I'm going to do a Michael Jackson reaction video in arabic

A lot of people asked for this video after they knew that I'm Lebanese and I live in Lebanon

But it's really strange and different from the videos I usually do so let's see if it will go well

Because I'm used to talk in english in my reaction videos

I chose a Michael Jackson video which has 9 million views

I haven't watch this particular video but I guess that I watched the performance before

So let's start watching it

I think this video of Michael in 2001

yes in 2001

All people are screaming

Because they're seeing Michael

If I were in there, I would have been crying

The famous Billie Jean Glove that now costs millions of dollars

What are you trying to do now!? Make us more excited?

He's playing in our nerfs

Magic!

Michael has magic

He has the magic in his voice, in his movements, in his dancing, in everything

I know it's not real magic what happened in the video

Just saying

Here we start

This is the performance of the first moonwalk

Ohh so they're comparing the first and the last moonwalk performances

I think that this is the last moonwalk performance

I don't remember that he performed this song after 2001

In 2009 he rehearsed for the performance but he didn't perform it live

If this is wrong tell me in the comments

Oh they removed the live version of the song

I wanted to hear the original song in the performance

We can compare the two now and see which performance is the better

But we can't say that, both are amazing

Here Michael was in his 20s, maybe 22-23

And here Michael was 42 or 41

There's is 20 years in difference

And in the 2001 performance Michael wasn't performing for like 3 years

and here it was like his come back to the stage and singing

and he realized his new album

Informations! haha

Young or old Michael Jackson

I can say nothing but perfect

Just look at him dancing!

He was 41 years old and he's dancing better than teenagers

He still had the same power and the same presence on stage

no and he's even more powerful

Now the moonwalk!!

and now he'll turn

the first moonwalk

the last moonwalk

You see, the last moonwalk is a lot more smoother than the first

maybe because he practiced it for a long period if time

and he was performing for longer than 20 years so that's why

Even though he was sick but he was performing perfectly

They added the live version of the performance here

Look at the people

If I were there, I wouldn't scream

I would have fainted

Even Michael in this performace, I mean in the same day

They said that he cried

Because he saw that people still love him and remember him and memorized his songs

He started crying

I mean Michael!!

We will always love you

We're in 2017 and a lot of people still love you

Wish he's still here

The thing that I love about Michael is that

He's a very nice person and he likes helping others

Even is he's rich and famous

But he's not selfish and he doesn't only likes the fame

But in contrary

He wanted to help and to spread peace

and this is what made me admire him and watch more of his videos

I know I talked a lot through out the video but it's just because it's a reaction video

Sorry if I annoyed you :D

Now the video ended

If you liked it, please put thumbs up and subscribe to my channel

And if you want me to do another video, leave your suggestions in the comments

I'll read all the comments and try to respond

#7 Mary - Crossfit Girls Benchmark Workout Series | Rémi Workout - Duration: 3:39.

Hey there guys, welcome back! If you're new, I'm Rémi, helping you make fitness become a

lifestyle, one video at a time. Today we got MARY.

It's another CrossFit girls benchmark workout of course. It's an AMRAP of 20

minutes, consisting of 5 handstand push-ups, 10 single leg squats, 15

pull-ups. That´s one round, you just got to do as many rounds as possible within 20

minutes. The amount of rounds you do will be your score. Let's go guys!

Alright that was Mary, 20 minutes, AMRAP. My score was 7 rounds and 2 reps

of pistol squats (or single leg squats). Not the best score, I'm not totally happy

with it and this is part of the reason why I

didn't get all the rounds I expected I would have made. But it´s my own fault,

next time I'll make sure to always file down the skin so it's nice

soft, so the dry hard skin doesn't just get ripped off and hence getting open.

All right so now it's your turn. If you're new remember to hit the

subscribe button and the bell and I will see you next time.

See you guys!

INKTOBER & DRAWLLOWEEN DRAWING CHALLENGE - How to Get Started - Duration: 6:03.

oh do you guys like my ghost impression I know it's probably super lame but it

is October October's coming up which is why I'm kind of doing a ghost impression

I probably would whatever but yeah anyways hey guys I am bunny welcome back

to my channel this video we're gonna talk about inktober and drawlloween now

October is fast approaching as I'm looking outside my window right now the

leaves are changing colors through a beautiful red beautiful orange and it

gives me a lot of inspiration I love October for it simple fact of it

being fall and I also like it because it's my birthday month which means I get

new art supplies and I get to kind of splurge on certain things at the art

store so quite excited about that and also the other reason why is because

October is a super creative month for artists all across social media

platforms now the reason why is because there's a couple challenges kind of

circulating around Instagram and other social media platforms but I think the

most popular one is on Instagram and these challenges are things like

inktober which I'm sure you guys are familiar with and also drawlloween which

I only heard about yesterday in the livestream so shout out to those who

would let me know I think it was Eleonora one of my subscribers she let

me know that actually yeah Halloween is a thing and I was like what that is

really cool so I'm going to be explaining both challenges I'm going to

be explaining what I'm going to be using and I'm gonna provide all of the links

down below in my video description on where you guys can get information

regarding these challenges so let's start first with the inktober challenge

I'm sure you guys are familiar with this challenge it is a very popular challenge

over the last few years on Instagram it has been created by mr. Jake Parker I'm

going to be providing all of the links down below in the video description

basically the rules goes as follows number 1 you want to make a drawing

with ink of course you can sketch first and then add the ink afterwards this is

really to kind of improve your inking style I know I need a lot of help with

that so I'm really looking forward to this bit once you you're done inking

you're done drawing your your little drawing you want to post it online on

either Instagram I think it's also on Twitter or Facebook basically social

media but Instagram is the big social media platform for this and you want to

use the hashtag #inktober or #inktober2017

basically you do this on my daily basis now it's really up to you how you want

to post your art you can post it on a daily basis on Instagram or you can post

it once a week and show all of the images in consecutive order come it's

really up to you but the key here is consistency persistence and discipline

you really want to keep yourself discipline and you want to commit to

getting this challenge done now for myself I'm going to be using some ink

pens I will be using my Faber Castell PITT artist pen of course the second

material that I'm going to be using is actually Windsor and Newton Indian ink

so I'm gonna go to the art store this upcoming week and I'm gonna go ahead and

buy a little bottle of ink and basically I'm planning on using my watercolor

brushes and I'm going to be painting with the ink as an outline now this is a

totally new technique that I've never used before so I'm quite I'm quite

excited to try it out and see how it's going to look like it's really up to you

how you guys wanted to use it there's all kinds of ink pens out there just go

out to the art store or go to your local office store and get yourself some ink

pens and just give it a go now this year I'm combining October with

drawlloween because Drawlloween is a pretty cool thing and it's something

that's new that I've never heard of before so the challenge might be a

little bit new in itself but probably not it's probably just because I'm a

newbie and I just I just never paid attention to this before now if you go

onto Instagram there's going to be a lot of Drawlloween calendars floating around

and basically it's the same kind of concept as inktober where you have to

draw a daily image every single day however with drawlloween there's a

specific theme for each day for example the first theme for the October 1st

could be draw a zombie for example the second one could be draw a werewolf now

it's really up to you which calendars you want to go for if you go on

Instagram you just search for hashtag drawlloween you're gonna come up with a

couple different concepts is there a couple different calendars there are

some artists such as mab graves which I follow and you guys should too because

she's an amazing artist she has her own drawing Club happening and there's

basically a theme for every single day there is another calendar from the

Instagram user called drawlloween literally just drawlloween

and they have their own calendar and this is actually the calendar that I'm

going to follow basically every single day there's a new theme and I'm going to

be combining this with Inktober so I hope it's gonna be fun

I think it will I'm looking forward to it a lot so just to basically recap I

will be drawing the themes from drawlloween with the concept of inktober

now I'm not gonna be just doing black and white images with just ink that's it

I'm going to be adding a bit of watercolor I'll be adding a bit of Copic

markers as well but I will be using ink as a primary material for my drawings so

I hope that really explains a lot of it and I hope you guys are excited and I

really sincerely hope that you guys are taking the challenge as well you guys

are doing the challenge and they're gonna post all of your stuff on

Instagram or Twitter or Facebook but I think Instagram is the best bet I just

think it's a great way to take advantage of the fact that you are connecting with

the community and you get to see other artists and it's really kind of a boost

of creativity which is what I find really exciting so yeah as always I hope

you like this video give it a big thumbs up and don't forget to subscribe and

follow my social media accounts that you see down below in the video description

and I will see you guys very soon my next video is on Tuesday and I'm going

to be announcing the giveaway winner from the Cricut bright pad I'm so

excited to do that so yeah and apart from that I hope you guys have a

fantastic rest of September and I really hope you guys partake in this challenge

so I can't wait to see what you guys are up to and what you guys will do with it

so until next time stay awesome keep drawing and have a wonderful wonderful

rest of the weekend

Gastroparesis Q&A | Sophie - Duration: 10:55.

what.... [burps]

pardon me, it was not me,

it was, gastroparesis,

it was the wind coming back up to say hello, that's not a song...

[intro music]

Well hello everybody and welcome back to my channel

or if you're new hello welcome to my channel, my name is Sophie.

Today we are talking about Gastroparesis.

What is Gastroparesis I hear some of you say?

Well I mean the real question is why haven't you

watched this video from my channel?

No, I'm just kidding, if you don't know what Gastroparesis is be sure to pause this

video right now, go watch my video,

learn about Gastroparesis and then come on over back.

So having been diagnosed with Gastroparesis for 6 or 7 years

I think it is now, I still find myself having questions and

searching online on youtube on blog posts for answers.

I figured I would sit down and answer some questions that I received

or I have ever wondered and you know answer the ones that I feel I

have enough knowledge about and enough experience about

so that you guys never feel alone and you have

a place to come when you need some answers.

So let's crack on with the questions.

Also before we get into the questions, I just want to remind you or even let you

know if you don't know, there are so many people and support groups

and even charities (Gift UK, just saying) that are there to support you and help you

and answer your questions and just be someone who can truly understand what you're going

through.

So I will leave the link to any information that I know of or that I use,

but honestly just go on Facebook and type in

Gastroparesis support group and you will find a ton.

Ok so the first question is, as part of my dad's support system how best

can we support him on his worst days?

I know this isn't the answer that you want to hear,

but honestly there's really not that much you can do to make it feel better.

um..

There's no cream or plaster that you can put on

and you know you feel you know you feel yourself again.

However i know i can be a bit of a moody ***** when I'm having a really really really bad

day, so from your point of you view,

so don't take anything he may say or do personally or to hear and get upset

because he probably doesn't mean it and it's just his emotions all kind of spiralling

and going crazy but other than that, honestly i just find you know, being with

someone or being distracted helps.

I do find distraction to be one of the best medicines so you know just sit with him, watch

a movie, chat, you know talk about random stuff,

try and make him laugh, just being there helps more than you'll

ever know because the feeling you get when people suddenly

disappear and leave you because you're not feeling

well and you have this condition is such a horrible

feeling so just having you there and seeing you know,

you're by his side is just it helps than than than you realize honestly.

Question number 2, what was it like having a feeding tube?

It really isn't as bad as it may seem.

I have had both a nj tube and a pegj tube and

that is a nasal jejunal tube and the pegj goes through your stomach wall and

although I had quite a lot of problems with the pegj tube,

that was more down to my EDS and the healing of my skin,

rather than the tube and the way the tube works itself if that makes sense.

To me they are life savers and they took pressure off of me to have to eat

because I was getting the nutrients I needed so i could just eat small bits here and

there for flavor and to feel normal I guess or just use my jaw muscles so they don't

tighten up but it took that pressure off, so I didn't feel oh I have to eat,

now I'm going to get a lot of pain and I'm gong to have a lot of suffering

and it took away that kind of fear and hate of

food in a way and I mean plus who can say they can sleep

and eat all at the same time or that it is totally acceptable to go to

the toilet whilst eating I mean you can't do that.

I mean I feel like this is a topic that could be like a while video,

so I don't know if you want me to do like a whole video

on my experiences of tube feeing and my kind of tips and tricks

and stuff like that if you do be sure to let me know in the comments below.

Ok next up do you have a safe option food? and I will be 100% honest with you and say

no.

i used to but now I kind of, I can eat something one day and be relatively

ok and then I'll have it the next day and be

less than ok..

I have things that I know will always cause me more pain like pasta

I know to stay clear of unless I am willing to not be able to move for a long time

and get very bloated and i know red meats tend to cause more pain.

so, no,

certain foods tend to cause more pain but i don't have like a safe option go-to meal

that isn't going to hurt so yeah… sadly gastroparesis is very unpredictable

so you may be ok one day but you might not the next day

but then I also know people that do have safe option foods,

so I mean everyone's different, but for me personally, I don't have one

anymore, but I used to.

potatoe and tuna used to be a really good one.

Has the gastric pace-maker helped?

It has helped with my nausea, i don't spend half my life over a toilet bowl any more.

It hasn't helped the pain, however, we were told going into it it is primarily

for sickness.

Would i get it again knowing what i know now about it?

yes.

I do still take anti-sickness medication, its not you know a magic cure.

it helps to a degree.

I do wonder if it has sped up you know, emptying system

because I haven't had an emptying test in a while

so I do wonder if it has you know sped things up down there.

Ok so this is kind of a 2 in 1 question the question is,

how do you deal with family and friends meals out and with the being excluded from things?

I feel like this is maybe a topic for a separate video

because this is something that everyone with gasroparesis will deal with

and it is not easy.

um…

I'm not even gonna sugar coat it, it is hard and even now I sometimes find it

hard especially if I'm going through a bad phase.

it isn't easy being isolated and excluded from things

and when you do go to a restaurant or you get asked to,

you kind of feel very awkward and i don't really ever go out to eat at restaurants.

it is very very rare hat you will ever see me in a restaurant.

Take aways will be like your best friend, so find someone who is willing to just chill

at home, in your jimmies with a take-away

and help you deal with the consequences after basically.

But like no it isn't easy and there is no easy way to deal with that

because being isolated and excluded from things isn't easy.

Because people will start to stop asking you or you're saying no so many times they just

won't bother and it's hard but in a way you also find

out who your real friends are.

The ones willing to change things and adapt things

and do things maybe a little bit differently, they're the ones that you want anyway is

how i try and look at it.

What has gastroparesis taught you?

It has taught me a lot of things but probably the main two would be,

to appreciate the things we do have in life, so especially like the basic things that we

just take for granted that help us survive like food,

water, a bed to sleep on,

like all of these things we take for granted and I did it before i would just eat and eat

and eat and didn't even think twice about it

or think to be grateful for it I just did it like it was an every day thing.

no consequences, wasn't grateful for it or appreciative of

it and yeah I've just learnt to really appreciate

the things in life particularly the basic things that we have

every single day.

And the second thing would be, it also taught me who my real friends are

and who the people are that I really want in my life

and who will stick by me no matter what and yeah I think those are probably the main

two things.

Ok I could go on answering questions for literally ages,

however I'm pretty sure y'all probably have things

that you would like to do or need to do that don't include watching me.

So I hope this video helped answer even maybe one of your questions,

if you do have anymore questions about gastroparesis, be it from a sufferer or someone who is around

a sufferer, be sure to let me know in the comments below

and maybe I will do a part 2 of this video because,

I know for me watching videos of other people and their experiences with things, helped

me a lot more than just reading it on medical websites and

stuff.

If you did like this video or found it helpful, be sure to give it a massive thumbs up

and if you have just been diagnosed with gastroparesis or you know someone who just has,

remember you are not alone, you are in this together

and you now have a new family to hug… weird?

Yeah.

And if you're not already I would love for you to hit that subscribe button,

it would mean so much to me and I would be very very grateful

and appreciative if you did.

I will also leave the link to my last video in the description box below

in case you wanna go check that one out which i think you do.

and until next time, keep watching,

stay strong and stay safe,

bye guys!

But to me actually it feels like even more of an….

I Survived The Holocaust Twin Experiments - Duration: 14:48.

- I was born in 1934,

one of a pair of twins.

Miriam and I were the third

and fourth children in the family.

We lived in a very small village

in Transylvania, Romania.

(haunting music)

We got down from the cattle car.

People were selected to live or to die.

People crying, pushing, shoving,

dogs barking, trying to make some sense of that place,

and I actually turned around

in trying to figure out what is the place?

Never seen a place like that before.

And as I turned around, I realized

that my father and my two older sisters were gone.

Never saw them again.

We were holding onto Mother for dear life.

A Nazi was running in the middle of that selection platform,

yelling in German, "Twins, twins."

He noticed us and demanded to know if we were twins.

And my mother asked, "Is that good?"

And the Nazi said, "Yes."

My mother said yes.

At that moment, another Nazi came,

pulled my mother to the right,

we were pulled to the left,

we were crying, she was crying.

And all I ever remember is seeing my mother's arms

stretched out in despair as she was pulled away.

I never even said goodbye to her,

but I did not understand

that this would be the last time that we would see her,

and all that took 30 minutes from the time

we got down from the cattle car

and my whole family was gone.

Only Miriam and I were left, holding hands and crying.

We were Mengele twins, which we found out

later on what that meant.

(haunting music)

Mengele would count us every morning.

And he wanted to know how many guinea pigs he had each day.

I was used in two types of experiments.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday, they would put me

naked in a room with my twin sister

and many other twins, up to eight hours a day.

They would measure every part of my body,

compare it to my twin sister, and then compare it to charts.

On alternate days, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday,

they would take us to a blood lab,

they would tie both of my arms to restrict the blood flow,

take a lot of blood from my left arm,

and give me a minimum of five injections

in the right arm.

The content of those injections,

we didn't know then, nor do we know today.

After one of those injections,

I became very ill with a very high fever.

My legs and arms were swollen and very painful.

I was trembling as the August sun was burning my skin.

And I had huge red spots covering my body.

The next visit to the blood lab,

they didn't tie my arms.

Instead of that, measure my fever.

And I was immediately taken to the hospital.

The hospital was another barrack,

but it was filled with people

who looked to me more dead than alive.

Next morning, Mengele came in with four other doctors.

Never, ever examined me, looked at my fever chart,

and then he declared, "Too bad.

"She's so young.

"She has only two weeks to live."

For the following two weeks, I have only one clear memory.

Crawling on the barrack floor,

because I no longer could walk.

And crawling to reach a faucet with water

at the other end of the barrack,

and as I was crawling, I would fade out,

in and out of consciousness, telling myself I must survive,

I must survive.

After two weeks, my fever broke.

And I felt immediately a lot stronger.

It took me another three weeks

before my fever charts showed normal.

Miriam ...

When I got back, she was sitting on the bed,

staring into space.

When I ask her, "What happened to you?"

she said, "I cannot talk about it.

"I will not talk about it."

And we didn't talk about Auschwitz until 1985.

(melancholy music)

When I ask her in 1985, "Miriam, do you remember

"when I was taken to the hospital?"

she said yes.

I said, "What happened to you while I was in the hospital?"

She said, "I was under Nazi doctor supervision

"24 hours a day."

It was the same two weeks that Mengele said I would die.

So I said to her, "What happened to you

"after the two weeks were up?"

She said she was taken back to the labs,

injected with many injections

that made her feel very sick.

As we found out years later,

when she grew up, got married in Israel,

expected her first child,

she developed severe kidney infections

that did not respond to any antibiotic.

Second pregnancy in '63,

the infection got so bad

that the Israeli doctor studied her,

and they found out that Miriam's kidneys

never grew larger than the size of a 10-year-old child's.

So I begged Miriam not to have any more children,

because every pregnancy was a life crisis.

But she had a third child,

and after the third child was born,

her kidneys deteriorated, started to deteriorate,

and by 1987, they failed.

At which time I donated my left kidney.

I had two kidneys and one sister,

so it was an easy choice.

But a year later, she developed

cancerous polyps in the bladder.

The doctors kept asking me to find our Auschwitz files.

We never found our files.

We never found out what was injected into our bodies,

and Miriam died June 6, 1993.

Months after Miriam died, I received a telephone call

from a professor at Boston,

who said he heard me speak and he would like me

to go to Boston and speak.

And when I came there, it would be nice

if I could bring a Nazi doctor.

I was stunned at such a question,

and then I thought about it,

I remembered that the last project

that Miriam and I worked together

before she died was 1992.

It was a documentary done by a German television

about the Mengele twins, and in that documentary,

there was a Nazi doctor from Auschwitz.

And I figured if he was alive in '92,

he might be alive in '93.

So I got his telephone number, I called him

and invited him to Boston.

But he told me he was not willing to go to Boston.

But he was willing to meet with me at his house in Germany.

(dramatic music)

And I didn't plan to ask him any of these questions.

Suddenly, I am asking him, "You were in Auschwitz.

"Did you ever walk by a gas chamber?

"Did you ever go inside the gas chamber?

"Do you know how the gas chamber operated?"

He said, "Mm-hm, mm-hm."

He said, "This is the nightmare

"that I live with every single day of my life."

And went on describing the operation of the gas chamber.

He was stationed outside, looking through a peephole

while the gas was coming down and people were dying.

When everybody was dead, and nobody moved,

he knew that they were dead,

and he signed one death certificate.

No names, just the number of people that were murdered.

And I ask him to go with me to Auschwitz in 1995,

when we would observe 50 years

since the liberation of the camp.

Because I wanted him to sign a document,

just what he told me, but I wanted it signed

at the ruins of the gas chamber in Auschwitz.

And he agreed immediately.

I will have an original document

signed by a Nazi.

And if I ever met a revisionist

who said the Holocaust didn't happen,

I could take that document and shove it in their face.

I wanted to thank this Nazi doctor

for his willingness to document the gas chamber operation.

I didn't know how to thank a Nazi.

I didn't tell anybody about it,

because even to me, it sounded strange.

I didn't want anybody to change my mind.

After 10 months, one morning I woke up.

And the following simple idea popped into my head.

How about a letter of forgiveness

from me to Dr. Munch?

I knew immediately that he would like it,

and that was a meaningful gift.

A Auschwitz survivor gives him a letter of forgiveness,

to a Nazi doctor.

But what I discovered for myself was life-changing.

I discovered that I had the power to forgive.

No one could give me that power,

no one could take it away.

It was all mine to use in any way I wished.

And that became an interesting thing,

because as a victim of almost 50 years,

I never thought that I had any power over my life.

Now I began writing a letter,

and I didn't know how to write a letter of forgiveness.

And it took me four months to write it.

And then I thought somebody might read it,

and my diction in English is good,

my spelling is not.

So I wanted my former English professor

to correct my spelling, so I called her.

We met three times.

And third time, she said to me, "Now, Eva, very nice.

"You forgive this Dr. Munch.

"Your problem is not with Dr. Munch.

"Your problem is with Dr. Mengele."

I was not quite ready to forgive Mengele.

She said to me, "Okay.

"I have been meeting with you, correcting your letters.

"Now I want you to do me a favor.

"When you go home tonight, pretend

"that Mengele is in the room,

"and you are telling him that you forgive him.

"'Cause I want to find out how would it make you feel

"if you could do that."

Interesting idea, I thought.

And when I got home, actually, I did something else.

I picked up a dictionary and wrote down 20 nasty words,

which I read clear and loud

to that make-believe Mengele in the room.

And at the end I said, "In spite of all that,

"I forgive you."

Made me feel very good.

That I, the little guinea pig of 50 years,

even had the power

over the Angel of Death of Auschwitz.

So that is the way we arrived in Auschwitz.

Dr. Munch came with his son, daughter, and granddaughter.

I took my son and my daughter.

I read my declaration of amnesty,

which is a very good little document.

And I signed it.

Dr. Munch signed his document.

I felt free, free from Auschwitz,

free from Mengele.

So now that I have forgiven him,

I knew that most of the survivors

denounced me, and they denounce me today also.

But what is my forgiveness?

I like it.

It is an act of self-healing,

self-liberation, self-empowerment.

All victims all hurt,

feel hopeless, feel helpless, feel powerless.

I want everybody to remember

that we cannot change what happened.

That is the tragic part.

But we can change how we relate to it.

Chase Your Legend - Crown | Worlds 2017 - Duration: 3:38.

Resilience

Everyone did predict SKT

which I think is expected

because we don't really know

what to expect from this Samsung team.

But now, Samsung is one win away

from being a world champion.

SK Telecom have overcome every challenge.

They are the undisputed

best team in the world!

Crown looks broken.

Last player to leave the stage

head hanging low.

After Worlds, I was mentally drained.

My mind was blank and I felt empty.

I wasn't sleeping, I was barely eating

and my health declined.

I thought if I had played Orianna and Syndra better during Worlds

maybe the results would've been different.

I just kept asking myself, "Where am I lacking?"

In order to reach peak performance

One has to work incredibly hard.

However, all players work hard.

So in order to go beyond that,

I think you need to reach a level of enlightenment.

Only the person who reaches the top understands that.

So, it's my task to achieve that.

These Samsung players, right?

As their journey ended here tonight with a loss

being, you know, runners-up at the World Championship

I mean, we have to remember that this is a ragtag team

put together and has only gotten better with time.

Losing,

especially on the Worlds stage with all eyes on you may feel bad

but I try not to focus on the negative.

Instead, I try to focus on how sweet victory will feel

when I finally achieve it

And the journey it took to get there.

While most people are sleeping

I'm up late at night practicing

studying my opponents

learning everything I can about the game.

Sometimes I don't even want to go to bed

until I've gotten that victory.

Even though you've lost several games in a row

that feeling of not wanting to give up

I think that feeling is something we can all empathize with.

The goal for this year is obviously

winning the World Championship.

None other than Crown!

Triple kill!

If I were to win

I'd get a sense of accomplishment for achieving

all the goals I've set throughout my life.

It would probably be the best feeling.
