IN AFGHANISTAN

BY COLLECTIVE EVOLUTION

The Anti-Media � The Hague, Netherlands � A prosecutor for the International Criminal

Court (ICC) is pursuing a war crimes investigation against the United States for its conduct

in Afghanistan following the 9/11 terror attacks.

Chief prosecutor Fatou Bensouda said last year that the U.S. military and CIA could

be guilty of war crimes for its torture of detainees in Afghanistan between 2003 and

2014.

The Guardian reported that �Bensouda�s report last year said the alleged US war crimes

�were not the abuses of a few isolated individuals.

Rather, they appear to have been committed as part of approved interrogation techniques

in an attempt to extract �actionable intelligence� from detainees.� Now, she is seeking approval

from the court to move forward.

According to the Guardian: �Her request comes after an unusually long

preliminary process, which has dragged on for 10 years because of a lack of capacity

at the court as well as lobbying from the Afghan government, which tried to block it.

The Afghan president, Ashraf Ghani, met with Bensouda as late as September during the UN

general assembly.�

Bensouda also highlighted potential war crimes by the Taliban and the Afghan government,

noting that overall, �10,000 civilians were said to have been killed from 2007 to 2011

alone,� the Independentnoted.

The Afghan government has resisted investigations, as has the U.S.

Last year a State Department official said it was �unwarranted� and �unjustified.�

Nevertheless, Bensouda intends to investigate �crimes against humanity and war crimes

such as murder, imprisonment, targeting humanitarian workers, use of child soldiers and carrying

out executions without sentencing from the formal legal system,� the Guardian summarized.

Until 2016, the ICC had only investigated crimes in Africa, drawing criticism that it

harbored a pro-western bias.

It has since launched investigations in other parts of the world, including Iraq, Cambodia,

Greece, Colombia, and Ukraine.

The United States is not a member of the court; during George Bush�s presidency, he declined

to participate, claiming the U.S. could be unfairly attacked for political reasons.

Though the U.S. is not a member, its officials could still be liable if found guilty because

the crimes were committed in Afghanistan, which is a member.

The Guardian reported:

�The next step is for a pre-trial chamber of judges to consider the prosecutor�s request,

which human rights observers in Kabul believe they will.�

Human Rights Watch said:

�Having documented egregious crimes in Afghanistan that have gone unpunished over many years,

we hope this step will open a path to justice for countless victims there.�

Given the court�s previous aversion to prosecuting the U.S. for war crimes, it remains unlikely

there will be any convictions.

The Kuala Lumpur War Crimes Commission, launched as an alternative to the Hague-based ICC,

previously found George Bush and Tony Blair guilty of �crimes against peace� during

the Iraq War, but both men walk free.

The U.S. has long been accused of war crimes, including potential crimes in drone warfare,

as well as during the Vietnam War.

Katherine Gallagher, a senior lawyer at the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) in

New York, was pleased with the ICC�s move to potentially hold U.S. nationals accountable,

especially in light of President Trump�s decision to increase troop levels (similar

to the Obama administration).

�This long overdue message that no one is above the law is particularly important now,

as the Trump administration ramps up military machinations in Afghanistan and embraces the

endless war with no plan in sight,� she said.

According to Bensouda:

�For decades, the people of Afghanistan have endured the scourge of armed conflict.

Following a meticulous preliminary examination of the situation, I have come to the conclusion

that all legal criteria required under the [ICC�s] Rome statute to commence an investigation

have been met.�

She also said:

�In accordance with the office�s policy and practice, the ultimate focus will be upon

those most responsible for the most serious crimes allegedly committed in connection with

the situation in Afghanistan.�

Finally I'm back with a new video (with my face on it xD)

but I'm sorry because I'm really sick

Probably I also have a bit of fever, but I have to record this video now! now or never xD

Today I'm gonna be showing you guys the things that I've bought at Lucca Comics

my right arm ( what a fun thing fuuu)

but before start this video I wanna thank all those who have told me something sweet for my broken elbow

I appreciated all the messages from instagram and facebook! and also the people that I've seen irl at Lucca Comics

you were so sweet and don't worry because now I feel a bit better

Lucca has been a real challenge for me

I had to keep all the bags with my left hand

to leave the other arm free and not stressed. I couldn't use my right hand

ahhh heeelp

in the middle of the morning my elbow was killing me

but after a little break for lunch, we rested a littile bit and then it went much better and my elbow didn't hurt so much at the end of the day

if you don't know what I am talking about:

almost a month ago I broke my elbow.

soo yes, that's why I haven't posted any video for so long

I was unable to do a video...or anything at all

I tried to do something for Halloween..

omg this thing happened just before Halloween hghgh I had so many things planned for Halloween ..

I wanted to record a short spooky video

with horror in it but... my elbow ruined everything

I must tell the truth

I was expecting to find more yuri on ice stuff

it's not that they were not there.. I've found something..

but not the things I wanted to buy grrr

I haven't seen all the stands, we go inside some stand but we haven't seen that much so the fault is mine but

because when I was at home, at the end of the day

I've seen people posting on instagram all the yoi stuff I wanted to buy.. and they where at the con the same day I was there, at the Con so..wtff

nearly everything here is related to Sailor Moon

the bandai stand at Lucca was beautiful

and all the stuff there were so cheap

outside the Bandai stand all the Sailor Moon Merchandise were so expencive while inside their stand the stuff was really cheaper

wow! better buy stuff inside the official store

advise for the future: buy stuff at Bandai Store

first of all: manga!

I bought

Boruto, sso cool! Finally now I have the manga of the little precious children

I love Naruto so much

It's my favorite Anime/Manga ever

I wanted to buy also the manga that talks about the next generation of Naruto

I'm watching the anime now

naruto feels are always with me , even if the anime and manga is now finished

so now that there's Boruto I'm totally on it

with Boruto I can continue fangirling over my favorite characters

ninja feels never end! and plus it's really a nice manga

even if a lot of fan are against Boruto and they say "boruto is just a thing for do other money ect..ect.."

but as a super fan of Naruto I can't be happier to have something related to my favorite anime

something related to Naruto? hha! I'll be there!

I'll watch it because I love that anime, that's it!

find the new version of Loki. but I was wrong because all stands had hundreds of them

at a reasonable price

I did not take advantage of the fact that it's a new version

Agape is completely white (almost all white)

at the end of the Con the costume was clean

the costume at the end of the day didn't even have a stain

I care about that costume all day

but.. at the very end

the waitress poured coffee on me, on my pants..on my white pants

white PANTS

I was so mad

but it wasn't only coffee, I was paying

we were about to leave when

all the coffee and residues of the coffee machine over my white pants

this is just a not really fun fact happened that day

maybe you'll find it funny but..

try to clean all the stains hasn't been funny at all

labor of love it's a story you'll see only on kctv5 I do feel that the

magazine it's like giving birth four times a year you know I feel like the

labor process is something that we really care about every single page

every single story every single photograph is something that we truly

care about we want it to feel authentic we want it to speak to people we don't

want it to feel flat so I think with the stories I think with the photography you

know every time a new edition comes out it's literally like a new baby we cannot

wait and every time a new one comes out it's our new favorite so I just feel

like it never gets old and I mean we're really new at this but one thing that

I've loved it's just the process of creating these magazines it's really

from the heart our team pours everything into these

this isn't something that we kind of do a little bit on the side we give a

hundred percent of this thing and I feel like once it comes out I feel that and

it's something that I really I love I think once we see the magazine I think

you really you can tell that there's a motion to it there's heart it's not just

hey let's get stuff printed let's get it out there you know the deadlines are

really tight on these magazines but that's something that we pour everything

into it's a priority here the holiday edition of Magnolia journal will be

available on newsstands next Tuesday
