Waching daily Nov 2 2017

today I'm gonna give you guys five tips about how entrepreneurs can get the most

out of a network like LinkedIn let's talk about it hey guys I am Dana Blouin

and I am back with another entrepreneur vlog for you guys and today we are

talking about how you can make the most out of a network like LinkedIn and I'm

gonna give you guys five tips that you can use to really leverage that platform

for your own benefit as an entrepreneur before we get right into it though guys

if you're new here go ahead and click that subscribe button I put out new

videos like this a few times a week with tons of business and entrepreneur

content don't forget to click that Bell icon and join the notification squad so

you don't miss any videos now let's get right into the video guys my first tip

for you guys is to get graphic I see so many profiles that have a very generic

profile picture and they don't even change the default cover art that

LinkedIn gives them in their profile it just looks bland it looks like everyone

else use that opportunity use that profile picture use that background art

to express who you are tell the people who are looking at your profile a little

something about you that they wouldn't otherwise know that's gonna allow you to

stand out from the crowd just that bit more I get connection requests all the

time or I get recruiters contacting me on LinkedIn and all of their profiles

look so bland use the opportunity to stand out let that visual aspect of it

that graphic aspect of it held a bit of your story as an entrepreneur as a brand

and communicate that to me through that my second tip for you guys is to be

descriptive you have a nice little piece of digital real estate at the top of

your LinkedIn profile to put a description about yourself what you do

what you're passionate about you see so many people on there I'm a motivated and

passion leader and manager and went to my MBA here you know that that's generic

stuff that people are gonna put on their resume tell me what it is that you're

actually passionate about if it's business what your product is why are

you an entrepreneur communicate that part of your story there and don't put

like seven paragraphs I see some people have this huge description on their

profile and I promise you no one is reading it one or two sentences keep it

short keep it brief and make sure that it tells your story just a little bit

more you know that combined with your profile

picture and your background art is gonna start to pull people in my third tip you

guys is to keep SEO in mind because LinkedIn is a platform and just like

YouTube or Facebook you can search you can do the same thing on LinkedIn so

make sure that you're using terms in your LinkedIn profile that are gonna

help people find you find what you do and you want the right people finding

you so keep that in mind don't go get in buzzword happy and put crazy amounts of

buzzwords and SEO terms all over your profile you know no one's gonna want to

read that make sure what you're writing makes sense in your description of your

jobs and what your education is and what your experience is use terms use

keywords that are gonna make you more searchable and gonna help the right

people find you so that you can expand your network as an entrepreneur my

fourth tip for you guys is to start to curate an audience on LinkedIn LinkedIn

has a ton of people on it and they're all professionals and there's gonna be

entrepreneurs investors people who are potential advisors to you so start to

curate that audience get the people on your platform connect with the people

who you want to put your information in front of who you want to be aware of

what you do and what you're doing as a business start to put the time in and

curate that audience start with the people you know like anything you know

every time you get a business card at a networking event go and look them up on

LinkedIn nine times out of ten they are gonna have a profile there connect with

them in that way cuz this is where you can share very business forward

information and you can start to develop yourself as a thought leader or as an

expert in your field and this is a platform where people are gonna see that

from you that brings me right into the fifth tip

guys and that is to publish write write write put content out there LinkedIn has

become a great publishing tool for business people and entrepreneurs it's

gone through a lot of transformations over the years but it really has become

a place for people to share content specific to industries and business and

get it in front of an audience that really wants to engage with it and I

think if you do that if you focus on curating your audience SEO in your

profile make it very descriptive and graphic so it grabs people's attention

all of that will build up to creating a profile where your publishing where your

your writing can gain an audience and gain traction

it's an other social work just like any other just like

Facebook like YouTube it takes time and it takes consistency you can't just put

out one piece a year and expect people to know who you are you have to be

publishing content consistently and content that people want to share on and

off the network so keep that in mind and that's all I have for you guys today

five tips for LinkedIn go out there jump on that platform and start to make the

most of it start to use that as an entrepreneur to grow your network and

gain traction strengthen your personal brand through that platform it's a great

tool and I see a lot of entrepreneurs not utilizing it to their full extent so

go and put the work in and get LinkedIn to work for you as always guys if you

like this feel free to go ahead and like comment and share this content put it

out there help other entrepreneurs learn how to leverage LinkedIn for their own

benefit and guys don't forget to subscribe join the community of

entrepreneurs and business people here on the channel and click that Bell icon

join the notification squad you don't want to miss any of these videos until

next time keep taking action and make your ideas reality

November Energy Reading - Duration: 4:14.

November Energy Reading.

by Nicole Frolick,

November Energy Reading In Peace I walk the path of the Active Heart

Before we kick off November with my monthly energy reading, I thought Id share with

you some thoughts about a viewers concern on accuracy of using oracle cards.

Last month, I received a question from a viewer about how accurate oracle cards can be when

providing answers to our questions and that surely if I picked the cards again, I would

get different cards.

This is a great question and I used to believe the same thing.

That is until I worked more consistently with cards and would get the same card come out

again on multiple occasions.

There are some steps you can take to increase your accuracy when working with such tools.

And I do highlight the word tools as that is what oracle cards are.

They are not to replace our highest guidance from our Higher Self but instead to assist

our guidance from Higher Self in a fun and creative way.

One of the steps I take before all of my readings is center myself.

I usually do some deep breathing or a short meditation.

I then ask for connection to my Higher Self only to come through.

Another step I have taken (which everyone should do when working with oracle cards)

is cleansing and clearly the energy of my deck and then charging the deck with my own

energy.

I bless the deck and ask only for guidance that will serve my highest good and the highest

good of all those who I am reading for.

If you notice, certain cards keep coming up in my energy readings.

It happened again for November.

This is another sign of accuracy that some of the energies/themes we are working with

are not yet completed.

For my September reading, I had actually pulled a card before I filmed the video I now have

up on my site.

The problem happened when I realized my mic wasnt plugged in correctly and the sound

was awful.

I was upset because I had gone through a complete reading before I realized this.

So I started over and chose again.

Guess what happened?

I chose the exact same card.

These are little confirmations for me that something higher is guiding this reading than

just dumb luck and coincidence.

This is also not the first time it has happened to me.

So I hope that helps to shed some light on that question as I completely understand the

concern about accuracy!

In fact I was so happy I received that question because we should all be questioning everything

we hear and read.

Practicing good discernment is vital especially at times like now.

So thank you for that!

Now to November

This months reading is a beautiful continuation of the energies from October.

Last month, was all about becoming the Spiritual Warrior and now in November, we must activate

this within.

Its time to begin balancing the divine masculine and divine feminine while uniting

the two in harmony using spiritual guidance of our higher self.

Successful harmony will then lead us straight into heart activation.

Heart activation will be the key to healing the trauma coming up through the exposure

of truths as we begin to see the world in new ways.

To receive the full reading, please watch the video below.

Many blessings,

Nicole.

Watch These Teen Daughters Try To Style Their Moms' Hair - Duration: 7:28.

- Is it curly?

- Yeah!

- Ooh, this is a nourisher.

- I need a nourisher.

- Coconut milk.

- I really hope this turns out okay, I'm gonna pray for you.

- Hi, I'm Nijah.

- I'm Emma. - I'm Ariana.

- In this video

- I'm gonna be doing my mom's hair.

- My mom has NaturallyCurly.com, she started it.

So, she's always been very involved

and invested in my hair.

- My name is Michelle Breyer and I am cofounder of

NaturallyCurly.com

So with Emma, I wanted her to be able to do

whatever she wanted with her hair.

Obviously she had access to so many products

and great curl stylists.

- Growing up my mom just put L.A. Looks in our hair

and a headband.

She had no experience.

She has super thin hair, she's super white,

and she, yeah, no.

- My name is Rachel, and my daughter is going to do my hair.

Growing up I've styled Ari's hair.

Lots of gel.

Just the ignorance of curly hair, we use lots of

gel, blue gel.

So, I'm sorry.

- My mom has been natural all of my life and

then, by force, I went natural, but now

actually I really appreciate it and love it.

So I'm glad I did.

- Hey y'all, my name in Nikki.

So one of the best experiences I think I've had

with my daughter when it comes to hair is

when I encouraged her to chop it all off

and go natural and at first she was hesitant

but she trusted Mama because Mama was natural

and she looked beautiful with natural hair.

- I'm very excited because as she's doing my hair

I'm going to grill her with lots of questions.

- You know, girl, I couldn't show you the email.

- Coconut and Monoi, deep moisture oil treatment.

- I like that.

You should use that.

- Well, I'm in charge.

- Okay.

- I'm gonna try Design Essentials Coconut and

Monoi Leave-in Nourisher.

- And this is a mousse, which actually has won

a lot of awards on our site.

So I will be very excited to see what you're gonna do.

What are you gonna do?

- So I'm putting this on here.

- Is that what that's for?

- I don't know.

It's oil.

- So, Emma, who is your biggest role model?

And be honest, and you don't have to say me.

- You, because I think it's crazy how you raised

two girls.

I think that's so weird.

- A philosopher.

- I don't know, maybe Grandma.

Because she's an activist,

hard-core.

- So, do you have anybody that you admire?

- You.

- I know you admire me, girl.

I'm talking about hair-wise.

- Nah.

I like my own hair.

- Whose hair do you admire?

- Alicia Keys.

- I knew you were gonna say that.

- Her hair is so pretty.

- What do you value in friendship?

What's the things that are most important to you?

- Definitely honesty.

I value honesty but maybe you could be not so

honest when you look at this hairstyle.

- I wish I had black friends.

Oh my gosh, I wish I had friends, period,

but...

- That had nothing to do with hair

and social media, but okay.

- Curl enhance it

with this Design Essentials Curl Enhancing Mousse.

- Is it curly?

- Yeah!

You look like me.

- Which one do you like?

- I like the leave-in, the avocado or almond.

- So, we're gonna try this one.

- But do the leave-in.

No, you really should use the leave-in

conditioner first, child.

- Mom, you know what?

- Babe, just do what I say, okay?

Just use that.

- See? Force.

- Looking out into your future, how do you

see yourself changing the world or impacting

the world?

- Whoo. That's a weighty question.

Ummm...

- For high school I wanna go to Lasa, and then

after I'm gonna get my undergraduate at U.T. and

then I'm gonna apply to go to MIT and, of course,

get accepted, and then I don't know exactly what

kind of degree I wanna get, but I know I wanna

do something with math and science.

Then I'm gonna go to San Antonio and work at NASA.

- So no idea.

You just have no idea.

No game plan.

- I have a vague idea.

- I'd like to be some sort of doctor and

maybe go do Doctors Without Borders.

- So have you decided what you wanna do?

- Yeah.

I mean, I'm going to school to be a pediatrician.

- Get that long paper for your mama.

- I wanna write a book one day also.

Just have something.

- Like your mother.

- Yeah, sorry, I don't think it would be

about curly hair.

I'm not the expert.

- So are you dating anybody?

- Girl, no.

- Okay.

- I don't have time for that.

- That's good, you don't have time for that.

- So, Emma, do you have any crushes?

- I feel like I should not be discussing my love

life in this video.

So no comment.

- Do you ever wanna go to a school dance?

- No.

Because they don't dance.

- What do they do there?

- I don't know, probably just sit around.

Talk. Eat.

- Are you really gonna do a swirl?

- I am gonna do the swirl.

I'm gonna try.

- Can't wait to see how it looks.

- It actually isn't that bad.

- Where's the braid coming from?

Like middle?

Middle of the head?

- Boom!

Boom!

I did that!

What did I do?

That!

- Can I look now?

- Ooh.

I kind of like it.

- But I wanna see.

- Well, I like it.

- Is it a little lopsided?

- Yeah.

- Boom!

- Oh my.

- Look at those edges!

- I feel like the predator.

- It looks very good.

You did a good job.

- Thank you.

- This is a protective style.

You just put a scarf on.

Nobody has a scarf around here?

- Put your arms around me.

Act like you like it.

- I think it went okay

for the most part.

- It is a style that I've never

tried before.

- I think she did a great job.

It is a pretty braid.

- I cannot do hair.

But that was really fun.

I think it went great.

- I think I could've done better.

I decided to branch out and that was not a

good idea.

- It didn't quite go as planned.

- The whole thing was awkward.

- Shooting a video with my mom was definitely a

bonding experience.

- More girl time would be pretty cool.

- I wasn't always so open with my mom.

I think you have to, first, make them understand

how you feel, because, for one, they're not

mind readers.

So if you help them understand and then ease

into what you need, then that will work best.

- Thanks so much for watching.

- Thank you, Design Essentials, for making this

video possible.

- Bye.

Essence of Murli 03-11-2017 - Duration: 7:24.

Om Shanti !

Today's Murli Date Is 3rd November 2017

Essence: Sweet children, you cannot receive liberation or liberation-in-life by remembering bodily beings.

It is the Father Himself who gives you this inheritance directly.

( Inheritance of liberation and liberation in life is only with father. So only he can give this, through rememberance )

Question: Which children does Maya drag to herself even after they belong to the Father?

Answer: Those whose yoga of the intellects wanders to their old relationships,

who don't have full knowledge and who still have old habits; such children are dragged by Maya to herself.

The company outside is very bad and completely destroys you.

The company you keep very soon affects you.

This is why Baba says: Children, connect your intellects in yoga to the one Father.

Only follow the Father. Don't love any bodily being.

Song: Having found You, we have found everything. The earth, the sky all belong to us!

Essence for dharna: 1. Do not have unnecessary thoughts about your karmic bondages.

Remove your intellect from bodily beings. Have unlimited renunciation.

2. In order to become free from bondage, become a complete destroyer of attachment. Have an honest heart.

Become strong and courageous in knowledge.

Blessing: May you be a complete trustee who finishes the defect of the consciousness of "mine" and experiences being full.

If you remain an instrument according to the Father's shrimat, then there is neither, "My family" nor "My centre".

( What do you prefer ? Living with belielf, its mine mine ? eg. My centre, My family or living with belief all belongs to Baba ? )

While being with your family, you are a trustee and even while living at a centre, it is the Father's centre, not yours

and so, it is always the bhandari (Baba's box) of Father Shiva and the bhandara (kitchen) of Brahma.

By having this awareness you will experience being full.

If you bring "mine" into your consciousness, then neither the bhandara nor bhandari will flourish.

If anything is lacking in any task or there is a defect, that is, if something is missing,

the reason for it is that there is the consciousness of "mine" instead of the Father's, that is, has been impurity is mixed into it.

Slogan: In order to become equal to the Father, your understanding, your desires and your deeds all have to be equal.

To the sweetest, beloved, long-lost and now-found children, love, remembrance and good morning from the Mother, the Father, BapDada.

The spiritual Father says namaste to the spiritual children.

We spiritual children convey to spiritual Baapdada, our love our remembrance, our good morning & our namaste namaste

Om Shanti !

Production Tips with Jake Gosling (Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, One Direction) - Duration: 7:09.

My name is Jake Gosling and I'm a music producer/songwriter

and this is my studio, Sticky Studios.

So some of the things I've worked in the past have been

Wiley, a UK rapper

Ed Sheeran

Paloma Faith

One Direction

The Libertines

A bit more recently, Shawn Mendes and Shania Twain.

With production it's fun to be able to be,

I guess you're writing, but you're not writing in the

sense of the word you're having to help the artist, let's say if I'm

producing a track, for that song to sound as clear as it can for the artist.

For me, the most key thing is to focus on the song and if I'm producing the song

I like to know that the song is going to work for me and that's my first port of call.

With the Shawn Mendes thing, it was like I really loved what the demos were

I was like, actually you know, they're sounding really good and I love the

placement of them and I need to make sure that we're gonna go in that same

sort of direction, because normally the demos will outline

the vibe of it, where it's gonna be.

And then it will be the artist, the relationship and how you

relate with them, and how you know, do you get on? You know, it's fundamental that

you have a good relationship and that you can communicate with each other

and there will be times, and it has happened before, that you can start on something

but the relationships not quite there and if the relationships not there

there's no point working on the record because you've got to do it for the

right reasons, and the right reasons are that you both understand what it should be.

and I think that is crucial to it being something more than just another track on the radio.

That relationship between the producer and the artists

or you know the songwriters, whatever that involvement is, I think that is the sort

of magic maybe that people talk about.

and then if that's working really really

well then the next stage is to work firstly with the artists because

they are the driving force, and the record company has sort of become I'd say

another voice, but they vary in the way that they work.

Some A&R people will try and be very hands-on and say "we want this"

and I understand that because I understand that there are

certain rules and things that sometimes things need to fit into

with the length of a song or maybe the chorus could come in here or whatever it might be.

So I have to permanently juggle what it is that people think should be or what

feels right or what is right for the song and I think you have to always push

more on the side of the song and try and get that side across

and then it will be, what do we want? Is it drums? Is it gonna be recorded on an electric, acoustic?

All those decisions have to be made. What is the tempo of the track?

A tempo can make such a massive difference to a song, a massive difference and

even the key of the song. I've had it with Paloma Faith before, there was a

track I did with her and it was really quite slow and then the idea was we'll

sped it up by quite a lot actually and suddenly it changed the whole feel of

the whole song and it became a single in the end.

But I'm always working with the artist so you know it's their vision as well

I'm always like look, really you get the last call, or you should have the last call because it's your vehicle.

You're the one performing it it's your song you're invested in it

it's your career and I don't want to be responsible for like trying to say well

I know more than you because of this because I don't, I have ideas, you've got ideas

but it has to be driven from the creative it has to be driven from the artist.

So that's really sort of my role I guess which is quite a few hats being producer.

With an artist I think you need to make sure

well I need to make sure and they need to make sure that they feel happy

and comfortable with recording and the environment is very very important.

With The Libertines album it wasn't my studio, we did it in Thailand, so as soon as I

got there I spoke to the owner of the studio Chris who's a lovely man

and I was like look I know this sounds a bit weird but we need lamps

we need incense going on, we need the lighting changed, and I'm not

trying to be a diva because it wasn't expensive right we just needed a cheap

like just go out and let's get things to try and dress up this place to make it

feel like we're not in a studio, I'm working with The Libertines, the guys

want to feel like they're in their bedroom half the time they don't want to

feel like they're in some stark studio, so that's what happened and then with

Paloma Faith we put fairy lights all in the booth and she's she loves all that sort

of theatrical sort of thing and suddenly you changed the environment

and we have candles going on, Shania Twain loved candles,

so we had loads of candles burning and stuff like that

I think it's just important to create that environment and

not make it feel like you're in an office you know otherwise go to an office

some people may love that and that's great, everyone's different

but I find as a rule genuinely that people in the creative world tend to like to

you know be a bit creative with it and have fun with it, and it should be fun.

I think for people who have that feeling

where I don't have that piece of kit or I don't have that microphone or I've

written a song I spent like you know the whole day working on something at the

end of it you're like you have this massive fall into the ground, the earth

opens up and you're like ah how am I going to cope with it but I think

you just got to remember that really it doesn't really matter,

The Beatles they're quite

well massive

huge

gigantic

recording on two tracks back in the day.

Don't worry about it is my thing you know with the first album I did with

Ed it was very simply a 200-pound mic with a you know relatively cheap sound card

on Cubase 3 that was hardly working on a PC.

I didn't have a door

on the live booth, that fell off, so we'd have to record really quietly and if you

listen to the songs on Plus, you'll hear noises, you'll hear a little door squeak

or me spinning in the chair or something happening, or a bird's outside

or whatever it is and I think those things are cool don't iron out all the mistakes

just use what you've got and get it down and record it.

If you've got good ideas and you're creative and you've got something to work with that's

all you really need the rest of it's just really really hard work and a bit

of luck thrown in and also the belief that you're not going to give up

don't give up keep going, you know, we've all had that door closed on us we've all

had that one saying "oh that song's not good enough", we had it with The A Team

"the song's not good enough" it's like yes it is! Stick to your guns if you think

it's good enough then if you know it is, then it sort of is.

You've got to have that sort of quiet confidence that, you know, what you're

doing is is right what you're doing is good and it will pay off

you just gotta keep doing it.

How Do You Know If You Have Depression? - Duration: 3:34.

Hey there!

Welcome to Life Noggin.

Depression is a serious illness that affects over 300 million people worldwide.

While everyone feels sad sometimes, people with major depressive disorder — or clinical

depression — can be down for weeks, months, or even years.

It's not something they can shake by changing their routine.

For many, the activities that used to make them happy don't anymore.

They may feel hopeless and exhausted, have trouble sleeping, lose their appetite, or

have a decreased libido.

It can be hard for them to get through the day or complete routine tasks.

At its worst, depression can lead to suicide.

I know this is a delicate topic, so I teamed up my YouTube friend and licensed therapist

Kati Morton!

Kati, could you give us some insight on why people get depressed?

Sure thing!

There isn't really one particular reason people slip into depression.

It can be triggered by an event or stress, but it can also start without a clear cause.

Either way, it's real, and serious.

One in 10 people have been depressed at least once in their lifetime, and it's the leading

cause of disability worldwide.

For decades, scientists believed that the illness was caused by an imbalance of certain

chemicals in the brain, like serotonin, that help regulate mood.

Many medications that treat depression boost these chemicals, but they often take weeks

to work.

This may be because the chemicals are actually helping build new neurons and connections

in the brain.

Several studies support this theory, suggesting that the root cause of depression could be

problems with the brain's circuits.

One study showed that depressed people have weak connections in the parts of the brain

associated with reward and memory, and strong connections in the areas associated with punishment.

Another study found hyperactivity in the areas controlling concentration and mood.

This might be what causes negative thoughts to stay at the front of someone's mind,

even when they try to push them away.

Scientists are now looking for treatments that target these circuits directly to provide

better relief.

But depression can be more than just bad feelings.

It's also been linked to chronic pain, immune system problems, heart disease, and hormone

imbalances.

In fact, physical symptoms are often the first sign of major depressive disorder.

In a study of roughly 1200 people who met the criteria for depression, nearly 70% went

to the doctor for physical symptoms, not mental.

So, does depression cause physical problems, or is it the other way around?

Well, It may be both.

For example, researchers have long thought that stress can cause stomach issues, but

there's also evidence that irritation in your gut can trigger mood swings.

Since the mind and body are so closely linked, mental illness is often felt physically even

though there is no illness in the body itself.

Those physical sensations are called psychosomatic symptoms.

Some scientists believe that physical and emotional pain share similar pathways in the

brain, and it's necessary to treat both types of symptoms to get relief.

No matter how depression manifests, the most important thing is to get the right help.

Many people suffer silently because they think admitting to depression is a sign of weakness.

But it's not, and you are not alone.

Talking about it with a professional is one of the main things that can help, and most

forms of depression are treatable.

If you know someone who might need help, or if you need help now, you can check the links

in the description for free resources.

And please, speak to a professional.

Depression can be very difficult to live with, but there are lots of ways to get help.

Considerations When Buying a New Car: Robins Financial Credit Union - Duration: 1:38.

When you're thinking of buying a new car, one of the biggest decisions is: Used or New?

It's a big question, and there are pros and cons to both.

You may have heard that a typical new car loses about 10% of its value when you drive it off the lot.

This is called depreciation, and it's true - it's one of the main reasons some buyers opt for used cars.

But why consider new at all? Why pay this premium?

There are a few reasons to consider a new car despite the depreciation.

The first is the reliability of a new car.

Not only can you be confident that the car has no hidden problems from a previous owner,

but you will often have the backing of a robust manufacturer warranty...

So if anything does go wrong, the problem may well be covered.

Another reason to consider a new car:

your car will be more likely to have the latest safety and technological features.

Car makers are constantly making improvements,

and if you buy new you should benefit from these innovations.

And finally, there may also be a cost advantage to buying new.

Of course, the sticker price is higher than a used car, and you have the depreciation factor,

but lenders will often give you a better interest rate for a new car.

So be sure to factor that into your calculation as you grapple with the big question of whether to buy used, or new.
