Renew Your Mind to the Love of God with Kenneth Copeland (Air Date 11-20-17) - Duration: 21:56.(Singing) I know my God has made the way for me.
I know my God has made the way for me.
(Singing) I'm not moved by what I feel. I don't live by
what I see, because my God has made the way for me.
KENNETH: Hello, everybody. Welcome to the Thanksgiving
Week Special here on the Believer's Voice of Victory
broadcast. Father, we thank You today for Your
Word. We come before it with expectant hearts. And we
receive from heaven. And we thank You for revelation--
GLORIA: Thank You. KENNETH: --of the Word. We thank You for
revelation of yourself, Jesus. GLORIA: Mm-hmm. KENNETH: We seek
Your face. GLORIA: We're grateful, Lord. KENNETH: In
Jesus' name, amen. Praise God. Good morning, Gloria. GLORIA:
Good morning, sunshine. KENNETH: You look so beautiful this
morning. GLORIA: Thank you. KENNETH: You always look
beautiful. GLORIA: Aw. KENNETH: I get up looking like this, and
you get up looking like-- GLORIA: No, you look great. I
like that blue shirt. KENNETH: Well, thank you very much.
GLORIA: It matches those blue eyes. KENNETH: I appreciate
that. Thank you. This week, we're going to be looking and
turning our attention to the Word in the renewing of our
minds-- GLORIA: Oh, my. KENNETH: --to the truth that God is love.
He doesn't have love, He is love. Amen. Now, we--we've got
to get ahold of this. We're going to grow in His wisdom--
GLORIA: Praise God. KENNETH: --concerning His love for us. So
don't miss any of these broadcasts. Let's get right into
today's message. Let's open our Bibles tonight to the book of I
John. I John, and we'll look in the 4th chapter. I John 4, and
let's read the 8th verse. "He that loveth not knoweth not God;
for God is love." Now, this book of I John is the book that
reveals to us that God doesn't have love-- TOGETHER: --He is
love. KENNETH: He has faith. He is love. Now, it is extremely
important. I cannot emphasize how important it is. The Lord
has placed this in my heart some months ago. And it has just
been--oh, just such a glorious thing to have a renewed mind
concerning "God is love." Now, the word "God" actually--the way
you and I know it, is not a Bible word. It came out of
German theology, "Gott." And you do understand that God has
names? (Audience Agrees) Amen. And his name is not God. His
name isn't Christ. Ha-ha-ha-ha. That may come as a real shock to
some. For instance, He is God, English-ized "Jehovah." It's not
actually pronounced Jehovah. That's been English-ized for us.
Now, He is Jehovah, or I--I really enjoy spelling his name
in Hebrew because people actually, and for a large point,
don't really know anymore how to pronounce His name because the
Jewish people refused for centuries to pronounce it. And
over the years--I won't go into all that. But Yod-Hey-Vav-Hey,
the name, mm. The name. Say it. TOGETHER: The name. KENNETH:
Whoa. Hallelujah. He is Yod-Hey-Vav-Hey Rapha. He
is--that's one of His names, our healer. Huh? Now listen to me.
If healing passed away, God would have had to have changed
his name. (Audience Agrees) That isn't going to happen. AUDIENCE:
Amen. KENNETH: Amen. The stars will fall out of the sky before
that happens, literally. Amen. Oh, this is so vitally
important. But we've just used the word "God" and used the
word, you know, "love." The reason, particularly with
English-speaking people--and I'm quite sure it's this way in
other languages. But with English-speaking people, I mean,
we love everything. "Don't you just love my new suit?" No, I
don't love your suit. (Audience Agrees) No. This--there's a lack
of reverence for Him-- "Love not the world, nor the things in the
world." So what are we talking about here? Well, you need to
reserve the word "love" for whom it was intended. "I love my God
with all of my heart, all of my soul, all of my mind and my
strength. I love my neighbor as myself. I love the brethren even
as He loves the brethren. I love my wife. I love my family. I
love the Word of God. And I love the brethren. I love you." I
don't love my clothes. (Audience Agrees) AUDIENCE: Come on.
KENNETH: I don't love food. (Audience Agrees) "Well, Brother
Copeland, what am I supposed to say?" Are you really
that--(Laughter) What does the Bible say? "I don't know."
(Laughs) Well, what did the apostle Paul write Timothy? He
said, "God gives us all--" TOGETHER: "--things richly to
enjoy." Yes. KENNETH: Now, think about that for a moment. Think
about what He just said now. He asked me one day, He said,
"Kenneth, do I give you things to meet your needs?" I said,
"Yes." He said, "No." (Laughter) Well, I knew then I'd been had
because I--at that point, I didn't have a clue what He was
talking about. He said, "No, son. I give you things richly to
enjoy, and they meet your needs." See, it wasn't my needs
that He had in mind. Huh? AUDIENCE: That's right. KENNETH:
Boy, you missed a place to say "amen" right there. (Audience
"Amens") God is a god of joy. AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH: The joy
of the Lord is our strength. AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH: I was
sitting on the platform one night, and the whole place was
shouting and going on. I finally just sat down. And while I was
sitting there, the Lord said something to me that startled
me. He said, "Kenneth, if it hadn't been for sin, I never
would have had a serious thought." He said, "What is
there to be serious about?" He said, "I got serious when death
came." And I--I grasped a snapshot of Him all of a sudden.
He is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness,
goodness. Huh? (Audience "Amens") Can you see it? You
see--you see what He is? And if it hadn't been for that mess,
we'd all still just be dancing and a'singing. That's all
anybody'd ever do. AUDIENCE: Amen! KENNETH: He's big on
dancing and singing. He--He commanded people to dance and
sing. Amen. He's big on that. It's us that have been so
stiff-necked, we--you know. AUDIENCE: Amen! KENNETH: "Well,
Brother Copeland, you know, I just--I--you know, I'm just not
very demonstrative." (Laughter) "And I have a praise in my
heart." Not in abundance, you don't. (Audience "Amens")
Because if it was in there in abundance, it'd come out your
mouth--(Audience Agrees)--because out of the
abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. Now, that works
all the time. AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH: Ha-ha. The little twin
engine airplane I had, the first twin we had, it had tip tanks,
fuel tanks on the wing tips. And that thing--oh, that fuel tank,
it was a teardrop tank, and it came to almost a point in the
back where it was about--oh, it was about like that. And it was
just this high. And if you weren't looking, you could
really do some serious damage to your forehead if you weren't
looking, and bang your head into that tip tank. Well, I walked
into the maintenance shop one day, and they were working
around in there. And just as I walked across the hangar floor,
one of these mechanics hit that tip tank. He hollered. You could
have heard him out in the--you could imagine what he said.
(Audience Murmurs) Yeah, that's right. Just what you thought he
said. He got his head up here, and I walked up. "Oh, preacher."
Ha-ha-ha-ha. "Forgive me." I said, "Don't let me cramp your
style, brother. Glory to God. I ain't here to judge you." I
said, "When Jesus was on the earth, He said, 'Out of the
abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.' We know what you're
full of." (Laughter) I didn't help him a bit. (Laughs) Amen.
Now then, to be aware and to respect that word, love is God,
and God is love. I enjoy things. Amen. But I reserve my
expression of love for the things that God loves. AUDIENCE:
Amen. Amen. KENNETH: And it starts off with Him. AUDIENCE:
Amen. KENNETH: Amen. AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH: Oh, yeah. Gloria
and I are fully aware, as much--my, my, as we love one
another, we are together almost all the time. I don't--I have no
remembrance of the last--any kind--any form of an argument
that we had. AUDIENCE: Aw. KENNETH: I mean, we've been
married 55 1/2 years, and it--now, back there, you know,
Kenneth B.C., I tried to fight with her. She never would do it.
You know you can't fuss by yourself? (Laughter) She
just--she just--she just wouldn't. She just always
ministered to me and changed my life. Absolutely changed my
life. We were in Hawaii. We had just come back from--from
ministering in the South Pacific, just back before the
days of our airplane being able to go across the ocean. And we
got in to Hawaii. We--I mean, we--we had been ministering just
a really extended period of time, in Australia and so forth.
Anyways... Oh, I was tired. I'll tell you, I felt like I'd been,
you know, pulled through a keyhole or something. I was just
"huh-huh-huh," just seemed like--just bone tired.
(Grumbling & Growling) (Laughter) Now, there ain't no
excuse for that. I don't care how tired you are. AUDIENCE:
Amen. KENNETH: Amen. (Audience "Amens") And so we went down to
breakfast at the hotel where we were staying, little outdoor
continental breakfast. We went back down there. (Grumbling &
Growling) (Laughter) Just barking at everybody. And
I--ha-ha. I threw some money down there on the table. And
when I turned around, Gloria had come over around and behind me.
And when I turned around, she was standing right there.
(Laughter) And she looked up at me, and she caught me by my
shirt, and this little tear was coming down. She said, "I am
going to be a blessing to you some way." (Meekly) "Okay."
(Laughter) And then another time, some--some years later,
she walked around behind me. I was sitting in a church, sitting
in their study. And, oh, man, it seemed like--seemed like just
all the pressure you could imagine would come in there on
me. And here again I was really, really tired. She walked around
and put her hands on my back, and she began to pray for me.
And she said, "Sweetheart, I find no fault in you." That one
moment changed my love life forever. AUDIENCE: Wow. KENNETH:
It got through to my spirit-- AUDIENCE: Wow. KENNETH: --being.
It went in there like a bolt of love that--it just--it--it took
all of that out of me forever. I've not been gripey and
grumpy--well, maybe a little. (Laughter) But at least I've had
sense enough to stop it before I became as obnoxious as I was
back there then. Amen. Those words of love changed my whole
life. "I wish I had a woman like that." Well, you can't have
mine. (Laughter) You'd probably have if you'd treat her halfway
right. Well, I'm not going to go there right now, but--(Laughter)
Amen. We better get back--we better get back to our business
here. Now then, honoring the word "love," to honor God, to
renew our mind. And this takes a decision because you're in the
habit of saying these kinds of things. It takes a decision to
correct yourself. "No, no, I don't love my new car, I enjoy
it. Amen. I love--I love the Lord that gave it to me. Amen."
(Audience "Amens") "And He gave it for me to enjoy." AUDIENCE:
Yes. KENNETH: Hallelujah. AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH: Now,
let's read this verse again. "He that loveth not knoweth not God;
for God is love." Now let's go down to the 16th verse. "We have
known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and
he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God," who is love,
"and God," who is love, "in him." AUDIENCE: Yes. KENNETH:
Now, we're going to do some of these things in this service
tonight, but I just want to start you off like this: In the
beginning, love created the heaven and the earth. AUDIENCE:
Whoo! KENNETH: Love did that. In the beginning was the Word. The
Word was with God," who is love--" Can you see what I'm
doing here? See how that--that strikes your thinking, causes
you to begin to renew your mind? You start cutting new grooves in
your brain where the word "love" is concerned and where the word
"God" is concerned. You do the same thing with the word
"Christ," amen, the Anointed One and His anointing. Amen. So,
now, look at that 16th verse. "We have known and believed the
love--" Now, every born-again human being has had that holy
moment of knowing Jesus--(Audience "Amens")--by
the Holy Spirit. But most--most--almost all
born-again, Holy Spirit-baptized, healing,
believing, tongue-talking, faith-walking Christians don't
believe that God loves them. AUDIENCE: Amen! KENNETH: "Oh,
yes, I do." No, you don't. You mentally assent to the fact that
He loves you. But how much love and faith are you putting in
that love? AUDIENCE: My Lord. KENNETH: "Have faith in God." I
just said, "Have faith in love." (Audience Agrees) Whether I
realized it or not, that's what I just said. "Have faith in
God," who is love. Have faith--not have faith
in His love. Have faith in love Himself.

One Scary Deep Web Story (Part 1) - Duration: 5:18.I was sitting in my office drinking coffee when I noticed my coworkers running to the
break room.
Fearing something 9/11 I joined them to see that there was an active shooter at Norfolk
Middle School.
I dropped my coffee on the floor as someone turned to me and said, "Doesn't your son
David..."
Everything went silent.
I didn't even notice the hot coffee splashing on my ankles or the clamor of my co-workers
shuffling around me.
The television showed me everything I never wanted to see.
I didn't get any work done.
I spent the rest of my day in the break room staring at the television.
It was around that time that someone came to tell me that the phone in my office was
ringing off of its hook.
I feared for the worst as I shuffled back to my desk.
I picked up the receiver and listened in horror as the voice said, "Mrs. Sullivan, we regret
to inform you that your son David..."
I dropped the phone.
It was all too much.
David was only thirteen years old and like that, he was gone.
The next few weeks were a blur.
I buried my son.
My husband drifted deeper into a bottle of vodka to avoid looking at me.
My son had been dead three weeks before another school shooting happened and the reporters
stopped calling as often.
It was just the latest in the long line of tragedies that fuel the twenty-four hour news
cycle.
It had been a month by the time I finally worked up the nerve to walk into my son's
room.
It was therapeutic to clean his room.
At the same time, I had to take a break to sob as I realized no one would be stuffing
empty bags of Doritos into bottles of Mountain Dew and hiding them under his bed.
I sat on his dirty floor and slammed my hand against the side of his computer tower.
The cover fell off and I found a piece paper taped to the inside.
It was his passwords.
I decided to climb into my son's computer chair and start digging through his online
life.
His Facebook was little more than an assortment of groups where kids his age shared memes
and laughed about Slavic men squatting in track suits.
I didn't get the joke, but it was something he seemed to post about often.
I was about to shut his computer down when I found a folder named DefNotPoesLaw on his
desktop.
It was inside of this folder that I found a series of icons, one of which looked like
an onion.
I gave it a double-click and it pulled up an IRC client.
I was prompted for a password.
I looked through his password list and found one that had the same name as the folder I'd
found the IRC client in.
I typed in the password and was logged into a channel called #hiredguns.
The speakers made a loud dinging noise and the window started flashing on the taskbar.
I had received a private message from someone named JeffTK.
It read:
Your request has been fulfilled DefNotPoesLaw.
The targets at Norfolk Middle School have been terminated.
Payment has not been received.
You do not want to owe us money.
I replied, "You sick fuck!
My son died in that shooting!
You think this is funny?"
I was kicked from the IRC channel and disconnected from the server.
I tried to log back in and I received a message that read:
Connection Refused: User has been banned.
I spent the rest of the night reading through every chat log and text file on my son's
computer.
I read about how a group of kids at his school had been teasing him.
I read about how he had been spending all of his free time on something called the Deep
Web.
He talked about how he'd scraped enough BitCoin together to pay the first half of
a payment needed to hire a contract killer.
It was around that time that I found the folder where my son stored all of his nude selfies
and videos.
I threw up in my mouth as I found out in vivid detail that my thirteen year old son was performing
live camera shows for creepy men on the deep web for BitCoin so he could fund his whole
murder/suicide plot.
As I read through the last of his hidden diary in the DefNotPoesLaw folder, I stared at the
monitor in front of me.
It was at that time that I noticed a green LED light on the top of the monitor was flashing
under a post-it note.
I pulled it away and a Notepad window opened up.
I sat there as someone typed out the line,
Your son owed us five-thousand dollars.
We will contact you with an account number where you can transfer the funds.
If you call the police we'll kill everyone you love.
I reached down and pulled the plug from the back of the computer.
It was too much take in.
My David had lived a very secretive life online.
Knowing what I knew, I had no idea how to proceed.
I had never considered the possibility that my son was responsible for the shooting.
What floored me though was knowing he had set it up so that he'd die in the shooting.
That night I joined my husband as I poured myself a glass of vodka stared into the distance.
I had a lot to consider as I went forward.
There was an encrypted drive on my son's computer and I had the password.
I'd read that the next day.
I'll post more of this when I can write without crying.
The more I think about this, the more I realize that I completely failed as a parent.

Ιερό Αιγυπτίων Θεών. Sanctuary Of Ancient Egyptian Gods (English Subs) - Duration: 5:10.When heading towards Marathonas
to Nea Makri specifically
we come across road signs that direct us to another historical destination
The Sanctuary of ancient Egyptian Gods
Worship of Egyptian Gods in Greece?
But of course!
And makes perfect sense if we consider
the regular merchant relations between Greeks and Egyptians
that led to cultural and religious influences by both sides
At Brexiza swamp
at the southern side of Marathonas
archeologists unearthed a large site that included a sanctuary dedicated
to ancient Egyptian Gods
as well as a luxurious Valanium (baths)
system that was constructed
by Herod Atticus approximately at 160AD
The area he chose to build the sanctuary
is not by chance because
beyond the reason that Marathonas was his birthplace and remained his favorite all his life
Herod wanted to mimic Emperor Andrianus
who had established a Serapeum at the artificial island of Tivoli
near Rome
a structure that he copied himself after the original Serapeum at Canopus
in the Nile Delta
So we see clearly that his choice of the area
named as "the Isle" by many historians in the past
is totally not random
As we already mentioned
the sanctuary
is dedicated to the God Serapis
the syncretic Greco-Egyptian deity who was aspect of God Osiris
but also to Goddess Isis
that in Greek tradition
found matches to Goddesses Demitra and Venus
The matching
is found at the depiction of the statues
that besides the obvious Egyptian looking design
if we look closer at their characteristics
e.g. their hair and face
they show great signs of Greek style
and we see here Isis holding flowers
a detail that was added to her after combining her aspect to that of Goddess Venus
While excavating the site
except the area of the sanctuary
where Horus was also worshiped
were also found ruins of Valanium (baths)
that was required for the need of the essential ceremonial cleansing of the visitors
before the worship rituals
The statues we see today on the site
are copies of the originals that are now located in the Marathonas Museum
They were moved there in order to be preserved
as the quality of their material would end up fully destructed
because of the location at the swamp and the very short distance of the place from the sea
As we referred in the beggining
even though it might sound odd
the existence of a sanctuary dedicated to Egyptian deities in Greece
is not something rare or uncommon
According to historical writings
the worship of Egyptian Gods in Greece
started about 333BC
with the establishment of a sanctuary of Isis in Piraeus
and became even more popular practice during the period of the Ptolemaic
and later on Roman days
Sanctuaries dedicated to Serapis and Isis
are also found in Delos
Dion in Pieria
ancient Messenia
and Cortina in Crete
In Eretria we find a temple of Isis
and in Kallithea at Chalkidiki a temple of Amman Zeus
