Frieza felt his excitement growing as he listened to the Gods of Destruction in awe of this
new technique that they called Ultra Instinct.
He was sure that this would be useful to him.
But that didn't keep Frieza and all the others on the stage watching from noticing
the intense heat exiting Goku's body.
Goku may have increased his abilities immensely, but Frieza was sure it couldn't last for
much longer.
And he knew that Goku would do anything to get that power back after he lost this battle.
Frieza knew exactly how to use him to help him reach the end of this tournament.
Who would've guessed that Goku would become such a wonderful ally?
He had wished he wouldn't have to listen to it anymore.
Frieza remembered being so frustrated there.
With nothing to do but be annoyed or meditating.
But he had felt the presence of someone familiar coming closer.
This was the moment that had given Frieza a chance of freedom.
A chance that would end up leading to seeing the awakening of Ultra Instinct within Goku.
A technique that Frieza wanted to use for himself.
The familiar person arrived.
Goku.
Not the person he wanted to see.
But Goku actually had something useful to say.
Frieza had found himself a way to get out of this annoying place.
Even if it was only for a day.
Anywhere but there would be welcome.
Goku and his little friends wanted Frieza to help them save the Universe.
Frieza saw an opportunity, so he agreed to help.
He had actually started to miss Earth.
At least compared to there.
And Frieza found it very unfortunate that 1 day would be all he had.
Why not try for longer?
He realized that he should make a bargain.
Goku could either accept or say no.
It really didn't matter to Frieza.
Either way, he would still be miserable.
However, Goku's team was desperate.
Not having all 10 members by the start of the tournament would mean being erased immediately.
Frieza could feel the rush that Goku was in.
Goku had to save the Universe, so he accepted Frieza's wishes.
He would resurrect Frieza if Universe 7 won.
But there was a catch.
One that Frieza liked very much.
Goku informed him that the individual winner of the tournament would be granted a wish
from the Super Dragon Balls.
At this moment, Frieza's plan to do anything he could to win began.
This plan would be simple.
With his slick character and frightening attacks, how hard could it be to manipulate some gullible
Saiyans?
And who knew what other fighters Frieza would find at this tournament?
A battle royale seemed like the perfect place to find people that he could convince to help
him to win.
But there was a challenge that was awaiting Frieza
before he would even be able to go to this Tournament of Power that Goku had spoken of.
He had thought he had started to miss Earth.
But the thought of what was coming was enough to make really wonder about that.
He would have to get through Universe 7's team.
Frieza was sure they wouldn't be happy with Goku's decision.
But he really didn't mind dealing with them.
His end goal would be worth it in the end.
And once he arrived to the Tournament of Power, Frieza discovered that he was right.
The pressure in the air gave Frieza a good guess at the power levels of the other teams
in the tournament.
And just as he had thought, There were many weak fighters here.
But even better, there was another, more dark feeling in the air.
And the source of that darkness was coming.
Just his luck that his first victim walked right up to him.
This was Frieza's first step to winning the Super Dragon Balls.
But he had no idea that his biggest ally would be someone he already knew.
Frieza instantly could feel Frost's dark presence.
This would be the perfect person for Frieza to easily use.
Frost had been cast out as a criminal due to Goku.
And his revenge was very clear to Frieza.
So the 2 made a plan to work together.
Frost thought he was in control.
But Frieza's fate was going to allow everything to go his way to find just the right person
to help him win.
Frost's first target was the weakest person he could find.
Master Roshi was already weak from using the Evil Containment Wave.
But suddenly, Frost found himself in a bad situation.
He thought for sure his secret teammate would come to help him out.
Frieza did show up, but he was hiding a secret of his own.
And by eliminating Frost himself, Frieza proved that manipulation was the game
that he was playing.
This made the others from Universe 7 even more worried about Frieza's intentions.
However, they were not surprised.
And little did they know that Frieza's intentions were about to get even worse.
Everyone was in shock.
Goku was completely different.
The way he looked.
The way he acted.
The way he was fighting.
Frieza had never been so interested in what was happening to Goku.
Now being teammates, there was no need to fight his enemy.
For once, he could just sit and observe.
Goku's speed was incredible.
His energy was so calm.
This was a power Frieza had never seen before.
And Jiren had more than proven his strength.
But even worse, Frieza overheard Whis' comment.
Jiren was far from using his full power.
That would be troublesome for Frieza.
It wasn't the fact that he didn't believe he, of all people, couldn't rise to the
challenge.
But he did know he would be pushed to his full limit.
And that's why using Goku's new power was more than enough reason for Frieza to
take an interest in it.
Goku's appearance changed for just a moment.
It was obvious that his power was coming to an end.
His heat about to run out.
And that's when Jiren stopped Goku in the middle of his attack.
It was certain now.
Goku's time was over.
And his anger of defeat would be high.
Frieza knew this would be the best time to throw his plan to win the Tournament of Power
into full gear.
Frieza couldn't understand these people.
Shocked that Goku had actually lost.
But as he had predicted, Goku came crashing down into the floor of the stage.
Completely drained of energy.
Goku's fight had ended.
Frieza's goal was getting closer and closer.
He was even starting to consider helping Goku out.
Goku had helped him in the past.
Now they would be even.
He found Goku weak and talking to Vegeta.
But as soon as Vegeta turned his back, Frieza went into action.
The heat of revenge started burning in him.
Frieza's had gotten his biggest enemy alone.
No one around to save him.
This would be the perfect moment to do what he really wanted to.
The memory still clear of the place Goku had sent him to.
But should he?
Revenge on Goku?
Or the wish from the Super Dragon Balls?
The choice was actually harder than Frieza thought it would be.
But he finally decided as he looked down at his next victim.
Frieza was almost disappointed in himself for making the choice that he had.
But the chance to use Goku for his own sake was just too good.
The only bad thing Frieza saw in this, however, was the fact that what he was about to do
might not even work.
Giving energy to Goku would at least get him back on his feet.
But after that, even Frieza wasn't sure how Goku would get back up to normal, much
less achieve this Ultra Instinct technique again.
Frieza decided it didn't matter though.
In his mind, it was either going to be himself or Goku up against Jiren at the end of this
thing.
Why waste the energy?
He had nothing to lose.
And soon Frieza's happiness would prove that he had made the correct choice.
This was surprisingly proving to be so much fun.
Getting to be on the same side as Goku let him actually enjoy Goku's ability to gain
his energy back so quickly.
At this point, Frieza had found himself having to deal with even more Saiyans than normal.
Even eliminating one of them didn't erase his disgust.
His desire to fight and defeat this 2 girls was getting harder and harder to deny.
But somehow, his unknowing victim convinced him to wait it out.
Frieza figured he might as well wait.
At this rate, maybe he would see Goku actually reach Ultra Instinct again.
He was starting to taste victory.
But annoyingly, it looked like that dream was quickly coming to an end.
For one, Goku was about to steal Frieza's fun of eliminating the 2 female Saiyans.
And second, Goku had only reached Super Saiyan God.
Goku was becoming useless to Frieza.
He needed that Ultra Instinct power.
But then a happy surprise entered Frieza's view.
What was this?
Something suddenly flashed from the void back onto the stage.
Only one of them?
Frieza couldn't believe what he was seeing.
Her speed was almost as impressive as Goku's new technique.
Goku was the underdog again in only an instant.
Those girls had fused.
And Frieza was quite satisfied.
The fire of his hope lit up again.
Frieza wanted nothing more than for these girls to push Goku past his limits even further.
He felt Kefla's angry and confident power.
And it was aimed straight at Goku.
Maybe these Saiyans weren't so bad after all.
As he watched Goku continue to rapidly revive his strength, Frieza's happiness with his
decision to give Goku that energy earlier grew.
But then his senses heightened.
The pressure in the air lifted off of him.
Goku had been knocked unconscious by Kefla's harsh kick.
The annoyance for those girls was back.
Frieza wasn't surprised to see Goku force himself to stand back up.
But of course he was completely out of it.
Frieza was getting tired of this up and down commotion.
One moment seeing Goku improve, and the next being forced to figure out his move on Jiren.
Kefla threw an attack.
Great!
Now his chance to use, or even to get his revenge on Goku, was gone.
If Goku got eliminated, Frieza would have to choose between wasting his time fighting
Jiren himself or finding a new victim he could manipulate.
And that's when Frieza got excited.
Goku dodged.
This was very good news.
Ultra Instinct was back.
Frieza could see the heat emitting from Goku's body again.
It was becoming unlikely that Goku would be able to go up against Jiren again for now.
Frieza was sure that Goku would lose that power again soon if he didn't learn to control
that leaking heat.
That was too bad.
No matter what happened, Frieza would make sure Goku would continue on.
Seeing Ultra Instinct for a second time only proved to Frieza that Goku would be able to
use it at least one more time in a rematch vs Jiren.
And he knew Goku was itching for another try.
When Goku fell to his knees, he was both happy to have won his battle, but also disappointed
at his own limited access to this new power.
He barely had energy left.
He had returned right back to where he had been before after his fight with Jiren.
But Frieza still needed Goku to work for him.
With Goku still in this, Frieza's chances of winning the Super Dragon Ball wish was
so close to being 100%.
He could almost feel it.
He looked down at Goku.
Weakened once again.
No worries.
Frieza had decided to supply Goku with energy again.
He was Frieza's free ticket to his ultimate goal.
But Frieza would have to help Goku fast.
Their biggest enemy had awaken from his meditation.
And he was taking quite an interest in Goku's return to Ultra Instinct.
The entire Universe 7 team was beginning to worry.
Would he try to attack Goku while he was out of energy?
With Jiren never even getting close to showing his full capabilities, there were still many
questions unanswered about Jiren's powers.
And the biggest one of all was this.
How had Jiren not been erased on the spot for floating?
Wasn't that considered a form of flight?
The thing was
