Good morning and welcome to this month's episode of the Wake Up Date. We just had
Thanksgiving, the holiday season is out in full force, and I could not be more
excited about it. I love this time of year. I just never really lost that
childlike excitement for Christmastime, I'm into the music, I'm excited about the
weather getting colder, maybe a little bit of snow here or there - we'll see how it
goes! But most of all, I am looking forward to going home to New Jersey and
getting to see my family and I just am so ready. This is also the busiest time
of year for me and so by the time we get to the end of December when I can
celebrate and relax, I feel like I have especially earned it.
So in case you've started your holiday shopping, I wanted to tell you about some
of the places where you can buy things that I am selling! I have a bunch of
nerdy t-shirts inspired by my music over on dftba.com. I'm no longer selling these
at my shows in person, so if you want one of these shirts, the only place to get it
is on dftba.com and they'll send it to you and it'll be awesome. They're super
soft, really nice quality t-shirts, and I love all of the t-shirt designs, I'm
really really happy with them. They're also doing a holiday sale over there and
all of my t-shirts are 20% off from November 24th to November 27th. so if you
go to dftba.com/Lauren that's where you can find them. You might also
know that I have an Etsy shop called Fairweather Friends where I sell my
plushies and my jewelry that I make. I also just posted a bunch of the felt
handmade pins that you've been asking me to put online for a while now. I am just
really really happy with the way that these came out. I love them so much, I've
been wearing them every time I go to an event just because I really like them. I
just think they're so cute and I make them all by hand and I cut out all the
tiny pieces by hand, one at a time. And just to see if it would work because I
thought that this might be something that could be really cute, I pinned a
ribbon to the back of one of the handmade pins to see if I could make it
into a little Christmas ornament and it totally works, so if you want me to
temporarily make any of the pins that you buy into a little Christmas ornament,
just leave me a note at checkout and I'll add a ribbon like this. If you'd
like to buy anything from my Etsy shop and have it arrive in time for Christmas,
make sure you place your order by December 13th if you live within the
United States and December 1st if you live outside of the United States. That
is because International shipping takes a long time and also because I'm going
to be performing at the Yule Ball this year and I want to get all of my holiday
orders sent out before that happens just to make sure that they all go out
on time. Also I'm going to be pulling down a lot of the items for my Etsy shop
to be able to take them to the Yule Ball if there's anything left over at that
point. I've been working really hard on all of these so I hope that you find
something you like and I'm gonna pack it up and make it look super cute for you
too. And you can find all of the handmade products that I currently have available
on Fairweatherfriends.Etsy.com - Speaking of the Yule Ball, if you missed my
announcement last month, The Moaning Myrtles which is my first wizard rock
band, will be reuniting at the Yule Ball this year. December 15th in Washington DC,
December 16th in Brooklyn New York, and December 17th
in Boston Massachusetts. Read the video description below for more information
and ticket links for all of those shows, they're gonna be amazing, I can't wait.
I'm also gonna be playing a couple of my solo Lauren Fairweather songs at
those shows. And I'll be playing a normal lauren fairweather show on New Year's
Eve in Woonsocket Rhode Island, I'm always excited for those house party
shows and I've actually never been to one of the New Year's ones in all the
years that Brian's been hosting these house party shows. So this will be my
first New Year's one! I'm really excited and I hope that you'll come and see me!
And to tie up this episode I have a bunch of patreon shoutouts. A lot of people
have been donating at the shoutout level which makes me so so happy. It makes it
possible for me to keep making these videos and being creative full-time and
it just means a lot to me. I really really appreciate everybody
who's donated on my patreon campaign which you can find at patreon.com/
laurenfairweather and if you want to support me but you prefer to stay right
on youtube, you can click the sponsor button down below the video and use
YouTube's sponsorships beta. It's a pretty cool new feature that I've been
testing out for them and it's something that really supports me and helps me out
because lately some of my videos have been getting demonetized for no reason
and it takes up to a week for them to get the ads back on and it's just been a
mess. So thank you thank you thank you thank you to everybody who's been
supporting me on patreon and on YouTube because you are making that
demonetization disaster a lot easier to handle. So this month I wanted to send a
shout-out and a big THANK YOU to Nicki B! Thank You Lucy black, I hope you're
having a wonderful holiday season! Thank You Ashley Sousa! thank you Mark slide!
Thank You Roni, you're awesome! thank you so much Saxony. thanks Abby Ritter. And
Thank You Antonio G. I'm gonna head back downstairs and go hang
with my kid I hope you're doing well, thanks for watching, and I'll see you
soon.
