Waching daily Nov 26 2017

[English] - Hey! I'm Conor, the Language Tsar and today I'm in Brussels Belgium.

I'm not gonna exaggerate. Brussels is not my favorite city in Europe but if you do happen to

be here for whatever reason, you see get stuck here you're forced to come here for work

like a lot of people are or you're just curious about the city because it does

have some things to offer. It's not completely void of distractions and fun but ... so in

this video I'm going to give you a little bit of overview of my favorite

things to do with I'm in Brussels for just a couple of days so let's go and

see Brussels!

- So Conor, how does it feel to be back in Brussels? The City where I used to live for

what? Five years? - Yeah that's right ... a little bit bittersweet I mean the the

rain has gone ... Yeah, this is probably the most beautiful square in Europe

around the La Grand' Place in Brussels and it's really spectacular. If only the city

all looked like this then of course I would probably never have left but it's

just one square. It was built with huge money when the city was rich.

- I didn't all these things gonna thank you for listening

- Yeah, I mean normally Language Tsar is not so intellectual, right?

That right there is one of Belgium's national treasures that is the Mannekin Pis ... a little boy who is taking

a pee ... - Biggest disappointment if you come here as a tourist!

- Clearly this is what Language Tar is not about!

Janneke Pis which is the female version is a lot more kind of discrete

and hidden that's beside Delirium pub.

So Brussels is not just the capital of Belgium, Flanders the region, it's also

the capital of European institutions so you're gonna find that there are a lot

of people from all over Europe who live here. Most of the people who are actually

living in Brussels were not born in Belgium. So yeah, it's kind of a real

multicultural and multilingual mix here.

So one of the really great things

about Brussels is its chocolate and this is one of the best cities I think in the

world where you can go and find chocolatier. So let's go and take some

of that delicious Belgian chocolate!

[French] Good evening! - Good evening!

- What types of chocolate do you have? There are pralines ... what's the difference?

- So we have lots of types of chocolate. Here we have the tablets ('les tablettes').

Here we have the chocolate fondant (melting chocolate).

But we also have chocolates infused with different flavors like rose and violet etc.

And then we have the pralines which are a paste of dried fruit mixed with the chocolate.

- Great! Thanks very much! - With pleasure!

[Dutch] - Yes ... Dutch ... Good afternoon!

Typical for Belgium are the razor clams.

These are really typical for us, the razor clams.

We have the grilled fish with some wine and the aioli dip.

And we make our famous fish soup, of course.

A real Belgian dish is mussels and fries but we don't do fries here.

We don't cook fries here. We have a focus an the real seafood itself.

- [French] So the rosé is special, right? - Yes, it's got a raspberry taste, a little taste of raspberry.

And the white beer, here's the grand cru but it's a little shorter.

It's the best! - The best? - Yes, the best! That's true?

- For the French, it's wine and for the Belgians, it's beer. - Ok.

[English] - So that is Brussels. They were my few days here. Give this video a big thumbs up if

you liked it of course! Until the next video

it is 'tot ziens' which is 'goodbye' in Dutch. 'Au revoir' which is of course in French and

'Auf wiedersehen' which is in German, the third official language of Belgium.

How to Make Embroidery Hoop Art (using Scrap Fabrics) | Style Pile #20 - Duration: 5:44.

Hello, welcome back, and we have skipped the intro again so we can

just get right into it!

This is a 4-part mini-series-within-a-series, where I try and reuse a bunch of scrap fabrics

from my "Style Pile" box.

That has become... boxes.

In the last 2 episodes, we made a fox plushie and an eyemask, and in THIS episode, we'll

be using our scrap fabrics, and two new materials - embroidery threads and a wooden hoop - to

make some embroidery hoop art.

Scrap fabrics are GREAT to use for embroidery, especially as you can get embroidery hoops

in just about any size you need.

So those really pretty but TINY fabric scraps that you can't bear to throw out, well,

you can get teeny tiny hoops just for those!

These little hoops are from an Etsy store, and they make cute tiny hoop art knick-knacks

or pendants for necklaces.

So, this is how to set fabric into an embroidery hoop:

First I found a piece of scrap fabric that was slightly larger than the embroidery hoop

that I wanted to use.

I cut this scrap down to size, but I also made sure that it's at least a couple of

inches wider than the hoop all the way around.

Then, I opened the embroidery hoop up… and I placed the small hoop down at the back…

and I put the fabric on top of this.

The bigger hoop then goes on top of this...

"pop!"

- then I tightened the screw to hold

it all in place.

And if your fabric's really cute, you could even leave it like this, or you can paint

on it, draw on it… or… you can do some embroidery!

Which is what I'm going to be doing in today's video.

And I'm going to do some timelapses for a couple of the hoops that I made, showing

you some essential stitches that I use all the time in embroidery along the way.

So – let's go!

On this floral scrap piece of fabric, I free-handed a heart shape with some erasable chalk, then

I did an outline of this heart using a back-stitch, and I filled in the shape with a satin stitch.

And I'll have links to more detailed videos showing you how to do all of these stitches,

as well as how to thread an embroidery needle and how knot your thread, in the description

box below.

So you'll be totally sorted to make your own hoop art.

On this plain cream-coloured piece of scrap fabric, I drew an outline of a tree with a

water-soluble marker, and then I did a satin-stitch for the tree trunk and branches with brown

thread, and an OUTLINE stitch for the tree's leaves,

and then I filled in the tree's

leaves with a long-and-short stitch.

This stitch is really similar to satin stitch but it's useful for filling in larger shapes

than what a regular satin stitch can handle.

Also, I did little guide stitches around the circle-shape of the leaves, to guide my long-and-short

stitches.

And I actually put this one into one of those mini-hoops – I'm going to make it into

a necklace pendant!

Lastly, to finish off the hoop, and to make the edges all nice, first I folded them in

like this and I REALLY roughly hand-stitched it into place, pulling the thread tight to

make the fabric all fold in, all around the edges, like this.

Now, I know it doesn't look that pretty, but that doesn't matter, because I'm about

to cover that up.

To make it nicer on the back, I grabbed some more scraps that were big enough, traced around

the hoop with some chalk to get the approximate size of the hoop, cut this out, and cut it

smaller around the edges, abouuuut 5/8ths of an inch from the edge, and then I placed

it on the back of the hoop, and I hand-sewed the edges to the first piece of fabric, but

I did this a bit more neatly this time.

I'm… still not that great at hand-stitching, as you can see… and I did kind of rush this

one... but that doesn't matter.

Because you can't see the back of the embroidery hoop once it's hanging up anyway.

To hang up the hoops, I got a piece of twine and I threaded it through the top of the hoop,

and then I tied a little bow, and then I put it on a hook on the wall!

I'm currently making a little section of embroidery-art and photos on the wall in my

stairwell, and these are all the other hoops that I've added to it so far!

This daisy one here was made with fabric from an old pair of black jeans, and I did this

cute daisy stitch on them – I showed you all how to do this stitch back in Style Pile

episode 17!

This daisy stitch is useful for covering large amounts of fabric really quickly.

I've also made this little guy, also using that scrap jeans fabric...

Luci requested that I make this one for him, because one of his favourite animals are frogs.

I made this rabbit one with a checkered fabric leftover from Style Pile episode 14 – now

after this experience, I don't recommend using fabric with stripes or checks for hoop

art because it's REALLY hard to get it to sit in a frame without the fabric going all

wobbly and wonky!

I might end up cutting this one out and making it into a patch instead!

And the most recent one that I've made is this floral pattern, that I traced out of

a Japanese Embroidery Pattern book, on that same cream scrap fabric as the tree pendant.

The outlines are done using a split stitch, and the flowers are all French Knots!

And I'll put links for all of these stitches in the description, so you can all learn how

to do them too.

So I'm going to keep adding more embroidery art to this wall, because I've recently

fallen back in love with embroidery and have been practicing it, like, everyday!

So, get ready to see some more embroidery videos pop up on my channel too, because I'm

currently obsessed.

Thanks for watching, stay tuned for part 4 of this scrap-busting mini-series, and I'll

see you all next time.

Cannabis use doubles in the U K Thousands are now using it for anxiety, epilepsy, pain control - Duration: 4:43.

Cannabis use doubles in the U.K. Thousands are now using it for anxiety, epilepsy, pain

control

by: Vicki Batts

Medical marijuana use seems to be on the rise around the world.

While there is no shortage of controversy when it comes to the medicinal value of cannabis,

the number of people turning to this plant medicine for relief continues to grow especially

in the United Kingdom.

Across the pond, some 250,000 people are using cannabis oil to treat what ails them.

And if that figure isnt impressive enough, trade regulatory group Cannabis Trades Association

UK says that the number of cannabis oil users has doubled in the span of just a single year.

In the UK, both England and Wales legalized the sale of CBD oil last fall after conceding

that the plant did offer restoring, correcting or modifying effects.

While a license is necessary for retailers looking to sell CBD oil as a medicine, those

who offer it as a food supplement are able to skirt around the rules and circumvent

the arduous licensing process.

While the debate over the cannabis plants medicinal benefits continues to rage on, its

clear that CBD oil is an increasingly hot commodity.

CBD oil popularity soars

The trade association says that around this time last year, their figures showed there

were around 125,000 cannabis oil users in the UK.

Now, Cannabis Trades Association UK (CTA UK) reports, theres an average of approximately

1,000 new cannabis oil users every month.

Patients are turning to cannabis oil for a variety of different conditions; whether it

be seizure disorders like Dravet syndrome or epilepsy, chronic pain, anxiety or depression,

people are looking for a more natural form of medicine.

And clearly, cannabis oil must be fitting the bill.

Estimates from CTA UK suggest that approximately 65 percent of CBD oil users are women looking

to relieve pain, anxiety or depression.

CBD oil, or cannabidiol, does not contain THC, which is the cannabinoid compound in

marijuana that produces the infamous high. CBD and THC are two of the plants most

widely recognized compounds, but there are actually over one hundred cannabinoids found

in cannabis.

CBD is now often regarded as cannabiss medicinal compound.

In addition to being known for its lack of side effects, CBD is revered for its influence

on serotonin and dopamine release and reception.

Its surge in popularity overseas is no surprise: The government did make purchasing this plant

medicine legal last year.

Sadly, the United States continues to lag behind.

Plant medicine still illegal in U.S., despite clear benefits

In the U.S., plant medicines like CBD oil (or just cannabis in general) remain highly

illegal, at least at the federal level.

Research has consistently shown that many different maladies can be helped with cannabis

including the scourge of the nation, opioid addiction.

Indeed, research has indicated that the medicinal use of cannabis can help prevent and treat

addictions to Big Pharmas most deadly cocktails.

Naturally, the pharmaceutical industry has played a primary role in keeping cannabis

illegal.

In spite of the federal governments reluctance, many states have taken matters into their

own hands, legalizing cannabis for medicinal or recreational purposes (or both).

In 2014, it was reported that over the course of just eight months, over 100 families had

moved to Colorado, just so they could obtain legal cannabis treatment for their sick children.

While the number of people turning to cannabis for medicinal reasons continues to grow, the

US governments failure to meaningfully address the issue of cannabis legalization

is shameful.

Tomi Lahren Celebrates Thanksgiving With an Assault on Colin Kaepernick - Duration: 1:33.

For Complex News, I'm Hanuman Welch,

On Thanksgiving, Tomi Lahren shared a "food for thought" tweet that included an image

of Colin Kaepernick digitally inserted into a photo of D-Day.

Kaepernick was kneeling to illustrate her point, incorrectly, again that what he's

been doing is unpatriotic and disrespectful to the American flag.

What it's actually about is public figures using their platform to address police brutality

and the prison industrial complex in the US.

Lahren,a crackerbarell-scented yankee-candle brought to life by a confederate flag, couldn't

have shared this at a worst time.

Kaep was just named Citizen of the Year, by GQ for his activism amid the ongoing national

anthem protests

Twitter felt strongly about her attempt of putting down Kaepernick and dealt with Lahren

accordingly:

Lahren went viral last year for her "Final Thoughts" segment on The Blaze when she

vehemently condemned Kaepernick for his message.

"What's your contribution?

Sitting there like a fool?

What's selfish is you, buddy.

And what's your message to black kids, to people of color?

That their biggest contribution to justice and self-fulfillment is to parade around with

a chip on their shoulder like a victim?

Colin, how dare you sit there and blame white people for the problems in the minority communities?

After all, aren't you half white?

Didn't two white parents adopt you after yours weren't willing to raise you?

For a racist and horrible country filled with racist and horrible white people, that's

really something, isn't it?"

Lahren is part of the new class of grifter media personalities, regularly mining whatever

perceived conservative grievance is making the rounds that day and slapping it on a t-shirt

that'll run you thirty bucks after shipping.

That's all for now, for everything else subscribe to Complex on YouTube, for Complex News, I'm

Fall details 🍂♡ - Sweater Weather TAG | Ariana mvl - Duration: 8:43.

Hi YouTube !

Today we're here for...

a Black Friday Haul !

And that's what I would have said if I wasn't broke, obviously.

Since like I love fall, I thought: Why not do a "thematic" video.

So it's a TAG that I found on Pinterest.

To be honest it's called "Sweater Weather TAG".

To be honest it's called "Sweater Weather TAG".

But I thought that for french it would be easier to just call it "fall TAG".

Of course you can find all this TAG's questions on the info bar.

Let's jump to the video !

Question nº1:

Favorite fall scent.

I don't have any in particular that I prefer.

If I must talk about a typical fall scent I would say..

you know the fallen leafs, when it rains,

there's a particular smell that emerges.

There's also pine cone, how it smells with rain and humidity.

But truth is there's a candle that I light up a lot at my place recently.

It's this one !

I love to have all sorts of scents at my place,

I even use more incense than candles.

But this one was a gift from Chacha

from En Mode Gonzesse channel.

And at the moment it really is

MY candle.

So this one's called "By the Fire"

from "Yankee Candle".

By the way is the only one I own but

I truly understand the hype around this brand and this candles.

Second question:

Coffee, tea ou hot chocolate ?

Well, to me there's nothing to think about.

I love hot chocolate, I hate coffee and tea.

So you have your answer.

Question nº3:

What's the best fall memory you have ?

I don't have any memories that I know for sure

they were on fall season.

But I love to go out with my little boy Liam

and that he jumps around and is so happy about cracking all the fallen leaves.

By the way you can have a sneak peek in the lookbook

that is right here.

Which makeup trend do you prefer:

winged eye liner or dark lips ?

I'm a huge fan of lipstick

specially dark ones.

Besides the fact that I'm so bad with eye liner.

Not that I don't like it, but I'm really the worst.

But to be honest even if I was capable to do a great winged eye liner,

dark lipsticks, that's..

it's above everything !

Best fragrance for fall ?

I'm not someone that wears much perfume.

Even tho I wear more lately,

I mean.. more frequently.

But because of that I don't own many perfumes.

But at the moment that's the one that I always wear.

To be really honest I got it at Christmas, a long time ago !

And it's still here,

so you can see how much I don't wear perfume,

Or I didn't so.

But it really is my scent of the moment.

Just not specially for fall.

I'm not that concerned by the sixth question

because since like it's an american TAG, this question's about Thanksgiving.

But the question is:

Favorite Thanksgiving food ?

I don't really know very well Thanksgiving foods...

But I know main dish is a good turkey.

And I adore turkey so let's say that that's the one,

even tho I answered quite randomly.

Question nº7:

What is autumn weather like where you live ?

Let's see...

Right now it's 9ºC outside.

Even if today it feels quite better and we don't feel the cold that much,

I must say these last days it rained and even today the ground is still wet.

It's quite cold lately.

But I live really in the north of France so

what else to expect ?

Question nº8:

Most worn sweater ?

I think I don't have any in particular that I wear more than the others.

But I still have a few ones that I wear a lot lately.

As you can see.

Question nº9:

Must have nail polish this fall ?

I really want to say, like every year,

the burgundy shades.

I won't show you a close up 'cause

I may not be great with makeup,

but with nail polish is even worse !

Question nº10 is once again very american:

Football games

- I think we're talking about american football -

or jumping in leaf piles ?

Definitely jumping in leaf piles

it's way better than football games to me.

But that's personal.

Question nº11:

Skinny jeans or leggings ?

Normally I would say skinny jeans...

But right now, with my big belly,

it's most of all leggings.

But non pregnant it really is skinny jeans,

even if I've nothing against leggings.

I wear them quite a lot.

Question nº12:

So here we have a choice between two pairs of shoes:

they ask which do we prefer

between "combat boots",

I think it's like kind of military style or Dr. Martens

and styles like that..

or "Uggs" ?

Impossible for me to choose !

Furthermore I wear them both

all the time lately.

Honestly I almost only wear boots this last days !

Impossible to make a choice...

Both !

And there are only three more questions left.

The thirteenth one:

Is pumpkin spice

Is pumpkin spice

worth the hype ?

worth the hype ?

So basically

is pumpkin spice that good ?

Personally I never really tasted them, so I can't give you an answer.

I must taste them, one day. After all why not ?

Fourteenth question:

Favorite fall tv show ?

There's nothing that comes up to my mind around fall thematic.

So I'll just tell you what I like to watch at the moment

and generally speaking.

For example I like to watch "Les Reines du Dressing"

mostly because it's all about clothes !

Otherwise I also like to watch calm movies, relax

with a blanket, in a comfy outfit or pajamas,

with a hot chocolate.

And finally:

What song really gets you into the fall spirit ?

I can't think about a music that gets me into fall mood.

But there's a song, even if I hear it all year long,

that really has a soft melody.

It's quite sad

but I really enjoy this song.

It's "Moscas en la Casa" by Shakira.

She was probably around 17 / 19 years old when she released it,

so it's quite old.

But I'm a big fan of various of her young years music

and this one is one of my favorite ones. It really relaxes me !

It's sad, but relaxing !

It's now the end of the TAG.

Last week there wasn't a video, once again...

And yes, I do my best but...

Whether I'm not motivated enough or I'm way too exhausted.

Or else there are some obstacles

and last week it was quite an adventure

with the video that I filmed all week long.

Because I really filmed all along the week

and my computer decided to just make it disappear.

But I already told it my InstaStories,

I don't want to talk about it again so I don't get annoyed.

Well...

See you very very soon, I promise !

Many kisses to you.

Bye bye !

I almost forgot !

If you enjoyed the video, don't forget to leave me a like.

You can also leave a comment,

as well as answer to some of the TAG questions if you want too.

And last but not least, don't forget so subscribe

if you aren't yet !

See you soon !

Willow Smith Explains Why Growing Up Famous Is 'Excruciatingly Terrible' - Duration: 1:35.

Hey guys for Complex News, I'm Natasha Martinez.

Willow Smith has spent most of her life in the spotlight and while her family's fame

and wealth gave the 17-year-old some big opportunities, Willow insists growing up famous has been

extremely difficult.

During an interview with Girlgaze Willow said,

"Growing up and trying to figure out your life … while people feel like they have

some sort of entitlement to know what's going on, is absolutely, excruciatingly terrible—and

the only way to get over it, is to go into it.

You can't change your face.

You can't change your parents.

You can't change any of those things."

Willow went on to say that social media has made the struggles of childhood hollywood

fame worse.

"I feel like most kids like me end up going down a spiral of depression, and the world

is sitting there looking at them through their phones, laughing and making jokes and making

memes at the crippling effect that this lifestyle has on the psyche.

When you're born into it, there are two choices that you have: I'm either going

to try to go into it completely and help from the inside, or no one is going to know where

I am and I'm really going to take myself completely out of the eye of society.

There's really no in-between."

Even though her parents fame has resulted in her lack of privacy and other hardships,

Willow has praised her mom and dad for raising her in the most normal way that they could.

Back in 2016 in an interview with Pharrell, Willow shared that her parents set a good

example.

Willow released her sophomore album The 1st in October.

In a tweet to launch the album Willow described it as the emotional regurgitation from the

depths of a burgeoning woman.
