Lucky draw ticketing for N. Korea's Samjiyon Orchestra performance opens on friday - Duration: 1:59.

North Korea's Samjiyon Orchestra is ready to dazzle us with their pre-olympic performance

held in the South.

Due to the economic sanctions imposed on the regime, the show is free.

But luck comes into play if you want a seat.

Seoul's unification ministry announced tickets will be given out through a lucky draw.

Lee Jeong-yeon explains how the system works.

Those hoping to get a rare glimpse of North Korea's Samjiyon Orchestra performances better

bring their A-games to ticket applications, as the Unification Ministry announced on Thursday

that applications are to open on Friday.

"A total of 1-thousand-60 tickets will be given out for free through online lottery...560

for the performance in Gangneung, and 500 for the one in Seoul.

Social minorities as well as industry officials will also be invited."

Contenders can visit ticket-dot-interpark-dot-com to apply.

Ticketing opens on Friday noon for 24 hours.

The winners, chosen at random in each age group, will be announced on February 6th through

the website and notified via individual texts.

Each winner gets two tickets to the event.

The performances will take place on the 8th at Gangneung Art Center and on the 11th at

the National Theater of Korea in Seoul.

Foreigners residing in South Korea with a registration number are also eligible to apply.

Around 1,100 social minorities, as well as separated families and internally displaced

persons will also be invited to the shows.

Answering to reporters' questions at the briefing on Thursday, the unification ministry spokesperson

said that the specifics of the program are still under discussion, and that the North

Korean performers coming to South Korea will not be paid for their performances.

Some 140 North Korean artists are to make their way to South Korea over two days, on

the 5th and 6th, and will make their way back to North Korea on the 12th after their performance

How To Turn Viewers Into Subscribers On YouTube - Duration: 4:40.

Are you getting a lot of views on your YouTube videos but they're not turning

into subscribers? How can you convert more of your audience into subscribers

of your channe? In this video you'll learn 7 ways to turn viewers into

subscribers on YouTube. Hello my name is Herman Drost from drostdesigns.com if

you want to learn how to grow your audience on YouTube and generate traffic

leads and sales on autopilot hit the subscribe button then click the bell

icon so you won't miss any future videos let's think about the path a viewer

takes to become a subscriber most viewers will find your videos based upon

the information they search for in the search engines alternatively YouTube may

have suggested your videos to appear on their channel based upon their viewing

experience when they first see your video or arrive at your channel they may

not subscribe right away however if they watch more of your content they'll be

more inclined to subscribe. Here are 7 ways to convert viewers into subscribers

on YouTube no.1 make a good impression the majority of your subscribers come

from your YouTube channel homepage therefore the branding of your channel

and thumbnails is very important for example your channel banner should state

clearly what your channel is all about create a custom trailer video that

explains why people should subscribe to your channel the branding of your

thumbnails should be congruent with the art on your channel homepage so when

someone sees your thumbnail on the net they'll be able to associate it with

your channel . Number 2. Create relevant content make sure you know the wants

needs desires and problems of your target audience you'll then be able to

create relevant content for them if they click on your thumbnail but your video

doesn't contain the content that they expected then they won't become a

subscriber your content should be congruent from the thumbnail to the

title the video description and tags Number 3. Go deeper most first-time

visitors are not aware that they should become a subscriber how can you get them

to watch more than one video? A great way to offer more content is to create a

series of videos that goes more deeper into a topic that they expected you can

then add these series of videos to a playlist and promote the playlist as

well as your own video add these playlists to the sections on your

channel homepage link to them during the course of your video. Number 4. Make it

to subscribe use the YouTube subscribe features to make it easy for viewers to

become subscribers for example add a subscribe watermark across all the

videos on your channel click the link in the card to learn how to do it add

subscribe links to your about page in your description and also in your end

screens you can also create a custom pop-up subscribe link and add that to

your website and social media channels click the card icon to learn how to do

it also ask viewers to subscribe at the beginning and end of your video don't

just tell them to subscribe but give them the main benefits of subscribing to

your channel. Number 5. Repeat what's working click on the subscribe button

in YouTube analytics to identify the top videos that are attracting the most

subscribers also identify the videos that are getting the highest audience

retention these are the videos on your channel that are getting the most

engagement create similar videos to your top performing ones because you know

these ones are already attracting subscribers consider linking to these

videos and your cards and end screens because you know they are performing well

Number 6 Interact with your viewers YouTube is a social platform where you

can build a community of like-minded people encourage community building by

replying to viewers comments interact with them on other social media

platforms invite them to subscribe to your email list. Number 7. Be consistent

if a viewer becomes an active subscriber of your channel they probably want to

consume more of your content therefore make sure you stick to a consistent

schedule of publishing new videos every week display that schedule on your

channel banner mention it in your videos add it to your description. Now you know

7 ways to turn viewers into subscribers on YouTube if you want to learn how to

grow a community of loyal fans on YouTube click the card icon let me ask

you an important question what strategies do you use to convert viewers

into subscribers on your channel? Post your answers in the comments below I'd

love to read them and I'm sure others would too. Click the card icon to

download my youtube channel evaluation worksheet you'll receive a step-by-step

checklist that will help you evaluate your own youtube channel you'll also get

links to specific youtube tutorials to show you how to make the necessary

improvements if you want to learn how to grow your audience on YouTube and

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - S02E30 - Episode Review - Duration: 5:31.

Welcome to Ranger Reviews, a webseries where we look at episodes of the tv show, Power

Rangers and then discuss it!

Today, we're exploring the ninetieth episode of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as well as

the thirtieth episode of Season 2, titled "Mirror of Regret".

At the Youth Center, Adam and Rocky are teaching children some basic katas, and as it turns

out, there's a big kid picking on a smaller kid.

Adam tells them to lighten up, but honestly, like, why did it take more a second for you

guys to speak up about this kid getting bullied?

Apparently this kid's name is Shawn, and Adam talks to him, saying he used to be the

weakest kid in his class too, but he got better.

All you have to do is believe in yourself.

I guess.

Zedd sees that Adam has a crappy past, and his plot is to show Adam things from his past

to defeat his self confidence.

Are we seriously having another Adam episode so soon?

Whatever, he's now doing some one-on-one tutoring with Shawn, and Aisha and Rocky are

in the Youth Center, cheering them on.

Then, Shawn falls over.

Adam says he needs to remain confident before Bulk and Skull come in, showing that they're

once again learning karate, but they're terrible.

I mean, Adam, they believe in themselves, so how come they're not amazing?

Aisha and Rocky are meeting with the others at the basketball court and leave as Bulk

and Skull hit each other, falling over.

Adam and Shawn leave to the park to get some more space to practice.

On the moon, Zedd says he's going to use the mirror of regret to show Adam some crappy

things, but it doesn't matter, Adam and Shawn are walking through the park.

We get some backstory on Adam here.

He used to be really down on himself and get bullied, and while it didn't make him taller,

it gave him self confidence to learn karate, which is kind of nice.

I always assumed that every Ranger thus far was just born with a black belt.

They do some practice in the park, and Shawn is getting slowly better at this whole karate

thing in slow motion.

Alpha is in the Command Center getting stoked about finishing a new weapon: the Power Cannon.

That's legitimately it for this scene.

Goldar is now being sent down by Zedd with putties to fight Adam.

Goldar shows up behind Adam with the putties, and they attack Adam, and once again, we get

Adam being fantastic at fighting.

Man, he's cool.

Then, Goldar makes a bunch of smoke come out of nowhere that does nothing before Goldar

holds up a giant mirror in front of Adam, and he sees himself being picked last for

soccer as a kid?

I guess?

The putties grab him and force him to watch himself as a child in literally this same

park, being laughed at.

Zedd is pleased with this, and he says he needs a monster that will laugh at its victims.

Bulk and Skull are still practicing, and Ernie shakes his head, asking Shawn to show off

some of his moves, leaving his homework behind to do so.

Bulk and Skull say that they may need to practice outside, too, so they can get better at karate,

too, leaving.

Nice to see them not bullying a child for once.

Zedd zaps the homework because there's a picture of a hyena in there, creating the

Skelerena, which is kind of disturbing as it runs around the forest.

Zordon asks Alpha about the status of the Power Cannon when the alarms go off, letting

them know that the monster is out there, and Zordon apparently also knows about Adam being

forced to watch some bad home videos of himself.

Turns out, the other five are being contacted to come in and handle the monster without

Adam.

There's a really nice moment here where all five teleport in at different spots in

the Command Center.

They get caught up on everything, and Zordon says that Adam's spell can only be broken

by him, so time to handle that monster, I guess.

It's morphin time, Tommy says, as he just steps in front of Aisha.

They fight putties while Skelerena runs around off screen in Japan, laughing at them.

Yellow and Pink get tossed over a hill because, women, before they just defeat a putty together.

Also, Billy is getting taken for a freakin' ride against a putty.

Why are these so freakin' hard out of nowhere?

Just kidding, they're all dead now.

Zordon says that the Rangers need help without Adam there, so Alpha prepares to send the

Power Cannon.

Meanwhile, Goldar is showing Adam scenes of Shawn doing well now on accident because he

tries to show how that kid didn't get better because of him, but he did, so that… gives

Adam self confidence again?

Then, Adam defeats them quickly before he talks to Zordon, morphing out of there.

Black Ranger joins the others when Skelerena just jumps and falls over for absolutely no

reason.

Then they call out the Power Cannon, then they put in big balls into the device, firing

it, and killing Skelerena.

Are we not going to talk about how this cannon is giant dragon thing?

Zedd is almost mad that the plan failed before he calls in Goldar to scream at him for failing

with the mirror, and he laments over this failure for like 3 minutes.

Shawn shows how much he's improved to his class while Adam, Rocky, and randomly, Tommy,

clap along.

The bully compliments him on improving, and they make up.

We can't end this episode without Bulk and Skull coming in to act afool though!

They show off how much karate they don't know before getting dizzy and falling onto

the ground because honestly, who cares.

The end.

This is actually a really great episode by Season 2 standards.

Back-to-back Adam episodes is weird, but I really don't mind because it's made Adam

feel like a real character now.

He's the one who was bullied a kid who grew up to be a bit more confident, but he still

struggles with shyness sometimes, like in last episode.

Also, he's an amazing fighter.

Just saying.

The only weird part of this episode is that I feel like every other Ranger is almost nonexistent

throughout it.

Seriously, this was like a 30 minute filming for the others.

How will next time go?

Until then, may the power protect you!

My first World Chess Championship | Vlog #1 - Duration: 9:51.

We're waiting our transfer for lunch and here in Tarvisio there's snow.

I don't know if you can see all the snow there is here.

Incredible!

I'm in my hotel, in one of the halls, but I think I'll go outside because there's some background noise

outside.

I want to show you some snow and to talk about the tournament.

Here I am.

Nice, uh?

I'd like to introduce to you some players.

I'm not bothering you with details because you can read them online, but

there's Awonder Liang, one of the youngest

Grand Masters in the world and he's 14, then there's the young Indian Praggnanandhaa, over 2500

We've had some nice weather for the moment.

I hope it all goes well and that there won't be much snow.

Maybe I should show you the landscape I can see from here.

Back to the hotel!

First things first. We have our mornings off and OBVIOUSLY

we're currently in Austria, obviously.

Obviously.

Obviously.

The main sightseeing in Austria is the mall we are in right now.

I could sing some Christmas songs like "Jingle Bells".

In the middle of November...

There's a reason behind this, there are Christmas decorations everywhere, I don't know if you can see the tree behind me

Do you think we can sit there?

Ask the lady.

Let's go buy a suit for Romualdo.

Playing hall.

These are the electronic boards.

The round has just finished and games between arbiters have just started.

I've just finished interviewing Vladimir Potkin, I'm really happy.

Of course you're in the future, so you can watch this interview by clicking

on the card right above me.

We are at dinner and you can see this total crazyness and these people

- Erfan!

Say "hi" to the camera!

Shall I do like this?

I absolutely must record this moment, since I have my Chess Society t-shirt

and there's also reggae music in the playing hall.

I'm working, as usual - Hi everyone!

Let's record Nadia, since she has just done her hair, before it's too late

C'mon, he won't show anything!

Nadia is dancing on lounge music.

Where is he?

Tell me.

You can't take a selfie without me.

Oh ok, sure!

I was worried, I thought you were saying I couldn't take selfies at all!

Are you recording?

Yes.

I mean can I talk freely?

Yes.

Holy cr- Censored!

Fu- program! Hi, patatone!

Hi!

Are you recording?

Patatone!

Wait, how can I see myself?

Stretch your arm and look there.

But you have to see what happens!

We talk and then "ha capito", third person.

"Ho capito" "Abbiamo capito"

Now you're in big trouble because FIDE can see this video

I apologize

Chiedo scusa.

Try to look super professional and serious

Would you like to say something in Japanese?

*I have no idea what she's saying*

Jamie, Takis is not here.

Can you do the flight attendant?

At the front, on the sides and at the back.

In case of emergency, please exit here, to the side

very quickly.

Now it's surely recording, we can't mess up.

What whas that song that the three girls were singing in the car?

What a beautiful landscape!

Welcome to Austria!

There it is!

No, 200 meters left.

From here on, they speak German, very well.

Look at those mountains!

The worst thing is I have to watch all these clips.

You'll spend hours watching all this BS

It's incredible that these guys have a bycicle lane and nobody rides it with a motorcycle!

It's unbelievable!

Guys, watch out because Leo is really weak while driving

There's an expression that drives him nuts and I'm not joking - NO!

Not now!

Let's recap the best quotes of Ezio.

Come closer!

- No, no!

C'mon Ezio!

You should hold the camera then.

We're back in Austria, but we've brought more people this time.

This Christmas market wasn't here last time.

I want Mozart balls!

I've bought cigarettes for Olexander, they were 9€ and he gave me 20.

Awesome!

I should buy him cigarettes too!

Even if I have to go by walk freezing!

Does "Müller" mean "carpenter"?

*Italian Joke*

No, I said "carpenter"!

You have to know that Leo is super bossy, so we're actually here to buy...

When I go shopping I usually go in, buy, out and back home.

I'm not going around...

Here we are!

How is the tournament going so far?

Tell us about it.

Ezio, apart from sudden changes in tension...

You see in the mountains there are dykes, so...

What's the typical fruit?

The fruit we've mentioned the most.

Closing ceremony, lots of people here.

Without tripods, vlogging at random.

Look how many people!

I was a happy person, look at my circles around my eyes!

It's going to end soon, it's going to end soon.

Some authorities here.

We're going to start the closing ceremony soon and, of course, who are we waiting for?

Arbiters, say "hi"!

I was editing the interview I did to Zhansaya Abdumalik, of course since you're in the future

you can watch it by clicking here, and they told me we had to go

to the playing hall to sort the last things, so I got up and from the window behind me

I saw this.

I don't know if you can recognize this thing behind me, it's the playing hall.

It's a little bit different because we cleared everything out and we're ready to leave

so this is the last time I'll ever see this hall until ...

I'll miss this place.

A special thanks to Fideacademy for this wonderful experience.

Party Pandas Birthday Card - Duration: 5:52.

hi thanks for joining me this is angie at chicnscratch this is the card

we're making today isn't it cute okay this is actually a card that I made

for a swap that I was in so here are the supplies we've got basic black cardstock

that measures eight and a half by five and a half I've gone ahead and scored it

at four and a quarter the inside of the card is whisper white that's five and a

quarter by four I've got a piece of whisper white to cut out our two and a

quarter circle and our greeting right here then this whisper white right here

is this layer here and that measures three and a quarter by four and a

quarter and then basic black for this scalloped circle and then your designer

series paper you have two choices so when I was making these cards for a swap

I needed to make sure I had enough for all of them so I found two patterns that

were acceptable I used both of them so this one is the tutti fruiti designer

series paper stack and that's this one and then this one is the petal passion

so both of these are in the occasions catalog but they both work and they

measure three by two and a quarter okay so let's go ahead and make this

card that was a lot of talking there I'm gonna go ahead and add this inside piece

before I mess up and use it for something

okay so just place it right in here now this piece right here is going to get

the designer series paper I'm gonna go ahead and use the tutti fruiti I just

love that whole entire suite so that's going to go down here at the bottom okay

we can go ahead and add this layer to the card front

now I toyed with using dimensionals on this layer but then decided not to since

i use dimensionals on the panda so you're just going to place this layer

right in the center

okay now this is our whisper white piece so we'll get our stamp and done we're

using momento okay so the stamp set is party pandas and I've shown you a few

projects already using it I absolutely adore it and we're using the little

birthday dude here so we're just gonna stamp them in memento ink I did not

color in his hat oh I need to stop talking and do a

better job of inking him up right okay and then I'm gonna take the ink it again

and stamp the happy birthday and I think I actually grabbed my memento ink pad

that needs re inking okay we're gonna take the two and a quarter circle punch

and cut him out I'm going to be using this one for my downlines

anniversary cards for February so if any of you are watching I'm gonna change up

the paper though so it still it will still be a surprise so classic label

punch and now let's get the Big Shot out real quick and we'll cut out our

scalloped circle big shot I had a pot forming cutting pad

okay so now you can add him right in the middle we're gonna take the black

Baker's twine I'm just gonna make a little bow

that looks pretty good so we'll trim the ends nail fit okay so now I'm going to

get a glue dot and I want to use my paper piercer because I want to make the

glue dot a little bit smaller and I'm gonna place the glue dot right on the

Panda and then place my bow on there cute isn't it so well we've got the

paper piercer in our hand we can go ahead and get a get our rhinestones okay

so now for the greeting we're just going to turn it over and put some snail

adhesive on it we're going to add it down here to the bottom and now I add

the rhinestones you can use dimensionals if you want to but I decided that this

time I didn't and now this one we're going to add with dimensionals

okay so here's the one we just made here's the original cute aren't they

have a great day thanks a lot bye

Demolishing The Memory Wall (+ What is Optane, NVME,...) - Duration: 10:22.

Hi, thanks for tuning into Singularity

Prosperity. This video is the fifth in a

multi-part series discussing computing.

In this video, we'll be discussing the

gap between competing performance and

memory and how this 'memory wall'

is to be the demolished.

[Music]

While computer performance and memory

capacity have followed the trend of Moore's

Law, memory access time, in other words,

latency, has not, only increasing by

approximately 1.1 times per year. While

at first the difference between an

exponential with a 2x versus 1.1x

rate of growth is not

distinguishable, as time progresses it

becomes more and more apparent, in terms

of the memory gap this is equivalent to

a 50% increase in the gap per year. We

are now at a point where this gap is now

large enough to cause severe bottlenecks

in applications. For example, for machine

learning in terms of genomics, financial

and scientific research, 80 to 90 percent

of the time is just spent accessing

memory while the other 10 to 20 percent

is spent doing the computation itself.

This really exemplifies how important

memory and storage is, a computer can only

process data as fast as its memory can

be accessed. Now there are a variety of

memory devices that computers use today,

with each device storing certain

types of information and having their

own trade-offs based off performance,

capacity and cost. The most expensive,

best performance memory is found on the

die of a CPU core itself, the registers. The

registers essentially just store the

data that the CPU is using to compute

its current instruction. Moving outward

we are met with static random-access

memory, SRAM, more commonly referred to as

the CPU cache. There are multiple levels

usually two to three, each growing in

capacity but decreasing in performance

as we move further away from the

registers, and they store the data that

the CPU will need to use soon or has

been using a lot of recently. The SRAM

and registers on a CPU are fixed in size

due to space, the processors job as well,

to process data not store it. Going off

chip there's DRAM, NAND solid-state drives

and then mechanical hard drives, each

many orders of magnitude slower than

on-chip memory implementations: Today

there are three primary technologies

used to store and access data. First

there's DRAM memory, which serves as hot

storage for the most frequently accessed

data. DRAM is incredibly fast but also

expensive, especially at large capacities.

For cold data there are hard drives,

which are orders of magnitude slower

than DRAM but very cheap and high

capacity, and that's why the bulk of our

data is stored there. In the warm tier

there are NAND SSDs, which are much

faster than hard drives but cheaper than

DRAM.

So, when viewing memory types in this

pyramid structure, the processor

registers are at the very top point and

SRAM takes up the other top 1% of the

pyramid. To summarize, SRAM and DRAM are

hot memory types, the most expensive but

also the fastest. They are volatile

meaning when power is unplugged, all data

is essentially lost and they are also

fairly fixed in their amount of storage

capacity. Moving down to warm storage

types we get NAND, in other words, SSDs.

This technology is beginning to

mature with 3D NAND, allowing for

rapid increases in non-volatile storage,

in other words, it's suitable for storing

long term information and now due to

their increasing capacity are able to

compete with mechanical hard drives.

However, they are many orders of

magnitude slower than the speed the

processor runs at and DRAM. At cold

storage we have standard mechanical hard

drives, these have the most non-volatile

storage but are extremely slow, really

making them suitable only for backups or

long-term storage on a budget. This is

how computer memory has been for quite

some time, but now Intel and Microns new

X-Point technology is coming in to

change the game. X-Point allows for

memory devices that are much faster than

NAND, have more storage capacity than

DRAM and are non-volatile, essentially

bridging the gap between DIMMs and

SSDs: To make 3D X-Point memory

dense we packed lots of capacity into a

tiny footprint. We started by slicing

submicroscopic layers of materials into

columns, each containing a memory cell

and selector. Then we connected those

columns using an innovative crosspoint

structure consisting of perpendicular

wires, that enables memory cells to be

individually addressed by selecting one

wire on top and another at the bottom. We

can stack these memory grids three

dimensionally to maximize density. This

technology along with 3D NAND will

completely change the way the storage

pyramid is organized: 3D X-Point

technology is about to completely

rewrite the rules governing the hot, warm,

cold storage pyramid. Why? Because it's

nearly as fast as DRAM while its cost is

much closer to NAND SSDs. Intel is

designing both DIMM and SSD solutions

with 3D X-Point technology. Intel DIMMs

based on 3D X-Point technology will

enable you to greatly expand your

high-performance hot storage capacity,

without breaking the bank,

unleashing new levels of performance and

responsiveness for the apps and services

that power your business. Intel

Optane SSDs based on 3D X-Point

technology and other Intel storage

innovations will enable much faster warm

storage, plus Intel has already

introduced 3D NAND technology into SSDs,

boosting density and increasing the

capacity of those drives. These new Intel

SSD technologies can expand warm storage

capacity with excellent performance and

cost. So, with multiple different memory

types and new memory technologies breaking

current memory paradigms, we can

begin interfacing multiple memory

technologies together to increase

performance, this is referred to as a

memory pool: The OS and your applications

run as is, without modification, with full

access to the extended memory pool.

Memory capacity associated with each

processor scales by up to 8x or 12

terabytes for a single processor. The

software also intelligently determines

where data should be located in the pool

to maximize performance, in select

workloads the software can enable

servers to deliver near DRAM only

performance even with DRAM supplying

only 1/10 of the overall memory pool

capacity. This combination of increased

capacity and cost efficiency means you

can use Intel memory drive technology to

displace a portion of DRAM to reduce

overall memory costs. Or extend the

memory pool capacity beyond DRAM

limitations when greater system memory

is required. Including Intel's memory

drive technology to pool various types

of memory, each memory type is now also

beginning to incorporate smart caching

and fetching assisted by AI. These

software optimizations will have huge

impacts on the performance of computer

memory. We touched upon these principles

heavily in previous videos in this

series, new hardware devices to break

current paradigms as well as increased

software optimization to leverage the

hardware resources. There are various

other memory hardware and software

optimizations beyond the scope of this

video we haven't even touched, such as

DDR5 and virtual memory to increase

memory bandwidth and decreased latency,

there are many amazing creators on this

platform and resources online if you wish to

learn more. While in the previous section

we discussed the types of memory devices

as well as new hardware and software

technologies to increase memory

bandwidth and decrease latency, we didn't

discuss another huge bottleneck, data

transfer. SRAM has transfer speeds in thr

range of hundreds of gigabytes per

second and DDR4 DRAM in the range of 50

to 70 gigabytes per second, however, as

mentioned previously, these are expensive,

volatile, fixed capacity memory sources.

For non-volatile memory, there are two

standards for data transfer: 1) The Advanced

Host Controller Interface, AHCI, which

uses the Serial Advanced Technology

Attachment, SATA, and 2) Non-Volatile Memory

Express, NVME, which uses the Peripheral

Component Interconnect Express, PCIe, to

transfer data. now SATA and PCIe are the

physical hardware mediums used to

transfer data in the computer. SATA has

been used for the majority of the 2000s

for memory devices, with transfer rates

tapping out at 600 megabytes per second,

it's medium is a cable. PCIe is connected

directly to the CPU through a socket on

the motherboard, for much of its lifetime

it has primarily been used for graphics

cards. PCIe 1.0 had transfer rates of

250 megabytes per second, followed by 2.0

with 500 megabytes per second and now

our current generation, 3.0, with one

gigabyte per second.

As a sidenote, PCIe 4.0 is expected next

year, with transfer rates of two

gigabytes per second and 5.0 by 2021

with rates of 4 gigabytes per second. Now

with SATA tapping out in transfer rates,

PCIe has been the new direction the

industry has been leaning towards, with

NVME protocol standards in development

since 2012. AHCI was a great standard

for old mechanical hard drives to

transfer data, it could handle 1 data

queue at a time, which was fine given how

slow mechanical hard drives are, but with

SSDs AHCI severely bottlenecks

performance. NVME however can handle

65,000 queues at a time, extremely

parallel due to the utilization of the

wider bandwidth of PCIe lanes and PCIe's

direct connection to a CPU. NVME is

able to truly unleash the performance of

SSDs, yielding six times performance

boosts over SATA, essentially meaning

SATA and AHCI are dead. The high speed,

low latency transfer rates that NVME

brings unlike with SATA isn't going to

capped anytime soon, due to evolving PCIe

and NVME standards. There are also various

PCIe slots on a computer: 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x,

with each multiple adding

additional bandwidth. For example, an 8x

PCIe 3.0 port could transfer 8 gigabytes

per second. So, with multiple types of

memory, new memory types breaking current

defined memory paradigms, memory devices

optimized with smart caching and

fetching, memory pooling, new data

protocols and data transfer mediums,

memory vertical scaling such as 3D NAND

and X-Pint and finally 3D

integrated circuits, the memory gap will

finally begin to start decreasing

instead of increasing. Beyond these

concepts, in future videos we'll be

discussing optical computing and

neuromorphic computing.

Perfectionism will harm your brand - Duration: 8:18.

Hey guys, it's Kaylie! I'm talking today about perfectionism. Perfectionism... hands

up all you perfectionists out there. I'd say I'm like a recovering

perfectionist. Almost like I imagine being in AA when you've gone through

rehab to stop yourself being a perfectionist but sometimes it still

creeps up and then you break your sobriety. Perfectionism... What is

perfectionism? It's obviously that thing in your mind where

everything has to be perfect before you put content out there, before you launch

anything, before you do absolutely anything. Perfectionism is something that

is almost like a disease, that's how I like to see it. And the reason I

call it a disease is because it really hinders you. It really kind of stops you

from doing the things that you want to do, seeing the growth that you want to

see because you're always worried about things being perfect before you do it.

So, perfectionism. I wanted to share some ways that you can kind of kill

perfectionism and it's almost more like a mindset thing because perfectionism

comes because you want to be perfect. You want everything that you're putting

out there to be great and the thing is great content isn't perfect content. Especially

these days. I mean, you might have heard from my other videos if you've been

following me a little while, about how I talked about how content now is

so much more informal than it was five years ago you know. We have all of these

vloggers, YouTubers, social media influencers and they're doing everything

so informally. They're doing videos from their bed, they're doing videos when

they're on the bus, on the train, on the airplane. They're not sitting in

their polished offices or somewhere that is so prim and proper

with a suit on and tie. They're not doing that stuff anymore

everything is informal. So when it comes to perfectionism and worrying about

things being perfect you have to ask yourself: "Why am I worried about

things being perfect? Why does it really matter at the end

of the day?" And the reason earlier I called it a disease is because I'm someone who has

this insanely acute eye for detail. I notice the smallest things that

people would never notice and I think that's why I have perfectionist

tendencies because I spot these things and it drives me crazy.

So then I'm doing all these things to perfect things because I'm spotting all

of these little things. And I think perfectionism kind of comes from

all the clients that I've spoken to and other people that kind of are

perfectionists. It comes from something about themselves, like a way that they

like to present themselves, a way that they like to carry themselves in a way

that they like to be perceived. People are often worried about how others are

going to see them, which then makes them a perfectionist because they want to be

perfect for the world, right? They wanna be perfect for their clients.

I totally get it. But perfectionism, like I was saying

earlier it's only gonna hinder your growth. Because think about it: you'll

put in your Instagram content together, you're putting a blog post together or a

video together and if you are worried and concerned about things being perfect,

it's gonna take you three or four times longer than if you weren't worried about

things being perfect and it might even ultimately stop you from putting that

content out there, because you feel it's not perfect. All the lighting wasn't

great, even look at my lighting right now I have shadows behind me and I'm pretty

sure most videographers and people that are really experts at video

would say, that this isn't the best video setup. Anyway that's not my expertise so

I'm rolling with the shadow in the background. So that's something that

I've had to learn on myself as well, like don't worry about things being perfect.

Because before, let's say two years ago, I'd been like: "Nope, can't shoot this

video look at that shadow in the background, I'm not going to do it.

Everyone's gonna think that I'm an amateur at doing video." And I would never

have put the content out there. So perfectionism, that's why I call it a

disease because it's something that gets in your head and it can, like I said,

ultimately stop you doing what you need to be doing. (Sorry that was a bit of

fluff in the air) Perfectionism, ways that you can kind of overcome it, ways that

you can kind of train yourself not to become, not to be a perfectionist.

Think about why you're doing this while you're putting the content out there.

What is more important: getting your message out there, building your brand,

attracting your ideal clients, making a stamp in your niche or being perfect?

That's really the only thing that you have to ask yourself and that's really

the only way that I deal with my perfectionist tendencies and

my perfectionism habits that I have. I always think to myself: "Right, if I'm

gonna let my perfectionism get in the way, it's gonna take time away from doing

other things. So right now after I've recorded this video what I'll probably

do, is go through, maybe edit out a few bits. Probably not, I kind of like this

informal just relaxed style but I'm not gonna go crazy anymore like before.

Back in the day I'd be like: "Oh my god I need to sort out this lighting, oh my god I need to do this,

oh my god a new touch up here." No, no, no. And it's the same

for my clients. They will say: "Oh but I'm not... Like this is imperfect I'm not

ready to put this out there yet." That's another thing that perfectionism does. It

makes you feel like you're never ready to do something but if you don't just go

and do it, you're just gonna keep waiting and waiting and time is just going to

keep passing you by and you're going to be missing out on

putting your brand out there in the way that you need to and six months are

gonna go by and you still haven't put the video out there. You still haven't posted

that post on Instagram because you're worried about it being perfect. A lot of people

come to me, they don't feel like they have a great brand and, you

know, a lot of them don't have a great brand which is where they need my help.

But as they're building their brand, they then think that

everything has to be perfect before they can start posting, before they can start

putting themselves out into the world. And one thing I always say to people is

that don't wait to build your brand because you can tweak, you can improve as

you go along. Don't spend three months hiding in a cave putting together

content and pictures and doing all this fancy editing and making everything

perfect and then posting because you've just wasted three months because you're

trying to make things perfect when actually... Who

does the perfectionism really affect? Does it affect you or does

it affect your audience? It really more affects you and that's why you really

need to just get over your perfectionism if you're a perfectionist.

Honestly I'm laughing about it because, like I was saying

earlier, I still feel this come up for me and it's almost like I just have to like

let it go Kaylie it's not important, don't worry about it, just put the content

out there let's do it. That's literally how I feel that essentially what I say

to myself when I feel my tendencies coming out and the

way that I see things and the attention that I have on things. It's

almost what I have to say to myself I think the content is more important, get

the content out there, we can tweak it as we go along or we can just improve and

do things better next time. So, you don't have to start out your brand being this

polished, perfect image. Perfectionism it's gonna kill your brand,

it's gonna stop you growing, it's gonna stop you doing the things that you want

to do. So if you know that you have perfectionist tendencies,

then start to think about that, start to think about some of the things

that I've said and start to realize that perfectionism, it doesn't matter

anymore. I don't think even really mattered back in the day but especially

not now in this kind of social media age that we're in. It doesn't matter at all.

So go for it, put your content out there, don't strive to be perfect because, hey,

they say perfectionism doesn't even exist anyway.

Perfect doesn't even exist. You see all those memes going around, all

those quotes going around like yeah, this is not real, doesn't exist. No one is

perfect. Absolutely not. So just go for it guys! All right, I'll speak to you soon.

Bye!
