KickStart, Sugar Detox, Real Food, Whole30 Meal Prep Shortcuts - Duration: 5:10.

Hey I'm Laura and I want to welcome you if you're new to this channel where I

make family-friendly recipes every single week! In today's video, I'm going

to show you some of the shortcuts that I take when meal prepping for the week

when I'm doing our family kickstart program. These shortcuts are also perfect

for who30 and 21 day sugar detox programs because the idea of all these

whole food programs is to eat more fresh foods and eliminate grains, gluten,

dairy, and sugars. I love the family kickstart program in particular because

it's family friendly, and the recipes are not far from what my kids are used

to eating. That means, that I'm able to cook one meal for the whole family -at

all meals- and if there's something that you need to know about me is that

I refuse to be a short-order cook. Meal prepping is one of the most important

parts for success with any program. Here I've printed out our meal prep for the

week from the Family Kickstart, but all you have to do is write down the steps

that can be made ahead of time from your meal plan. If you're just getting started,

I'll also link the other meal prep videos below so you can learn more about

how to save time in the kitchen. So let's start with the salads for the week. In

any program you're gonna be eating a salad or two throughout the week, so I

like to prep my romaine lettuce ahead of time by washing it, drying it, and putting

it in a large container with some paper towels to absorb moisture and keep it

fresh. You can also store it in a zip back if that's what you have around. I

also like to wash and prep my other veggies like cherry tomatoes, celery,

carrots... etc. So, my biggest tip is to prep all your produce. If it's washed and

chopped the way you need it for the meal, all you need to do is pull it out and

get cooking! Whenever I see a sheet pan dinner I get super excited because

that's one meal I know I can prep entirely ahead of time and all I have to

do at dinner time is pull it of the refrigerator and bake. This dinner is

roasted chicken with asparagus and baby potatoes. To prep ahead my sheet pan

dinner, all have to do is chop the ends of the

asparagus and then in this big bowl, I'm going to mix a little olive oil and

seasoning, and toss with the asparagus around. Onto the sheet pan they go and

next, the potatoes. I'm going to put them in a large bowl and toss them

in the same olive oil and seasoning, just like with the asparagus. They go on the

pan for dinner. The last step, is to prep the chicken; and in the same bowl, I'm

going to add a little olive oil, Dijon mustard, salt, pepper, and a bit of coconut

milk or cream to thin it out. Then, I add the chicken, toss to combine, and place it

onto the pan. Since I don't want to bake this today, I'm going to cover it in

plastic wrap, and with a marker, make a note of the temperature and baking time.

This meal is ready and all I do is place it in the fridge and move on to another.

Another type of meal that I love are our slow cooker meals. I can place everything

in the slow cooker, set it, and forget it. My kickstart slow cooker salsa chicken

is gonna be used for the bell pepper nachos and my cauliflower burrito bowls.

I love recipes that yield more than one meal in a single prep. To the slow cooker

bowl, I'm going to add the chicken and salsa... and that's it! I know it's hard to

believe this is the base for two recipes to come. The thing I want you to see is that

with any slow cooker recipe in your meal plan for the week, you can place the

contents inside your slow cooker dish, cover it with plastic wrap, label the

date and cooking time, and refrigerate it. So simple right? The final big thing that

I do every week to help me get ahead of breakfast is pre-cook my eggs. Some weeks,

I make mini quiches in these mini muffin pans. While others I simply

scramble the eggs in a pan, transfer it onto a food storage container, and

refrigerate. In the morning, I simply heat up and serve with some fruit. One last

thing I do is prep any grain-free batter. Whether it's for breakfast or my new

corn muffins, I simply make the batter in the container, cover it, and refrigerate.

When it's time to bake it, I just pour it in my muffin pan, bake,

and serve. How easy was that? So if you wanted to save a lot of time while doing

Family Kickstar, Whole 30, or any other program; preparation is key. I'm going to

link these recipes right below this video so you know where to find them. In

summary, prep all your produce, prepare your sheet pan dinners, prep your slow

cooker meals, your breakfasts, and your batters. If you can get ahead of the game

in a couple of hours, you'll be able to eat fresh meals all week long. If you

He was a street cat and the city has a huge stray population

Then a tragic accident occurred a man used the hospital's revolving door and didn't see the can't on the other side

Miracles neck got stuck in the door, and he struggled to breathe the man stopped as soon as he discovered. What had happened

But it was already too late the cat was screaming with pain emergency services doctor Halil a Urich heard the cat screams

Realized that a life was in danger and immediately rushed to the scene

The fact that it was a cat and not a person didn't register

No one would die in the hall of his Hospital

Miracle was still stuck when Khalil reached the door so he grabbed the cat's head to free him miracle

It's not breathing so Helios started cardiac massage immediately and slowly, but surely

miracle started to respond

After a while miracle got up and breathe on his own a huge relief for Khalil his colleagues, but the story doesn't end there

After helping him back to life and aptly named in him miracle Halil decided to adopt him

Now the two friends are inseparable

Today miracles life on the street is just a distant memory

And he has a long and happy life ahead of him with the man who saved his life. What a wonderful end

When it comes to selling trucks,

U.S. carmakers have been blowing away their foreign competition.

U.S. trucks are basically automotive juggernauts.

Turns out they owe that success to chickens.

Well, frozen ones, anyway.

It call goes back to the late 1950s, early 1960s.

The European economy is finally getting better after the end of World War II,

and everyone in the world is sort of helping each other.

This is an era of free trade.

In America, people were beginning to fall in love with German imports.

Everyone wanted a Beatle --

a Volkswagen Beetle, that is.

At the same time, Germany began importing cheap, frozen chicken from the United States.

Which was awesome for the German consumer,

but not so awesome for the German chicken farmers.

So the farmers got to the German government and they say, "Protect us against this cheap,

delicious, frozen American chicken that is flooding the market!"

And the government says, "OK, sure."

So it puts a 50 percent tax on imported frozen chicken.

And America is like, "Wait, wait, wait, what?

Germany, we just helped you rebuild after the war and you want to start a trade dispute?

You want to tax our chicken?

Fine.

Fine.

We will find some German things that we can tax."

So in 1963, the U.S. goes and puts a 25percent tariff on foreign trucks.

That includes commercial vans, light trucks and regular old pickups.

And Germany wasn't the only one affected.

The U.S. applied it to all foreign-made commercial vehicles.

Volkswagen, who had been planning to send over its new line of trucks,

now found them too expensive to export.

And just like that, the American car market changed almost overnight.

And American trucks were given a huge advantage over their foreign competitors.

They've held that advantage ever since.

For the past 50 years, trucks have kind of paid the bills for America's automakers.

The Ford F-150 has been one of America's best-selling vehicles for decades.

The existence of the chicken tax has been very profitable for American car companies.

Now, these days the world's a more complicated place, of course.

There are plenty of American automakers with foreign interests.

But the thing about tariffs is, they're hard to get rid of.

Not because they're always necessary, but because they can be used as leverage.

So in all likelihood, the chicken tax will continue to stick around,

and America's signature trucks will remain dominant above the rest.

hello guys today I'm trying out the Boss Katana Artist amplifier and as you

might have seen before I've already tried two different katana amplifiers

one being the katana mini which is a lot of fun, I can just sit you know

wherever I want, I can sit in the couch watching TV I play through this little

thing, I can bring it on tour stuff like that, I also made one for the boss katana

50 which is a smaller combo amp like this but today I'm very pleased to try

out Boss Katana Artists which is brand new and it has a couple of extras

that's not available on the boss katana 50 amplifier

The boss katana artist is a solid state amplifier

however the wattage is supposed to be equivalent of a tube or a valve

amplifier so for 100 W it should be really loud and what I really like about

when you look at it, it's really narrow, it's not really that deep and it's

really easy let me let me try and lift it real quick with one arm okay

oh it's not possible I cannot do it

but I mean if you stand up like this

it's pretty easy

oh that's my coffee cup back there

forgot about that

so yeah

wtf is that?

oh, it's a cable

for a hundred watt

amplifier it's very small I must say and it's a 12-inch speaker the waza speaker

so yeah I'm excited to try it out

let's see I need a guitar

it's one of those amplifiers you need to turn on

and for this demo I'm using a Solar A2.6 guitar and this microphone is an Beyer

dynamic M160

BROWN!

okay let's go through the panel real quick, first you have the amp type and

you have five different ones to choose from, you have brown, lead, crunch, clean

and acoustic and the acoustic preamp is when you use an acoustic guitar

and then you have the gain, amplifier volume, bass, middle, treble and here you have

some effects,booster and modulation effects, delay, reverb and a lot of these

effects you can access if you plug in the boss katana artists into your

computer with an USB cable so you can arrange the effects the way you like

them and then we have the tone settings, presence, master volume and then power

control which ranges from standby, which I guess is nothing... that's true

to 0.5W, 50W, 100W

so if you want to push a little bit more on the master volume you can go down to

50W and just crank it up

just don't forget to turn down the volume when you switch up to 100W

then after that we have something called cabinet resonance and right now it's set

to deep

now it's set to vintage

modern...

deep

let's add some reverb to this

nice...

I guess you changed the mode of what type of delay you're using by

clicking this little button here but obviously you can also change when you

hook up the boss katana into your computer

put a little bit of boost in there

MEOW!

okay so that's the brown, let's try out the lead

really lucid sounding I love that, okay let's try the crunch and this is not my

forte but let's just do it anyway

why is it that every time there's a crunch mode that I have to demo, and it's

just like I have no idea what to play,

I guess I just do metal...

that's just my thing why am I supposed to try out the crunch

part of an amplifier, I'm not gonna use it...

I'm just using the Brown you know to

play metal and lead and clean okay crunch is like f#€% crunch...

Rabea Massad and his videos, because he

knows what he's doing when he's demoing. so okay if you don't want metal...

go check out his video, okay, good

and there you go that's how you get inspired to write something new maybe

that's a riff, who knows maybe you will see it in an upcoming song somewhere

hmm some leftover in there

I mean what I really like about the boss katana stuff is that you know it's just

very simple to get going and I think that's definitely like the winning

key for these amplifiers, you don't have to program it

you can still use the USB and hook it up to a computer and you know program it

just the way you would with any other programmable amplifier or pedal board

but I mean you have everything available here and it just sounds awesome

then you just okay I'll go Brown because that's just who I am right now

and then I do this, a little bit of this

*mumbling*

??????

and then you turn it up even more...

???????

it's loud, and you can't hear shit...

and I'm just cranking the amp...

I just really like how simple it is and you just crank

it up and you play and it just sounds awesome out of the

box which is something I really appreciate because nowadays you know all

these new pieces of gear you need to take your time and really set your sound

here it's like ok you have one sound for

metal, ok fine, that's awesome, I like that, there's lead

there's brown, there's not two million different amplifier types, it's like ok

you have brown, you have lead, you have crunch, you have clean and that's it

I really appreciate that with this amplifier so yeah if you like this demo

talking about anti trends

and overall things that I'm fed up to up to here!

in America and Canada, where I live

its for those people

i don't know whats going on in Russia so

so if you don't agree with what I am about to talk about, or you didn't even have these trends

you'll know that I am talking about

people who live where I live!

1st thing that I think we should leave in 2017 is

fidget spinner! omg!

I don't know what was going on with fidget spinners in Russia

but for us in America and Canada

it was a huge trend that blew up!

these things were everywhere!

i bought myself a fidget spinner, honestly i got sick of it after a couple of days

i believe this is a huge anti-trend

we should calm down with the fidget spinners

just throw them out and forget them!

the next anti-trend we should all forget is

camo pants! I am a huge

fan of camo! i love

camo! and I will be wearing camo.

t-shirts, jackets, etc.

But when I saw this trend, ill include a picture right here,

I didn't like it right away

I never bought these, because first of all i knew this was just a trend

secondly this was from the 90s,

and 3rd

i never liked this print, when camo

was mixed with other colors

however in America and Canada

so many people wore these pants

it was crazy! Finally

people paused with these pants, and I hope

they roll them up

and burned it! because

it was so ugly

Kylie Lip Kits! I remember how I would sit at my computer

and wait for them to come out! I have

so many of these lip kits.

it felt like an achievement

of lifetime, that you got the chance to order one

lipkit. Now when Kylie advertises it

I don't even check her website

I have zero interest in her products

Honestly, when I walk into Sephora, I find everything I need

They have such amazing stuff!

That Kylie doesn't even stand near it

Kylie lip kits were very expensive

I paid 52 canadian dollars

then you have to wait for 3 weeks for it to arrive

shipping was very expensive

next, I don't know what its called in russian, but in english its called

Clout Glasses. They look like this

this is

a very hideous shape of glasses, they both me

even if its just for an instagram picture

ANNOYED.

guys, if you like these sunglasses. thats all that matters

don't listen to what i say, this is only my opinion

but seriously they bothered me so much, in America

almost every single girl wore these glasses

and i was just thinking "HOW?!" i understand

it was a trend, but its not even pretty!

Why did people even like it?!

Im not sure if you knew anyone who followed this trend

I personally only saw this on instagram

never saw this in real life, thank god

because, i think that normal people understand that

this is not nice looking and looks very weird

and if i saw somebody in real life

with these brows, I would think that they are from

a different planet. so lets leave this trend

not just in 2017 but somewhere very far

so nobody ever finds it every again

Cardi B vs Nicki

Im pretty sure that in russia you guys know who Cardi is

and you obviously know whose Nicki

its so annoying

when people start saying " oo who do you thinks is better, Nicki

"ohh they're competing"

"cardi is like this" but "niki is better"

why can't we just respect both

of these awesome women rappers who

made it in this industry. I respect both

they are both different, and we should compare

Cardi B to Nicki

they are two different personalities, two different

of rap music, they are both very different

and we shouldn't compare them.

By saying one is better than the other. Either you like

one of them or the other. Lets not compare.

They are two different individuals with different sort of music.

The only thing that is the same about them is

their big butts, and that they rap.

and even though they both rap

they yet have different genre of rap.

idk how to explain it, but Nicki is more

sassy, very feminine.

Cardi B is very savage.

even if they wear the same wigs, and clothes,

Next! Contouring!

As you can see, today I am not wearing any contour. I

never really liked contouring because I thought it ages people

Now i know that

its trendy to have a fresh clean looking face.

Without a caked face.

Idk about you

I love putting on eye make up and I will continue to do so

I think its pretty. But as for my face

I only put CC cream, i don't even use foundation anymore

because i like the natural clean look.

When your face has little product it looks more natural and clean

Its not caked

And if you do contour professionally it looks

very nice as well, however

I think we should still leave contouring in 2017 because

when you don't have contour you look a lot more

how should i say this.....you look a lot more natural and

a lot younger. Thats just how i see it.

But if you like to contour, then contour

don't take me seriously guys, I'm not a beauty blogger, i don't even know what

i am talking about. and the last trend

its matte lipsticks!

Honestly I think i am still going to be wearing matte lipsticks

But not as often. Right now its trendy to wear lipgloss.

It looks so fresh.

I really like it, even though your hair sticks to it.

But i kinda got used to it.

I think that matte lipsticks

are kinda getting old...

its not really exciting anymore, and you just want something new.

seeing all these brands come out with new glosses

i find that super exciting

so yeah, that was the last trend I wanted to cover
