Back here in Korea, the Lunar New Year, or Seollal, is one of the nation's biggest holidays,

and it starts today.

Traditionally people visit relatives, which for millions and millions of Koreans... involves

a drive of several hours.

This year, with the Olympics in PyeongChang, the highways and trains are extra jammed,

as our Cha Sang-mi reports.

Also called Seollal, the Lunar New Year is one of Korea's most important holidays.

This time of year, there's a mass exodus from the big cities as relatives all gather to

celebrate the new year together.

The Korea Transport Institute estimates that more than 32 million people will travel during

this four-day weekend, around a million people more than last year.

The biggest reasons for the rise, experts say, are that tolls on the nation's expressways

are being waived from Thursday through Saturday and people are going to the Winter Olympics

in Pyeongchang.

A daily average of 4-point-2 million vehicles are expected on the roads over the four-day

break.

And on Lunar New Year's Day -- Friday -- that'll jump to 5-point-4 million.

Trains are another option for those who don't want to be stuck in traffic.

"KORAIL has reported that 860-thousand seats, almost half of the total available, were sold

during a pre-Seollal sale over two days in January.

And behind me, crowds of people are lining up to buy the last few available seats."

Which explains why it wasn't easy for some visitors to PyeongChang to get to the Olympic

venues.

"We bought these KORAIL tickets from the travel agency in Finland in December and then we

started booking the seat tickets in January.

And part of it it was ok, but then we have some days especially coming back when we don't

have any ticket yet - no seat no standing tickets."

Some have decided to book way earlier or just come back after the holiday is over.

"I booked the tickets earlier via a smartphone app.

I'm going home to Daegu."

"I'm going to Ulsan with my baby by KTX.

There were no tickets left on Seollal Day, so we will come back to Seoul next Tuesday."

For a lot of people, it'll be tough booking tickets or making that long roadtrip, but

they'll tell you it's worth it once they're reunited with family.

What I want to talk about today

Umm

Have you heard of Virtual Youtuber?

Yeah it is getting popular right now

Different types of character take videos like Youtubers

So I examined this phenomenal

It is like

The early stage of Vocaloid culture

For example as for Vocaloid

If you search the early songs of Hatsune Miku

The lyrics were about making her a virtual idol

A lot of creators composed their songs based on that

But after the smash hit of Melt by Supercell

Generic J-pop came into seen

And the genre became more diverse

Virtual Youtuber is

Currently sort of fixed to 2 main poles

Either cute girls trying to be virtual idol

Or funny people trying to make people laugh

So I think there will come a time something

Other than these two start appearing

And also

As for Virtual Youtubers with voice actresses

To put it simply, their voice sound a lot like when they are on radio shows

Compared to voice recording session of Anime, it is really different

It is more natural

And the characteristic of the voice actress is evident in the voice

After this genre has become popular

It feels like Youtube and Niconico have been energized even more

It is getting more fun daily

I think some of you Oniichan

Are really hyped about Virtual Youtubers

Weiss Brothers Precast Bridge Segment by Cranes Etc TV - Duration: 4:15.

In this accessory review we look at a precast concrete bridge segment by Weiss

Brothers. As stated on the box the slings shown on the photo are not included but

let's open up and see what's inside. We have a small bag containing four lifting

bolts and nuts, and nicely packed in the black foam rubber is the precast bridge

section.

Well, if you're going to ask to see the assembly, the only thing to do is

to attach the lifting bolts and there are four of them and they each drop in

easily enough, and they are secured at the bottom by attaching the nuts. The first

thing to say is that the part is not made of metal because otherwise it would

be too expensive and too heavy, so instead it's made of resin. The moulding

details are good because they include the opposite interlocking patterns on

both sides of the segments, and the grey concrete colour looks good enough too. The

holes where stressing strands would go through are formed but not complete. but

you can see one hole here that's drilled right through. At the ends there are

blocks with replica reinforcement sticking out but it would have been nice

if the bars had been a different colour. But overall the details are good so

let's see how much the segment weighs, and on the Cranes Etc weighbridge it's

about one and a half pounds or 700 grams.

So what can we do with a load like this? And the first thing we can try is to put

it on a heavy haulage vehicle and of course this looks good driving around

the Cranes Etc yard, but maybe a headroom problem on a road. But here we are on

site and we're going to use a big Manitowoc to lift the segment in the way

that the box anticipates. So we've got four lifting strops with shackles and we

can attach those to the lifting points on the segment. The lifting eyes on the

bolts were a little bit of a tight fit on the review model, but with a little

bit of cleaning out the shackles can be fitted easily.

Once all the shackles are fitted we get the all-clear to commence the lift.

It is a large piece so you need a pretty big crane to lift it off and in this

case we're using a Manitowoc MLC650. Up she goes with some uncontrolled swinging

that knocks the heads of everybody who's standing nearby, but apart from that the

lift is perfect. In real life slings like this probably wouldn't be used because

of the sideways loading on the bolts so I asked the Cranes Etc engineers if a

lifting frame could be made and they laughed in my face! So I made one myself

and they're not laughing now. With the lifting find the load on the bolts is

purely vertical. I previously mentioned the holes through a segment so if you had

more than one segment and some threaded rod you could build yourself a whole

viaduct.

This is another very nice load from Weiss brothers. The resin casting is very

good and it's nice that if you've got more than one you can interlock the

sections, and it's a flexible load because you could either stick it on

some transport, or hang it from a crane, so overall it's a nice solid piece which

is very good.

God is more interested in working through us,

instead of changing the situation

because changing the situation

is easy for him, but it is more important for Him

to change us on the inside.

Every time we argued Heidy blamed me

for something bad or unexpected that happened.

When we argued badly, the word "divorce" is often used.

It happened many times and was getting intense,

in my lowest moment, I became closer with another woman.

In the end there was an affair and Heidy found out,

she told me to end it.

But that moment I asked for a divorce.

But she couldn't and I decided to leave the house.

"I need time," I told her.

Honestly I wanted to end it my way,

which was to commit suicide.

I shouted and struggled to God saying,

"If You are really here with me

prove it to me right now."

I felt God said that He never gives up,

through this situation I will know Him even better

and have a happy ending.

One of my fear was if my friends find out about this.

But amazingly with God, we were not put to shame.

I still decided to come to DATE (Cell Group)

even if it was tough but those days weren't as bad as I thought

because they didn't judge me,

they supported me instead.

In one of my darkest moments I saw God was looking at me and smiled.

He only said, "Just come to Me."

I didn't understand why he didn't see me the way I see myself,

I was disgusted with myself.

I finally realised that I couldn't run away anymore.

Everywhere I go there He is - God.

Especially when DATE members kept looking for me

though I told them, "Don't ever contact me."

I remember Bona (my DATE Leader) who kept approaching Carl.

If they didn't give up, why would I give up?

So in December I took a step.

If anybody asked me if I still love her or hope to be together again, I didn't.

Daniel shows unconditional submission,

whatever he was going through, he always obeyed.

It helps me to understand unconditional love of God

who greatly loves us.

He sees no mistakes and no sins in us.

It encourages me to accept Carl.

As she submits to God, she submits to me,

from little to big things

I can really feel it.

It makes me feel loved.

My heart started to open for loving Heidy again,

even more than I ever thought possible.

In 2016 we were in the healing process

until we renewed many commitments.

It's amazing that no matter how awful the choices I've made

it couldn't stop God from doing exceedingly more than I could ever think.
