Hello, I'm Serkan Sogut.

I'm having long trips every year with my motorcycle.

My last trip was to South America.

Starting from Istanbul, I traveled to Europe first, then America

Central America and crossed to South America with my motorcycle for 1 year.

I used a small motorcycle, it was 250 cc.

As I have limited space, I had to take 1 piece for each item and use it for a long time.

Now I'll share my experiences about these items.

One of the equipments I used in my trip is boots, I'll talk about boots.

I used Avantour model of Falco, made in Italy.

There are 1-2 reasons why I chose this model, but the most important reason is it has a knuckle here.

Because, thanks to this knuckle you can walk very comfortably.

At least it is more comfortable to walk if you compare with the others.

I remember I took walks in long national parks without taking them off.

D3O protection is used, it has High Tex rain membrane.

I used these boots for 50 thousand kilometers in 1 year and used them

off-road or under heavy rain for a very long time.

I used them also during hot weather, hot weather also effects a lot.

It didn't get water in it for approximately 20 thousand kilometers.

I think it's a pretty good number, because all of the boots I used so far had got water in it eventually.

I think every boot eventually gets water inside.

My advice is to use a waterproof overboots on this.

Let me show you an example.

This prevents the water leakage, and it definitely prolongs its life.

If you're taking long trips like me, I think it's important to prolong the boots' life.

I didn't experienced any problem or a failure about the buckles.

By the way, I fell from the motorcycle a lot, also during off-road rides.

The buckles has hit the ground, but I had no problems about it.

Velcros has not deformed .

It's important, because normally they got deformed with time.

I think they're in pretty good condition after 50 thousand kilometers.
