The Art of Seduction by Robert Greene | Animated Book Review - Duration: 10:33.

"Every seduction has two elements that you must analyze and understand: first, yourself

and what is seductive about you; and second, your target and the actions that will penetrate

their defenses and create surrender."

- Robert Greene

Seduction starts off with who you are, the way you are expressing your seductive energy.

Robert Greene forms nine types of seducers, and in the end, finishing with an Anti-Seducer.

Let's learn more about them:

1. Sirens lure their targets with their image and tease.

They are packed with sex appeal and they are not afraid to show it.

2. Rakes adore the opposite sex; they are willing to do everything for it.

With their infectious desire, they can draw their target into a sensual moment where all

time loses any meaning.

3. Ideal lovers can adapt to a targets mood, go along with it, find whats missing in their

life and provide that.

Making them selves a perfect partner and ideal lover in every situation.

4. Dandies are all about presentation, striking and full of confidence they are people we

admire and wish to be.

5. Naturals are very spontaneous and always open; they will take their time and hold nothing

back.

6. Coquettes are self-sufficient and extremely narcissistic.

Instead of chasing Coquettes let themselves be chased.

7. Charmers are very social creatures; they are very pleasant to be around with.

They want and know how to please.

8. Charismatics have a great amount of unusual confidence.

They create an illusion that they are born this way, that this comes from inside them.

9. Stars are always striving to put them selves on a pedestal, they are about being an actor

of great stories and dramas and always keeping their distance, being untouchable.

Anti-seducers are those that have a main attribute of insecurity, and when ts combined with some

other negative attribute, it creates a personality that will always repel.

They are everything that seducers are not.

Before continuing to 24 rule for successful seduction, Greene gives out one important

not: Never try to seduce your own type.

It's a follow thru of a golden rule: Opposites attract.

"What will seduce a person is an effort we expend on their behalf, showing how much we

care, how much they are worth."

- Robert Greene

Time to move to seduction rules.

1. Choosing the right victim.

The right victims are those for whom you can fill a void, who see in you something exotic.

Never rush into the waiting arms of the first person who seems to like you.

That is not seduction but insecurity.

2. Creating a False Sense of Security, Approach Indirectly

To move from friendship to love can win success without calling attention to itself as a maneuver.

There is nothing more effective in seduction than making the seduced think that they are

the ones doing the seducing.

3. Send Mixed Signals

What is obvious and striking may attract their attention at first, but that attention is

often short-lived; in the long run, ambiguity is much more potent.

Be hard to figure out.

4. Appear to Be an Object of Desire: Create Triangles

You see a man alone, whom nobody talks to for any length of time, and who is wandering

around without company; isn't there a kind of self-fulfilling isolation about him?

Why is he alone, why is he avoided?

There has to be a reason.

5. Create a need, stir anxiety and discontent

People are always susceptible to being seduced, because in fact everyone lacks a sense of

completeness, feels something missing deep inside.

Bring their doubts and anxieties to the surface, and they can be led and lured to follow you.

6. Master the Art of Insinuation

There is no known defense against insinuation— the art of planting ideas in people's minds

by dropping elusive hints that take root days later, even appearing to them as their own

idea.

Make everything suggestive.

7. Enter Their Spirit

Play by their rules, enjoy what they enjoy, adapt yourself to their moods.

In doing so, you will stroke their deep-rooted narcissism and lower their defenses.

8. Create Temptation

As the serpent tempted Eve with the promise of forbidden knowledge, you must awaken a

desire in your targets that they cannot control.

Find that weakness of theirs, that fantasy that has yet to be realized, and hint that

you can lead them toward it.

9. Keep Them In Suspense, what comes next?

Behave in a way that leaves them wondering, What are you up to?

Doing something they do not expect from you will give them a delightful sense of spontaneity—

they will not be able to foresee what comes next.

10. Use the Demonic Power of Words to Sow Confusion

Inflame people's emotions with loaded phrases, flatter them, comfort their insecurities,

envelop them in fantasies, sweet words, and promises, and not only will they listen to

you, but they will also lose their will to resist you.

11. Pay Attention to Detail

The secret is in small things.

People mostly miss these things that are dead giveaways of certain feelings, reactions,

and likings.

12. Poeticize Your Presence

You can be dangerous, naughty, even somewhat vulgar, depending on the tastes of your victim.

But never be ordinary or limited.

In poetry (as opposed to reality), anything is possible.

13. Disarm Through Strategic Weakness and Vulnerability

The best way to cover your tracks is to make the other person feel superior and stronger.

If you seem to be weak, vulnerable, enthralled by the other person, and unable to control

yourself, you will make your actions look more natural, less calculated.

14. Confuse Desire and Reality— The Perfect Illusion

Your task as a seducer is to bring some flesh and blood into someone's fantasy life by embodying

a fantasy figure or creating a scenario resembling that person's dreams.

15. Isolate the Victim

Separate them from their environment physically, emotionally, and mentally, so they can become

further engrossed with you.

16. Prove Yourself

Cleverly lead your victim into a crisis, a moment of danger, or indirectly put them in

an uncomfortable position, and you can play the rescuer, the gallant knight.

17. Effect a Regression

Encourage them to talk about their childhood.

Don't take their words at face value, many events will be sugarcoated or dramatized,

but pay attention to the tone of voice, things they avoid or deny, or things that make them

emotional.

Also, notice info about weaknesses and mental makeup.

18. Stir Up the Transgression and Taboo

Making your targets feel that you are leading them past either kind of limit is immensely

seductive.

People yearn to explore their dark side.

19. Use Spiritual Lures

Everyone has doubts and insecurities —about their body, their self-worth, their sexuality.

If your seduction appeals exclusively to the physical, you will stir up these doubts and

make your targets self-conscious.

Instead, lure them out of their insecurities by making them focus on something sublime

and spiritual: a religious experience, a lofty work of art, the occult.

20. Mix Pleasure with Pain

Lure them in with focused attention, then change direction, appearing suddenly uninterested.

Make them feel guilty and insecure.

Even instigate a breakup, subjecting them to emptiness and pain that will give you room

to maneuver.

21. Give Them Space to Fall— The Pursuer Is Pursued

Understand: a person's willpower is directly linked to their libido, their erotic desire.

When your victims are passively waiting for you, their erotic level is low.

When they turn pursuer, getting involved in the process, brimming with tension and anxiety,

the temperature is raised.

22. Use Physical Lures

While your cool, nonchalant air is calming their minds and lowering their inhibitions,

your glances, voice, and bearing— oozing sex and desire— are getting under their

skin, agitating their senses and raising their temperature.

23. Master the Art of the Bold Move

Your bold move should have a theatrical quality.

e.g., put out all of the candles but one.

Don't let them into the bedroom at first.

Remember: you are creating a moment that must stand out from the regularity of daily life.

24. Beware the after effects

Stir the pot, even if that means a return to inflicting pain and pulling back.

Never rely on your physical charms; even beauty loses its appeal with repeated exposure.

Only strategy and effort will fight off inertia

KNITTING TUTORIAL - POMSHELL BEANIE - Duration: 14:40.

Heys Christine are you ready for another tutorial?

I love this pattern so much!

I hope you guys like it as well.

I went on this website it's called knitting.com and

I was looking at their stitches and I came across this dandelion stitch and I

was just like, "oh my gosh I have to have it on a hat" so here we are! and I wanted

to share with you guys. It comes in four different sizes.

We have the baby hat

and the child size

the big kids size

and the adult size.

I made the adult size while

making the video tutorial but if you want to make these three sizes you can

still follow along with me it's basically the same thing just different

amount of stitches.

Also, if you want this same yarn that I use, I used these two different

types of yarn. These two are the same and these two are the same.

The link for those is underneath my video or you can go to my blog and it has it on there as well.

I love both of these yarns. This roving yarn is amazing!

Download the written pattern! It's underneath my video in the description bar.

It's for personal use only. Meaning, you can make it for you or for friends.

If you want to buy a hat then I'm actually going to be selling them!

So go to my website and you can find them there. You can choose the color if you want.

Just email me and I'll make it for you!

Okay let me know in the comments of what you want to see next.

What other knitting tutorial do you want to see?

Enjoy making this hat! Please send me pictures - tag me on Instagram

that's where I show you more behind the scenes little sneak peeks and

how I come with making these patterns and things like that we had a lot of fun.

okay, bye!

We are going to need to do a long tail cast on.

and make a slip knot.

You're going to tighten it.

Cast On 42

and I show how to do this a lot slower. I have the link underneath this video in

the description bar if you need to know how to do slip knot and cast on.

So cast on 42.

Okay, now to join in the round we need a stitch marker. Place it on our

right hand needle and for four rounds we're going to do a knit two purl one rib.

so our yarn is in the back and we're going to knit.

Go from in the front to the back. Bring your yarn around

and that's one.

So here's our knit two to purl.

our yarn is in the front and then we go from the back to the front

bring your yarn over, come down and up and then slide that stitch off.

We're gonna knit again.

so our yarn is in the back.

Knit 2

and then

Purl 1

ok and you do this all the way to the end of the round.

and so do you see how now we were working in the round right here it's attached, yay.

and there might be a little gap at first but don't worry it will close up.

okay knit two purl one knit two purl one.

So, we did the knit two purl one for four rounds. This is what mine looks like.

Now for the body, rounds one through four we're going to knit.

Just knit all the stitches.

so you know how we casted on 42 stitches...for the body part, we are going to need

only 41 stitches so rounds one through four you are going to knit except for

round one so that we can have 41 stitches, we are just going to at the end

of our round the last two stitches we're just going to knit them together.

It's called a knit two together. And all you do is you go from the front to the back

just pretend that they're one stitch. Just like regular knitting. Bring your yarn

around down and up okay and that'll end up looking just

fine no problem at all. and then you just keep on this is now my

round two and keep on knitting.. two, three, and four

Alright? See?

Okay now we are on round 5 which is the flower so what we first do

is knit three.

and then we do the flower

This is what we do.

You count two stitches back. So one, two.

and then 1 2 3 this is where I'm going to put our right needle.

and we're going to knit. and then we are going to pull it out.

okay

and then, knit two

and then you're going to go through the same stitch

okay? We're going to go through that same stitch right?

and then we do another loop.

pull it up. Now we knit two again and we're gonna go

through that same stitch. Make sure your other stitches don't fall off.

just like that! That's what it'll look like.

Now you just knit four in between your flowers until you get to your last two

stitches and you just knit those two.

So let's do it one more time.

So I have our

stitches in between, we are going to do the flowers so we count two stitches

over one, two, three, stitches down, put our needle through.. knit, bring our yarn up

This is the trickiest part making sure that you have enough out...

knit two. Go through that same stitch right there. Bring our yarn over,

come up and pull it.

knit two.

and then

go through the same stitch.

Come up.

Beautiful!

Okay Knit four and do another flower.

okay so

for round six we have a knit two and then now we're going to decrease since

we have our extra stitches, we knit two together

and then knit one.

We do this twice.

Knit two together, knit one.

and then we knit two together.

okay

So just follow along with the pattern. We're now going to knit three

and then

you do

your knit two together knit one knit two together knit one, knit two together and

then three all the way to the end.

I'm at the end of my row eleven. I did my flower and then knit four. and then I have

two stitches left. We need to do another flower right here so we're actually

going to go to the next round to do this and that's okay so I just wanted to show

you what it will look like.

we're going to knit two.

so we used two stitches

on our next round.

Okay?

and that just completed that whole flower round even though we had to

borrow these two stitches per se

and now we're at the next round where it's our decrease round.

so, we are going to knit one, two, three, and four

and then we just

do our decreases so we knit two together.

knit one.

Knit two together.

Knit one.

Knit two together.

and then do your knit three in between your flowers

and let's say that we

are at the end of the round I'll meet you at the end of the round so

I can show you how to do those decreases okay? This is the trickiest part of it

and I promise you, you can do this.

okay now we just do a knit one on our round 13 and

knit two together. and then you just knit your round 13 where your round one

because you repeat these.

You're going to repeat your round one okay?

You can do this right?

and then it just continues on with that pattern so

you can't even tell where your round begins.

I love this pattern guys.

So keep on repeating.

yay

Now, I ended on a round eight. So we did one through twelve and then one through eight.

Now we're at our decrease round and you are going to easy peasy knit two

together all the way to the end of the round, but we have odd number of stitches

so our last stitch we're just going to knit it.

our next round we knit. Then our third round

we knit two together same deal as this round.

Okay? Meet you there.

K so this is what it looks like and I have 11 stitches left on my needles

and we're gonna end with those 11 stitches.

what we do is we're going to cut our yarn.

and then with our tapestry needle we're going to go through all of the stitches.

Since our yarns in the back, I like to

start in the front go through these first.

You just slide them onto your needle.

pull and then it closes up perfectly you guys.

and then you're just kind of tighten it as much as you can but not too tight because this is

roving yarn and it willl come apart if you pull too tight.

and then I put it right in the middle, come on the inside

and then you need to weave this end and one on top.

don't forget to weave this one so it's the same thing you're

gonna go through here and then just kinda make sure that you don't see it.

easy peasy

So cute! now we just add a pom pom

You can buy one of the furry pom poms or you can make a pom pom out of the rest of

your yarn which that's what I'm gonna do.

Click on this video and it will show you how to make a pom pom.

SOtM tx-USBultra USB conditioner/reclocker - Duration: 10:56.

Cleaning up the USB signal coming from a computer before it is sent to a d/a-converter does

pay, as we have seen in the reviews of the iFi reclockers. This time we look at a costlier

model by SOtM, the tx-USBultra, which is twice the price of the iFi Micro iUSB3.0 I reviewed

earlier.

On the outside the tx-USBultra looks identical to the sMS-200ultra and while the concept

is also the same - take a digital audio interface and improve the signal by reclocking and reshaping

- the devices could not be different otherwise. Both are based on standard non-ultra versions

and where the sMS-200 is essentially a small computer functioning as a network audio interface,

the tx-USB is a USB 2.0 hub with noise reduction measures and improved clock timing. The ultra

addition is a very high precision clocking circuit but where in the sMS-200ultra the

dual clock sCLK-EX 2425 board is used, the tx-USBultra has the sCLK-EX12 board included.

This board has a single frequency clock oscillator.

The unit measures 106 by 227 by 48 millimeters. The front holds the power led that does not

function as a power button as with other SOtM products that use this housing. On the rear

the power inlet for the supplied switching mode power supply or any audiophile power

supply that can deliver 9 volts DC at 2 amps. Next to it the USB Type B input and below

that two USB Type A outputs. Each output has a power switch that enables or disables the

power on the USB output. Ideally you don't want to power the DAC over USB but the universal

plug and play protocol /requires/ power over USB. This is how it works: When you connect

the DAC to a computer, the computer powers the interface chip in de DAC so it can report

back to the computer its identity like what type, brand and model it is. Since the power

comes from the computer, the DAC doesn't need to be switched on or even powered. This

protocol was designed for printers, scanners, drives and the like and some DAC manufacturers

were not too happy with the power and therefore provide the interface chip with power from

within the DAC - also when switched off - and cut the power coming from the computer. Back

to the rear. Although there are two USB outputs, SOtM advises to use only one at the time.

Optionally a clock input can be ordered but given the high quality clock inside this seems

only functional when you need to use a number of DAC's in parallel as with multi channel

setups.

I used my Intel NUC running Roon Rock server that was powered from a 19 volts DC sBooster.

The 8TB USB3 drive that holds the music was powered from a first gen 12 volts DC sBooster

power supply. Normally the NUC and drive are placed two floors up and connected over Ethernet

to the SOtM sMS-200ultra and fed from the original switching mode power supplies. But

I don't like cheap switching mode power supplies so close to my setup 1, hence the

audiophile power supplies. The tx-USBultra was powered using the sBooster 9 volts DC

Ultra that normally powers my sMS-200Ultra. A short word on other power supplies: the

simple switching mode power supply that comes with SOtM products was only used for burning

in since I know the difference in audio quality using an audiophile power supply on the sMS-200ultra.

But it just as well could have been the SOtM sPS-500 power supply. I just already owned

the sBooster and there was no audible difference when reviewing the sMS-200 Ultra. The SOtM

power supply does have a wide range of voltages - 7, 9, 12 and 19 volts DC - and is more pleasing

to the eye, especially in combination with either SOtM Ultra device. It's also clearly

more expensive. Back to the setup: the tx-USBultra comes with a USB cable - not one of the cables

they sell separately. I used this between the Intel NUC and the tx-USBultra. The connection

to the Mytek Brooklyn DAC was my standard cable, the AudioQuest Diamond. My thoughts

were that the cleaned up signal should be transported with the utmost care not to ruin

it again. It also gave a fair comparison between the tx-USBultra and the sMS-200Ultra on which

later on more. One last remark: all devices on test start of with at least a week of burning

in. I usually don't listen to the device during this period so the first time I hear

it is after a week or more playing muted. If I think to hear problems that could be

related to burning in, I give it another week and so on. In the case of digital players

it is especially the clock oscillator that needs to settle. So a 'cold' DAC or streamer

most likely will sound harsh, have little tonal qualities in the low end and so on:

the fingerprints of jitter.

It started off with a sound quality I didn't associate with SOtM. I had the tx-USBultra

connected to the left USB socket on the front of the NUC since that is the low power outlet.

It was messy and uninspiring. I thought the right USB socket was a USB2 and might sound

better. It did but I later found out that it was the USB 3.0 socket that provides high

current for fast charging of tablets and the like. I guess this USB socket was on another

lane than the USB3 drive connected to the rear although I couldn't find any information

on this. It does illustrate that trying out several options does pay. The sound now was

in the realm of the top end in my setup 2 and the lower end of my setup 1. Thus clearly

better than the iFi Micro iUSB3.0, which by the way cost less than half. There are still

people that claim that digital is digital, zeros are zeros and ones are ones. And they

seem completely right. But it does make a difference in audio if zeros and ones arrive

in time. And when not in time, a zero can become a one and vice versa, making the error

correction do its work and that again takes time. Simple buffering doesn't cure this

either since reading the average buffer causes noise and draws extra current from the power

supply. And so on. But when done well - like here - the impact on the sound is easily audible,

provided the stereo is of sufficient quality and properly set up.

It is of course comparing apples and oranges but you would have asked me anyway. So let's

compare the sound of tx-USBultra to the the sound of the sMS-200ultra. To make the comparison

as honest as possible, the setup remained fully identical. Only in the case of the tx-USBultra

the Intel NUC was connected over USB while in case of the sMS-200ultra it was over the

network. Both units were fed from the same sBooster and both were connected to the Brooklyn

DAC using the same AudioQuest Diamond USB cable. Nevertheless the tx-USBultra could

not produce the magic of the sMS-200Ultra. The tx-USBultra sounds great, it really does.

But it is fascinating the hear how free, real, uncompressed, fast and natural the sMS-200ultra

reproduces when combined with the Brooklyn DAC.

A thousand euros is a lot of money for a USB hub that improves the signal. Just like 1400

euros is a lot of money for a streamer. But I find 35.000 euros for a kilogram of gold

a lot of money too. Especially since I don't care for gold as such. Only for the value

it presents. But I do care for sound and find these SOtM products offering a quality that

- to my knowledge - can't be bought cheaper. If you can spare the extra 400 euros and don't

mind using a network, the sMS-200ultra remains the best choice. But if you want to use USB

for audio and your stereo is in the realm of my setup 2 or even setup 1, it certainly

is a second best. At least, up till now for already another manufacturer promised me a

USB conditioner soon. So if you want to stay informed, subscribe to this channel or follow

LOGAN PAUL GOT BANNED FOR THE 2th TIME! - Duration: 8:00.

if they want to change up the rules and say like oh you know what you can kill

that guy oh man so I know you're not pointing at me right now man

kill who damn son where'd you find this run

what's poppin YouTube it's your boy or someone and welcome to my brand new

reaction video in today's video we're gonna be watching no good poem bro this

guy Logan poor man man I ain't got no problems with youtubers man but this guy

is making it more and more difficult every single day to make it here on

YouTube my god let's get into this video man it scares the guy that provides news

is sort of like King star but way way better keemstar

you know what to do you can let's get into the news we want not today not

today my mans not today we're gonna be watching it scarce video on logan paul

being fired from youtube temporarily hit that subscribe button man and join the

nation during our family tour our squad and without further ado let's jump

straight into this video man let's giddy hey what's up guys it's scarce here and

you know what we have a lot more news about logan paul today i know wasn't

talking about him a lot recently but youtube just took action against Logan

again and this is humanoids cat okay so yeah YouTube tweeted this out today they

said in response to Logan's recent pattern of behavior we've temporarily

suspended ads on his come on man that's right guys one morning we pretty much

like Dan early firing at 4 a.m. in the morning man you took those website

that's a crazy man like obviously Logan makes millions every year off of his

YouTube they 14 million and the factors like that making sure he does not make

any more money right now is a big step in maybe the right direction or the

wrong direction we don't know at this point we don't know how serious YouTube

is going to I guess use these rules against other youtubers YouTube then

posted their new guidelines for Google with the guy

YouTube it's changed a lot let's pay attention they said here the bad actions

of a few creators can affect the entire community today you're low-balling new

step beautify my god that's channels that upload harmful content and they

posted a blog here saying preventing harm to the broader YouTube community

recently we face situations where the egregious actions of a handful of

youtubers harm the reputation of the broader critter community among

advertisers the media industry most importantly the general public in light

of this behavior and our commitment to tighten our policies and communicate

them more quickly and transparently we're introducing new consequences to

apply in the rare event that would want to wait up hold up for the entire

community okay he's talking about consequences man at first I'm a small

youtuber right I have to get to like 10,000 views so I can get monetized keep

in mind man monetization is when you get receive money from ad revenue from doing

videos and people watching your ass man but I mean it's not I didn't have an

issue with that because I'm such a small channel it doesn't even matter cuz we're

making like 20 cents my god so it doesn't even matter it doesn't even

matter then but then you say now I gotta have four thousand hours a year and 1000

subscribers but again I have no problem with that like I have no issue with it

cuz I'm not such a small channel that this doesn't affect me so come 28th of

February we won't even gonna have a problem with this man we're far away

from reaching 4,000 hours a year and we're less than 500 subscribers right

now I get it it's okay but these people like

logan paul and pewdiepie i mean like they're like the pioneers of youtube we

get it man yo yo yo you don't pave it away actually beautified it Peter Piper

aims the way for us man but yo y'all killing it out here me y'all making it

more difficult each and every time y'all do some stupid oh my god come on we may

suspend the channel's ability to serve ads which is what YouTube just did the

Logan recently ability to earn revenue and potentially remove a channel from

the YouTube Partner Program does an access to our YouTube spaces and then

the third step is video we may remove a channels eligibility to

be recommended on YouTube such as a page trending tab or watch next

so pretty much YouTube is God in this situation YouTube has the ability to

make your videos get views and to make your videos not get views because we can

basically say nothing cuz we're basically working for them it's a

privately owned company man it's not it's not it's not part of the government

so they can choose and delete and do whatever they want so what's the big

deal I mean like if they do a man come on man if I commit a crime when I go to

gym so if they want to change up the rules and say like oh you know what you

can kill that guy oh man so I know you're not pointing at me right now man

kill who no stop thinking that so I was just

pointing in your direction chill I'm not trying to kill you all right you do all

I want is a chance you to just just give me my chance you two we expect to issue

these new consequences only in a rare handful of egregious cases so this is

gonna be very rare apparently I also saw about the tweets from YouTube saying

this is going to be a very very rare thing it's not gonna be something where

they're gonna start taking down YouTube channels left and rattle obviously

people have mixed opinions on this personally I think this is what do you

think I think YouTube actually didn't take down Logan channel I feel like if

they took down Logan channel that would have been going too far I don't think

his channel deserves to be taken down entirely but they have temporarily

suspended his ads Casey nice that actually posted video said that was

really interesting this was number one in training today he says here but he

talked to one of the top guys at YouTube okay the CBO at YouTube

Robert Kingston okay what did Robert say this guy asking him for an ear view and

the guy actually decided to come on and Casey even says in his video that he

asked the guy showed up shion's that were off-limits and he said that Casey

could ask him anything a pair anything come out Monday so anything I want to

see what is said in this interview I'm most definitely going to watch what do

you guys think about the situation I know that a lot of my subscribers are

youtubers so what do you guys think about the situation's right now leave me

a comment tell me what you think about the situation of

course if you liked this video give it a big thumbs up I'm gonna give my peace of

mind on this man I feel like Logan Paul is I feel like

like like they can take an example bro I ain't trying to call nobody out right

now man but I see for example like Joey silence Julie silence right now when you

watch these videos this content is considered like harmful content but

every time you watch this video it is like yo cuz you guys go and support my

and try to download my app because I'm not getting any ad revenue from I mean

like it feels like Joey Salas is just purpose is just trying to make random

videos that are like three minutes long just to get us and download this

application so we can actually make some money off this application which I have

no problem with that but he's basically like bashing YouTube but still using

YouTube and I'm saying anyway guys thank you guys so much for watching I hope you

enjoyed this type of video we're just trying to diversify our channel right

now okay so thank you guys so much for watching follow us on our social media

which would be down here or right there my name is Horace m1 and man I'll see

y'all in the next one

FORTUNATELY THERE'S A BETTER

VOCALIST WHO SON THE CASE.

NOW, I KNOW YOU ARE PERSONALLY

REALLY PASSIONATE ABOUT BAIL

REFORM.

>> YES.

>> NOT A HILARIOUS SUBJECT.

>> IT'S IMPORTANT AND IT AFFECTS

A LOT OF PEOPLE.

>> YOU HAVE AN ORGANIZATION, YOU

PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH

IS.

>> YEAH.

SO WE HAVE AN ORGANIZATION

CALLED FREE AMERICA, WHICH IS

ABOUT CHANGING THE CONVERSATION

AROUND CRIMINAL JUSTICE AND

ENDING MASS INCOURSE RATION.

>> LET'S TALK ABOUT CASH BAIL.

>> UH-HUH.

>> WHAT IS IT?

AND WHY IS IT SO MESSED UP?

>> CASH BAIL IS THE IDEA THAT

BEFORE YOU GO TO TRIAL WHEN

YOU'RE STILL CONSIDERED INNOCENT

BY THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM,

YOU'RE HELD IN JAIL UNLESS YOU

CAN PAY A CERTAIN AMOUNT.

AND SO, IF YOU'RE POOR AND THAT

AMOUNT IS, YOU KNOW, A FEW

THOUSANDS DOLLARS THAT'S A LOT

OF MONEY AND YOU PROBABLY WON'T

GET OUT OF JAIL EVEN THOUGH

YOU'RE CONSIDERED INNOCENT BY

THE SYSTEM.

YOU'RE STUCK THERE IN JAIL UNTIL

YOUR TRIAL.

>> I WAS HELD IN JAIL FOR FIVE

DAYS ON $5,000 BOND.

THE POLICE ASKED FOR MY LICENSE

AND REGISTRATION.

BEING WE WERE JUST GOING RIGHT

DOWN THE STREET.

I DIDN'T HAVE THAT ON ME.

I WAS SIX WEEKS PREGNANT AT THE

TIME I WAS RESTAURANT.

THEY TREAT EVERYBODY LIKE JUST A

COHORT OR A CRIMINAL.

>> SO IF YOU'RE STUCK IN JAIL

WITH A $5,000 BAIL, WHAT KIND OF

TOLL DOES THAT TAKE ON A FAMILY?

>> CONSIDER THE IDEA THAT THIS

PERSON HAS A JOB.

AS SOON AS THEY'RE PUT IN JAIL

AND HELD THERE, THAT MEANS

THEY'RE PROBABLY GOING TO LOSE

THAT JOB BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T

AFFORD TO GET OUT OF JAIL.

AS MUCH AS WE DON'T LIKE WHO IS

IN THE WHITE HOUSE RIGHT NOW, AS

MUCH AS WE ARE WORRIED ABOUT

CONFEDERATE ENTHUSIASTS BEING --

>> ENTHUSIASTS -- THAT'S CUTE.

THAT'S CUTE.

>> BEING THE ATTORNEY GENERAL,

WE DON'T DEPEND ON THEM TO SET

ALL THE POLICIES.

WE'RE SEEING PEOPLE ORGANIZE

AROUND ENDING MONEY BAIL ON THE

STATE AND LOCAL LEVEL ALL AROUND

THE COUNTRY.

>> MY NAME IS CARSON JACKSON.

I WORK FOR TEXAS ORGANIZING

PROJECT.

I ORGANIZE COMMUNITIES AND WE

ALSO DO ELECTORAL ORGANIZING.

I WAS ARRESTED FOR TRAFFIC TISK.

AND, YOU KNOW, HANDCUFFED IN

FRONT OF MY KID'S DAY CARE

CENTER.

I DIDN'T CONSIDER MYSELF A

DANGER TO SOCIETY.

YOU KNOW, I DIDN'T JUST MURDER

SOMEBODY.

I DIDN'T JUST ROB SOMEBODY.

IT WAS A TRAFFIC TICKET.

IT CHANGE MIDLIFE.

I DEDICATED MY LIFE TO

ADVOCATING FOR SYSTEM CHANGE.

THE EIGHTH AMENDMENT CLEARLY

STATES THAT YOU CANNOT HOLD A

PERSON IN JAIL ON A HIGH BAIL

AMOUNT.

THAT'S SOMETHING THAT HARRIS

COUNTY HAS BEEN DOING.

BETWEEN 2009 AND 2015, 55 PEOPLE

DIED IN JAIL BECAUSE THEY COULD

NOT AFFORD THEIR BAIL.

NO ONE SHOULD DIE IN JAIL

BECAUSE THEY'RE TOO POOR TO PAY

A BILL.

>> RACISM IS A BIG PART OF IT,

TOO.

>> WHAT?

>> YES.

[ LAUGHTER ].

>> I NEVER HEARD OF THIS.

>> I KNOW.

AND EVER SINCE SLAVERY, FOLKS

HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND WAYS TO

CONTAIN BLACK FOLKS.

>> CORRECT.

>> WHAT WE NEED TO DO IS FIGHT

IT.

>> WE HAD HOURS OF VIDEO FOOTAGE

OF THESE BAIL HEARINGS.

OF COURSE WHEN I GOT MY HANDS ON

THIS FOOTAGE, I KNEW IT WAS

IMPORTANT TO SHARE IT.

>> YOU HAVE A MISDEMEANOR CHARGE

OF POSSESSING LESS THAN 2 OUNCES

OF MARIJUANA.

BOND IS $1,000.

ARE YOU REQUESTING A COURT

APPOINTED LAWYER?

>> I GUESS, SURE.

>> GIVE ME A YES OR NO.

>> YEAH.

>> I ASKED A QUESTION THAT CALLS

FOR A YES OR A NO.

I DON'T EXPECT ANYTHING BUT A

YES OR A NO NOT A MAYBE SO OR

YEAH.

>> I SAID YEAH.

>> I HEARD WHAT YOU SAID.

YOUR BOND JUST WENT UP TO

$2,000.

>> HOW LONG CAN PEOPLE SIT

PRETRIAL IN JAIL?

ENDLESSLY, RIGHT.

>> THEY CAN SIT THERE FOR YEARS.

IT'S EXTREMELY UNSAFE.

THE 14th AMENDMENT SAID WE

SHOULD HAVE EQUAL PROTECTION

UNDER THE LAW.

RIGHT NOW THAT'S NOT THE CASE

BECAUSE POOR PEOPLE GET A

DIFFERENT JUSTICE SYSTEM THAN

RICH PEOPLE GET.

>> THE HARRIS COUNTY JAIL MAKES

THE DECISIONS ABOUT WHO IS

CAGED, WHO IS FREED PURELY BASED

ON HOW MUCH ACCESS THEY HAVE TO

MONEY.

WE THINK THAT'S AN EQUAL

PROTECTION VIOLATION UNDER THE

UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION.

LISA WAS ARRESTED FOR A

MISDEMEANOR OFFENSE IN HARRIS

COUNTY.

SHE WANTED TO FIGHT THIS CASE.

>> I DECIDED TO DO THIS BECAUSE

I FELT LIKE A LOT OF WOMEN IN

THERE WERE VERY HOPELESS.

MAYBE THE LAW WILL BE CHANGED

BECAUSE OF THIS INSTEAD OF JUST

THROWING WOMEN STRAIGHT IN JAIL.

>> OUR CASE AT ITS HEART IS

PREDICATED ON THE NOTION THAT NO

HUMAN BEING SHOULD BE KEPT IN A

CAGE BECAUSE SHE CAN'T MAKE A

MONETARY PAYMENT.

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT WE

HAVE ACTUALLY CHALLENGED THE

BAIL SYSTEM.

WE LET THEM KNOW, WE ARE NOW

EDUCATED.

AND YOU'RE GOING TO STOP TEARING

OUR COMMUNITIES APART.

>> FOR ME I'M LIKE EVERY BLACK

PERSON HAS A COUSIN, UNCLE,

SOMEBODY IN JAIL.

WHY IS THIS SO PERSONAL FOR YOU?

WELL, AS BLACK PEOPLE WE KNOW

WHY IT'S PERSONAL.

>> BECAUSE WE ALL HAVE FAMILY

MEMBERS GONE THROUGH.

FROM IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERS TO

COUSINS TO FOLKS THAT GREW UP IN

MY NEIGHBORHOOD.

I HAVE DEALT WITH THIS IN EVERY

WAY.

AND IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE THIS

WAY.

>> IN APRIL, THE FEDERAL JUDGE

ISSUED AN EXTRAORDINARY

PRELIMINARY INJUNCTION BASICALLY

A FEDERAL JUDGE FOUND THAT THIS

IS SUCH AN URGENT PROBLEM THAT

I'M GOING TO ORDER IT TO STOP.

>> A FEDERAL JUDGE HAS JUST PUT

OUT A RULING THAT SAYS THE

COUNTY'S BAIL SYSTEM IS UNFAIR

TO THE POOR.

>> WITH THIS 193-PYEONAGE RULIN

A FEDERAL JUDGE, THOUSANDS OF

PEOPLE WILL NOW GET OUT OF JAIL

SOONER AND HUNDREDS WON'T HAVE

TO SIT IN JAIL WAITING FOR

TRIAL.

>> HOWEVER, INSTEAD OF COMING

INTO COURT AND SAYING, WE

RECOGNIZE THAT WE'VE BEEN

CAUSING ENORMOUS HARM TO PEOPLE

AND THEIR FAMILIES, HARRIS

COUNTY DECIDED TO APPEAL.

THEY'VE SPENT MILLIONS OF

DOLLARS ON CORPORATE LAWYERS TO

DEFEND THE INDEFENSIBLE.

>> RIGHT NOW WE'RE WAITING FOR

THE FIFTH CIRCUIT TO DECIDE THE

CASE.

REGARDLESS, THE NEXT STEP THE

LIKELY THE U.S. SUPREME COURT.

THE RULING COULD HAVE A HUGE

EFFECT ON THE FUTURE OF THE

AMERICAN MONEY BAIL SYSTEM.

>> DO YOU THINK THE SUPREME

COURT GETTING INVOLVED WITH CASH

BAIL MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

IT'S NEVER BEEN RULED AT THAT

LEVEL?

>> THE SUPREME COURT, WHEN THEY

MAKE A DECISION, IT'S THE LAW OF

THE LAND.

IF THEY REALLY ARE ON THE SIDE

OF JUSTICE AND FAIRNESS, WE

WOULD END MONEY BAIL.

AND IT WOULD BE A HUGE

BREAKTHROUGH.

>> REGARDLESS OF WHAT SIDE

YOU'RE ON RIGHT LEFT, WHAT'S

HAPPENING HERE IS MORALLY WRONG.

AND IT'S UP TO US AS CITIZENS,

AS PEOPLE TO STAND UP FOR WHAT'S

Travelogue: Crimea - Duration: 12:02.

DREW VO: I'm Drew Scanlon.

I'm exploring the world through the lens of games, and I'm doing it with the support

of people like you on Patreon.

Help us out at patreon.com/clothmap.

Cloth Map came to Ukraine primarily for Chernobyl (and its puppies), but the aim was also to

get a sense of the modern Ukraine as a whole.

After all, a subject's surroundings and history add so much context and richness to

the experience.

But I didn't feel like I could get a sense of the modern Ukraine without visiting a place

that recently, depending on who you talk to, stopped being Ukraine.

Days after demonstrators gathered in Maidan Square in Kiev, soldiers without insignias

marched into Crimea.

Less than a month later, Russia claimed the territory, prompting outcry from the international

community.

Appropriately, during my time in Crimea, I often felt confused and unsure of what was

going on around me.

Is this place safe or dangerous?

Am I somehow breaking international law by being here?

What country am I even in?

Regardless of the answers to those questions, Russia is here.

Russian flags fly above buildings, billboards of Vladimir Putin flank the roads, and the

vital port of Sevastopol is packed with Russian ships.

And the occasional fisherman.

What Crimea is not packed with is tourists.

International sanctions have made it difficult for non-Russians like me to visit.

For example, my credit card didn't work, and the nearest US-compatible ATM was 350

km away.

I had to make all my purchases with cash rubles I had extracted from the Moscow airport on

my way in.

Inconveniences like these have undoubtedly crippled Crimea's tourist industry.

It was the perfect time of year to go, but none of the places I went could be described as bustling.

To save my finite cash, I ate mostly at pay-by-weight restaurants called Stolovayas.

Thankfully I had my guide to help me out a lot of the time, which enabled us to have lunches like this consisting

of local mushrooms, snails from the black sea, and a this drink made from cornelian

cherries.

Of course, it's not just recent events that define Crimea's history.

Livadia Palace, once the summer home of the last Czar of Russia, also holds world renown

as the site of the Yalta Conference.

Numerous monuments to the Crimean War of the 1850s dot the landscape, from this marker

in Sevastopol commemorating scuttled ships, to this vista overlooking the Valley of Death,

site of the Charge of the Light Brigade.

The charge was a doomed assault by British forces against Russian defenders during the

Battle of Balaclava, a port just a few kilometers away.

The port of Balaclava, after which the British named the face-covering masks they used there,

harbors monuments to modern conflicts as well.

Deep in the rock is a submarine base used during the cold war.

The base is open to visitors, but only for part of the week, some say because the Russian

navy is currently using part of it.

The museum is impressive, practically as close as one can get to being in a classic

submarine sim...

..or The Hunt for Red October.

It's also a little unsettling, as mockups of nuclear warheads lay casually around.

DREW: Wait.

It's a snow cone machine.

DREW VO: But Crimea is not all horrific battles and nuclear doom.

In fact, the area is home to some incredible natural beauty.

A hike to the entrance of the port of Balaclava reveals gorgeous scenery.

Including wild dolphins...

..and more people fishing.

The rest of Crimea is similarly stunning.

Plenty of beautiful architecture is to be found, too, like this famous castle called

the Swallow's Nest...

..Alexander III's former haunt Massandra Palace...

..and Vorontsov Palace,

where Churchill stayed during the Yalta conference.

Nearby, a couple was getting married...

...and a few guys were fishing.

Right outside of Yalta is Anton Chekhov's seaside residence, which reminded me

of the surreal world of Riven.

Minus the ichthyosaurs.

In Sevastopol, there's even a ferris wheel you can ride to get a better look at Crimea's

emerald-green countryside.

Keen-eyed viewers may recognize this as the stand-in for the Pripyat ferris wheel from

the dream sequence in Cloth Map's Chernobyl video.

The visual splendor didn't stop there.

Just outside the town of Bacheserai is a church built into the side of a cliff.

Hiking up from the bottom of the valley for a few hours will take you past angry cows

and into dense vegetation.

If you want to skip the walk, you'll have to hire a jeep.

Either way, it's worth the effort.

DREW: Look at this.

DREW VO: At the top of the ridge is an ancient town carved into the rock called Chufut-Kale.

When the rain rolled in, we took shelter in the ruins.

We stayed the night in Bacheserai in a bed and breakfast owned by a family of Crimean

Tartars, the region's indigenous minority.

Not only was the food the best I had in Crimea, but despite not sharing any language,

they were the warmest people I had met on the entire trip.

I mean, nobody else gave me chocolate.

The homemade coffee was pretty great too.

Indeed, the lack of tourist support made it hard to inquire about games of any kind, but

chess seems to be popular.

I spotted a board owned by a Soviet diplomat at the Yalta Conference palace, and walked

by a chess tournament during a night out.

I felt quite out of place in Crimea.

I was rarely understood and was discomforted by the lack of a safety net imposed by the

sanctions.

But if you can get past those difficulties, Crimea is a gem, unfortunately hidden by international

dispute.

As usual, the few people I did get to interact with there were warm and friendly.

WOMAN: Second floor, please.

DREW: Spasibo (thank you).

DREW VO: It was a reminder that people are different from the place they live.

No matter what flag flies above their buildings, good people everywhere are good people…

..who love to fish.

This concludes Cloth Map's Ukraine series.

In case you missed it, we traveled to Chernobyl to get an up close and personal look at the

setting that has inspired so many games and other media.

We even met some puppies there,

and put together a video with some of Chernobyl's unique sounds.

We visited a nuclear missile base to get a more real (and maybe too real) sense of apocalypse

than we're used to in our games.

DMYTRO: You nuked Washington D.C.

GUIDE: Goodbye, America.

We released two travelogue videos showcasing what modern Ukraine is like to walk around

in, and the things that can happen when you're up for adventure.

And we took a detour to one of the world's glitziest competitive events, Eurovision,

to see what it's like from the audience perspective.

What is Tritec-Hair? Who is Tritec suitable for and what are the advantages? Hairsystems Heydecke - Duration: 2:39.

Hello my name is Andreas Heydecke from Heydecke TV.

Welcome and thank you for joining us today.

Yes, I would like to introduce

an absolute novelty to you today:

the Tritec method, which we have been testing for a few months

testing for a few months

and want to determine whether

the method is suitable for our company. And I can

yes! This method is sensational, perfect. .

It is awesome and was invented by a colleague of mine

invented by a colleague of mine.

I am also very grateful to my colleague

for choosing me to

try out the Tritec method here in Hamburg

with our customers in our studio.

Yes, what is special about this Tritec method?

This is the fastening itself.

It is ideal for

customers with diffuse hair loss

or androgenetic alopecia.

Or for customers who have had

a hairweaving system or

micropoint system for years before. These are certain

fastening methods.

We never liked that, I have already explained it in the past videos.

Especially hairweaving, because it

can cause extreme pain

for the customer

and can also cause

hair to be pulled out over time.

That's why we decided

not to execute it.

We do it for customers who

come from another studio, but

our main focus is to

work in a way that is kind to the skin.

And therefore I am very grateful that we are

allowed to work with the Tritec method.

So I can tell you if you

have diffuse hair loss,

if you have a hairweaving system and

you want to change, then come to us.

We introduce you to the Tritec method

in a free consultation.

I'm pretty sure you'll be thrilled.

If you liked this post,

just put your thumb up.

Also subscribe to our other channels such as

Instagram and Facebook. I wish you a good time.

Bye, your Andreas Heydecke.
