Waching daily Feb 16 2018

Hello everyone!

In today's video I will give you a very quick tour of my current workspace.

I am calling it a workspace setup and not a desk tour because I currently do not own

a desk as I live in a very small apartment.

Due to the lack of space, I use one table for studying, working and eating my meals

so I had to organize my materials and supplies with a bit more flexibility, as I will show

you in a minute.

My desk slash table was bought in Ikea, so I will leave the link down below in case you

are interested.

As you can see I leave my working surface mostly empty and I use my cabinets to store

my supplies, computer, textbooks and so on.

I also use the surface of both cabinets as an auxiliary table top if I don't want to

pile up things in my table top.

First of all, let's talk about my computer setup.

I use my mac to do all of my YouTube work, to write my papers, print my materials and

write condensed notes before my exams.

As such, I wanted to make sure I would have the most efficient setup I could so I didn't

lose any time and also to make sure I could spend a couple of hours sitting in front of

my computer with no hassles.

Here I am using a dock case, which is mainly a faux leather case to carry my mac that also

acts as a hub so I can maximize ports.

You just need to connect the hub to the computer using this small dongle, which is actually

kept in a small pouch inside the case and I am then able to access my SD card slot,

USB ports and so on.

(1.15).

When I need to recharge my laptop, I access an extension cord that I lifted and placed

right next to my working surface so it would be easier for me to recharge my laptop, phone

and other devices.

This was such a simple modification that I made in my living room but it made such a

difference when it comes to comfort and the efficiency of my cable organization.

The evaluation method for most of the courses in my master's degree is by submitting essays

or final papers.

In that sense, I spend a lot of time sitting down writing so it's really important for

me to make sure that I have everything I need in reach.

This is specially important when I am approaching my submission deadlines, as I prefer to review

my essays when they are printed out rather than on the screen.

I always feel like I find more mistakes when I am reading printed essays so it's part of

my writing process to do my final revision like that.

Since I don't have a desk or a fixed place to plug my laptop to, I decided to buy a wireless

printer so I didn't have any hassles while printing.

It was really easy and fast to setup and made such a difference when I had to sit down and

think of how I would organize my space.

It prints exactly as any type of printer but I don't have to worry about plugging the printer

to my laptop or having a particular place to put either devices.

While I am working I also like to have some paper nearby to write down any ideas or to-dos

that I remember while I'm on my computer.

Right here you are seeing some new notebooks from mishmash, the easy-breeze sky blue regular-size

notebook and a timeless planner in regular-size.

These are both products from their new collection and I thought the timeless planner was specially

interesting as it actually covers ten years.

Each page has a footer that allows you to fill in the day, month and year that you are

covering.

That means that this planner is as flexible as it can be, allowing for three columns of

different text to be covered in a wide span of time.

So if you are an irregular planner, I definitely recommend this format.

I always keep my backpack next to me in case I need anything from the regular supplies

I take to class.

If you are curious about the things I carry with me to college you can check out my what's

in my backpack video, which will be linked in the description as well as in the upper

right corner of your screen.

All my usual writing tools are kept in this makeup bag that I keep in my cabinet.

These are my most used pens, highlighters and post it notes.

The rest of my supplies are organized in trays that I can reach out to whenever I need something

more specific.

However, most of the times everything I need can be found on my regular pencil case so

the trays are only a solution to organize the supplies that I need.

I hope you enjoyed today's video!

Don't forget to subscribe and I will see you next week.

Bye!

CLUB INTER | Facchetti, Bergomi and Zanetti - Hall of Fame 2018 Defenders - Duration: 10:18.

He'll be remembered by everyone as someone who summed up Inter.

Upstanding, proper, honest men.

The best defender we've had at the club.

I don't think anyone can match him.

It was no coincidence that he was made captain.

You only needed to watch him in training and see how he conducted himself

to realise he set the standard.

One of the best in the world. He was incredible one against one.

He was a brave team-mate and a real hero. What a great captain he was.

We're talking about a really important figure in Inter history.

It was all about the team. Every time.

Only much later did he think about his reputation and his personal interests.

Facchetti was an incredible player from that perspective.

I remember his first few games and one in particular against Fiorentina.

Fiorentina had a lightning-quick winger and Facchetti struggled against him at full-back,

so we began to wonder.

But then Herrera said to us, "This guy will make the national team

and he'll win more caps for Italy than anyone else."

He really backed him and he was spot on about Giacinto's ability.

He was an outstanding professional. He was incredibly determined and so focused.

On top of that, he had exceptional physical attributes.

Out of all his many goals, the one I'll never forget

was his strike in the 1965 European Cup semi-final.

We had to come from behind having lost the first leg 3-1 to Liverpool.

We were all but out of the competition because the away goals rule didn't exist back then.

In order to knock Liverpool out, we had to win 3-0.

There was Peirò's cheeky finish, Corso scored from a free-kick,

then came Facchetti's divine strike.

It was a wonder goal which began with two passes between Suarez and Corso.

Giacinto then ran onto Corso's through ball and finished beautifully.

That was the winner.

I met him when I too was called up to the Italy squad.

We became friends and whenever we played them, I no longer wanted to play on the right.

I played right back and he played left back.

Meroni and I agreed beforehand. I said, "I don't want to come up against Facchetti,

partly because I can't get the ball off him and partly because we're friends."

So I played on the left and Meroni went on the right.

I remember his big, bushy eyebrows.

All jokes aside, I spent a large part of my teenage years with Beppe.

We met at our Inter trial in 1977.

We had a whole series of trials and they signed two players, me and him.

I remember turning round and seeing him.

I thought he was the coach driver or one of the lads from the Under-19s

because he already had facial hair.

He was a stern figure.

I spent a number of years with him both on and off the pitch.

He was one of the best in the world. He was incredible one against one.

Almost every player was massively important in our team.

We needed a top keeper like Walter Zenga

but "Zio" Bergomi was one of the best I ever played with.

He was an idol and he was always one of the first out there

both in training and matches.

After Beppe Baresi, he really was a proper captain.

You can tell a captain from how they behave during the week and in training.

It's not only about what they do in front of the crowd at San Siro or elsewhere.

He was always the first in at training, set an example and helped out the youngsters,

new signings and foreign players.

He was very important in terms of all that.

He was a great man from every perspective.

I don't think it's easy for anyone to talk about Zanetti.

You can talk to me or other coaches and players.

People with a place in Inter history.

However, none of us compare to Zanetti.

The only bit of stick we can give him is that his crossing wasn't the best!

When I think of Zanetti, I think of that run where he beat four, five or six players.

Then at one stage, the Inter crowd came up with a great chant for him.

I'm not great at singing but it went: Then at one stage, the Inter crowd came up with a great chant for him.

I'm not great at singing but it went:

"Tra i nerazzurri c'è,

un giocatore che

dribbla come Pelé.

Dai Zanetti olé, eh oh."

When you thought you had them pinned back in their own half,

he almost seemed to say, "Don't worry, push up

because I'll get us over the halfway line."

You always become very nostalgic when someone retires

and you hope that it's not forever.

Javier Zanetti played until he was relatively old,

so there was also a lot of gratitude for a player that had given so much to the club.

Of course it was sad but the overriding feeling towards him was gratitude.

How I Made $6,000 from 15,000 YouTube Views - Duration: 6:06.

In this video I'm gonna share a secret

of how I made

$6,000

from just 15,000

YouTube views

on one video

So last year in May 2017 nine months ago

I made a video called

best condo development in Cebu

now this developer Mega World has a referral program

where

anyone who has

bought a Mega World Condo before

can refer

customers or clients to Mega World

and then the referrer

gets 2 percent commission

on whatever they refer

so I made a video

about their condo development in Cebu

and from that video

which only has 15 thousand views

I've referred three clients

so three people

bought a condo at that development

after they watched my video

now I've know the first thing you're thinking is that

oh that's sleazy

Matt you're only recommending that condo

because they're giving you a 2%

Commission

on your sales

it is true they're giving me a 2% Commission on their sales

but also every single developer

in the Philippines has a program similar to that

but it's also in my best interest

to sell

the best condo

because a

good product to sell

is a lot easier

than a bad product to sell

and also

my video

is this the top of the funnel

it's not like someone's just gonna

watch my one video

and then be like yep I'm just gonna buy

the condo for $100,000

they're still gonna do their due diligence

they're still gonna do

research on other developments

but my goal is to

introduce them to that condo

then after they research the other condos

they come back to my recommendation and they're like yeah

after doing my research

this guy's recommendations is still the best one

and so because of that

it is in my best interest to actually find

the best condo in the Philippines

to recommend

which is what I did

growing up

I never saw myself as

a Salesman

that's last job I ever wanted to do

because my impression of

salesmen

were people who cold called

which I still get

door-to-door sales

TV ads

marketing that is intrusive to the person's life

someone just living thier life

and then they get a call right?

very intrusive and annoying

but the way

YouTube marketing is it's very

interesting and different

the only way you'd find my video

called the best condo development in Cebu

is if you're actually looking

for the best condo development in Cebu

so along the search terms of

condo development Cebu right

and so if someone's already looking to buy a condo

and then they find my video

it's no longer annoying

because that person is

looking to buy a condo

and he's looking for more information

and all I'm doing is just

doing the research for them

and just pointing them

in the right direction

Mega World

wins because they get the sale

the client

wins because

they get to find out

what's the best

condo development

in Cebu to invest in

and then I win because I get a commission

and that's how I see sales

on YouTube

is that everyone

wins

so several of you have

messaged me on Instagram

asking me for

tips on being a youtuber

this is my number one tip

look for a high-ticket item to sell

think of

condos right?

cars something

high-ticket

that also has

crappy videos

about the subject

so if you type in

condo development Cebu

my video is the number one video

because my video is the only

well put together video

every single other video on that front page

is garbage

and so of course my

well put together video with drone shots

is gonna

surface to the number one spot

when it comes to the key terms

condo development Cebu

so in my opinion this is the fastest

get-rich-quick

method on YouTube

find a high-ticket item

to sell on YouTube

which also has crappy videos

currently on YouTube

that's pretty much it it's very

simple

so one way to cut through the noise on YouTube and

with how many videos there are

is to be a location-specific

in my situation I chose Cebu

what's also nice

is that not only did I make $6,000 from

the Commission's of this video

but I also

made it into a business trip

so all my expenses of going to Cebu

staying at an Airbnb

all my food as well

was a business expense

and I could legally

write that business expense off

even though I worked during the day

and then I went out at night

it is still a business trip

and that's one of the

that's a whole another subject I need to talk about

being a YouTuber

but I do have a course

on being a YouTuber

at how to youtube.com

if you want to check it out

hey guys welcome to the introduction

for the course

and I'm gonna explain to you guys

why infotainment is the best

genre to do if you're gonna be

a YouTuber

I gave all my best tips

in that course

for just $50

so go check that out

if you want to learn more about being a YouTuber

and

thank you for

sending me the DMS

on Instagram

please send me more questions

because I do plan to make more of these quick tip videos

without putting much thought into the script because

I feel like I should be putting out more content

so with that being said I'll see you guys in the next video

bye

Pharma Co Has License Suspended as Vaccine Blamed For Sterilizat - Duration: 5:10.

Pharma Co Has License Suspended as Vaccine Blamed For Sterilization of 500,000 Women

& Children

A state-sponsored forced sterilization on a massive scale has allegedly taken place

in Africa according to opposition leaders and the public who are railing against the

government.

An industrial pharmaceutical laboratory has since had its license suspended by the Kenya

Accreditation Service as a result of the controversy.

Kenyas opposition leader Raila Odingawho swore himself in as president on Tuesdayclaimed

that at least 500,000 young girls and women may be infertile, following a tetanus vaccine

administered by the government in 2014 and 2015.

The controversy began coming to a head in 2016 when Agriq-Quest Ltd, a Nairobi-based

pharmaceutical company got in a dispute with Kenyas Ministry of Health over their tetanus

and polio vaccinations.

A group of Catholic doctors originally made the accusations claiming that the vaccines

may contain a hormone that is dangerous to young women and can cause potential sterilization.

As the Agence de Presse Africaine reported:

Odinga said girls and women aged between 14 and 49 from the fastest growing populations

in the country will not have children, because of a state-sponsored sterilization exercise

that was sold to the country as a tetanus vaccination.

The Catholic Church was ignored when it mounted a strong but lonely campaign against the mass

tetanus vaccination, after it raised concerns about the safety of the vaccine that was being

used, he said.

At the time, the Catholic Church in Kenya claimed that the tetanus vaccine used by the

government of Kenya and UN agencies was contaminated with a hormone (hCG) that can cause miscarriages

and render some women sterile.

The Churchs position was informed by what had happened in Mexico, Nicaragua and

Philippines, where the various governments together with WHO/UNICEF had conducted similar

campaigns using tetanus toxoid impregnated with beta human chorionic gonadotropin (BhCG)

that causes permanent infertility among girls and women, Odinga continued.

Odinga says they confirmed through analysis of samples that the vaccines used were tainted

with the hormone.

Today, we can confirm to the country that the Catholic Church was right.

Hundreds of thousands of our girls and women, aged between 14 and 49, from the fastest growing

populations in the country will not have children, because of the state-sponsored sterilization

that was sold to the country as tetanus vaccination, he declared.

After Agriq-Quests license was suspended, the company pointed the finger at the government.

They claimed that the governments decision to suspend their license was due to the fact

that Agriq-Quest refused to doctor the tests for them.

According to Business Dailly Africa, when Agriq-Quest conducted the tests on the vaccines,

they found the Catholic Churchs suspicions to be correct.

As BDA reported, The companys results from tests carried out on the vials showed

that the samples of the vaccines were contaminated as had been claimed by the Catholic Church

and Agriq-Quest claimed the government wanted the results altered to show that they were

fit to be administered to women and children.

According to Odinga, as reported by APA, the government, for some mysterious reason, was

hell-bent on misleading the country, while intentionally sterilizing Kenyan girls and

women.

The vaccines were a great crime committed against women.

Women should choose when to have children and how to space them, he said.

It is important to point out that the belief that tetanus vaccinations sterilizing citizens

has been a long time controversy in Kenya and has been disproven prior to these claims.

Also, after the discussion came to a head, in spite of claims of tests showing contamination,

UNICEF and the World Health Organization later said that the vaccines were safe and procured

from a pre-qualified manufacturer.

However, according to Odinga, they accessed the analysis from four highly-regarded institutions,

such as Agriq Quest Ltd, the Nairobi Hospital Laboratories, the University of Nairobi and

Lancet Kenya.

These results all indicate that the Tetanus Toxoid Vaccine had high contents of beta human

chorionic gonadotropin hormone (BhCG) that causes sterility in women.

Glitches, Skips and Broken Stuff in Super Mario 3D World. - Duration: 6:59.

Super Mario 3D world is a fantastic game, filled with many creative courses, brilliant

level design, dangerous threats and of course a lot of cats!

But while the game may appear pretty solid at first, there are a lot of cool glitches

and amazing sequence breaks hidden inside of it.

In this video I want to take a look on a couple of my favorite glitches in this beautiful

game.

So are you ready?

Let's do this!

Let's start with one of the best known 3D world glitches.

In world bowser it is possible to jump on top of this small electric pole thingy.

Once there all we have to do is to fight off the evil barrier that tries to prevent our

character from getting out of bounce, and we are out of bounce on the world map.

There are a couple of cool things possible here, we can either try to walk on top of

the pipe for as long as possible, or drop down and save while falling which freaks the

game out a little bit.

But my favorite thing to do here is to try to jump from the world bowser pipe to the

top of the world 3 pipe.

Landing on this pipe is ridiculous hard to do, has absolute no use and doesn't lead

to any further glitches.

I love it.

Let's take a look on a couple of smaller glitches.

In world 1-1 it's possible to get our cat characters into a really weird state where

they aren't able to decide whether they are climbing or standing.

Which leads the game to do both and neither at the same time.

Poor toad.

Also in world 1-1 is one of the weirdest and most useless glitches I've seen in my life.

There is an invisible water puddle in this corner outside of the stage.

The glitch might not be that interesting but what's more interesting is how this was

found.

In the captain toad stage in world five it's possible to clip toad through two of the moving

blocks.

This serves absolutely no purpose other than to annoy our brave backpack carrying mushroom.

Poor toad.

In the world eight ghost house it is possible to imprison one of the evil snowman enemies

inside a block by lurking them towards this spot, and activating the pow block once the

snowman is inside.

This seems to be a horrible glitched state.

Just look at the guy.

"I can't feel my legs anymore."

If small toad long jumps towards a snowball and grabs it at the same time, he gets a pretty

cool backwards boost which makes him go weeeeeee.

In world bowser dash one there is one of my personal favorite glitches in any game ever.

If we jump from this platform towards this fire bros, the fire bros never activates.

… Now the firebrs is completely unable to move.

Peach is now able to take revenge on him for all the times he threw unfair fireballs into

her path.

He is completely helpless.

There is nothing he can do.

Hehehehehe.

Next let's take a look on a cute little koopa glitch.

Rosalina wants to steal this koopas shell, but the koopa really wants his shell as well.

For the longest time people believed that this is a problem without a solution.

But these people were wrong.

All that we need to do is to carefully pet the shell at the same time the koopa re enters

it.

If everything worked out we successfully cloned the koopa shell.

Hooray, now both have a shell to play with.

Sadly it's not possible to clone shells forever by using this trick because once the

koopa loses his newly glitched shell the other shell disappears.

In world 1-3 there is one of the most insane glitches in the game hidden.

If we climb towards the top of the stage and drop a tanooki leaf there, and then cat dive

into it but cancel the cat dive shortly before we hit the tanooki suit we are able to conserve

our momentum and to fly really far into the abyss.

The game doesn't like this.

It basically gives up and doesn't even try to render correct images once cat peach is

away far enough.

Interestingly, the beautiful drawings cat peach drew on the horizon are deleted once

we hit the wii u button, which allows us to start a new drawing.

What a useful glitch.

Calling the ice physics in this game broken would be a euphemism.

Check this out.

Whenever one of five heroes is walking on ice, all he or she needs to do is to mash

the crouch button like crazy to built up insane amounts of speed.

3-1 for example can be completed within seconds because of this neat little ice trick.

But it gets even better.

If we long jump on this surface and then position our plumber in such a way, mario becomes trapped

in this little spot and is able to built up speed forever.

The snowman doesn't seem to like this.

"I hate these dudes."

So once we are stuck here just keep mashing, and mashing and mashing.

After a while Mario becomes so fast that he breaks the rules of space and time and the

game starts to lag like crazy.

The game should slow down at about the same time when the pain in your arm starts to really

kick in because of the insane button mashing, but stay strong, we are almost done.

Because once the game is unbearable slow we can jump which makes mario go we.

Let's take a look at this once again in slow mo.

Weeeeeeeeeeee.

But it gets even better, because if we keep mashing and mashing, until we stop to feel

our arms and built up even more speed we are able to launch mario like a rocket, ignoring

all the laws of physics, through all the evil death planes, and into space.

… "What the heck, just happened?"

And now the most useless glitch in the game.

It's possible to jump through all slot machines on the overworld.

This is useless, and an incredible amount of fun.

I'm not even kidding, I can't walk alongside any slot machine anymore without trying to

jump through it.

There is this really strange feeling of satisfaction that only a well timed jump through slot machine

can give you.

.. Don't try this in real live though.

It's way less fun than in 3D world.

Okay and now let's take a look on my favorite 3D world glitch.

At this part of the boss stage of world two, scratch and jump immediately afterwards towards

this cannon box as toad.

If everything worked out toad's head disappears.

And his arms.

And he becomes invincible.

That's one of the strangest glitches I ever encountered.

Toad stays this way until he touches the flagpole.

You can even take your headless toad to boom boom.

Which is funny because boom boom is like, well boom boom but toad is more like, nah

sorry I really don't have the right frame of mind for this currently boom boom.

Could you please stop I'm looking for my arms.

Poor toad.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this little video, if you enjoyed it don't forget to leave

me a thumbs up and maybe you feel especially headless today, and want to hit the subscribe

button as well.

I hope you have a wonderful day and to see you soon.

Goodbye!

THE SPECIAL VIDEO (Q&A) FOR 50 K VIEWS (AT 64 K+ VIEWS) (ENGLISH TRANSLATION) - Duration: 7:19.

Hello!

Thank you for watching us and

today we'll try to answer the

questions from the lastest video.

We don't wanna promote us, we

just wanna help the young beekeepers!

Let's start with the first question!

Mr. Ion Stratu asked:

'Why it's call "stumulating the queen

in order to lay eggs"?'.

It's very simple!

I gave all the hives about

15-25 kg of honey, so they've enough food,

but to stimulate the queen in

order to lay eggs, we put

something in order she thinks that

there is something collected and then

the bees force her to lay eggs.

This is the stimulation; in winter

it's made with apiculture cakes and

in March it's made with weak syrup.

eliade sarbu asked:'How many families

of bees do you have?'.

I've 17, from which 5 are swarms.

I'm not a professional beekeeper, I'm

an amateur beekeeper and all I

make is made with pleasure!

Nelo Modo saw me alittle hurried

and asked: 'Who is hurrying you?'.

The years that pass very fast!

Mr. mihai moise asked: 'How many

subscribers do we think that we'll reach?'.

I don't know, but I hope

to be as much possible!

mihai moise asked: 'Which was the

most beautiful moment from your beekeeper career?'.

All of them are beautiful moments,

becase of the I'm a beekeeper!

Miki Luculescu asked: 'How old are you?'.

More than 70 (72).

Maria Pioară asked: 'How can I

differentiate a famale bee from a male one?'.

The only one which stings is

the bee and it's the smallest

from the hive, the next one

is the drone and then there's the queen.

Miki Luculescu: 'How do the

bees mate?'.

They don't mate, the only one

which mates is the queen, with

a drone in flight.

Gorj Bercea asked: 'How did you

discover your passion for beekeeping?'.

Because of my dad.

mihai moise asked: 'How long have

you been a beekeeper?'.

About 60 years and I continue to be a beekeeper!

Gorj Bercea asked: 'What do you

think about haters?'.

Everyone has their oppinions!

mihai moise asked: 'What's cameraman's name?'.

Dan Marco Biriescu, my grandson!

BM Muffin D asked: 'How tough

are bees' lifes?'.

HOW TO MAKE POLYMER CLAY CUPCAKES 💗 JUSTICE - Duration: 4:22.

Hey guys, today I'm going to be showing you how

to make a really cute cupcake.

Let's get started.

Here's what you'll need.

Two different types of clay,

one for the frosting and one for the cake part.

An X-Acto knife,

make sure you have parent's permission and supervision.

These things are sharp.

Liquid clay, and something to mix with.

You don't have to use liquid clay, by the way.

This is an option.

Let's get started.

First, you're going to start by making a ball.

Then, what you're going to do is just roll

it into a small cone shape,

and then flatten that.

It should look something like this.

Now, this next part is optional,

but it makes putting on the little lines

on the cupcake a lot easier.

So, what I'm going to do is put it in

the freezer for about three to five minutes.

So, we just got our clay out of the freezer,

and we have to work really quickly.

All you're going to do is simply cut off the top.

This way, it gets a much cleaner cut.

Then, you're going to take another tool

and just put little lines around it.

You want them close together,

but not too close.

There is the bottom part of our cupcake.

Next, I'm going to take a little bit

of my color that I'm using for my frosting,

and just going to put it on top.

And,

now we're here.

Now, I'm going to make some

frosting with liquid clay.

First, you're going to start by just,

squeeze.

Squeezing this out.

Then, you're just going to put some bits

of clay in it, and not put your finger in it.

That's why we have a tool,

and slowly just start mixing it into it.

It's a long process, it's takes very long,

but it's worth it in the end.

And, as you go, make sure you're adding

more liquid clay, too.

Well, you want it like a cakey consistency.

Then, you're just going to put it on the cupcake,

like you're icing the cupcake.

Now, you can add sprinkles too, if you want to.

You can take any type of clay.

Simply just taking,

maybe make it little balls

or actually taking the time to roll out tiny,

little pieces to just stick on it.

Now, if you want to add some additional flare to it,

you can add glitter.

And that's how you make a cupcake,

except next time, I'm going to use brighter colors

to make it happy.

Now, we can't forget to bake it.

All you're going to want to do is look

on your polymer clay package

to see how long you want to bake it for,

at what temperature.

Like, comment, and subscribe,

and don't forget, you can show us pictures

of what you're making on the Live Justice app.

Bye.

Cómo se investiga en Humanidades Digitales - Entrevista con Vittore Casarosa - Universidad de Pisa - Duration: 5:01.

Hello Youtubentes, how are you? this is Juanjo Boté,

and

today we are here with Vittore Casarosa from University

of Pisa. He's a researcher there.

and he specially does research,

he's between Library Information Science and Computer Science.

So we are going to talk with him.

The video is in English.

so if don't understand English by any reason,

just below the video you have the captions.

do you agree?

So, we start

Hello Vittore. Buenos dias.

Thank very much for your introduction.

Now I'm going to speak in English.

Yes, I think is better for both.

Yes for both.

OK.

You're from University of PIsa.

You're a researcher that you mix Information... Library Information Science and Computer Science.

Which is your speciallity exactly?

What did you dedicate these last years?

Ok. So, let me

give you some background

in the sense that

I'm mixing the two because,

my background is really in Electronic Engineer.

because the time I graduated,

there were no Computer Science degree. Ok, yeah...

[laughs] they were just beginning

Yeah, you had to wait for further.

but then I've been, most of my activity,

has been in the beginning

with databases and image processing.

So, it was just pure computers. Ok. Yes..

and then, let's say about 20 years ago,

I lended, let me say in the new field

emerging field of digital libraries.

which was again the combination of

computers and libraries.

That's when I've started being

post into the humanties and applications and libraries.

and ACAIS and so on.

So, there's how I started to be gold in this type of activity.

Oh that's perfect.

emmm,

How do you conduct a research in your field?

I mean, you have

to deal with lots of things.

people, databases, how do you conduct that?

What is the methodology you more, you more or less or in big ideas, you do?

OK. So, let's say

In the last years

most of our interest, my interest

I'm collaborating with other universities

has been to try to understand what are the requirements

for higher education institutions, I mean unversities

to prepare the new information professionals. Ok

today they're called data scientist, because so the big data

basically just only five years ago, they were called

information professionals. Yes...

which...it's the same but different name.

yes.. but...I think that there is one, one, connotation

that information professional is

no longer a librarian, an archivist

or a museum curator.

The Information professional somehow should be across

across some disciplines...of those boundaries.

and so, for the research

in this type of research,

there are really no databases

and other things.

So the methodology is basically surveys

and interviews.

So it's a mixture. Qualitative and quantitative..

so it's a mixture of quantitative and qualitative.

Ok. That's perfect.

I have another question. Is...

Which advice could you say to any student

or a PhD student or M.A. students

in Library Information Science

regarding to research?

In their professional life or

What can they do?

Well, this is what we were already discussing

The first thing it might be,

Should be

that they try to find

what is the specific field

of their interest. Ok.

So, to be passionate in some way.

Yes, to become an expert in some specific

sector.

I would say for humanist could be History

or epigraphist

or.... let's say philology.

but even to select.

because, you should select

what you like.

Yeah, you have to concrete

I like that.

and then, let me say.

in parallel with that,

you should really

get a good knowledge

of the Information technology tools

of course.

suitable for your sector.

So, to have skills on technology.

how to deal with technology.

They need. Because today wherever

I mean for a hand science

it's a given. You can't do it without computers.

No. For humanistic sides is more

and more the fact that

if you want to do

innovative research

you have to know and to use

information technology tools.

Ohhh..That is

no way out.

Ok. Thank you very much.

That's all for today.

That's all for today

So we watch together on the next video
