Good morning friends this morning. We are working for that military family that we did an estimate for

On a few videos ago a few blocks ago, so we are heading Home Depot to get some to get some

Materials for the day basically the mission for the day is to install a new ceiling fan where a light fixture

Currently exists, but they do want a dimmer switch installed

So we're going to have to run some some 14-3 wire

Through the walls so they can have a dimmer for the you know, a fan switch and a dimmer for the light

She doesn't like the remote

The fan actually has a remote but she does not like the the way that the remote works

She doesn't like that

You have to like hold it down to dim it and then you never know exactly when you're all the way at the bottom

She would rather just have a habit handheld Tora a dimmer in the wall, which totally makes sense

So that's our mission for the day and then we're also installing another ceiling fan at this house

So we're gonna be crawling up in the attic. So let's get to it. I got a question for y'all

where you can control the fan and the light separately without the remote, so I got that some wire and

Some old construction boxes. So yeah, let's get to work

Well, I'm heading back to the hardware store

That switch box opened up and realized and then turned off the breaker and all that realize it is a 20 amp circuit

So I'm going to need to go back to the store and grab some 12:3

I only grabbed some 14-3 this morning. I thought is a 15 amp circuit

So I am running back to the store because I didn't have I don't have any

12:3 with me so I'm gonna have to run back and grab that but then we'll get back to the house and

Finish that up the box that held that light is definitely not a fan rated box

So I'm have to go up in the attic and replace that. I'm going to use that commercial electric

old old work box for that ceiling fan and then run my run my new

12:3 down the wall and hook up my new dimmer. So

We're gonna get to it, but we're gonna go to Lowe's right now

This is closest to us and then we're gonna be coming back man. 12:3 is expensive man. Crazy crazy

I bought a bought a 25-foot roll and also a 50-foot roll just because I think that 25-foot will be long enough

But if it's just barely not long enough, then I don't want to have to come back to the store

But I'll probably end up returning the 50-foot roll. But man that 50-foot roll was like 60 bucks

I guess a lot of copper, you know copper is pretty expensive, but

I've got our box removed. So now we need to go for the attic and run some new wire. Okay?

I always like sticking something up in the attic so I can find it when I'm up there something that's hard to lie

Kind of locate stuff. So I just stuck a

Piece of wire up there an old piece of wire that I had in the hole

So I'll be able to see it through the insulation

So let's go in the attic. They just have this attic reinsulated did a pretty good job at it. I

Need to go all the way over on the other side of that AC unit ductwork

Well, it's slow going

Like walking through snow, but I want to make sure

You know what's under me is solid footing. So try to find the trying to find the joist as I go

Okay, and I planned in quite work. I stuck that

That old wire up in this area right here. I know that because there's the gable vent and here's this vent

So we're about somewhere in that area

But so I'm just have to kind of search in that area. This is on this really thick. It's like

So we're gonna see if we could find our wire to locate our box. Actually. There's our yellow wire right there. So that works perfectly

Gonna pull it up locate our box clean out around it

Sorry, this light is kind of messing with this video. But here's our old mount

There's the hole going into the middle of the ceiling. So we're gonna remove that mount

Put in our own mount and then this is the wire they used to go to the light. So we're gonna trace that back

To find our hole going down through the top plate shove our new wire down it. Okay. I traced our wire down to that hole

now we're gonna shove our our new

12:3 down that hole and hopefully we'd get it down in our stud cavity

All right. I got quite a bit run down in that hole

So hopefully that's enough to reach our junction box and then I got the rest of it

over there near our hole in the ceiling so

We're gonna get back down there pull some wire through and then

Come back up here staple everything up and then put in our ceiling fan junction box

All right, we fed enough wire through so we got our wire here and then we put our wire

Right there. So 25 feet was more than enough. So that was great. So let's pull that wire through cutters the right size

Put in our box here

And then we'll get everything wired up. We'll get a new box put in over there and

Man I'm so glad I get to do this job and that we were able to

Squeeze in this job and move around some other jobs to get this done

like I said before this this job here is for a military family and we are working to surprise a

husband when he comes back from overseas, he's supposed to come back at the end of this month and

This switch doesn't do anything. I guess they used to run to that outlet down there, but they just want it there

Because this is the cover that they have and so the fan and the light worked independently of each other

Alright next job here is just to install a new ceiling fan here

This is where I took that ceiling fan that we installed in that room. Took it down from here and

Installed it in that room. So now I'm gonna need to just put up one here

Alright just finished up installing the ceiling fan here and we wired in the old remote to it

Fan and the light works so pretty exciting there

You know, I've had some questions some people have asked me on this on the comments here

They said what's the point of this will log thing? Why do you call it a blog, isn't it? Just a vlog and

There's a few reasons why I call it the will log number one is it's just simply fun to say

But that's kind of the why I call it a belong. So we are all done with this job

Installed this new switch here and and that dimmer over there

I just need to do a little bit of patching right above the outlet cover or the switch cover right there

But we're gonna do that real quick. So this I installed this this fan with new

12:3 wiring and then installed a new ceiling fan in the other room where there was already an existing ceiling fan there

So there was no wiring that needed to be done for that one. So total logistics for this job

I have five hours into this job

It total

total for this job was 585

Materials were about $85. So total labor was about $500

So pretty good day

We got another job that I'm heading to right now

But for the sake of time, I'm not going to record that and this is gonna be the end of this vlog

6 lessons in 6 months of streaming on Twitch | Twitch tips for beginners - Duration: 5:38.

hey everyone it's Classic Teg I am a Twitch affiliate if you'd like to check

out my channel it is listed below. So this video is six things that I've

learned in six months of streaming. Now that I've been here a little while I've

had some thoughts. I've been loving it I am obsessed when I started back in

January I had no idea really what twitch was as a platform or what streamers

really got up to and what the experience was like but I knew it's something I

wanted to try so I'm hoping this video will help some people who are maybe just

starting or they've been streaming for a little bit and they want to think about

their content in you know different ways or maybe you've been streaming for years

but also there's gonna be tips just on my experience. My first tip is watch your

past broadcasts! It can be a little bit hard at first, get rid of all your

insecurities, just put them into one side - I believe in you, you can do this - ask

yourself "would I watch this stream." find where you felt like people were getting

something great for their time, pay attention to questions that you enjoyed

answering and there was content that you enjoyed making, and focus on it hard. you

want to be finding this balance between enjoying something you're doing and

finding enjoyment from other people enjoying what you're doing. this makes

good content. tip number two you need a good mod team! moderators are essential

for so much more than just banning trolls which is what I thought in the

beginning. mods are the champions of your goals, they can be so fantastic at

welcoming new people and sharing what your community is about. what I did was I

wrote a list of things that I want my community to be to help me align my

goals for the community, which is twitch discord Twitter everything, to align

those goals with what you

actually see, what you actually back up with content. support your mods if their

streamers go into their chat maybe you can be a mod for them put in the time

thank them for their time and ask them how they're going ask how they think the

stream can be improved. thank you to my amazing mod team I love you!

tip number three: talk the entire time probably heard this before talk the

whole time it is so important for growth but it also helps you become more

comfortable and develop your stream personality. chat even if there's no one

there. twitch is a social platform. clap it out

with me, Twitch is a social platform. if you go to Twitch's landing page in the

App Store or the website signed out you will see a tiny picture of the streamer

and you will see a lot of pictures of chat. you have to bring your energy. talk

about your day, talk about what you had for breakfast, talk about the game - that's

something you can always come back to - and you will be fine and I promise it

will help you grow. also engage with your viewers off stream, hang out in other

streams with the purpose of enjoying other streams and enjoying other chats.

I'll come back to this later but let us go on to tip number four. this is my

favorite - repurpose your content! use it, cut it into bite-size chunks for social

media, cut it into highlights into smaller bits for people to enjoy outside

of stream. something that I do is I make a monthly compilation of fun moments and

clips and highlights for that on YouTube and that just takes basic editing, open

source software you can use like DaVinci Resolve to just basic edit the videos

together. share what you spent hours creating and be passionate about it be

proud of it! tip number five: networking! networking

means going into other people's streams and chatting with them enjoying their

content. chatting with their chat members asking their chat members how their day

was how is school or remember things about these people just like you would

in your own chat. want to help other streamers grow

if you enjoy a streamers content tell them in chat. be their champion, comment

on other streamers social media. do this for your community, do this for the

people that you care about who spend their time with you and ensure you enjoy

yourself enjoy your meeting new people and making new friends because twitch is

a social platform and you have to network. tip number six be patient. be

patient with yourself and your growth over time. focus less on the numbers and

more on your content. if you focus on the value that you're giving your audience

and the time and care you're putting into your content people will respect

that and stick around. and that concludes my hot tips for today! thank you for

floodlight from SANSI just in time for Halloween or Christmas time but this

could be used at any time of year for any type of lighting in your garden your

pool for a party and could be used indoors and outdoors. This is the 50 watt

RGB LED floodlight from Sansi. It offers 16 colors that's a lot and eight modes

and it's waterproof to IP65 in the rain snow or anything like that so it's

great for outsides perfect in fact but you don't have to always use it outside

you can also use it inside for a party or anything else like that as well

Alright so here's a look at the manual that it comes with it's a nice thick

manual that tells you how to mount tells you the different dimming capabilities

and everything about the remote so while we're at it I'm going to tell you a lot

about the remote as you can tell this remote has a lot of options you have

your on button up here your off button up here and you have white red green and

blue buttons you also have the ability to strobe flash fade and smooth for a

circular fading motion with seven different colors the M buttons the M one

two three and four around the circular dial right here they vary between red

green blue and yellow flashing and then the up and down button is increasing

brightness or decreasing brightness and the left and right is your previous

light color or your next light color now down at the bottom you have all 16

colors that this light can produce I'm just going to list them all for you

you have orange coral gold purple pink yellow orchid Navy indigo lime aqua and

cyan now this makes it great for any holiday any occasion especially with

Halloween right in the corner with the oranges in the other colors you can

definitely make your Halloween decorations pop with this now for

Christmas Hanukkah you've got the Reds the Greens the blues or if you have your

own little party you have the pinks, limes the navys and the yellows for

you to be able to do anything with this. Now we're done with that I'm gonna put

that away this certainly feels very rugged it's

now not cheap plastic like some little floodlights that I've seen. The housing

is made of polycarbonate and the adjustable bracket on the back is made

of stainless steel I'm gonna turn this to the side so I can show you here you

have the ability to mount it on a particular thing like if you want on

your fence or anything else you can mount it there and adjust it up and down

if you need to now this device is not a solar-powered device you do have to plug

this in but that is not hard if you have other decorations up you could just plug

it into your extension cord you've been like I said you can mount this on your

wall ceiling or a pedestal if you want to just rush it on a surface table

without moving it you can as well like I'm doing right now it operates with the

remote control so you there's no buttons on here to turn it on when you sit to

one of the sixteen steady colors you can adjust the brightness level the dimmer

or the brighter I did show you that with the the dial right here and it has a 120

degree beam angle so you can illuminate any large area this is great for all you

people out there that go hardcore with your director decorations outside or if

you just want to provide a nice good safety light with variable different

colors that's well that's a good idea as well this has a 5500

lumen output but it is energy-saving at the same time so these energy-saving

LEDs right here will keep your electricity bill down so now that I've

talked a lot about it let's take this up sign and try it after dark stay tuned

we're out here it's pretty dark now and we're going to try the lights out here

on the side of the house where you have a fairly flat surface and it might be

easy to see. This is not normally where I'd be pointing the Christmas lights but

I think it might be easier to see the colors okay so turn it on okay so that

went into what do they call that flash mode it's rotating between green red

blue and yellow and that's putting out quite a bit of light okay why don't you

try some of the steady colors they're

orange okay and I'm not sure how well the cameras gonna pick up the accuracy

of the colors because when it gets really dark things the colors are

distorted a little bit but go ahead to the next color

yeah that's clearly purple

and that's pink almost a mommy pink yeah

yellow

baby what is it Navy yeah okay yeah

indigo

and that's a lime and again I'm looking at the camera screen and it's not quite

picking up the vibrancy of the color but that is a lime aqua cyan

okay so why don't you try this now some of the different modes like I don't know

flash or strobe on maybe on a put it on like a either a red or green for

Christmas and then try some of the different patterns okay there's the red

that's nice

that actually is going through kind of a purple color I don't think that's not on

red anymore okay okay so what were some of the other choices that on the remote

flash oh that's nice that flashes between the variety of colors

you stain

okay fade and I guess that fades in between transitions between one color

and the other

and then here's smooth okay

now what about the the buttons that say em em one two three and four okay which

ones that m1 okay so that's kind of what I thought that um the first setting was

going to be so that's on the red and that would be so pretty in front of some

holiday decorations so you know again we have it just against the side of the

house with the garage here so that's a little boring but thought it might give

a good representation of the color since it's fairly neutral on the house okay m2

okay and as you can see we do have this just resting on the ground on the

driveway in fact and it could be mounted give it a different effect let me go

over and lift it and see what happens can you put it back on either red or

green

you can see this gives out quite a bit of like I wanted to roughly on the

cameras were going to be finding

this rotates

I'm gonna try something try pointing it at the little garden here and see what

that looks like oh yeah that's nice that's actually much nicer than against

the garage I mean even though here where we're currently in October and at the

end of the flowering season so things in the garden are looking a little scruffy

but that's nice let's run through a couple of few other things again with

this backdrop so you see what looks like against a tree Stroeve okay

and they're smooth now when you pick it up off the ground

there you had covered quite a bit more area so this could be mounted it could

be resting on a table or any kind of structure yeah so she's over there

lifting it to about I don't know three feet or so
