be the streets our

well maintained so I enjoy walking

through this so it's kind of cold out

here this morning it's about 6:30 and

Oak Park Chicago is very our Good

Shepherd Lutheran churches were I spent

the night everyone else is still

sleeping right now which I don't blame

them but I had to get a run in this

morning

Willis Tower so we just found out what

we're doing today we're going downtown

Chicago raise money Farsi home for

children develop skills

home Mercy's homes

we completed their service project not

too long ago in downtown here and now

we just got done walking through

downtown Chicago we're gonna get back on

the bus

soon and then head down to Carbondale

Illinois we came from Chicago today it

was about a five hour bus ride down to

Carbondale Illinois it's gonna be our

longest bus ride for this trip right now

we're about 20 minutes south of

Carbondale at a summer camp called

nature's touch we done team-building

activities here we got to learn about

our diversity and how experiences

everyone experience is different it's

been very educational and very

inspirational for how we go about the

rest of the trip understanding the other

40 people that are on the trip with me

and getting to know people as we help

volunteer tomorrow morning we're gonna

wake up about 7:00 a.m. with daylight

savings time and then we're never

service project that about 8:00 or 7:30

tomorrow morning so I'm excited for that

I've no idea what it is but we need long

pants so we're probably doing something

outside

today's today I'm really excited

I'm down here in combat the Student

Center we're getting picked up to take

to the bus so we're right now we're

going to River Falls we just got the

river falls so we're waiting for the bus

it'll be here but one o'clock is known

about half an hour we got here a little

early

I've already rode over with six other

people and then we're gonna stop in

Ranchester to pick them up and then down

to lacrosse and hopefully spend the

night in Chicago bus is finally here as

you can see behind me and we're getting

ready to head over to Rochester

right now we're outside of the forest we

stopped in Rochester today and then we

stopped in the cross so right now we're

on our way to Chicago we're about two

and a half hours from Chicago we are

going to stay at a church tonight

not too long ago we got to where we're

staying tonight a Good Shepherd Lutheran

Church otherwise everyone's pretty much

going to bed it's but 11 o'clock where

you have to wake up well keep it

tomorrow's when they're gonna wake us up

we're gonna leave about nine o'clock is

when the boss is coming we have service

projects in the morning

we're gonna do tours to be inflated I

guess no details on what we're doing so

it's just going to be fun

it's gonna be an adventure it's been a

long day for everyone of traveling bus

delays things like that so it's good to

relax it's gonna be a good night and I

there's no snow here much Olympic

announced and formed here

so because of daylight savings time the

sun's not quite up yet it's seven

o'clock actually right now I met touch

of nature that we see that last night

it's a summer camp about 20 minutes

south of Carbondale Illinois right now I

just went off for a run because it was

it's nice out my service project starts

at about 7:30 I believe just were a long

pants so probably doing something out

here in the woods but otherwise yeah

there's a lot of paths to run on it's

really nice I'm peaceful it was no cell

service so it was really quiet not many

people were on their phones last night

so it was really enjoyable

just find out what we're doing today

we're gonna help build trails in nature

touch you

so basically it's going to connect camp

1 and camp 2 together

so today we help build the trail it

starts over here by this little bridge

and we made it all the way up to the top

of the hill which is really exciting so

let's go take a look

it's started raining here which is kind

of sad that we're leaving soon we're

gonna go head over to Radcliffe Kentucky

tonight

otherwise we're not doing anything else

exciting but it's gonna be a good

adventure tomorrow we're gonna have fun

on our way from Radcliffe to Nashville

Tennessee

we're gonna stop in a cave so that's

always exciting we're gonna have a tumor

there otherwise I'm not really sure well

she's going up we arrived outside

Radcliffe Kentucky at a beautiful little

ranch from owned by the YMCA

so basically we're here we're gonna do

service tomorrow I have no idea what

that is

but some place on campus we're gonna do

it it's a huge area to work on but they

did have so you're flooding recently so

that's what we're gonna go help with

tomorrow I believe I'm not a hundred

percent sure but it is very amazing

there is six other people here that are

volunteering and that events here for a

long time so we're you have to know them

a little but we also did some deep

discussion tonight about us personally

and how we interact with other people

how not everyone's the same

it was very meaningful I had to write

down like our deepest secret and why we

wouldn't tell anyone but also four

corners so basically we discussed why

each of us believed a certain thing and

so that was very meaningful sombering

it was it was an amazing experience

really glad I enjoyed it but yeah I'm

going to bed right now I'm gonna

hopefully go for a run but tomorrow it's

supposed to just come up at 8 a.m. our

service project is at 8:30 so we'll see

how this works out see you tomorrow it's
