Hello everyone! Alex VapersMD is here and I'm glad to welcome you on my channel
Yeah, it's been a while since the last great product in the box mods industry
A whole lot of box mods is going through my hands and a lot of them doesn't deserve a review
But I'm very impressed by these tiny thing
I'm using this box mod since the moment I received it. I opened the packaging, put the atomizer on and start to use it
And after more than two weeks I have things to tell you
Overall, friends, this is Druga Foxy by Augvape
Let's dive down and take a detailed look at it
So, your time has come, black packaging!
Yes, packaging by Augvape, Druga logo, Druga Foxy line and we can see the mod through this transparent plastic window
Under the cover we're met by the mod itself
And under the mod there's a User Manual in English language with pictures
And now it's time for specs. This mod is made out of zinc alloy and plastic - this is regarding removable panels, which is available in different designs
Also it's featuring landing for atomizers with diameter up to 26mm
This mod is driven by branded 150W chip by Augvape with support of only two modes - Variable Wattage and Variable Voltage
And this mod is powered by 2*18650's
Main feature of this device is brand new 510 connection - so called Quick Release. A system, that was patented by Augvape
Overall, this mod's can give out up to 45 Amps and 6.5V. And it supports minimum resistance 0.05Ω
Height of this mod is 93mm, width 48mm and thickness is 27mm
I think you already noticed, that this mod is available in two colors - Gun Metal and shiny polished SS color. Yeah, it's a huge magnet for your fingerprints
And now let's do a size comparison with other dual 18650 mods
As you can see, this mod is average in terms of size
In some cases it's a bit wider, in some cases it's a bit higher, but for me - it's one of the most compact mods on the table

And now let's get to the detailed look and we'll start from the main thing - it's the center located 510 connector with inscription Quick Release on it
So, this is the main feature of this mod and let's take a look how it works
Here we have a button, after you press on it this will happen - as you can see, 510 connection is splitting in half
So one side of the connection is moving to the side and giving us opportunity to quick install the atomizer
It works like so - you press the button, insert the atomizer, hold it and release the button, after that twist atomizer a bit and it's done
I'll say it's pretty quick. Let's see how it's being released. Press the button, unscrew it a little bit and remove the atomizer
This atomizer fixation is pretty fun, I never saw anything like this before, because this is patented invention of Augvape
So, it's Quick Release - by pressing that button you're splitting connector in half
Also here we have spring-loaded gold-plated pin and landing for up to 26mm atomizers
On this side we have Fire button, which is protruding out of the main body, you'll not miss it for sure and it have pretty soft throw. Nice Fire button
On this side we have a removable side panel with such a design, as I said - there's different designs available
Also this panel has this little window - through this window we'll see he screen of a board
Yes, it's a tiny window with a minimum of information
This panel is removable, at the bottom we have a notch, so we can catch and remove this panel, which is held by 3 magnets
There's a film on the panel which protects the screen and the control panel is look like so
All of this is decoration, here we have different formulas of voltage, amperage, wattage and resistance.
Also there's +/- buttons and the screen
On the sides we also have information where's Watts/Volts, where's resistance and where's battery life
And on the very top there's a line - Press + and - at once and you'll get into Select mode
We'll get back to it a little bit later, let's see what we have on the other side
On this side we have another panel with the logo of this mod
And this panel is hiding compartment for dual 18650 batteries
As you can see, one battery should be installed positive side down, second positive side up
And here we have a correct polarity marks on the plastic. Upper contact group is spring loaded and the panel is held by 2 magnets
On the bottom we have information that this is Augvape Foxy and vent holes
By the way, we have pretty long ribbon for battery extraction, which is good
Okay, it's time to insert the batteries. As I said, one battery goes positive side down, second battery goes positive side up
After that put on the panel
Yeah, regarding the panels - it doesn't wobble and it doesn't protrude
It have good fitting, in some cases it might play, but insignificantly
And after you inserted the batteries - mod will automatically turns On
Right now we're in VV mode. As you can see on the screen is Voltage, resistance and battery life
You can switch the mode by pressing + and - buttons simultaneously
And now we're in Power mode. You can adjust the wattage with 1W increments. If you press and hold - adjustment will switch into auto-adjusting mode
Not the fastest, but it's speeding up and we can go up to 150W
As you can see, wattage and voltage settings are adjusting separately
Even though we set 150W, the Voltage doesn't change - it remained 2.5V
So here you can go up to 6.5V
Yes, this is pretty simple chip. And last function of it is turning box mod On or Off by 5x clicks on Fire button

And mod will automatically turn On without any delays or logos
Yes, friends, that's all I could've tell and show you about this mod
It's a very simple mod and that was the goal of Augvape when they been releasing this device
In their opinion it should've been the most simple, the most convenient, logical and understandable and I think it turned out like it is
Overall, let's put an atomizer with this Quick Release, twist it a bit and we're ready to get back to face-time

Let's talk about this box mod
And let me give you a brief background before we start discussing pros and cons
In pros and cons I won't be discussing new Quick Release system and lack of MicroUSB slot, we'll talk about it after pros and cons sections
And now let's get to cons
And first con to this box mod I'll give for this gap from Fire button near the 510 connector
We all know very well, that bottom airflow RTAs and RDAs are creating a lot of condensate around themselves
Small puddles on the mod
And this is critical for this mod, because there is a gap
And all this liquid might get inside of the box mod and this isn't cool at all
So my first con goes for a gap near the 510 connector
Polished steel version. When I say polished - you can count it as a con right away
Because any polished device will be a huge magnet for your fingerprints
This box mod is a dream of prosecutor - it gathers all your fingerprints and dirt. And I never liked all that shiny devices appearance, even back in 2015
I don't know why Augvape decided to make a polished mod.
If they had made it with Satin finish - it would look much more expensive
So, friends, that was all regarding the cons. As you can see - there's a not lot of them. And now let's talk about pros
First pro to this box mod I'll give for excellent quality of manufacturing.
I really liked those side panels, which doesn't rattle, doesn't wobble and doesn't play at all
Yes, it might have a little bit of play, but it's so insignificant, that it doesn't even worth mentioning
Other than that everything is very well made, box mod is built like a monolith and it's lay great in a hands
And regarding the ergonomics - due to the fact, that this box mod is compact it have a very nice grip
It's very comfortable and firmly lays in hands and have a very nice weight
Simple and convenient chip, without any extra functions and other stuff
If you don't need other modes, like TC, Bypass and so on, than this chip is the best.
It's simple - wattage, voltage and everything you need for a good vape
Next pro I'll give for center located 510 connector. I always liked mods with centered 510 connector.
In my opinion - it's the most convenient location of 510 connection possible
I'll give it a pro for battery life. This compact box mod is powered by dual 18650's. As you saw, they feel great there.
So a pro for the fact, that this box mod is powered by dual 18650's
And last pro I'll give for the fact, that side panels are replaceable and you can swap them with other panels, which Augvape will make in the future
And that's all regarding pros and cons. Now we'll talk about new Quick Release system and this button
How much the market needs it?
As for me - yes, it is convenient. Yes, it is fast. Yes, it is something new
But on the other hand - is it necessary for the market right now? Will it take root?
If this system is the first bird in the new fixation of atomizers - it will be cool
If other mods with similar system will be appearing based on this system and absolutely different atomizers connections
That will be having more fast and reliable fixation - it might be good
It's some step forward and I like it
And, I guess, there will be questions right away - how are the conductivity, is there a resistance jumps and other stuff?
Folks, after two and a half weeks I haven't noticed anything like this. Connector make a good connection and there is no resistance jumps whatsoever
Overall this is pretty interesting system, but how much the market needs it - I don't know
If you look at this globally - this is interesting. If you will look at this from the view of 510 connection - it isn't very interesting
I don't mind to make couple extra twists to screw down the atomizer
Overall, we'll see where it'll get us in the future
Next thing that I want to talk about is the lack of MicroUSB slot
As for me - it's great. Lack of MicroUSB slot in mods doesn't bother me at all, since I always charge my batteries in external chargers
If I'm going out somewhere - I can take a small box with couple 18650's, which were also charged in external charger
For me personally - USB slot is excess function in box mods
And many box mods could've get rid of this, because the vast majority of people is using external chargers
I'll say it again - this is my personal opinion. Lack of USB slot in this mod is not a con. It's kind of a pro
That's all. We're done with pros, cons and discussions. Now let's talk about price
Price of this box mod in the official Augvape store on Aliexpress is 63$. Link is in the description
63$ as for me is a great price for this box mod
If you ask me - would I buy this box mod for myself? I would said yes, I would've buy it for myself, because I liked this box mod and I'll continue to use it
Great price for a great box mod. That's all
Let's summarize. I'll say again what I've said in the beginning of this video - this is one of the best box mods that got into my hands lately
Convenient, simple, understandable, compact. Everything that box mod needs
It's doing its job for a 100% and besides it has a centered 510 connector
Great box mod, Augvape - well done
