could be totally snobby.

tüm bu hikayelerden farklı duruma sahip bir hikaye var ki gerçek olup olmadığı

bir yana yıllardır bir şehir efsanesi gibi hızlıca yayılmakta ve insanlara sadeliğin

aslında ne kadar büyüleyici olabileceğini göstermekte…

Söylentilere göre Ernest Hemingway ve bazı arkadaşları birgün öğle yemeği yerken

ortaya bir iddia atılır, ortaya atılan iddia ise Hemingway'in altı kelimelik bir

hikaye yazıp yazamayacağı üzerinedir.

Hemingway masadakilerin alaycı bakışları arasında masanın ortasından bir peçete

alır ve üzerine hızlıca bir şeyler karalar ardından kağıdı arkadaşlarına uzatır

ve alaycı bakışların yerini şaşkınlığa bırakmasını seyreder…

Diğer yandan bir giriş bir gelişme ve bir sonuçtan oluşan bu kısa kelimeler dizini

Hemingway'in bu zor iddiada kazanan taraf olmasını sağlamıştı.

Bu kısa hikayeyi Ernest Hemingway'in yazıp yazmadığı tartışma konusu olsa da: ''Benim

amacım, gördüklerimi ve hissettiklerimi kağıda en iyi ve en basit şekilde aktarmaktır.''

Diyen birinin yazarlığıyla elde ettiği sayısız başarının yanında bu türden

bir başarıya da imza atması pek de şaşırtıcı olmazdı.

Öte yandan bu hikayeye kaynak olarak Peter Miller'ın 1974 tarihli bir kitabında Hemingway

ve kısa hikayesinden şu şekilde bahsediliyor: ''Açıkça görünüyor ki Ernest Hamingway

bir grup yazar arkadaşıyla Luchow'da öğle yemeği yiyordu ve yalnızca altı sözcük

uzunluğunda kısa bir hikaye yazabileceğini idda etti.

Elbette diğer yazarlar buna inanmadı.

Hamingway her birisine masanın ortasına 10 dolar koymasını ve eğer yanılıyorsa

aynı miktarı kendisinin ödeyeceğini söyledi ancak haklı çıkarsa da bütün parayı

alacaktı.

Bir mendilin üzerine çabucak 6 sözcük karaladı ve onu arkadaşlarına uzattı…''

devamı ise bildiğiniz gibi Hemingway iddiayı kazanmıştı.

Hemingway'in bu hikayesi aslında bizlere önemli bir hayat dersi veriyordu; hemen her

gün hepimiz karmaşık durumlarla dolu hayatlar yaşıyoruz ve mutluluk için belki de tüm

bu karmaşanın içinden bir anlığına da olsa başımızı kaldırıp sade şeylere

zaman ayırmamız gerekiyordur… ♪ ♪ ♪
