Hi my name's Mike, I'm a content creator just like you and I've started this
channel to help other creators grow on YouTube. So if you're interesting growing on the
platform why not subscribe. Having a custom channel URL gives your fans an
easy to remember web address meaning, it's easy for them to find you. The URL
makes more sense, it's shows the viewers that you're
taking YouTube seriously and just looks a whole lot better. Before claiming your
custom channel URL your YouTube URL looks like this long, ugly and hard to
remember. But once you've claimed your custom channel URL it all makes so much
more sense and once you've claimed your custom
channel URL fans will be able to find you quickly and easily by going to the
YouTube search bar and typing www.youtube.com/your channel name. It's as simple as that right.
But first you need to make sure that you're eligible to claim your custom channel URL.The criteria that makes you eligible for your channel URL
on YouTube is; Your channel is older than 30 days, your channel has custom channel
art, your channel has a custom channel icon and you've got more than a
hundred subscribers. Claiming your custom channel URL is a simple process and once
you're eligible here's how you do it. From your channel page head across to
Creator studio, then select the channel section and go down to the status and
feature section. Scroll down to the bottom of the page until you come to the
custom channel URL option box. Here you can see if you're eligible and the
enable options should be available. Then click on claim it here and you're taken
to an advanced settings page asking you to set up YouTube exactly how you want
it. Our channel says that it's eligible for a custom channel URL and to claim it
here. So that's where we're gonna click get taken to a custom channel URL option
box click that you've read and agree the custom URL and select change URL. Once
it's done your returned to your home page. It's as simple as that. You can check
that it's worked either by typing www.youtube.com/ your
channel name or go back to the channel section in creator studio
and under the custom URL box you can see your channel name. Easy right? So the
