In 2018 YouTube was cumulating 1.5 billion monthly views or 400 hours of
video uploaded every single minute you are probably asking yourself but what
are people talking about what are all these videos about and you will probably
be surprised when I will tell you that at the top of the list next to the
tutorials music videos and other technology reviews one of the most
watched type of videos or vlogs so what is a vlog vlog is the contraction of the
words video and blog see prior to the existence of YouTube one of the trends at
the time was to write your adventure on a blog an Internet and public diary
quickly media and marketing companies understood the opportunity that the
so-called bloggers were offering the first Internet influences were born
offering the perfect distribution channel for companies wanted to target
their sales and marketing efforts in 2005 YouTube arrived and profiles like lonely
girl15 or Shay Carl took the blog to a new level and started filming themselves
the vlog was born and it became a huge success in 2018 44 percent of all the
Internet users watch at least one vlog per month and although the 16-24 years
old represent 53% of the vlog audience the 25-34s are not too far behind
and with 35-55 age group being the fastest growing demographics on
platforms like YouTube it is only a matter of time before your grandmother
starts watching vloggers today amongst the most famous vloggers you will find
people like Casey Neistat Jake Paul and he's infamous brother Logan Paul Lizzie Koshy
Zoella or the up-trending Peter McKinnon so why blog are so important today when
creating videos on YouTube and this whatever the message your channel is
trying to give vlogs help to build up the audience showing that you are just
another normal human being with your thoughts and clumsiness
so for youtubers trying to accumulate subscribers vlogging
is a crucial part of the job and with competitors to YouTube like Facebook
Instagram Snapchat also deciding to step up and now offering live features and
other short stories videos the vlog format will only be growing so without further ado
here is my first attempt at this tough exercise putting myself out of my comfort zone
so first vlog huh don't know what to say don't know what to do
I told you I would take you with me on every first times
well every first times there are a lot of first times that already happened right
When it comes to YouTube and social media this whole universe is brand new for me
So first vlog and what is going to happen in this vlog
I don't know you tell me we're going to see my sister in Lyon and spent a bit
of time with her I would have never thought it would be vlogging one day who
would have thought that especially not me cool so driving and
vlogging at the same time when I'm by myself is actually pretty hard so I'm gonna put
the camera down and I'll take you once I am in Lyon PEACE
Boo just arrived at my sister's she's not here actually first time I see her flat
the only thing you're gonna see is probally just that behind me so today
just a little catch-up with my sister and her husband I'll see you tomorrow for
some hopefully adventures in Lyon so one good thing about France markets
So now that the market is over we are at the place Bellecour in the center of Lyon
with is my sister she doesn't want to be seen she was here and yeah we're
gonna go and have a walk and bit of time together in central Lyon
okay enough of this stupid vlog you've got it I'm not necessarily the best at
vlogging if I want to share my experiences with you going forward this
is definitely something I want to get better at the reason I wanted to show
you this video is just to encourage you in going out of your comfort zone even
though you feel ridiculous sometimes you shouldn't be afraid of trying and
practicing and trying again because this is how you get better in life this is
how you master anything you want to do so go out there put yourself out of your
comfort zone be ridiculous be crazy and try again and again and again until you
master it because no one can remove the knowledge you will get from these
experiences you have to do it every time you are afraid of doing something you
should do it and you should learn from it so thanks to all of you who are still
