Hello again, and welcome back everyone to

'One English Tip in One Minute for Russian

Speakers' where every week I go through,

in detail, one common English mistake

made by Russian speakers as they speak

English. This is video number 36.

Sometimes I feel like I don't tell you

this enough, but good for you for trying

to master your English. I totally respect

and admire it. The way this thing

works is I show you a slide, and on the

slide there are two sentences: One is the

correct way a native speaker -- a native

English speaker -- would say something, the

other is the wrong way a Russian speaker

might say it. You have to decide which

one is correct. Read the sentences, think

about them, pause the video if you have

to and I will discuss the answer in the

slide that follows this slide.

Again, if you got it

wrong - or you just happened to take a wild

guess and get it right, but don't know

why you got it right -- then it only means

you just have to study a little bit more.

To start you off on that path -- it's a

very simple beginning -- but to start you

off I've given you three sentences you

can study from. Memorize the sentences in

their entirety, review them -- constantly

review. it's very important to review -- and

put into practice what you've learned

through speaking or writing or both.

Of course it's always good to go outside

of this video and try to learn more.
