Hi everyone and welcome to the review of the long grass tufts (early autumn) by MiniNatur in 1/45 scale and bigger.
These are the grass tufts i prefer for my dioramas. They look very natural and easy to use.
These are a bit more expensive than tufts of other brands, but they are certainly worth the money.
The box is pretty stable, so nothing gets crushed inside.
You open it on the top.
Inside there is some foil material with the grass tufts sticking to it on both sides.
The size of the foil: 21,5cm tall and 16cm wide, multiplied by 2. Quite a lot.
Instructions are included, but they are not really required.
It instructs you to use some kind of glue, like spray-on glue or wood glue.
You pick up the grass tufts with your tweezers and position them where you want them.
The recommended glue here is Tesa all-purpose glue, i usually use Ponal wood glue.
Let´s have a closer look at the tufts.
The bristles are quite long.
The color is natural and the bristles actually protrude. What else can you ask for?
The tufts adhere to the foil pretty well.
You just grab them with tweezers, dip them in wood glue and position them on your diorama.
It looks very good to me. There could be a few more tufts on there though.
The shapes of the tufts are quite varied and random.
There are some big tufts, smaller ones, all of them in various shapes.
This is very important for a convincing diorama. Nature is random and this is represented here very nicely.
This is how it can look on a diorama. I mixed these tufts with material from other brands to achieve an even more natural look.
In my opinion the grass tufts are worth the 18€ you have to pay.
They look very natural and allow you to create a meadow very easily when combined with other grass tufts and flowers.
I like the fact that you get individual tufts and not a grass mat.
It is quite rare to build a diorama with a perfect english lawn.
Normally you need a meadow or steppe grass.

Duino Castle and the legend of the White Lady - Duration: 5:02.
We just came out of the giant cave
And since we have a lot of time we bring you to visit the castle of Duino!
let's go!
Look at this goodness! I have prepared spelled with zucchini and shrimp...
and teriyaki sauce!
And after this big meal...it's time to...
visit the Duino castle!
Famous for having hosted several historical characters like: D'Annunzio, Princess Sissi, Liszt, Strauss
and the poet Rainer Maria Rilke, who named the path that we'll tread after the castle!
These are the ruins of the Old Castle dating back to the 10th century
to which the legend of the White Lady is linked...
in a remote time, the castle of Duino was ruled by a jealous and fierce castle, the husband of a beautiful lady
which he used to lock away in a castle tower to prevent that other people could see her beauty in his absence...
one day, pushed by a jealousy attack, he throw her down from the tower.
It's told that Heaven, repelled by the lady's fate, turned her into a white rock before she could touch the sea.
This wonderful castle overlooking the Gulf of Trieste was built in 1300 by the will of Ugon of Duino,
replacing The old Castle, and was opened to the public for the will of the Princes Della Torre and Tasso.
There are now 18 rooms furnished with precious pieces of furniture, full of documents, prints, letters
and photos that tell the story of this family.
Very beautiful is the collection of instruments, as well as the piano played by Liszt
as the the Palladian staircase, a true architectural masterpiece!
Climbing the tower, you will arrive to a large terrace, from which you can enjoy a 360° view.
We also recommend a walk in the beautiful park that houses a rich variety of Mediterranean flora and a large fountain!
We are going to explore the bunker of Duino Castle
Built in 1943 for the german marine!
This is the Rilke path!
We done it! We've come here too!
This path called Rilke Trail, named after the poet who here found inspiration to compose the Eligie Duinesi
s one of the most beautiful and evocative walks overlooking the Gulf of Trieste!
You have to enjoy the amazing landscape sitting on the benches along the trail!
And even this trip has come to end but...
our day is not over...now we are going to find a place where to refill our belly!
we have found on TripAdvisor a place called "LA GIOSTRA", is located in Slivia
They make some amazing giant burgers and sandwiches! We must try them!
