Norway the land of fjords and the Vikings.

In Norwegian, the name of the country has two different spellings Noreg (in Nynorsk)

and Norge (in Bokmål).

And both of these names are very similar to the English name for the country.

The name Norway comes from the Old English word Norþweg, meaning "northern way" or "way

leading to the north", which is how the Anglo-Saxons referred to the coastline of Atlantic Norway.

The Anglo-Saxons also referred to Norway as Norðmanna land or "north men land" but

this name never stuck.

Possibly because it is a bit of a mouthful!

It is generally believed that the name of Norway in Norwegian comes from the same meaning

as the English as according to the traditional view, the first component was originally norðr,-

a word related to the English north – making the name Norðr vegr, 'the way northwards',

referring to the sailing route along the Norwegian coast, and contrasting with suðrvegar "southern

way" for Germany, and austrvegr "eastern way" for the Baltic.

But according to a new theory According to another theory, the first component was a

word nór, meaning 'narrow', referring to the inner-archipelago sailing

route ('narrow way') through the land.

Dark Secrets Of The Cast Of Twilight - Duration: 5:52.

The Twilight Saga was, well, a saga, both on-screen and off. The first film grossed

nearly $400 million at the box office, leading to a fever-pitch of Twi-hard obsession around

the world. Of course, with that level of fame often comes scandal, and the cast of Twilight

certainly wasn't immune. From jaw-dropping affairs to sudden cast changes, here are the

biggest scandals that threatened to derail the stars' careers, and the Saga altogether.

The Robsten craze

Undoubtedly the biggest celebrity news story to come out of the Twilight saga was the demise

of the relationship between stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.

Their mysterious, media-shy fling began to unravel in July 2012 after Us Weekly published

photos of Stewart getting way too close to her married Snow White and the Huntsman director

Rupert Sanders. The photo bombshell dominated the tabloids, forcing Stewart to issue a public

apology to Pattinson for cheating. The couple tried to weather the storm but wound up splitting

for good in 2013, with Sanders' marriage also a casualty of the cheating scandal.

While Stewart later called her breakup from Pattinson "incredibly painful," Pattinson

ultimately took it in stride, telling British Esquire,

"S*** happens, you know? It's just young people... it's normal! And honestly, who gives a s***?"

Fair enough. But before they were done, they still had issues aplenty, particularly when

it came to the explosive attention they received from fans.

Throughout their relationship, Stewart and Pattinson were plagued by Internet and tabloid

gossip alleging that their relationship was nothing but a Hollywood publicity stunt. Whether

far-fetched or not, there were a number of incidents along the way that certainly fanned

those flames—like when Stewart told T Magazine in 2016, "People wanted me and Rob to be together

so badly that our relationship was made into a product. It wasn't real life anymore."

"That was pretty fun."

The bulk up

When director Chris Weitz was hired to direct the second Twilight film, New Moon, rumors

swirled that he was thinking about replacing Taylor Lautner with an actor who physically

fit Jacob's buffed-up description in the book.

"Taylor left the first movie being like a little boy with a long wig"

Amid the drama, Lautner campaigned to stay in the movie by transforming his own body

into that of a chiseled beast.

"It was a lot of hard work all the way around. I mean, obviously a lot of hours in the gym.

But the most challenging part was the eating process. But basically I had to double my calorie intake per day."

Ultimately, he won the right to continue his role through to the end, with the full confidence

of the director, who said, he "was always convinced that he was going to be able to

do it." But there was another actor whose unceremonious exit from the Saga was handled

much less nicely.

The Victoria switch

Rachelle Lefevre played the villainous vampire Victoria in both Twilight and New Moon; however,

much to the horror of the Twilight fandom, director David Slade decided to give her the

boot before filming kicked off for Eclipse, which would've been her most prominent appearance

in the franchise. She was replaced by actress Bryce Dallas Howard, with the studio citing

scheduling conflicts over Lefevre's attachment to indie project Barney's Version, but Lefevre

was openly "stunned" by the decision.

Incidentally, Catherine Hardwicke, who had directed the first Twilight, came forward

to say that the studio had always wanted Howard for the role, and cast Lefevre when Howard

wasn't available, adding insult to injury. Eventually, though, the two Victorias got

together to ensure there'd be no bad blood between them.

"The circumstances around it had nothing to do with us."

"She's awesome."

The marriage bust

In March 2012, the tabloids confirmed that Peter Facinelli, who played Dr. Carlisle Cullen,

and his wife of 11 years, Jennie Garth, were divorcing. Garth later revealed in her memoir,

Deep Thoughts from a Hollywood Blonde, that while the split seemed sudden, it was many

years in the making. Facinelli's overnight success in the Twilight Saga, combined with

his bicoastal work life while filming Nurse Jackie in New York, contributed to the stress.

She wrote, "All I know is that I felt like I was waiting: for him to come home, waiting

for him to be free to join me in the day-to-day of our family life, waiting for the next job

to be lined up that would take him far away from us again."

That next job turned out to be the movie Loosies, where Facinelli met Jaimie Alexander, who

would become his fiancée. But that relationship wasn't meant to be, either; Alexander called

off their engagement in early 2016.

The airport meltdown

Bronson Pelletier, who played a member of Jacob's wolf pack, had a public relations

nightmare on his hands after exhibiting some very bad behavior at LAX in December 2012.

Pelletier was first kicked off a plane after he was deemed "too intoxicated to fly" by

officers. He was then told to wait for another flight, during which he allegedly began "urinating

in public by the gate," all of which was later broadcast by TMZ. Cops returned to the scene

and arrested him for public intoxication.

"No, that definitely did not happen."

After the incident, TMZ discovered that just one week prior, Pelletier had been arrested

for felony meth and cocaine possession at a bar. He was later sentenced to two years'

probation for the peeing incident.

The wild child

Back in early 2002, Nikki Reed and eventual Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke co-wrote

the movie Thirteen, based on Reed's tumultuous upbringing. Hardwicke told The New York Daily

News, "When she started changing from 12 to 13 years old, I saw her losing her joy. She

became so angry. It really freaked me out. I wanted her to get back to creative, rather

than destructive, things."

While the film earned strong notices and an Oscar nomination for co-star Holly Hunter,

Reed later admitted she "wasn't ready" for fame at age 15 and that Thirteen hindered

her relationship with her parents. She also admitted to Zooey magazine in 2012 that the

film wasn't as autobiographical as she thought it was, saying,

"It was from one kid's perspective and not a well rounded one. You get older and it's

like, how dare I portray my father as being a totally vacant careless schmuck?"

"Bitch!"

How to Create a Balance Sheet Report in Xero - Duration: 10:59.

Welcome to the Fit Small Business Xero training course. In this lesson we're

going to cover how to create a balance sheet report in Xero. To follow along

with me, log in to your Xero account now or click the link below this video for a

free 30-day trial of Xero. You can also click this link to access our full Xero

course and other helpful resources. Let's get started. The balance sheet report

shows the assets, liabilities, and owner's equity of your business as of a point in time.

For example, as of December 31st 2016. The balance sheet report provides

you with the net worth of your company which in other words shows what your

business owns, known as assets, versus what you owe to others, known as

liabilities. Depending on the results of this report you may be able to attract

potential investors or secure a business loan from your bank or financial

institution. Similar to the income statement which we discussed in the

previous lesson, your balance sheet will only be as accurate as the information

you have entered into Xero. Therefore you must do a good job of entering all

invoices, bills, credit notes, and banking transactions into Xero in a timely

manner. We recommend at least monthly if not more often. Click the links below to

access our lessons on invoices, bills, credit notes and banking transactions.

By staying on top of entering all of your business transactions, you will always

have an up-to-date balance sheet report that you can review monthly and provide

to potential investors. Reviewing your balance sheet on a monthly basis has the

following advantages: you'll be able to identify assets, liabilities or equity

transactions that have been categorized to the wrong account, you'll be able to

catch missing assets or liabilities which could cause inaccurate financial

statements, and you'll be able to take proactive steps to improve your overall

net worth. To create a balance sheet report in Xero, from the Xero dashboard

you want to click on reports and then select all reports. The balance sheet

report is located in the financial section. As you can see here there are

two balance sheet reports. Xero has redesigned several reports and the

balance sheet is one of those reports. For the purposes of this lesson we will

discuss the new balance sheet report which has a new button to the right of

it here. You can easily add a report to your favorites by clicking the star to

the left of the name of the report. So as you can see right now the old balance

sheet report was a favorite report. So what we'll do is we'll click that star

to remove that from the favorites list and we'll actually add our new balance

sheet report to the favorites list. Now when you add a report to the favorites

list what that does is when we go back up to the reports menu, instead of

clicking on all reports we'll be able to go directly to the report that we'd like

to run. And so we'll be able to go down to our balance sheet report and run it

directly from there. Let's go ahead and run our report. In the next screen

we'll go ahead and select the date range that we'd like to run the report for.

So from the drop down here you can actually select one of the preset dates here from

the list, or you can click custom and then select a different date that you'd

like to use. Be sure to click the update button to

refresh the report. So here is a sample balance sheet report for our fictitious

company Acme Web Pros Plus. The balance sheet report can be exported to a PDF,

Excel, or Google sheets. Just click the export button and then make your

selections here. You can also save a report as a draft, published, or custom.

The draft option allows you to create a balance sheet report that you or someone

else can make changes to later on. You might create several draft balance sheet

reports before you are ready to publish them. The published option is used to

save reports when you are finalizing the books for the month or the year.

A published report will not change if for some reason the information in the

system has changed or updated in some way. You can only publish reports if you have

the advisor user role. Click here to access this lesson. And finally a custom

report: you want to use this option to save the format of the balance sheet

report so that you don't have to recreate it each time you run the report.

Xero will ask you if you would like to make this template your default. We'll show

you how to save a custom report format in the next section. Similar to the

income statement there are three primary ways you can make changes to the balance

sheet report. You can change the report title, you can change the report settings,

or you could change the layout and format of the report. You can change the

title of most reports in Xero. To do this, just hover your mouse near

the title of the report and to the right you'll see a link that says edit title.

If you click that link it opens up that box will give you the option to edit the

report title as you choose to. The options available in the report settings

will depend on the type of report that you are running. The report settings

option for every report in Xero will always be located to the right of the

date range section. Let's take a look at the report settings options that we have

available for our balance sheet report. So the options that we have here are the

ability to compare our report to previous periods. So for example if we

run this report and we say we want it as of the end of last month. And if we chose

to do this as of the previous period then what will happen is we'll have a

report that shows the column as of the end of last month, June 30th 2017. And it

will also have another column that shows us the previous period, which would be

the end of May. Accounting basis: in general most businesses use the cash

method of accounting. However Xero allows you to use either

method, accrual or cash, to run your reports.

Please note the default reports are run using the accrual method of accounting. If you

prefer not to have decimals shown on your report, you can go ahead and remove

this check mark here that says show decimals. And then finally tracking

categories: if you have set up tracking categories in Xero, then you can filter

this report to show all tracking categories that you have set up or just

certain ones. Click the link below to learn more about how tracking categories work.

So in this example we currently have all tracking categories selected.

We could remove all and just select specific ones if that's what we'd like

to do for this report. And then once you've made all the changes to your

report you want to be sure and click the update button so that the data on the

report will refresh. The edit layout designer tool allows you to customize

your reports as follows: it gives you the ability to add rows or columns to track

totals or notes, it allows you to revise account groupings, you can rearrange rows

and columns by dragging and dropping them, and you can change formulas.

So Acme Web Pros Plus would like to add a footer to the bottom of their balance

sheet report. So let's go ahead and walk through the steps to add a footer to

this report, and then we'll save the report as a custom report so that it

will include the footer each time we run our balance sheet report. At the bottom

of the report you'll see a button that says edit layout. Go ahead and click

that button to launch the edit layout designer. So here is our edit layout

designer template. At the very top we've got the toolbar so you can use a toolbar

to format text, add a schedule to the report, add a footer to the report, add a

row, or add a column. So we wanted to go ahead and add a footer to this report.

So we'll click the footer icon here, which takes us to the very bottom of the

report where we can actually type in the footer.

After we've typed our footer information here we can actually format it.

Over to the right we've got an option to bold it, we can italicize it, and we

can even highlight the text. Once you are satisfied with the footer information

you want to go ahead and click the done button over here to the right. And then

we will go back to our report and our new footer should be here. And here it is.

And so now we want to go ahead and make this our default balance sheet report,

which means that each time we come in to run the balance sheet report, it will go

ahead and provide us a comparison to the previous period that we're running our

report for. And it will also show us this footer at the bottom of the report

automatically. Then we want to save this report as a custom report. So to say this

report is a custom report you should name it so that you know it's your

custom report and not the default report in Xero. So make some type of notation to

the report name. This won't show up anywhere this is just so that you know

this is your report. And then you can also make this report your default.

So that as I mentioned each time you come in to run this balance sheet report,

it will be the default balance sheet report that will run. And so we'll click our

save button to make that change, and that's it. So that wraps up the lesson on

how to create a balance sheet report in Xero.

I was sat on top of a mountain in Machu Picchu after drinking a psychedelic substance known

as watchuma (or san pedro), I was looking out at what I believe to be the smaller mountain

of Huchuy Picchu (although the medicine was working pretty strongly at this time, so I

cannot be sure).

This mountain had a colorful shine to it and looked like the long hair of a child.

As people walked by it was as if they were transformed into a childlike nature.

I had a member of our group doing handstands, a man arguing in a very stroppy fashion with

his girlfriend and people generally floating by in a childlike manner.

It was in this moment that I saw masculine and feminine energy in a different light.

With far more levels than just the 2.

It is easy to compartmentalise masculine and feminine into 2 groups, however I have noted

8 archetypes for masculine and feminine energy, although I am sure these could be split into

many more.

Before I go any further- what is the fascination with masculine and feminine energy?

The alchemists have the hermaphrodite as a symbol of spiritual enlightenment.

In Chinese philosophy the yin yang symbolises the merging of the masculine and feminine

energies.

In Hinduism Shiva and Shakti represent the coming together of the divine masculine and

feminine energy.

There are many more examples from across the globe of groups placing the merging of the

masculine and feminine as the pinnacle of spiritual experience, but why?

My understanding of this is the physical reality we live within its dual (meaning all has 2

poles of existence) and as a cross species duality- masculine and feminine is what humans

represent.

Being that the different associated characteristics of human potential are incomplete in either

ends of the spectrum and need both sets to be complete.

Do not confuse masculinity and femininity with gender, as while men are generally more

masculine and women more feminine, we all carry traits from both sets.

A masculine trait is that of self love, while the more feminine counterpart is that of caregiving.

Giving is a characteristic of masculinity, while receiving is the feminine duality.

Logic is masculine, creativity feminine.

Lines masculine, curves feminine.

Strength masculine, love feminine.

Independance masculine, nurturing feminine.

Again I want to reiterate that this is not a male/female thing, nor is it the specific

roles e.g. Mother- but energetic properties that hold the characteristics of gender and

specific gender roles.

Anyone can hold any and all of these properties.

The 8 archetypes of masculine and feminine energies I felt during my experience are as

follows:

Mother

The mother can be fierce like the lioness with her cubs, but she always places the care

of the cub above her own well being and protects at all cost.

The mother�s job is just that- a mother and while there are still other aspects to

the role of a mother- nothing comes above the care of her children.

A mother feeds and nurtures her children, softly corrects them when they are wrong and

shows her children how to nurture themselves and others.

A mother carefully treads the line of softness and strict boundaries, she is a guide, but

also a throne to her child.

A good mother guides, but also gives space for mistakes so the child/ren can grow.

The mother also learns when her cubs are grown and ready to go out and fend for themselves,

but still fully embraces the role of mother when the children need to return to the den.

Father

The Father is strong, courageous and embraces the role of provider.

The father encourages his child to do the same, but is far less hands on than the mothering

role.

A Father is not always physically present, but in times of need he comes to the aid of

his child.

The father leads by example and has a strong purpose which is separate from that of the

family.

This is not to say that the family cannot be involved in his work (they often are),

but that his purpose is also a priority and this sometimes comes at the sacrifice of his

time.

The father also shows that it is okay to feel the full range of emotions and that suppression

of any feelings is weakness masquerading as strength.

But at the same time does not burden his child with all his problems.

The father can also be gentle and embodies the true position of alpha male, which is

that predominantly of strong purpose- but also balance, love and the ability to lead

in the face of adversity.

Sister

The characteristics of the sister are similar to that of the mother, only less grounded

and mature.

The sister is loving and caring to her siblings and also gives you a little more room to maneuver

than the mother.

In a situation when you may get a strong fierce stare from your mother for your mistakes,

the sister will smile and joke when mother is looking the other way.

Sister embodies youthfulness, but protection and care, albeit in a more reckless way than

the mother.

The sister can get you into trouble with her recklessness, but you learn more about yourself

from entering these deep waters.

The sister also often has that youthful wisdom and in certain circumstances knows better

than mother.

The sister also has her own life, so while the love and care is ever present, you are

not always a priority.

She is still maturing, you learn a lot from seeing her mistakes as an unrealised part

of yourself.

Spending time with your sister allows you to see the biggest gender transformation-

which is a girl, turning into a woman as you both grow.

Brother

The brother is the man about the house when the father is not present, he cares deeply

about his family, but is still working out what it means to be a man.

He is more serious than the sister, but still has not developed the intense focus of the

father.

He makes many mistakes in the pursuit of finding himself, but you get to truly see what perseverance

is as he finds his feet and role on earth.

He is also strong, courageous and bold in his actions, although these traits are often

ungrounded and more ambitious than realistic.

The brother is the dreamer, smart enough to know there is more to life, but still not

wise enough to fully understand what this means.

Grandmother

The loving grandmother is very similar to the mother, only she knows that life is not

as serious as the mother thinks it is.

The grandmother is and has been both daughter and mother, so she knows the process.

She is still the caregiver to your mother, so in times when all is to much to handle

for your mother, grandmother steps in and gives her the rest bite needed.

Grandmother is less fierce than mother, but this is only because she does not need to

be- when she speaks you listen, because you know the wisdom is there and you don�t want

to see the fierce side of grandmother.

When mother lets you out into the world to fend for yourself, you know grandmother is

there as guidance.

The grandmother is the caregiver who has been around the block and is grounded in her knowing

of the game of life.

Grandfather

Grandfather has the soft gentle smile that allows you to feel safe in his presence, while

embodying the strong, grounded masculine presence.

Grandfather has been the dreamer and the implementor, but now has no more to prove.

He has completed his work and is now ready to be a guide to help you on your road.

The grandfather is a lot more hands on than the father and while he may not be there as

much, he is always available when you need him.

Grandfather has the muscles to flex, but has come far enough to know that he does not need

to flex them anymore.

He shares words that only time can bring into one�s vocabulary and when he speaks you

listen.

Grandfather is wise and will guide you on the path, but allow you to work out your own

direction.

Grandfather is also courageous, strong and alpha in his ways, but shows it, by knowing

he needs not show it.

Child

Your child is your reflection, they came of you and are as close to you as any other human

being.

They are you without age, and the sum total of all your experience manifested in another

body.

Their mistakes reflect your lack of guidance, and their triumphs are your triumphs.

Your child is your mirror and your biggest responsibility.

And if you do it right, they will become your biggest teacher.

Sometimes the wisest words come from the unconditioned mind and while the wisdom is often ungrounded-

the level of clarity that can come from the soul of a child can often be unmatched by

the wise.

Son

Your son looks up to you for guidance and you have to show him how to be.

He is unrealised potential and has all the capabilities to embody the archetypal qualities

of father and grandfather.

He is the alpha male in the making, but as he grows he is very delicate.

He is unconditioned and embraces the full range of emotion.

Try not to make him into a man too soon, as he needs to embrace the stage of childhood

and play to prepare himself for a life of purpose.

Your son has come from you, but you must remember he is not you, and he will have to make his

own way.

As he grows you will be one of his guides, but not his guardian.

Daughter

The daughter is the caregiver and will often exhibit these traits from a very young age.

Daughters are a lot more grounded than sons and often know who they are from a very young

age.

For a daughters to fully embrace her role as a caregiver she often needs to step into

the dual state of selfishness.

This is part of the becoming of who she is.

Do not fight it and let this be a reflection of a part of yourself that needs to be explored.

The daughter is affectionate, loving and playful.

She shows us the youthful part of ourselves that needs exploration.

We are all children that have grown up and sometimes we need to revisit this place to

refill our cup.

Your daughter is the biggest metamorphosis, she is the caterpillar turning into the butterfly

as she grows.

This can work as a metaphor and reminder to you that growth is a never ending process.
