Norway the land of fjords and the Vikings.

In Norwegian, the name of the country has two different spellings Noreg (in Nynorsk)

and Norge (in Bokmål).

And both of these names are very similar to the English name for the country.

The name Norway comes from the Old English word Norþweg, meaning "northern way" or "way

leading to the north", which is how the Anglo-Saxons referred to the coastline of Atlantic Norway.

The Anglo-Saxons also referred to Norway as Norðmanna land or "north men land" but

this name never stuck.

Possibly because it is a bit of a mouthful!

It is generally believed that the name of Norway in Norwegian comes from the same meaning

as the English as according to the traditional view, the first component was originally norðr,-

a word related to the English north – making the name Norðr vegr, 'the way northwards',

referring to the sailing route along the Norwegian coast, and contrasting with suðrvegar "southern

way" for Germany, and austrvegr "eastern way" for the Baltic.

But according to a new theory According to another theory, the first component was a

word nór, meaning 'narrow', referring to the inner-archipelago sailing

route ('narrow way') through the land.

Zelda Breath Of The Wild Multiplayer Mod | Creator Q&A (Full Story) - Duration: 10:25.

Hey guys! Welcome back to the channel!

So did you....

It seems like everyone is talking about the new Zelda Breath of the Wild multiplayer mod!

Everyone is so excited and are either trying to get their hands on it or are offering their

help in the development of the mod.

And I can't blame them!

The screen caps look amazing!

So with many questions of my own, I decided to reach out to Fooni, the creator of the

project.

I was able to get her to sit down in a chat with me and we discussed Multiplayer mod screen

caps that were posted so that I could learn more about the project.

...And hopefully find answers some of the questions that I've noticed many in the community

are also asking!

Unfortunately this was only a text chat session, so instead of me reading all of Fooni's response,

I'll be using a text to speech bot to hopefully keep the interview a little more lively.

Q&A

JK: Fooni, as you know, HYPE for the Zelda BOTW Multiplayer mod has *exploded* since

you posted the first batch of shots!

I'm seeing huge media outlets all over the net talk about it.

The Know, GameSpot, GameRant, Destructoid, Eurogamer as well as a bunch of other Youtubers.

But information seems to be extremely limited.

There's only so much that screen shots can tell us and it seems that all of the media

outlets are regurgitating the same info.

It looks like none of them really thought of interviewing you properly to get the entire

story.

Of course, this is why I've reached out to you myself.

In hopes of answering some questions!

So let's get right into it!

Fooni: Okay!

JK: Can you tell me what inspired this project?

Fooni: What inspired this project was the Ocarina of Time Multiplayer Hack back in Project

64 Emulation - for those of you who were around then.

JK: Oh okay, cool.

Yeah, I know there are a few other multiplayer mods out there for what were originally just

first person games.

I've also seen the Mario 64 Multiplayer mod which looks like a lot of fun.

Fooni: Yes, i've played the Mario 64 Multiplayer mod on Dolphin Emulator with my nephew and

we both had fun!

It was a fun Co-Op experience for an old game.

JK: So I have to jump right into it and ask you about those amazing screen shots you posted

of the BOTW Multiplayer Mod in the REGNR8 Discord Server.

Of course, originally you posted 2 sets of photos and then you recently followed up with

a 3rd screen cap which showed a 3rd player on screen.

It got a lot of excitement from people since it showed OoT Link face off against Dark Link.

So what can you tell me about the photos that you posted and can you follow up with

answering how far into development you are on this?

Fooni: The truth is, these pieces of screenshots were made very, very early as concept arts

to share and give ideas for modders.

Take it as an example of what the game will look like if there was another Player Link

side by side with Player 1 Link.

Imagine how both players will feel and excited when they both began from the ressurection

chamber and explore the game with their own interests and sharing discoveries of what

they can do.

As for screenshots specifically, The first screenshot in the chamber with Two Link's

was meant to depict the excitement of two players just starting off in Breath of the

Wild as a co-op experience.

Then we see the next screenshot that shows Player 2 Link cannot ride Player 1's horse.

This screenshot is showing to players that they cannot use each other's stuff when they

are exploring.

A horse is an example of that.

The third screenshot showing Dark Link intervening both of the players was meant to be an enemy

and not a 3rd Player.

The Dark Link screenshot was supposed to depict the players that they are not alone and Dark

Link can attack both of the players at anytime during gameplay.

JK: Oh wow!

So contrary to what all of the big media outlets are saying, this isn't exactly in development

yet?

Fooni: That is right.

This project was not in development, but rather was in the planning phase which needed a lot

of research and testing whether or not it will work.

I posted the screenshots to share within the Cemu Community only to inspire dev's and modders

and be excited of the posibility.

I already knew it was possible since it worked on some of the past Emulators.

As the Cemu Emulator grows and continues its developement I think we'll come closer to

doing similar things on Cemu.

What happened with the screenshots was once it was posted outside of [the] REGNR8 and

Cemu Discord it was quickly spread all over the internet and Gaming news websites caught

wind of it and they all started making news about it.

JK: Wow, the power of the media, eh?

They're not exactly practicing due diligence in terms of research in order to uphold journalistic

integrity are they?

That's disappointing to hear that there is no official demo planned for release but I

have to follow up and ask: I think it was either on Discord or in the Cemu sub reddit

that I saw something about you using two Cemu clients?

Can you speak on this?

Fooni: Yes!

The 2 Player screenshot was meant to show or inspire developers and modders on

how a two Cemu Clients would sync with each other through the Socket API which was implemented

in Cemu version 1.8.1 and with a modded game copy of BOTW.

I barely scraped the surface of starting development on it myself.

I wasn't able to run two Cemu clients with my limited PC specs.

Both of the games would freeze or load a long time with as low as 2-4fps for both of the

clients during gameplay.

I think the main reason for the cause of slowdown was due to shader caching and the limitation

of running both clients at the same time which causes very high ram and resource usage.

This is why i think it will be nice to see what professional developers/modders can do

with better hardware or specs and the skillsets for development.

JK: So at this point in time it sounds like you'd like to see others really bring this

project to life then?

Where would you like to see this project head into the future?

How long do you think it will take before Cemu advances to the point where developers

and modders in the community can really bring this project to life to rival other multiplayer

mods like the one for Mario 64 and OoT?

Fooni: That is correct!

I would love to see others to really bring this project to life.

The experience and joy of seeing multiplayer for Zelda: Breath Of The Wild have been on

my mind for awhile now.

Which was why I took those screenshots.

I would like to see this project expand in the community in the future so others can

input their opinions on it with shared ideas and goals.

How long do I think it will take Cemu to reach and bring this multiplayer mod to life?

It will take many years, but it is not to say that if someone were to start developing

today and formed a dedicated team, that I would give it a 4 to 5 year estimation.

It could be sooner.

If it were to rival the past multiplayer hacks and mods - I think the multiplayer project

for Zelda: Breath Of The Wild would be better in results considering what we've seen from

this community so far.

JK: It seems that you've been pretty tight lipped until now.

I imagine that the explosion in the gaming news circles have been both exciting as well

as a little intimidating for you?

Fooni: Yes, it is true that it's been very intimidating.

I've had a lot of people asking me the same questions and asking for demo downloads.

so it's been very overwhelming.

But I'm very glad that so many people are interested in the idea and I look forward

to seeing where others developers/modders can take the concept in the future.

JK: Fooni, thank you so much for taking the time to sit down with me and speak openly

with me about this.

I really appreciate the opportunity to share the story behind the story.

Again, I'm feeling a little disappointed that there won't be a working multiplayer mod demo

to test in the near future.

But as we've seen with other emulators, multiplayer mods are more than possible.

As Cemu continues to advance in development we are also continuing to see more mods and

hacks being developed.

With that thought, I'm actually pretty hopeful that we'll be testing this in the coming years!

Dark Secrets Of The Cast Of Twilight - Duration: 5:52.

The Twilight Saga was, well, a saga, both on-screen and off. The first film grossed

nearly $400 million at the box office, leading to a fever-pitch of Twi-hard obsession around

the world. Of course, with that level of fame often comes scandal, and the cast of Twilight

certainly wasn't immune. From jaw-dropping affairs to sudden cast changes, here are the

biggest scandals that threatened to derail the stars' careers, and the Saga altogether.

The Robsten craze

Undoubtedly the biggest celebrity news story to come out of the Twilight saga was the demise

of the relationship between stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.

Their mysterious, media-shy fling began to unravel in July 2012 after Us Weekly published

photos of Stewart getting way too close to her married Snow White and the Huntsman director

Rupert Sanders. The photo bombshell dominated the tabloids, forcing Stewart to issue a public

apology to Pattinson for cheating. The couple tried to weather the storm but wound up splitting

for good in 2013, with Sanders' marriage also a casualty of the cheating scandal.

While Stewart later called her breakup from Pattinson "incredibly painful," Pattinson

ultimately took it in stride, telling British Esquire,

"S*** happens, you know? It's just young people... it's normal! And honestly, who gives a s***?"

Fair enough. But before they were done, they still had issues aplenty, particularly when

it came to the explosive attention they received from fans.

Throughout their relationship, Stewart and Pattinson were plagued by Internet and tabloid

gossip alleging that their relationship was nothing but a Hollywood publicity stunt. Whether

far-fetched or not, there were a number of incidents along the way that certainly fanned

those flames—like when Stewart told T Magazine in 2016, "People wanted me and Rob to be together

so badly that our relationship was made into a product. It wasn't real life anymore."

"That was pretty fun."

The bulk up

When director Chris Weitz was hired to direct the second Twilight film, New Moon, rumors

swirled that he was thinking about replacing Taylor Lautner with an actor who physically

fit Jacob's buffed-up description in the book.

"Taylor left the first movie being like a little boy with a long wig"

Amid the drama, Lautner campaigned to stay in the movie by transforming his own body

into that of a chiseled beast.

"It was a lot of hard work all the way around. I mean, obviously a lot of hours in the gym.

But the most challenging part was the eating process. But basically I had to double my calorie intake per day."

Ultimately, he won the right to continue his role through to the end, with the full confidence

of the director, who said, he "was always convinced that he was going to be able to

do it." But there was another actor whose unceremonious exit from the Saga was handled

much less nicely.

The Victoria switch

Rachelle Lefevre played the villainous vampire Victoria in both Twilight and New Moon; however,

much to the horror of the Twilight fandom, director David Slade decided to give her the

boot before filming kicked off for Eclipse, which would've been her most prominent appearance

in the franchise. She was replaced by actress Bryce Dallas Howard, with the studio citing

scheduling conflicts over Lefevre's attachment to indie project Barney's Version, but Lefevre

was openly "stunned" by the decision.

Incidentally, Catherine Hardwicke, who had directed the first Twilight, came forward

to say that the studio had always wanted Howard for the role, and cast Lefevre when Howard

wasn't available, adding insult to injury. Eventually, though, the two Victorias got

together to ensure there'd be no bad blood between them.

"The circumstances around it had nothing to do with us."

"She's awesome."

The marriage bust

In March 2012, the tabloids confirmed that Peter Facinelli, who played Dr. Carlisle Cullen,

and his wife of 11 years, Jennie Garth, were divorcing. Garth later revealed in her memoir,

Deep Thoughts from a Hollywood Blonde, that while the split seemed sudden, it was many

years in the making. Facinelli's overnight success in the Twilight Saga, combined with

his bicoastal work life while filming Nurse Jackie in New York, contributed to the stress.

She wrote, "All I know is that I felt like I was waiting: for him to come home, waiting

for him to be free to join me in the day-to-day of our family life, waiting for the next job

to be lined up that would take him far away from us again."

That next job turned out to be the movie Loosies, where Facinelli met Jaimie Alexander, who

would become his fiancée. But that relationship wasn't meant to be, either; Alexander called

off their engagement in early 2016.

The airport meltdown

Bronson Pelletier, who played a member of Jacob's wolf pack, had a public relations

nightmare on his hands after exhibiting some very bad behavior at LAX in December 2012.

Pelletier was first kicked off a plane after he was deemed "too intoxicated to fly" by

officers. He was then told to wait for another flight, during which he allegedly began "urinating

in public by the gate," all of which was later broadcast by TMZ. Cops returned to the scene

and arrested him for public intoxication.

"No, that definitely did not happen."

After the incident, TMZ discovered that just one week prior, Pelletier had been arrested

for felony meth and cocaine possession at a bar. He was later sentenced to two years'

probation for the peeing incident.

The wild child

Back in early 2002, Nikki Reed and eventual Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke co-wrote

the movie Thirteen, based on Reed's tumultuous upbringing. Hardwicke told The New York Daily

News, "When she started changing from 12 to 13 years old, I saw her losing her joy. She

became so angry. It really freaked me out. I wanted her to get back to creative, rather

than destructive, things."

While the film earned strong notices and an Oscar nomination for co-star Holly Hunter,

Reed later admitted she "wasn't ready" for fame at age 15 and that Thirteen hindered

her relationship with her parents. She also admitted to Zooey magazine in 2012 that the

film wasn't as autobiographical as she thought it was, saying,

"It was from one kid's perspective and not a well rounded one. You get older and it's

like, how dare I portray my father as being a totally vacant careless schmuck?"

"Bitch!"

"What the hell?"

How to Create a Balance Sheet Report in Xero - Duration: 10:59.

Welcome to the Fit Small Business Xero training course. In this lesson we're

going to cover how to create a balance sheet report in Xero. To follow along

with me, log in to your Xero account now or click the link below this video for a

free 30-day trial of Xero. You can also click this link to access our full Xero

course and other helpful resources. Let's get started. The balance sheet report

shows the assets, liabilities, and owner's equity of your business as of a point in time.

For example, as of December 31st 2016. The balance sheet report provides

you with the net worth of your company which in other words shows what your

business owns, known as assets, versus what you owe to others, known as

liabilities. Depending on the results of this report you may be able to attract

potential investors or secure a business loan from your bank or financial

institution. Similar to the income statement which we discussed in the

previous lesson, your balance sheet will only be as accurate as the information

you have entered into Xero. Therefore you must do a good job of entering all

invoices, bills, credit notes, and banking transactions into Xero in a timely

manner. We recommend at least monthly if not more often. Click the links below to

access our lessons on invoices, bills, credit notes and banking transactions.

By staying on top of entering all of your business transactions, you will always

have an up-to-date balance sheet report that you can review monthly and provide

to potential investors. Reviewing your balance sheet on a monthly basis has the

following advantages: you'll be able to identify assets, liabilities or equity

transactions that have been categorized to the wrong account, you'll be able to

catch missing assets or liabilities which could cause inaccurate financial

statements, and you'll be able to take proactive steps to improve your overall

net worth. To create a balance sheet report in Xero, from the Xero dashboard

you want to click on reports and then select all reports. The balance sheet

report is located in the financial section. As you can see here there are

two balance sheet reports. Xero has redesigned several reports and the

balance sheet is one of those reports. For the purposes of this lesson we will

discuss the new balance sheet report which has a new button to the right of

it here. You can easily add a report to your favorites by clicking the star to

the left of the name of the report. So as you can see right now the old balance

sheet report was a favorite report. So what we'll do is we'll click that star

to remove that from the favorites list and we'll actually add our new balance

sheet report to the favorites list. Now when you add a report to the favorites

list what that does is when we go back up to the reports menu, instead of

clicking on all reports we'll be able to go directly to the report that we'd like

to run. And so we'll be able to go down to our balance sheet report and run it

directly from there. Let's go ahead and run our report. In the next screen

we'll go ahead and select the date range that we'd like to run the report for.

So from the drop down here you can actually select one of the preset dates here from

the list, or you can click custom and then select a different date that you'd

like to use. Be sure to click the update button to

refresh the report. So here is a sample balance sheet report for our fictitious

company Acme Web Pros Plus. The balance sheet report can be exported to a PDF,

Excel, or Google sheets. Just click the export button and then make your

selections here. You can also save a report as a draft, published, or custom.

The draft option allows you to create a balance sheet report that you or someone

else can make changes to later on. You might create several draft balance sheet

reports before you are ready to publish them. The published option is used to

save reports when you are finalizing the books for the month or the year.

A published report will not change if for some reason the information in the

system has changed or updated in some way. You can only publish reports if you have

the advisor user role. Click here to access this lesson. And finally a custom

report: you want to use this option to save the format of the balance sheet

report so that you don't have to recreate it each time you run the report.

Xero will ask you if you would like to make this template your default. We'll show

you how to save a custom report format in the next section. Similar to the

income statement there are three primary ways you can make changes to the balance

sheet report. You can change the report title, you can change the report settings,

or you could change the layout and format of the report. You can change the

title of most reports in Xero. To do this, just hover your mouse near

the title of the report and to the right you'll see a link that says edit title.

If you click that link it opens up that box will give you the option to edit the

report title as you choose to. The options available in the report settings

will depend on the type of report that you are running. The report settings

option for every report in Xero will always be located to the right of the

date range section. Let's take a look at the report settings options that we have

available for our balance sheet report. So the options that we have here are the

ability to compare our report to previous periods. So for example if we

run this report and we say we want it as of the end of last month. And if we chose

to do this as of the previous period then what will happen is we'll have a

report that shows the column as of the end of last month, June 30th 2017. And it

will also have another column that shows us the previous period, which would be

the end of May. Accounting basis: in general most businesses use the cash

method of accounting. However Xero allows you to use either

method, accrual or cash, to run your reports.

Please note the default reports are run using the accrual method of accounting. If you

prefer not to have decimals shown on your report, you can go ahead and remove

this check mark here that says show decimals. And then finally tracking

categories: if you have set up tracking categories in Xero, then you can filter

this report to show all tracking categories that you have set up or just

certain ones. Click the link below to learn more about how tracking categories work.

So in this example we currently have all tracking categories selected.

We could remove all and just select specific ones if that's what we'd like

to do for this report. And then once you've made all the changes to your

report you want to be sure and click the update button so that the data on the

report will refresh. The edit layout designer tool allows you to customize

your reports as follows: it gives you the ability to add rows or columns to track

totals or notes, it allows you to revise account groupings, you can rearrange rows

and columns by dragging and dropping them, and you can change formulas.

So Acme Web Pros Plus would like to add a footer to the bottom of their balance

sheet report. So let's go ahead and walk through the steps to add a footer to

this report, and then we'll save the report as a custom report so that it

will include the footer each time we run our balance sheet report. At the bottom

of the report you'll see a button that says edit layout. Go ahead and click

that button to launch the edit layout designer. So here is our edit layout

designer template. At the very top we've got the toolbar so you can use a toolbar

to format text, add a schedule to the report, add a footer to the report, add a

row, or add a column. So we wanted to go ahead and add a footer to this report.

So we'll click the footer icon here, which takes us to the very bottom of the

report where we can actually type in the footer.

After we've typed our footer information here we can actually format it.

Over to the right we've got an option to bold it, we can italicize it, and we

can even highlight the text. Once you are satisfied with the footer information

you want to go ahead and click the done button over here to the right. And then

we will go back to our report and our new footer should be here. And here it is.

And so now we want to go ahead and make this our default balance sheet report,

which means that each time we come in to run the balance sheet report, it will go

ahead and provide us a comparison to the previous period that we're running our

report for. And it will also show us this footer at the bottom of the report

automatically. Then we want to save this report as a custom report. So to say this

report is a custom report you should name it so that you know it's your

custom report and not the default report in Xero. So make some type of notation to

the report name. This won't show up anywhere this is just so that you know

this is your report. And then you can also make this report your default.

So that as I mentioned each time you come in to run this balance sheet report,

it will be the default balance sheet report that will run. And so we'll click our

save button to make that change, and that's it. So that wraps up the lesson on

how to create a balance sheet report in Xero.

Currently Reading: Non-Fiction - Part 2 - Duration: 5:00.

So this is part two of non-fiction books I'm currently reading.

If you haven't seen part 1 it is on my channel and also I'll put a link in the description.

Watch that if you want, before this or after this, there's no particular order anyway um

but yeah.

So these are the last five non-fiction books that I'm currently reading.

One that I started a really long time ago and have't actually gone back to in a little while

um but it was really interesting so hopefully I will go back to it eventually, is The Language

Instinct by Steven Pinker.

This book's from like the nineties or something so like a little oldish.

It's about language and how we learn languages as like children and how we're forming languages

in our brains and also as adults a little bit um.

Where I'm up to it's mostly about children still, um and it's about how our brain figures

out grammar and language and how it like stores it and thinks about it and stuff and it's

really really interesting.

It's super cool.

The next one is The Pig That Wants to Be Eaten and Ninety-Nine Other Thought Problems by

Julian Baggini and this is one I mentioned in the last video um because the title comes

from a thing that's in one of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy books, I think it's The

Restaurant at the End of the Universe.

Um they have a pig that they've manufactured so that it wants to be eaten, like its life

goal is to be eaten and it discusses the morality of that kind of thing and whether that's better

or worse than just having an animal that's not aware at all or if it's coercive to make

it think that um and that's just one of the thought experiments in this there's a lot

of them.

There's a lot of science-fictiony ones like um teleportation and stuff like that.

It's really interesting.

The next book I'm only like ten pages into um but it is Physics of the Impossible: A

Scientific Exploration of the World of Phasers, Force Fields, Teleportation and Time Travel,

yeah there's gonna be a running theme in this video of like a few books that are to do with

sciencey stuff in science fiction.

Yeah, this is just like a really cool - I bought it mainly for the time travel aspect

because if you know anything about me, literally anything about me, you will know that I am

obsessed with time travel, but also like all the other stuff sounds really cool.

Um yeah, I've not got super far into it but yeah there's stuff about like cyborgs and

aliens and force fields and stuff like that.

This one is one that is like super old, I got it second hand and it's another sci-fi one

It's In the Chinks of the World Machine: Feminism and Science-Fiction by Sarah LeFanu and fun

fact: she is actually related to Sheridan Le Fanu, who wrote the book Carmilla.

I don't know if you've heard of that but yeah that, I found that really interesting.

This is just about like different representations of women in science-fiction.

I can't remember entirely but I think it's just um books and literature, and there's

a lot about Ursula Le Guin in here who is an author that I really really like.

It has a lot of really interesting stuff about science-fiction and stuff that I hadn't thought

of before reading it myself, um especially stuff that I read when I was younger because

I wasn't super into feminism then, I didn't really know much about it.

I didn't like tend to notice these things.

I've only got one post-it note so far but there will probably be more soon and yeah,

it's a good book.

And the last one is the biggest, even this one I'm not that far into either um but I

did start it not that long ago so.

It's The Second Sex by Simone de Beauvoir, most people have heard of it um.

It's a pretty famous book.

It's about women and feminism throughout like history and society and why, you know, we

have the patriarchal system that we do, and yeah there's heaps of post-it notes already

even though I haven't read much.
